Preferred Solution: Change email button Send Later to Send

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I am having a hard time with this,I had a windows error when I replaced some ram, it corrupted my Outlook ( don't ask why)...So I ran the Repair option from the disk. After that the send and send / receive buttons are missing. (send from email messages also). The Send receive button appears for a second when it loads and then dissapears.

I tried deleting the outcmd.dat and restarting outlook but it did not fix it.

In windows Mail on Vista, there used to be a 'send button' in the compose email form. The button isn't showing up anymore but you can send by finding the tiny send icon in the toolbar. How do you get the send button to show up in the email compose form??

I am a relative beginner who doesn't know much about operating systems. My computer is an HP presario and runs Windows XP. I have installed microsoft office 2003. I used to be able to send E-mails from there but now my send button is missing. Outlook won't allow me to send mail from anywhere else but Outlook itself and I can't even send a link from explorer. This is very annoying. I don't think I did anything to cause this but I could be wrong. HELP!!!

Hi there,

I'm having trouble with this!

I have a workbook with various sheets in it.

One of these worksheets contains certain cells which need to be sent via Outlook email system to another user.

I would like to create a button on the sheet which when clicked will send only the certain cells to particular users via Outlook.

I need the email addresses in the email to be auto-populated and also a brief note to appear in the main text along with the cells and in the subject line of the email: E.g: "Monthly Data for April"

Can't seem to figure it out so any help greatly received!

Answer:Want to create a button on a worksheet to send certain cells by email

Hi there,

We can point you in the right direction, or help you with a solution. If you want us to help you, please provide more details. You would need a 'control' sheet for best results. This would line out a range address to be emailed, email recipient(s), subject, etc. Could you post a sample file? Also, what versions of Office are you using?

Edit: Where are my manners.... welcome to the board!!!

Hello,
I have a customer complaint database. I need to be able to have the employees fill out a form and then click a button and send only the form as a PDF attachment to a administrator so the admin can call the customer and get the issue resolved.

When i try to create the Macro it sends all the complaints in the database. How do i create a button that will send ONLY the one complaint.

I am not very well versed in Querys or VBA, so any help would be appreciated.

Attached is a sample of the database

Did not find answer when I searched.I have Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, and IE6, SP2.When I go to a web site and click on File, Send page by email or Send link by email, I get the message box entitled Enter Network Password, asking for user name and password.   How can I get it to go right to the Hot Mail message box so I can send?   In Tools, Internet Options, Programs, the Email section shows Hot Mail, so it should go right to Hot Mail.If I change the Internet Options, Programs, Email section to Yahoo Mail, instead of going to my Yahoo mail, I get a message box with the title Microsoft Exchange Setup Wizard, but it should take me to my Yahoo Mail.Anyone know how I can fix these two to work right?   Thanks much.Anna Ruth

Answer:File, send page by email, send link by email

Since you are using web client based e-mail it won't do this automatically...Copy and paste the links into Hotmail and it should work fine...

Recently installed Outlook 2000. Works fine except for one small annoying glitch. All email is sent and received smoothly when I click Tools, Send/Receive and then the name of my Internet Service Provider. Mail flys out of the Outbox and arrives in the Inbox quickly. But, if I attempt to do the same operation by clicking the Send/Receive button on the top toolbar, only that mail which is in the outbox is sent, but mail sitting at my server is not received! If I then try the tools, send/receive method, the mail is received. So,the glitch is the Send/receive button only sends, but can't seem to receive mail, yet I can receive and send via the tools tab. Another strange and possibly related thing is, if when not connected I click the send/receive button and nothing is in the outbox, then it just says successful task. But if there is an email in the outbox when I click the send/receive button, it brings up the dial up connection box and when I am connected sends it smoothly, but again does not receive any mail I may have. When I had Outlook 98, the send/receive button would send, receive and bring up the dial up if necessary.
I can use Outlook 2000 without this button, and work through the tools route but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on why everything seemingly works well except I can't get the Send/receive button to receive mail.....and if I am not connected this same button won't bring up the dial up connection if there is nothing in the outbox. I kno... Read more

Answer:(Resolved) Outlook 2000 email send/receive button question

Fixed it!! Somehow I had not checked the box "include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing" which is found when you go into Accounts, then Properties and click the General Tab. That's why the button would only send. My only consolation is that I found this very dumb mistake before someone else bothered to clue me in.
Until next time..........

I successfully did the following on a Compaq Presario laptop:

RegEdit: Classes Root\Directory - right click Shell, New Key - name Send Email, new string value - Send Email. Right click Send Email key, New Key - name Command, new string value - c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe/mailurl:

When I right click the Start button and click Send Email, the OE new message box appears. That way you don't have to open OE then click Create Mail. Works fine in the Compaq.

I did the very same thing in a Toshiba laptop XP but when I click Send Email in the Start button context menu, it says C:\Docs and Sets\RAM\Start Menu: Access Denied, yet I'm logged in as RAM and I created the shortcut and the command in registry has nothing to do with my folder in Docs and Sets. If I add a space '.exe /mailurl:' OE splash comes up then a box saying OE may not be installed properly, click OK, then another box saying OE would not open because msoe.dll could not be initialized. Clicking on an OE shortcut brings OE right up so apparently msoe.dll is fine. (I did replace the dll but made no difference.)

I can make OE open by putting quotes around "c:\...........exe", but I cannot get the New Message box to open from the shortcut.

If anyone can help I would surely appreciate it. Now it has become more than just a convenience shortcut - it has become a challenge!

Recently I got a email from "Mail Delivery System <[email protected]>" in which it said that the email that I was trying to send was not send, and the email content was typical SPAM ("Hi, Look what I've just found for you, you'll be surprised, more info here <Spam link here> ") . So I got worried and tried to change my password but when I go to Yahoo account info --> Account security, and click on change password nothing happens just the page reloads.

Just scanned my pc with malwarebytes no malware found.

I'm on Windows 2000 using Outlook Express. I have 2 email accounts. They were both working fine for ages then suddenly they stopped sending emails. I checked the configuration and when I clicked on 'Accounts' and 'Servers' I found the pop3/ smtp lines had been changed to a list of numbers! and my user name had extra characters. For example, it changed from smtp.freeserve.com and pop.freeserve.com to 127.0.0.1 on both lines. and the user name changed from MYUSERNAME.freeserve.co.uk to [email protected]

To begin with I changed these back on both accounts and mail would send ok. However it now does it every time i open outlook express, and mail is not sending despite me correcting the settings!!
please help!!

Having registered, it said: "Congratulations! You are now a PC Advisor Account member.
Please note: In order to post in our forums you need to confirm your email address by clicking on the 'SEND ACTIVATION EMAIL' button on any of our forum listings or forum post pages."
So I've come to this Win 8 forum, but can't see a "Send Activation Email" button anywhere. Frustrated now!

Hey everybody,
Thank you for the help in advance. I have my computer set to hotmail as my server when I want to send an email link to a page I am on. My address book does not automatically fill in when I address the sendee. How do I do this, and/or how do I change it to gmail, where I believe, (whether correctly or not,) that the address book will populate when I type the first few letters of the sendee's address? Thanks again for your expertise. Nike

When I click on a file on my desktop say, and I wish to send to "mail recipient" --- it defaults to Outlook. Is it possible to change it to GMAIL? Gmail obviously isn't on the list of programs, since it's not a program...but, surely there has to be a way??? I've been googling like crazy, but, all I see is adding google talk or gmail notifier, which I had already, but, those don't change anything except for clicking on email links on websites.

Answer:send button

I'm not familiar with Mozilla Thunderbird, so someone else will need to address that issue.

-------------------------------------------------------

You appear to have a rogue security program in your computer, so we need to confirm that and also see what else needs to be addressed.

Go here and click the green "Download latest version" link to download and save HiJackThis 2.0.4.

After it's been downloaded and saved, close all open windows first, then double-click the saved file to install it.

Allow it to install in its default location - C:\Program Files.

After it's been installed, start it and allow the main window to load.

Remove the checkmark in "Do not show this window when I start HiJackThis".

Click "Do a system scan and save a log file".

When the scan is finished in less than 30 seconds, a log file will appear.

Save that log file.

Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the entire log file here.

Thanks

Answer:Why dont I have a send button

For the Send button to be available, you must have an e-mail account set up in your Microsoft Outlook profile. You might have chosen not to add an e-mail account when you installed Outlook, or you might have canceled the E-mail Accounts wizard.

Or Right Click on the Outlook Toolbar (grey area), and select Standard Toolbars

I have never had this problem before..........and the only thing I can think that interrupted it was when I installed Microsoft Publisher on my computer the other day. Ever since then I have noticed the difference.

I know this shouldn't be rocket science...........does anyone have a simple solution for me?

I am using Oulook 2002 (part of the MS Office XP suite). When I want to send a new email, there is no "send" button. From what I have read, this indicates that I don't have an email account set up. However, I have set one up a number of times. However, in the new mail screen (the one with no "send" button) the "accounts" button (which has a pull-down menu) does not show any accounts. If I set up MS Outlook Express the same way, it works just fine. Also, I have my computer set up with two user profiles (MS Windows XP Home). My wife's profile uses Outlook as well and it works just fine. This one is driving me nuts! Any thoughts?

I'm using Windows Vista on a new Dell desktop thats only a few months old.

I have chosen to use Windows Mail instead of Outlook Express and keep encountering this problem.

I'm very familiar with using the right-click "Send To" option to send pictures and websites to my friends. However, when I right click and choose "Mail Recipient", it keeps bringing up a new mail file from within Outlook Express instead of Windows Mail. I have not configured Outlook Express with my information and have no use for it all. Also on this newly created email, there is also no Send button to click on or Send option from the File menu's.

I think the problem could be some sort of conflict between the two email programs. Is there a way I can make Windows Mail my default email program so each time I right click it will send to that program instead of Outlook. Should I just remove Outlook completely or no?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and thanks in advance.

Answer:Missing Send Button

You keep mentioning Outlook Express but I'm thinking you have Outlook - big difference since Outlook Express came with XP. Anyway, Outlook has a habit of trying to be your default email client. Sometimes when you download updates for Vista it will change your email client back to Outlook - I'm an instructor for one of the largest computer clubs in Florida and we have that problem every time Vista updates itself. You need to change your default to Windows Mail. By the way, no "Send" button in Outlook is perfectly normal when Outlook hasn't been set up. As soon as you set up your email account, the Send button will appear.

I wrote a message using MS Word. Clicked "File" at page top, scrolled down to "Mial Recipient". A box came up labled Microsoft Word. In the box is, "Word could not load the email envelope. This could be caused by a network conenction problem or a problem with your Office installation.Instead of clicking "Mail Recipient". I clicked "Mail Recipient (as Attachment). This goes to the email page with the message I wrote, but there is no "send" button anywhere. Under the menu bar at the top, is a yellow bar with, "The message has not been sent" in it.Where can I find the "send" button?

Answer:Where is the Send button in MS Word?

"Where can I find the "send" button?"There is no "send" button in Microsoft Word.It is much easier and simpler to use the correct application to compose and send email messages, so use Microsoft Outlook instead of Microsoft Word.Or save your Word document as a file, then open Outlook >> New Message, and "insert" your Word document as an attachment. If that doesn't work either, check that you have a working internet connection or call your ISP to see if they are having any problems with their email service. Also check that your email account settings are correct in Outlook.Using Microsoft Word to compose and send emails is pointless if you've got email software (eg Outlook) installed.message edited by phil22

Hi, my name is ashton roesbery and i am currently on a windows xp home edition, version 2002, and a service pack 1. it's manufactured and supported by compaq and presario. it has 2.8 GHz and 504 mb of ram. just recently i downloaded spybot search and destroy. i thought it would get rid of the"send error report thing but it didn't. when i clicked "send error report," it brought me to a screen with a message about downloading windows version service pack 2. i tried downloading it but it said, your system doesn't support it". when i click "don't send," it logs me off any internet activity im doing. for some reason it doesn't let me get onto my email. what should i do?

Answer:"send Error Report Or Dont Send", Thing Keeps Popping Up.

Hi ashton_r,You actually have a couple of things going on here. Let start with the message "send Error Report Or Dont Send". That message is from XP's error handling services. When XP has a problem, you can choose to send a report to Microsoft that helps them debug XP. One of the nice things about this feature is if there is a fix, you can usuall click a link on the acknoledgement window that will take you to Microsoft to download a patch or fix. It is possible that is when you are getting the option to download SP2. SpyBot is a tool to remove adware/spyware/malware. It doeas clean up a lot of "junk" on your computer. It may or may not help with your problem. If you suspect you have the bad stuff on your system, I would recommend using this post Start HereIMHO, I would make sure all viruses, malware, adware, was off of my computer before applying SP2. Good luck... hope this helps.Rigel

Hye guys, I was wondering if you could help me with a problem that I am experiencing with my "Send to" button. Whenever I move my mouse over the "Send to" button in my context menu, my computer freezes for about thirty seconds. It is an annoying little problem for me because whenever I want to send a shortcut to my desktop, I have to click create shortcut and then paste it on my desktop. Also when I open my context menu, sometimes I move my mouse over the "Send to" button by accident and then my computer freezes for about thirty seconds. I also read that it is something about a printer that slows this down, but, there isn't anything like a printer etc. in the "Send to" button or folder. Hope you guys can help! Thanks!

Okay, I know i have seen this problem before, but I can not remember for the life of me how you solve it.

MS OUTLOOK XP does not have any SEND/RECEIVE button. And SEND/RECEIVE is missing from the TOOLS menu.

And if you try to create new email, the SEND button is missing too.

As I remember, reinstalling OUTLOOK does not do any thing. So I am going ot be need some other suggestions.

Answer:No Send/receive Button On Ms Outlook

Try deleting outcmd.dat. That file controls the Outlook toolbars and if you delete it, it sould reset the toolbars and bring back the missing buttons.

In Outlook Express, click Tools, and then click Options. On the General tab, if the Default Messaging Programs section states Outlook Express is NOT the default mail handler; click Make Default, and then click OK.

Running Outlook 2003 on Exchange Server - Win XP Pro SP2 Office 03 SP2

Problem: In outlook, if you click on calendar - right click to make a new appointment. In the window that opens, I click on the Scheduling tab. Type in a persons name to schedule - normally you can hit the TAB key and the "Save and Close" button at the top turns into "Send" However the save and close button goes away and the Send button never appears. The only way to send is to hit the X at the top right and a prompt appears and asks if I want to send.

What I've tried: Reboot PC - Repair Office - Reinstall Office - checked toolbar settings - reset toolbars - all to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions, that'd be great.

Outlook Express 6, 1 ISP, 2 email addresses, no identities created;I've just set up address no. 2, and can receive emails for both accounts into 1 inbox with Tools/Send and Receive/Send and receive all.Is there a way of just using the send/receive button to do the same thing? Can't find the answer in OE Help.Hardly the end of the world, but I'd like to keep things as simple as possible for the 2nd user!

My wife's laptop runs Vista Home Premium. She uses Windows Mail as her email client. If she composes an email in the normal way - that is, by opening Windows Mail and then clicking on the Create Mail button, then an email window opens perfectly normally. But if I send her someone's email address within an email, and she clicks on the address within my email, the Create Mail Window opens - but it has no "Send" button!Has anyone else come across this weird problem? Better still, have you found out how to cure it?

Answer:Windows Mail - no "Send" button

If you go to start, Default programs and make Vista Mail your default mail client your problem should be solved.

It sounds like you managed to move or hide the Send button. This is usually a result of a botched attempt to customize the layout of the toolbars within the program.

It's easy enough to do since these menus can be clicked, right-clicked and dragged into oblivion when fiddling with the setup of just about any Microsoft product.

The quickest and easiest way to get it back is to click on the View menu and then select Toolbars.

In this menu, you just need to put a check next to Standard and this will display the normal set of buttons you would expect to see in the standard Outlook layout, including the Send button.

Hello all and thanks in advance,
I installed some Motorola drivers today for my cell phone, and then when I went into Start->All Programs I noticed the icons were a bit different:

It concerned me and thus I did a system restore. After doing the system restore, it hasn't changed, and in addition I got the following message:

I later found that the message was related to my sound card so I downloaded it's drivers from Creative's site and it seems to be ok.
However, the icons are still "weird", and I also noticed that the Recycle Bin is different:

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Actually might as well get the whole ball of wax.
I already have right click send to notepad as well as other for mos thing but apparently the shell used for dealing with selected text is "somewhere else".
I found a walk-through but it only deals with a single aspect and I would like to add everything possible while i am there.
right click send selected text to > Notepad (of course) but also send to: clipboard and even send to : email.
The send to email option is one I have even built a full ipm.note string so that it does everything but hit send And I am working on adding that too. Anyone have any pointers for that let me know!

So in theory, i should be able to select some text from a webpage or document, right click and choose send to "self" and it would drop the text into a pre-addressed email and send it out using outlook to .. In this case it is for my own benefit so the ipm.note sends to me with a subject line pre-filled, and if this works, the body will be the selected text (easier than an attachment)
Send to Notepad has tons of uses.
Send to clip would let me paste it to the places I don't want to pre-configure
putting all this into a single registry add on would be super!
the How-to-manually do it starter is at

When I got BellSouth DSL years ago I had Outlook email account set up with BellSouth as outgoing and old domain as incoming so I could keep my email address from another domain. It worked fine until a year or so ago I had to add another account just for BellSouth and that worked fine.

Within last few weeks emails from my email address (old domain) would not send. I've been through it with ATT tech several times to no avail.

It seems that ATT has trapped me out and does not want me to be able to keep my old email.

There's bound to be a way to set up my email accounts so my outgoing email from my other ISP provider will send through BellSouth without changing my very old and reliable email address.

Also, I recently have acquired my own domain name and I fear emails from that email address will suffer the same fate.

I hope this is not too long, but PLEASE HELP if you can.

Answer:Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

If your BellSouth e-mail service is provided by Yahoo, then you probably need to go through a registration and authentication process for each e-mail address you want to send through a non BellSouth/Yahoo mail server. At least that is what I had to go through as an SBC/ATT DSL customer. They claim that they do the blocking to prevent from originating from users within their network.

Hi, firstly please bear with me as i'm new to this. I'm trying to setup the email on our virtual server through cpanal and using Thunderbird 3 (although i did try it with Outlook 2007 and the same results.)

Using the given Incoming and Outgoing mail server info given (mail.domain.co.uk) and the mail server username, I get a failed to find error (using both POP3 and IMAP). If I change that too the SSL settings for Incoming / Outgoing (serverusername.miniserver.com), it works and autofinds Connection Security as STARTTLS and finds the ports too. With this I can send emails fine, but I am not getting incoming emails, and I don't know enough about it too see what I'm doing incorrect, any help would be great, thanks.

I posted this on yahoo answers first, but the only response I got was "restart your outloook and try later." *facepalm* Glad to have found a place more dedicated to such problems.

I have a word document that includes a form the user must fill in. I want to create a button that will do all of the following:
1. Update all fields
2. Attach the updated word document to an email
3. Enter an address I have stored in the macro into the To field of the email.

I have one module which does the first part:

oStory.Fields.Update

End If
Next oStory
Set oStory = Nothing
End Sub

I found that if I add this to the before End Sub it attaches the updated Word document to an email:
Application.Options.SendMailAttach = True 'Or False
ActiveDocument.SendMail

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

So I tried another tact. I have the email address as a hyperlink in the document, and set a bookmark at the hyperlink. Then I created a module that will go to the bookmark and open the hyperlink. However, this will not add the document as an attachment:

Sub Open_Hyperlink()
Selection.GoTo What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="hyperlink"
With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.DefaultSorting = wdSortByName
.ShowHidden = False
End With

Selection.Range.Hyperlinks(1).Follow NewWindow:=False, AddHistory:=True

A couple of days ago my email was having trouble sending emails from a wireless location in town. I came home and found out that Microsoft automatic updates had downloaded about 13 new updates. No big deal.
Then, once I hooked up my DSL cable, the send/receive button appeared to not be working. Normally in Outlook 2003 when you hit the send/receive button it shows the progress in the bottom right hand corner. Now nothing happens. It doesn't show any progress and it won't receive emails. It did send one email today but yesterday it wouldn't do that. It's like the button just isn't working. Here's what I've tried so far:
1) System restore--5 times before getting it to work in safe mode on the 6th try.
2) Removing the button from the toolbar and then putting it back.
3) Updating Norton with the latest protection and ran a full system scan. Nothing but a bunch of cookies were detected.
4) I've checked my settings on gmail and everything looks normal.
5) I added the downloads from Microsoft again after running the system restore.
6) Changed the timeouts to the longest possible amount of time.
I have a dozen or so emails waiting on gmail that wont download and I don't know what to do next. I've searched everywhere for someone with a similar problem.

Answer:(Solved) Missing send button in Outlook

Ceceb
I not that familiar with outlook but two items need to be looked at.
1) If there is not an Email client set then the send button will not appear.
2) If your outlook is set to custom toolbar then set it back to standard.
a) Open Outlook
b) Right click on the gray toolbar
c) Select customize tab
d) Select the Toolbar tab
e) Highlight the "Standard" toolbar
f) Click on the RESET button

Let us know if that helps.

We are having some problems with email drafts that cannot be sent. In our case, I may have a reason but wanted another opinion.

When someone composes a new Outlook email message and they spend a long time writing the draft..Lets say 2 hours passes. When the user tries to send the message, the send button does not respond to mouse clicks. If you close the message without sending, it will give you an error (I do not remember what the error said).

We are guessing that it is because we lost connection to our Exchange server if only for a moment and than it orphaned the message. Before I take this as a final answer, I wanted to know if anyone else had seen this.

Also, is it common for Outlook and Exchange to lose connection every once in a while?

Thank you.

The send button is greyed out on Thunderbird for all accounts when I create a new email, or forward. Reply works fine. This was working just fine until 2 days ago, no apparent system changes (yes, I know that's usually a lie). Windows 7, sysinfo below. The spell check button is also greyed out when the send button is. The most recent symptom is Thunderbird going non-responsive at random times.

I've tried removing/reinstalling as well as renaming the various appdata thunderbird directories and then installing to create a new profile - same problem. This leads me to believe it's something somewhat subtle external to thunderbird, but nothing else seems broken. There are postings from a couple of years ago on various forums about one particular extension causing this - never used it.

Any diagnostic/solution ideas would be most appreciated.

I have been having problems with my Outlook.  I have a Suddenlink account that am trying to connect to via POP3.  The account setup works fine, the connection test out okay, and I can even receive my email, but when I open a new mail message there is no ?send? button in the menu or next to the address fields.  The root command of ctrl+enter will not work either which leads me to believe this is not a menu issue.  When I try to setup the account on work Outlook both the send and receive works fine which leads me to believe that Suddenlink is not the problem.   I have searched Microsoft help and the internet and tried a number of different things, but nothing seems to fix the problem.  Here is a list of things that haven?t worked:1.   Resetting the Toolbars2.   Reinstalling Outlook3.   Removing all the email accounts and redoing the setup4.   Going under ?more setting? and giving my SMTP authentication5.   Setting up a new profile

Outlook 2000 is currently missing the Send/Receive button. It is also not avaiable as a pull down under tools, and if I go to options/ customise it is also not available as a command under any of the toolbars, so I cannot add it!The strange thing is that if I run detect/repair. and also when I re-install Office 2000, as I open Outlook for the first time the button is there on a toolbar, but as othe bars load it suddenly disappears, as do all the other send/receive items mentioned above.Has it gone completely, and if so, why? I had to rebuild and reinstall my entire hard drive. Part of that process was reinstalling Outlook 2007 and bringing over my existing .pst file. I did all of that successfully and have it working. There is however one minor annoyance that I cannot seem to resolve no matter what I try. When I compose and email or reply to an email, the Send button is missing (left side of the tool bar). Have you "Tested" your accounts from the "Accounts" pane, when you were setting them up?

I think that you do NOT have the any settings in the "Outgoing" servers. I have see the missing "Send" icon, because there was NO accounts set up.

I am having a problem with Mozilla Thunderbird Version 15.0.1

My send and attachment buttons are gone. I have already checked everything under View, and yes, everything under Toolbars is selected. The buttons are not in the Customize.... selection either. They are just gone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that did not help.

I am attempting to fix this on a friend's computer, and may not always have access to it when (if) someone offers a suggestion, but I would really appreciate the help if possible.

Thank you.

Uh, oh, my session had timed out.   Anyway, I have Dell Dimension 4700.   This computer was formatted, by a computer tech, about two months ago, and Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition put in.   Before that I had Windows XP Professional.   And before that I had the Home Edition again.Anyway, the File, Send page or link by email would always work.  Say, I had Yahoo Mail in the Tools, Internet Options, Programs, Email Section, when I would go to File, Send page or link, it would always take me right to my Yahoo mail; or if I had Hot Mail in the Email section, it would take me to my Hot Mail. So, do not undersand why I get message boxes now.  Yesterday was the first time I had tried the File, Send, since Home Edition put in.Have to scoot to bed now, but will check sometime tomorrow to see if a reply.   Thank you for your feedback.

Answer:File, Send Page by Email, Link by Email

Hi Foxy.I tried to bring up your problem on my system but just couldn't.   Regardless of which mail program was shown in the E-mail section my system runs the default mail program. For example, if Yahoo is shown in the E-mail section and Thunderbird is the default mail program my system runs Thunderbird not Yahoo.Perhaps if you set Yahoo as the default mail program your problem will disappear.Which program generates the "message boxes" you refer to

Answer:Can malware send email from your internet email address?

Sounds like a spammer got your email address and is spoofing the return to or from address using yours instead. It could also be that someone is infected and their computer had you email address. Here's an example of headers shown in real emailReturn-Path: <[email protected]>Received: from inaamta17.mail.tds.net ([216.170.230.187]) by inmta16.mail.tds.net (InterMail vM.7.08.03.00 201-2186-126-20070710) with ESMTP id <[email protected]net> for <[email protected]>; Thu, 26 Feb 2009 07:51:51 -0600Received: from mta705.email.newegg.com ([38.119.56.165]) by inaamta17.mail.tds.net (InterMail vG.3.00.02.00 201-2196-120-20070322) with SMTP id <[email protected]egg.com> for <[email protected]>; Thu, 26 Feb 2009 07:51:51 -0600

Hello,I got a macro online for sending emails given a condition. It works great if you have 1-2 entries that require email sending based on the condition set. But when it sends up to 10 mails daily to the same person it becomes kind of annoying.I will post the macro I use below, but first I want to say what I would like to do and don't know exactly how (I am a beginner at VBA language):--> I want to modify the macro so that for multiple entries as per the condition, it sends only 1 email with all the entries specified in body. The columns are:A - name of the person to send email toB+C - email and CC emailD - condition, if yes send email, if no don'tE - company nameF - current no.G - sector to be auditedH/I - date to begin / end auditJ/K - days left until beginning / end of the auditL - audit done: if yes, column D becomes no and greenAnd here is the macro I use:Sub audit()
Dim OutApp As Object
Dim OutMail As Object
Dim cell As Range
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")

On Error GoTo cleanup
For Each cell In Columns("B").Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants)
If cell.Value Like "?*@?*.?*" And _
LCase(Cells(cell.Row, "D").Value) = "yes" Then
Set OutMail = OutApp.CreateItem(0)
On Error Resume Next
With OutMail
.To = cell.Value
.CC = Cells(cell.Row, "C").Value
.BCC =... Read more

Say I have 10 individual Email recipients that I often send the same Email to. I want to be able to bring all the addresses together into one Group, and send the Email addressed to say "Family" or "Social Team" etc.

Is there a way that I can lump all the common recipients together under one title?

Answer:How do I group common Email addresses together to send all the same Email?

Since your question is in the Windows Live section, I am assuming you are using the Windows Live Mail (POP Version). To add a group email do the following:

1. In Windows Live Mail, click the "contacts" button
2. Click "New"
3. Select "Category"
4. Name the Catergory (such as Family or whatever you want to call the group)
5. Check the email addresses of the list that pops up for those you want in the group.

Now, next time you want to send an email with this program, in the "to" field, simply type the name of the category you just created. All contacts you added to the group will now be sent the email you just wrote.

Send it to yourself with the other addresses entered into the Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc) field. To display this when you create a message in Outlook Express, View, All headers.

Hi,

I built an application a couple of years ago and the user has been able to bring up a report, choose Send page by email... and email the report to their own customers.

However, this week it stopped working. The report still displays on the page, but when he clicks Send page by email... it brings up an empty email. Well, not completely empty, there are around 4 or 5 lines of whitespaces.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hi I noticed on my brothers computer every now and then the above mentioned program pops up. It says its scanning email to a certain address on port 110, which turns out was some marketing company. Another time the address showed some random looking IP address, which was untraceable after a certain number of hops.

The only email client installed is outlook express, which is set to the comcast/adelphia account. I installed sygate to make sure nothing strange is going on, but this bothers me.

Answer:AVG Email Scanner - Says its scanning email I dont send

Sounds like the PC is infected with a spam bot. Some of those things are now rootkits that hide their files/services. Very nasty.

Hunt it down and destroy it the same way as viruses/trojans/spyware.

Hi all,

Recently, one of our workstation with Office 2003 installed began doing some crazy stuff. Here is a rundown:

The user is using Outlook 2003 as the email client.

Messages send and receive and compose normally...until...

User opens Excel or Word 2003 and chooses "File" > "Send to" > "Mail recipient (as attachment). When the use does this (to add the document to a new message)...

The email client will begin a new message, attach the file normally; however, the Send button is greyed out. The user then cancels the new message only to find that then the "New message" button is also greyed out.

The only way to revert things back to normal is to close Outlook 2003 and open it again. Once we do this, everything works normally until we try to create a new message with an attachment (externally) from a program such as Excel or Word.

What I've already tried:

Detect and repair did not work.
Changing the message formate (HTML, Word editor, plain text) did not work.

This problem has just started within the past month. It has been working fine. Nothing that we know of has changed to the workstation.

Please, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thank you.
