What is it with Toshiba? The part number is clearly printed on the label on the underside of the laptop but the corresponding part number appears nowhere on the Toshiba support pages. This seems to occur with most Toshiba laptops that I have ever had anything to do with. Trying to find drivers, BIOS etc is a real PITA. I'm trying to find downloads for a Satellite L500 PSLS6A-00X013 but it doesn't show up any where. The serial number search is as useless as the part number search. Am I missing something?
More repliesI recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
Yesterday i found the description about this notebook - Toshiba Satellite L500-17L but I cant find it on the toshiba's site. How can this be?
And there is a lot of information about this one on the web
Hi!
I have a little bit searched using Google and it seems that this is a Russian model so you can find the specifications on the Toshiba Russian page:
http://ru.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-L500-17L/1072548/
I hope I could help you a little bit. :)

Hi,
try as I might, I cannot find a link to drivers for client's machine. Suggestions welcome.
Roy
I have just replaced my hard drive and have installed Windows 7 Pro 32 bit on my L500 (PSLS6A-00X013),
I downloaded all the drivers from "My Toshiba.com.au" and everything went well until I tried to install the Realtek Lan driver and the VGA driver all the other drivers work fine but it won't accept these two drivers.
The L500 is an Intel i3 4 gig ram any help would be appreciated.
Collin
_Regarding the display driver:_
What driver did you choose?
On the Toshiba driver page you can find two different drivers (AMD/ATI and Intel) and a comment: +(For Supported Model Only)+
This means that you should check the GPU and should use the right driver.
Your notebook is equipped with Intel graphic chip. So DON?T install AMD/ATI driver!
_Regarding LAN driver:_
What?s the problem exactly? Do you get any error messages?
Can you please provide more details.
I have a laptop Toshiba L500-1UU Short model no: PSLS9E. Initially my product had a short model number in the Toshiba support page.
but I can not find now, removed from the list. Toshiba does not support this product?
Hi
What do you mean exactly by ?Toshiba does not support this product??
I found Toshiba drivers for this notebook model? so this means that Toshiba DOES support this model.
You can find the drivers on the Toshiba European driver page:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
Hello!
I have support problems with my notebook..
When I try to get support or register my Satellite, I can find my model number/serial number on any toshiba site.
When i try to valide serial number; i get this: "Spiacenti! Il numero di serie non esiste." Why???
I need drivers and software.. but i can't find it..
Model No: L500-158
Serial No: 89434057K
Part No: PSLJ3E-028023IT
Please help..
p.s. sorry for my bad English..
Hi
Are you using the Tempro tool in order to register the notebook?
If yes, then you should update this tool to the latest version v3.33
Check this:
+Why does TEMPRO not accept my serial number as being valid?+
http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ0102S40000R01.htm
Otherwise the L500-158 belongs to the PSLJ3E series and all drivers can be found on the Toshiba European driver page:

Hello everyone!
I have a Toshiba Satellite L300D-13X
But on the Toshiba support website, If I enter its serial nr then it doesent get recognised. If I insted use the little software that are suppose to identify you computer model, that too fails to recognise my model. And last I tried to manually enter my model. I choose Satellite, L300D and then the closest I can choose is L300D-13J, but mine is L300D-13X, Should I choose the L300D-13J anyway?
Anyone who recognise this problem, I would be most greatful
Best regards.
Hi Qwerty,
I don?t know what you did wrong but I can find your notebook model on the Toshiba website. As far as I know it belongs to the PSLC0E series so follow this:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Notebook > Satellite > Satellite L Series > Satellite L300D series > PSLC0E
Now you can choose the operating system that you have and download all updates! :)
Hiya,
I recently bought a Toshiba A300-16c but have been unable to find it on the Toshiba website.
I am trying to look to extend the 1 year warranty and there is an offer on at the moment to extend the Toshiba 1 year warranty on a variety of models but the A300-16c isnt listed and doesnt even exist on this website.
Can anyone help?
Hi
Satellite A300-16C seems to belongs to the PSAJ4E series?
It?s definitely a Toshiba European model and as far as I?m not mistaken this unit were delivered in Italy?
May I ask you how did you try to register the warranty???
In your case I would recommend visiting the Toshiba European support page:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com -> Support & Download -> Standard Warranty
Check it out!
Hi there,
I bought my laptop 3 weeks ago, model: Toshiba Satellite A500 PSAR9A- 02s001
I bought it in Australia but i cannot find any driver support on www.toshiba.com.au.
Any help?
Hi
This seems to be an Australian notebook series?
I?m not quite sure why it?s not listed on the Australian page but if you need the drivers then you can try to use the driver from the Toshiba European driver page as well?
There is an Satellite A500 PSAR9E series which is similar (or same???).
In my opinion the Win 7 drivers should work too.

Hi,
I cannot get my Toshiba Satellite L500 13T PSLJ3E to work. Here is the timeline:
1. I brought it with Win Vista, It worked great for about 6 months but started slowing down and I decided to change it to Windows 7
2. I installed the Windows 7 using custom install(creating new "windows" folder, not upgrading Vista). Once again it worked great for about a month, but once again it ran into trouble - showing the Windows 7 version of the blue screen of death for 0.5 seconds followed by a restart.
3. I browsed the net and they said that the easiest way to get rid of the problem is to re-install. I did it(after trying several windows repairs) but yes, thats right, it died - before starting the windows it showed problems with Realtek Wireless.
4. I had hopes that third time - the charm will work and re-re-installed the W7(every time using new installation).
Once more time - doesnt work, but this time I cannot even get to install it - the windows installer stops at around 60% of the expanding files and says: problems with the media device. And after the restart I cannot find the Hard Drive(the BIOS shows only FDD and CD/DVD)
Now I'm stuck here, the only way to start the windows is by Safe Mode on my Wondows installed on point 3, yet not every time .
Unfortunately the first of my Recovery DVDs cannot start and on top of that I cannot enter into the recovery partition by pressing 0 at start up, but I see the Recovery Partition when I go to the WIndows in... Read more
Blue screen and then restart sound's like something with hardware is wrong. I had something like that when my RAM module failed. Check your memory using memtest.
PS. I will not recommend installing windows on windows and reinstalling it. Better format drive and install new clean OS.
edit: or maybe something with your hard drive - if you had an option pull out you hard drive and check it on another computer using HDtune (or something like that)

I have this laptop with 3 Partitions
The main partition got corrupted and apparently wiped so all windows folders have been deleted and a low level format carried out
I still have the recovery sector
Just wondering how to reinstall it back onto the main partition
I tried F8 and it took me to a screen to choose language but after that it said "You must log in to access system recovery options"
I guess user data has been wiped from the main partition ?
Are there any other keys to press on startup to access the Recovery partition ?
Thanks
Hi, I bought Toshiba Satellite L500 -00W and it came with Windows Vista. I tried to downgrade to XP, but it doesn't allow XP installation. Do you know how to downgrade?
Thanks!
Hello & Welcome, toshibaquestion.
Downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP is actually a very easy thing to do, BUT, I must warn you; it's the smartest of ideas since Windows XP and Windows Vista differ in driver capability and efficiency. So when you want to you use your MIC or Webcam, they may not work, this goes for your Audio, Network and even Display.
Also, Toshiba's a popular brand, and also a very updated** one, meaning they'll most likely be packed with a webcam, nice wireless card, hi-def monitor, etc - meaning, lots more drivers for you to fuss about and have to replace - which, believe me, isn't fun at all.
Downgrading would require you to actually make a partition (D), then install XP on your partition (D), and then delete your previous partition (C) - This is how I would do it, but I'm sure there's many many many other ways.
Dabble into it abit, and see if you find anything interesting. I'll be here to answer any further questions you may have.

Hello!
I've bought Toshiba Satellite l500-1ef November, and until now laptop worked brilliant. Three-four weeks ago, touchpad, and some space on the left of the touchpad started to be warm. I checked CPU temperature in Toshiba PC Health Monitor (v 1.4.1.64), and it was circa 30%, with 40% use of the cooler. The temperature is incresing in time, and now, after four weeks, touchpad is warmer, and it's about 45-50% temperature od CPU, with 50-60% use of the cooler.
I'm using laptop only for Internet, work in MS Word, and listening music, sometimes I play Warcraft III on it, I've got Windows 7.
Should I go with PC to technical support, or it's normal in my model?
Best regards,
sebastian krysiak

Hi mate
It?s nothing unusual that the touchpad would be warm since the CPU and cooling modules are placed near the touchpad.
So in my opinion you should not be worried about that.
The notebook?s temperature can increase after some time of usage?
This happens due to dust inside the cooling ventilators?
If you want, you can try to remove the dust using the compressed air spray?
I do this from time to time and this helps to keep the temperature on lower level?

At the moment just newer notebook models are supported for Win10. I am pretty sure that Toshiba will increase the support list and more and more models will be supported.
3 more repliesI have an L500-113.
I am the Program Controller for an Internet radio station, and want to record audio streamed from our website. Regardless of the recording software, I can only record from the built in MIC, even though the stream is playing happily on my computer. No other recording devices are shown in Device Manager. Surely I can record from the built in Realtek soundcard?? I have installed the latest Realtek drivers/manager from Toshiba.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
hello,
basiclly, you mic is the only real recording hardware.
however, on a programming level, i think it should be pretty easy for you to record all audio running on the specific jack on the sound card. Just make a class that reads, selects and records on the jack you wish to record from.
cheers,
Phil
[edit]
thinking back over a couple of year, adobe audition used to be able to record from all audio jacks, maybe download the trial and see if it does the trick for you.

Hi,
My L500 fan is no longer working correctly
I am getting this message
Warning:a problem with the cooling system has been detected. please turn off the computer immediately, and return it for service.
The fan runs inconsistently (always for a few seconds on start-up, very sporadically the rest of the time, but it is completely stationary for the most part.
The computer is currently in pieces, and I am ready to replace the fan with a new one, however im not sure that will fix the problem (as the fan still seems to sometimes run).
Thread Name - 'My Toshiba Satellite l500 cooling fan has stopped working'
This closed thread had a post at the bottom by kristain, has anyone else encountered and resolved something along these lines
Please excuse the lack of link/PM (new member restrictions)
Are you going to replace the fan or the entire cooling heatsink and fan? Was the heatsink clogged with dust? Keep in mind, this also may be a motherboard issue
No disply on my toshiba satellite L500,power supply led is getting on .
If you still get lights on the edge of the laptop & you can hear the fan spinning and harddisk clicking a bit but nothing at all is appearing on the display then it's either the screen or the power inverter that have gone. Either way it's not really something you can do yourself, take it to a technician to sort out. If you are not getting any lights, fan or clicking sound then it is a power issue - the LED doesn't necessarily mean that the power supply is ok. Again, not much you can do yourself, take it to an expert."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Pink Floyd

1 more repliesThe HDMI port on my Satellite L500 laptop is not sending information to my sony bravia tv. All was working fine up until a couple of days ago. When i plug the hdmi lead into the port, it seems as if the laptop is aware it's plugged in as the screen flickers. The fn +F5 keys do as they should, but no picture appears on the tv. The tv shows a lead is plugged in also and again the screen flicks to say a source is there but then remains black. I can't see an issue in device manager and all drivers are saying they're up to date. I have also tried a new hdmi lead but nothing. Can anyone help with this?
Try running a System Restore back to a previous point when it was working.
If still not working uninstall and re-install the graphics drivers from the Toshiba Support site for your model.
Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite L500-13C with a motherboard totally damaged, and despite it is an old PC, I need it for the University. So I want only to know what is the serial number of this motherboard (if it exists), or the Motherboard model that are compatible with my pc, in order to buy it on Internet, because in the shops the cost are really excessive. O/S : Windows 7Model : Toshiba satellite L500 PSLS3A-04M002Battery model NO : PA3534U-1BRS
It died a few days ago and refuses to boot, press the power button -> power LED glows briefly and goes out.
As it's a smart battery you can't boot directly off the AC adaptor because it's expecting a signal over the SMBus (IIRC) power LED doesn't even light up with A/C only with the battery is removed.
I believe it's the battery.
First because i disassembled the laptop, cleaned it, and put it back together, nothing seemed wrong with other system components.
Second, it's only a small 3620mAh Li-ion that (AFAIK) hasn't been changed since the laptop was bought (roughly 2011/2012) so im thinking the charge cycles have been well and truly used up.
OK no problem, searched around online using the battery model number (above), found a replacement
Cool, battery's enroute, should be here in the next few days.

For a start, turn off CAPS LOCK - it's considered to be shouting & many will ignore you.Did the laptop come with Windows 7 or have you installed it later? Are you sure there are drivers available for the wireless card - check the manufacturer's website if necessary. Some Toshiba laptops have a separate wireless switch on the front edge - if it's there make sure it is in the 'on' position. The usual key combination, as far as I recall, is Fn and F8 pressed at the same time (not F8 on its own) - there should be an LED that lights up on the front edge of the laptop when the wireless adapter is on."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Purchased above and upgraded sucessfully to Windows 7 from XP.
However, the sound is very poor quality - sounds "tinny"
This is applicable to CDs, radio and DVDs particularly when listening to audio books and radio making it impossible to listen to. Have tried changing the settings for the Realtek High Def Speakers, but no difference. Then updated drivers. Windows test 'sounds' are okay and sound coming from both speakers.
I think I've tweaked every available setting I can find but can't find a tweak/setting to change the sound (less bass?). I have seen the volume control and it makes no difference.

i have a toshiba satellite and on the back it says the model name is satellite l500-1dt.
i am new to this website and using forums, the message that comes up on my computer is

Warning:a problem with the cooling system has been detected. please turn off the computer immediately, and return it for service.
i am currently working in the alps and do not have an english speaking computer shop near by.
could any one help me and advise me what to do, i do not know much about taking a laptop apart to clean or change parts.
I would purchase a can of compressed air or use an air compressor (with a light gentle nozzle) and blow the dust out of the inside. If you have a failed cooling fan, then it will need to be repaired or replaced. That model I think is rather old, it may not be worth it to repair.

Hello
To be honest I don?t know 100% what your problem is.
If you want to watch DVD movie on your computer using Toshiba DVD player but the pic should be shown on the external display please do as follow:
When you have connected HDMI cable to external (other) screen, use FN+F5 and switch to this external display only. When you see desktop on the external display start Toshiba DVD player and I think everything should be OK.
Hi. New user to the forum and new owner of a Toshiba.
I am trying to create the 4 recovery discs for my Toshiba satellite L500-12E. Discs 1, 2 & 4 created successfully, but disc 3 failed two times. The message I received onscreen was: Failed to read the following file: F:backslash ZZImg backslash 09753xsp6.swm Error Code: 020150-20-00000000
( I cannot get the computer to type a backslash on this window)
Anyone know of a similar problem or a solution?
Dwight
Hi Dwight,
Which disks you are using for creating Toshiba recovery disk?
I have good experience with Verbatim DVD-R. Have you tested these disks?
I have been searching a lot for drivers, but I cannot find driver for: ACPI\TOS1900\2&DABA3FF&2
I have Windows 7 and in Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers, the laptop has exclamation mark. Another problem I have is that the function button F8 does not work.
Please help me to find solutions.
Hello
I have a little bit searched using Google and this could be the card reader of your notebook. All drivers you can download here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Function button F8 means that key combination of FN+F8 doesn?t work, right? Well, for all FN keys you have to install Toshiba Value Added Package and Flash cards Support Utility. Both tools can be downloaded on Toshiba page too.
Check this!!!
hi
i want to download all the supporting drivers for Satellite L500-21T laptop.
i tried to find this model on toshiba website but i didnt find.
so can you suggest where i would find all these drivers.
if possible please reply me at my emial id - [email protected]
i will be grateful to you.
thanks,
I presume you know where you can find drivers but here is the link - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
When you search drivers for your notebook you must choose right part number and your notebook has part number PSLJHE.
Please check it again.
If you still have problems to find the drivers, let me know.
My L500 wants me to update my CD creator and when I do the computer tells me that it can only be done on 64 bit OS.
Which it should be preinstalled from Toshiba.
Sattelite L500 PSLS3E-01T00VN5)
Hi cba1,
Is this update necessary or can you ignore this update message?
In my opinion updates only necessary if something doesn?t work properly?
I don?t use Toshiba CD creator because there are some good alternative (freeware) programs, like CD Burner XP. Have you ever heard of that?
If not it?s worth a try!!! ;)
I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 PSLS0A-019002 with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed that I received two months ago as a gift.
Apart from disliking some the quirky and useless (to me) Windows Vista / 7 features, as the desktop is loading I get the error message "Toshiba Service Station has stopped working" which proceeds to find a solution, but apparently never finds one because this condition repeats itself every time I boot.
On another thread in these Toshiba forums, someone suggested downloading the independent utility called Toshiba Service Station and reinstalling it. I do not see such utility listed on the downloads page for my Toshiba model. Since I don't even know what the Toshiba Service Station does (unless it goes by another name - Toshiba Bulletin Board perhaps?), I have no idea what is causing the error or how to correct it.
Does anyone have a more precise solution?
Hi,
Service Station is not currently active in Australia, so you can simply uninstall it.
I have a new Satellite L500.
I have installed XP and i don't find display drivers.
Display is an ati mobility radeon hd 4500.
I only found drivers for vista.
Did someone find that xp drivers?
Hi
You are right. The Toshiba European driver page does not provide any Win XP drivers for this notebook yet.
But I think you should not worry? many notebooks are equipped with the same GPU chip.
I recommend checking the previous Toshiba notebooks series and trying to install such driver.
In worst case you will have to google a little bit for a Win XP ATI mobility Radeon HD 4500 driver.
If you will find such driver then you could install it in device manger using the Advanced installation procedure. This will help you to point to the driver files which you have downloaded and stored on the HDD. This installation works nearly everytime?
Hi.
I just bought Satellite L500 PSLJ3E notebook and i want to use it at work.
So i need to downgrade to XP PRO but i cant find XP drivers for this notebook.
Where can i find it?
Thanks
Hi
The Win XP drivers for this notebook model are not released.
It?s a new model on the market and only vista drivers are available.
But of course you could install the Windows XP.
Many Toshiba notebooks are equipped with the same devices? therefore another Win XO drivers should run in different notebook models?
You will have to collect the drivers at your own hand? this is not comfortable but I?m sure you could use the notebook with Win XP
Just reformatted laptop, went from windows 7 64 Bit to windows 7 32 bit. Reformatted with the disk which came with the laptop. I have no sound at all, the sound was working perfectly before and it keeps saying i have no sound card. I tried to install the sound drivers but i can't find the right ones on the site with my model.
I have a Satelite L500-1DT with PSLSOE model.
Tried to install the drivers available and i just get an application error once its installing
any idea how to fix or where to find the right drivers?
Thanks
Hi buddy,
To be honest I don?t know what problems you have with the sound driver but that?s the correct place for all drivers:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Notebook > Satellite > Satellite L Series > Satellite L500 > PSLS0E
But before you install the latest version, remove the current version firstly and clean the registry using CCleaner
Check this!!!
To me are necessary the driver for L500-1en. On a site has not found. If it is fashionable to use the driver from other model write from what.
To me are necessary the driver on Windows XP, Windows 7.
Hello
I have a little bit searched on the Toshiba website and it seems that your model belongs to the PSLJTE series and therefore you can download all drivers for XP and Windows 7 here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Notebook > Satellite > Satellite L Series > Satellite L500 > PSLJTE

Or
Any Can It Be Possible To Downgrade This Notebook To *Windows XP Pro* ? and Where Can I Found Drivers For This ?
I Will Be Thank Full if Any Body Help Me Regurding My Questions.
Thanks,
I?m really wondering you cannot find the drivers alone.
WXP and Win7 drivers you can find on Toshiba support and download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Download
Your notebook belongs to PSLJTE group so be sure you choose the right notebook model and right short model number.
No this model on toshiba site at all and all that I need is to find drivers for Windows XP for this model. Yes L500-1WR comes with preinstalled Windows 7 but I cant find drivers even for Windows 7!
Can anyone give me link to XP drivers?
Hi,
Google says that L500-1WR belongs to PSLS9E series. Go to the [European Toshiba Driver Page|http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp] and check for your laptop drivers:

During startup of my Satellite L500, a message comes up stating - unable to find compatible srs audio device. This only happened when I upgraded to windows 7.
Can anyone advise how to fix this problem?
Hi
I have Satellite L500 too but I couldn?t notice this problem. SRS audio device this has something to do with sound driver I think.
What do you think about updating this driver? You can get it here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Before you install the newest version I would recommend removing the old one first. Make a restart and install the latest one.
Hello.
I have found and installed all drivers I need for this laptop using Windows XP. My problem is that I can only activate Wireless on this laptop by pushin FN+F8 key, I have installed the Realtek Wireless drivers and they are installed fine, but I can't get Wireless to work because of the FN keys. When I push the FN+F8 key, a blue led should turn on next to the volume controller, but it doesn't...
I've searched for the Hotkey Utility in the Toshiba India site, I downloaded and tryed it but I get the error "This software utility does not support this system", the Common Modules gives me the same error too.
I've tryed installing other Hotkey Utility driver for another laptop, and it doesn't give me that error, but it doesn't work either... I actually leaves my laptop freezing a second, every 5 seconds... and the FN keys still don't work.
Anyone know where I can find a working Hotkey Utility for my laptop using XP?
Or maybe is there a way to activate Wireless without the FN keys? I don't need the other keys... I just want a way to activate Wireless.
Thanks for your time
Hello
That?s very strange buddy because the point is that XP is the past and newer notebooks doesn?t support this OS.
What you can do is to download the utilities for another Satellite L notebook, e. g. Satellite L300. This supports Windows XP and maybe the tools from that notebook are working on yours.
Check this!!
In worst case you have to live with this issue or you upgrade to Windows Vista. That?s all what you can do.
Greets
This TBS advises updates to PC health monitor and HDD/SDD alert.
HDD/SDD alert has a published update in the relevant downloads section but I cannot find an update for PC health monitor.
Any one got any bright ideas ?
Otherwise this seems quite a balanced system.
> HDD/SDD alert has a published update in the relevant downloads section but I cannot find an update for PC health monitor
If you couldn't find it on driver page, it means isn't available yet. I don't know why you were asked to update it but if PC health monitor runs well don't need to update. I don't think you will find something more in new version :)
Help??
Although my registration was accepted by Toshiba (for cash redemption) I cannot find any operating manual or details on Toshiba website.
Can anyone please help with operating instructions
Caz
Hi
It seems to be a Satellite notebook which belongs to Toshiba Australian!
All details should be posted on Toshiba Australian page:
http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/home
There are different L500/xxx models? if you would not find your unit then this would mean that the information has not been published yet?

What's wrong with this site ? Toshiba Drivers: Toshiba Satellite C660 Windows 7 64Bit Drivers
In the support area of the Toshiba site under downloads, I select +notebooks+ from the drop down, then +qosmio, G50, 04j+ then I get a blank when entering my serial.
I realise that this model has been removed from sale, though I had hoped that it would still be supported....
Can anyone help?
Hi
On which Toshiba website you are searching for drivers/downloads and what are you searching exactly for your notebook?
Furthermore it makes no difference if the notebook will be sale or not. Older notebook models can be founded in Archive.
Hello
I have offer to buy toshiba portage z30t-b-11p but I cant find this model on toshiba webside.I pound this laptop using serial number and this mode exist but cant check specyfication anyone can help me please
Hello,
I have a laptop TOSHIBA SATELLITE M70-169
I wanted to upgrade my drivers, so I connected myself on the TOSHIBA site.
The problem is that my laptop is not referenced on the site, there are well *M70-168* and *M70-170* but not *M70-169*
I tried the reconnaissance by serial number, result: NOT RECOGNIZED
I tested the autod?tection, and there too, the result was: NOT RECOGNIZED.
I am astonished that my laptop is not recognized on the official site of TOSHIBA, whereas I had bought it in a store.
Somebody can tell me if he had the same problem, and give me the indications in order to upgrade my laptop?
Thank you
Satellite M70 is pretty old notebook model and I can imagine that auto detection tool doesn?t work properly. Your notebook is European model and has part number PSM70E (very important for search).
Anyway you can find all drivers or updates manually. Please do it as follow:
Visit Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
Choose follow options:
Product type - ARCHIVE
Family - SATELLITE
Product series - SATELLITE M SERIES
Model - SATELLITE M70 (PSM70)
Short Model No - PSM70E
Operating system - your OS
And all available stuff will be listed there.
If you have more questions let us know.
Toshiba laid out on the site archive *vap-20091027105222.zip*, which contains the *corrupted* file!
HERE is the link.
It is packed with file *TC20043100A.exe* (if there is an error decompressing checksum CRC). Windows 7 also can not run TC20043100A.exe so I can not install *Value Added Package*
Lay, please file a *corrected* !
Hi
Are you sure that the file is corrupted?
I have even downloaded the file and I didn?t get any CRC error. It was successful to unzip the file so I can?t notice any problem.
In my opinion you should try it again. Maybe the download wasn?t successful.
Good luck! :)
Recently purchased a Satellite P300-1A8, but Toshiba site cannot find anything about it !! Its one with Harman / Kardon speakers.
Model Number - Satellite P300-1A8 PSPCOE-01H008EN
T5550 / 1024 / 1024 / 160G54 / 17W + BT / DS2 / L / M / W
Where can I find either the manual or some details about it ?
It runs PclinuxOS really well and found all the drivers on install.
heers,
Lawson.
Hi mate
As you already mentioned in the message the Satellite P300 belongs to the *PSPC0E* series.
You can find all drivers on the Toshiba European driver page:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com -> Support & Downloads -> Download Drivers
User manual can be downloaded here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com -> Support & Downloads -> Toshiba User Manual
Bye
I downloaded the following drivers (for my Notebook; Satellite A10-163 Model number : PSAA9E)
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-8021101
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-8021102
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-9024
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-9025
I unzipped each of these and can only find a PROUnstl.exe file, which un-installs any existing drivers; I cannot find a "Setup.exe" or anything that sets up either of my wired or wireless networking cards. I am using Windows XP Home edition.
Is there anywhere I can get a driver that has an easier to use "install.exe" file in it?
Is there anyone that can help me over-come this problem?
Hi
First of all, all drivers which are available on the Toshiba driver page should works properly. I?m 100% sure about this. If you don?t find any setup.exe or install.exe in the driver folder so you have to use another driver installation procedure.
Go to the device manager, choose the LAN card and install the driver. Please choose the driver form the driver download place.
Hi,
In Israel we have this model:
Toshiba Satellite Pro L100-124 PSLA1E-00500DG3
I've tried to search for it in computers.
toshiba-europe.com, but didn't find anything?!?
Why? is it a Fake?
Hi
Maybe you know it or not but Toshiba delivers many notebooks from the same series but the notebook are not very different. The sub models are possibly different in the hardware configuration. You know; different HDD sizes, CPU speed, etc?
I have googeld a little bit for this numer and I found the notebook on a Toshiba Poland site. It?s a polish language:
http://ce.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/productPage.do?LNG=20&service=CE&PRODUCT_ID=114411 &tab=3
However, you can check the Toshiba Europe site and you will find the different notebook and also the Satellite Pro L100 series:

Hello,
i have Toshiba Satellite A200-1GM (PSAECE-02C00DPL) serial no. 97303299K.

My problem is, when i try enter my notebook model in Toshiba driver search, there is no matches... for any windows.
Just simple Toshiba deasn't recognise my notebook model...
Can someone help me...
It's radiculous...
Best regards...
Your files aren't stored in the main Toshiba files, which probably means Toshiba no longer supports your model. But they are still stored in the listed archives. This is all the files I could find for your device Windows 7 32bit

Hey,
My Toshiba Satellite U500 - 1DR series notebook (Serial no . 1A058758R) is not detected by the TOSHIBA online autodetect system. When try to get notebook detected manually on the website, I fingd that the model (Satellite U500- 1DR) is listed neither in the list of available models nor in that of discontinued models. I am unable to download appropriate softwares/updates from the website.
Hello
If autoetection doesn?t work you can find it manually but not using model name but model part number. Your U500-1DR has part number PSU9ME-xxxxx so please check Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and check for Satellite U500 with part number or short model number PSU9ME.
Can you find it?
Hi
I believe i need to update video drivers on my Toshiba laptop (it's a Satellite A660, but I don't think that's relevant).
I have tried to use the downloads page on the Toshiba website: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download. It gives me no response, no list of products, nothing, whether I try to use the drop-down lists or enter my laptop's part number directly.
And it does the same using another laptop too.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there another way to get to product downloads?
thanks,
Simon.
Hi
What Satellite A660-xxx do you have exactly?
Drivers for all Toshiba European notebook models can be downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com -> Support & Downloads -> Download Drivers
I had to replace the hard disk drive in my notebook (Toshiba Satellite L50-C-,19P) windows 10. So when I try to put Windows back on my notebook it can't find the new hard drive. It says I need drivers for my hard disk drive. I can't find any on the Toshiba website and on other sites the ones don't work. Does anyone know where I could get the right drivers for my hard disk drive Toshiba MQ01ABD100?
If not, is it possible to buy another hard disk drive for which I can get some drivers? What kind of hdd could I use instead?
I just bought a Satellite U400D-200, why isn't the model on the website?
What do you mean with ?not on the website??
The Satellite U400D-200 belongs to the PSU48 series and this series can be found on the Toshiba driver page for example.
There you can find the drivers?
What info's do you need?
My Granddaughter Toshiba Satellite can't find a WiFi net yet mine can connect quite easily. I click on the WiFi icon and it comes up "No WiFi available"
More repliesHello everybody.
I've got an old fashioned 480 CDT here, used, but still works fine. Runs Win98 fine so far.
The Problem: The machine urgently needs re-installation, but I've got no disks for the Toshiba specific tools (i.e. HWSETUP etc.) which came originally with the laptop. (But a Win98 CD I do have!) Seems that they've been lost along its long way.
I didn't find a possibility to download these tools from the Toshiba support pages. Maybe I'm too blind so somebody can give me a link where to download the Toshiba Tools?
Where can I find these tools? (I did find the Archive section, but there these tools aren't listed :-(
Thanks in advance.
Martin.
Hi,
I looked on the toshiba sites after your problem and you could go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
in the menu Support & Download - Driver Download you could find a site to download drivers.
In the first drop down menu you have to choose ARCHIVE there is your laptop.
But there is only the Advanced Power Mode for W98 and BIOS update downloadable
it seems that the Satellite Pro 480 was only delievered with Win95.
It'll hope this will help you

Hi everybody
I bought a laptop TOSHIBA Sattellite from a supermarket, but when I wanted to download the drivers from TOSHIBA official site, I did not find my pc in the list of drivers or in any page of the site, even with the automatic detection, knowing that reference of the laptop is TOSHIBA Satellite C55-A-19K.
Now I want to know is that normal, or am I a victim of an imitation product.
As I can see this notebook model was delivered without preinstalled operating system so I presume you want to find drivers, tools and utilities on Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Your notebook model is listed there but you must watch which criteria you must choose. As you can see you cannot search for C55-A-19K but for Satellite C55-A with part number PSCG8E.
Please check it again.
Odd issue. Toshiba website doesn't recognize my serial number. Has anyone encounted that? I assume alpha characters are upper case. Serial number is 9 characters long with alpha characters at either end of string.
Bizarre.
Has anyone had problems registering their laptops?
Wait a moment my friend. On which Toshiba website you try to do this? I hope you do not try to register non-European notebook model on European support page.
Am I right or you really try to do this? As far as I know you have an US notebook model.
Hi guys
I have just removed Windows Vista from my Satellite P300 and installed a retail version of Windows 7 32 bit.
My question is now I have lost the Toshiba software on my laptop like the cd writer software and the web cam software and the toshiba Tempro, so just what do I need to download to get all the toshiba software that was on the computer before. Do I need the tempro software?
Hopw someone can give me some advice please
Hi sam2149,
It?s no problem to get the Toshiba tools again. You don?t need TEMPRO to download all tools, just visit the Toshiba website and download all drivers and tools that you want:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
All available downloads for your model can be found here.
I have a problem with my harddisc of my toshiba 1620.
I want it to be replaced but when i unscrew the back cover of the laptop there is no way i can remove the cover.
Can someone tell me how to access the HD ?
With all the best regards.
Hi,
I think that the HDD at the Sat 1620 is inside under the keyboard. It is very difficult to remove and change it for an enduser, please contact one of the Toshiba Service Partner!

I have get a Toshiba laptop, it is an old laptop, but I like it.
S1700-500 said the mark on the bottom of the notebook.
Model no.: ps170e-000ux-g3
It has a celeron CPU at 700MHz, 64+64M SD RAM and so on.
I have 3 question, if there is anybody can answer me!
1. Where can I find the service site for this notebook?
2. One memory module can be removed, how much memory can I place there? (If I buy a 512M notebook SDRAM, will it work whith it?)
3. It has a Ni-Mh Battery pack, DC9.6V and 4500mAh, it is an old one, and can not work with it for a minute... Can I replace it? Whitch models can I use? Has it any LiIon battery pack? In Hungary, where can I buy a battery pack for it?
Hi,

This Notebook runs with 192 Mb Memory max.
The Order Codes for the memory are :
128MB is PA3005U

Hi,
I cannot find the Windows 10 product Key on my Toshiba Notebook. Where is the sticker? On my notebook or elsewhere? Thank you for your answers in advance
Windows 8 PCs now embed their product keys in the BIOS.
In the past, a new Windows PC would display its product key on a sticker, usually on the side of a desktop and on the base or the bottom of the battery compartment on a laptop. But with Windows 8, Microsoft has switched gears and now stores and encrypts the key in the BIOS instead.
Guess its the same for Win 10.
I've seen an HP laptop running Win 10 that doesn't have said sticker either.
Settings /Update & Security/Activation to display key onscreen.
I recently bought a new Toshiba Satellite C850D-10H (model number: PSC9UE-005005PL) and installed Win 7 86x Ultimate, but i am having a problem with USB 3.0 drivers, i can't find anyone working.
I searched everywhere, downloaded some, but non worked. Also i cant find any drivers at the official page of this laptop in Toshiba site.
Can someone give me a hand? Any site or source i can downloaded drivers for this laptop?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.
Ok, i found them after all, downloaded the AMD catalyst manager and installed them through there and it worked.
2 more repliesHello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5002. Yesterday when I attempted to start my laptop I received this error message: windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system
And something about pressing "r" from the recovery disk. Well, I booted from the only disk I received when I purchased the computer and there is no option for repair. The only options available are to return the laptop to "out of box" condition, or to erase the hard drive. In addition, every search I've done on this error message references a recovery console, yet I cannot seem to find one.
I have several very important documents that I did not back up. Also, this happened after I shut the laptop down and put it in my laptop backback (in a nylon zipped pocket) and wonder if it could have overheated? I'm dreading the possibility that my documents cannot be retrieved.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Specifically I need to know if and how I can get to the recovery console (I've tried F8 to no avail).
Please help...
Thanks
Hi, and welcome to TSF!
You need to borrow a Windows CD because the Toshiba recovery disk does not have the recovery console on it. This will allow you to run the recovery console.
Moved you to Microsoft support/Windows XP

Please I have some problems with my Satellite A50-109, I formated it and I cant found ethernal driver from toshiba site. The second problem I have with it again, it hang ever 5munite from the day i formated it.
Please I need help to solve it.thks
Hi Newton_1,
It?s nice that you have founded this forum and post here a little bit but some important informations are missing.
Which OS you have?
How did you reinstall Windows (Microsoft or Toshiba disk)?
Furthermore it would be interesting to know what you mean with Ethernal driver. Do you mean Ethernet driver?
Normally if you reinstall Windows by using Toshiba recovery disk you don?t need a special driver. Everything is preinstalled on your computer.
Hello,
I turned on my laptop running windows 8 and the backlight lit up but there was no display. I could hear it turning on and the indicator light came on. When connected to an external monitor, the display was just fine. I did some research, opened it up and disconnected and reconnected a few things (which I do often) and closed it back up. When I tried to turn it on this morning it was unresponsive. When connected to the ac adapter the charging light will turn on but the power button does not turn the laptop on. I desperately need this laptop for school, it's beyond it's warranty and I don't have the money to get it serviced. If I can find the source of the problem I'm open to replacing said part as long as it's not more expensive than sending it out to Toshiba.
I've since taken the entire thing apart. The only things connected are the motherboard and CPU, both of which I've taken out and cleaned (fan was gross but I digress). I'm handy enough to be able to put it back together correctly and I know the basic parts, but I was hoping that someone could walk me though some troubleshooting as I put it back together. Or if that's not how it's done, maybe someone can help me take it apart in the right order to isolate the problem part once I get it back together.
I have high hopes that it can work again (as it was powering up just fine a couple days ago with the exception if the display problem) I'm just not sure how to ... Read more

The question is what you want to do exactly.
All info you need you get it on the Toshiba sticker at the bottom.
I can imagine you want to check download page. Your notebook model is listed there.
Go to Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and there you can find it.

Hi,
recently I had installed Windows 7 64Bit version and now I cannot find all the Toshiba Utilites that I had, when I bought the Laptop opererting with originaly Vista.
Please can someone help me.
Thanks In advance.
Hi
May I ask you why you are looking for this ?Toshiba Utilities??
Are some notebook features no available?
In my opinion you don?t need Toshiba Utilities if you are using Win 7.
I have installed Win 7 and everything what I needed, was the VAP (value added package).
This package contains some tools and utilities.
If you want to use FN keys, then you should install additionally Toshiba Flash Cards Utility? such utility is not released for all notebooks models? so try to install such tool released for example for; Toshiba Satellite L500
Hello all. I am very new here. By very new I mean this is my first time posting on a Tech forum. I very often search for answers and techspot.com appears a lot with solutions to practically every question I can think of.
Today I am stumped and running short on time.
My colleague from work, who is quite poor with computers and setting up and stuff, so I told him I would help him by removing Vista from his system and installing windows XP.
I know that this day and age I should be upgrading him to Windows 7, but I dont have that CD.
What I have done is this:
Installed a Windows XP Professional for a DELL onto his Toshiba Satellite A100-033.
I already knew (thanks to forums) that I would need to install the drivers for many of the devices after Windows XP installed. Oh I should mention, When installing XP I deleted the partition that originally hosted Vista, and formatted the drive to NTSF (forgive me if the arconym isnt exactly correct).
After installing XP, I searched Device Manager for the yellow ? marks. I currently have 7 yellows:
+ ? Other devices
- ? Ethernet Controller
- ? Ethernet Controller
- ? Mass Storage Controller
- ? PCI Device
- ? SM Bus Controller
- ? Video Controller
- ? Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
I have searched tirelessly for the drivers.
Toshiba website said thhis model is discontinued.
However, I thought I could find them somewhere else in the WWWeb.
Unfortunately I could not.
I found some unlicensed program which suppose... Read more
If the PC you are working on was bought with Vista pre-installed on, then installing XP should be ok as far as the hardware is concerned.
You can try a program to automatically do the searching for you, but it's not always 100% correct, and you may be left with a few to find.
This one seems to work fairly well;
http://www.driveridentifier.com/
You will need the product key that was supplied with the installation disc, to activate windows.
You should be able to get the Video card driver from either Nvidia or AMD (or SIS), from the information in 'Device manager'. the 'update driver' option can work, but sometimes has been known to download an old version of the driver.
I want to wipe my Satellite A210 clean, and do a fresh install of Windows7.
I found the Toshiba_Windows7_Drivers, but where do I find the installation-package of the software that was originally bundled on the laptop?
Thanks, Willem

My Toshiba T110 netbook came with Windows 7 home, 64bit preinstalled.
I have some critical applications which will only run under the 32bit version so I have to downgrade.
I have ordered a 500Gb hard disc to install the 32 bit version (keeping the original disc for returning to 64bit if required in the future, since no installation discs were supplied, just a recovery partition). My expected difficulty will be adding the Toshiba specific programs for activating eco mode, switching WiFi and bluetooth via function keys etc. and sleep & charge etc.
Are the installation files for these programs available somewhere? and if so in 32bit versions?
Hi

before buying it i searched on Toshiba Middle East and i found it, but now i don't find it, and cannot register it in Toshiba site ...
please Help Me....
Hey,
Why you can?t register your notebook now? Usually this can be done on this Toshiba support page:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/services_warranty_reg_map_eu/
Furthermore you can also register your notebook if you start TEMPRO. There is also an option to register your notebook.

Hello
I have Toshiba Satellite C650D notebook i want to know that when i go into recovery menue by pressing F8 i can not find the toshiba recovery option there as before the installation of windows.
The hidden recovery disk which is of 10GB still has the data of 10GB
How can i access this to recover my factoryt settings?
Can i rocover from hidden partition now or it is corrupted?
if corrupted how can i purchase online backup recovery from asia pacific region?
i found the link on the forum to purchase recovery disc but it is for euorope i want to find it in asia pacific region??
Hi
If you are not able to recover the notebook using the HDD recovery, then you will have to recover the notebook using Recovery disk.
It seems that you didn?t create the disk in the past? right? Well, this was not a good idea?
However, the Satellite C650 is European notebook series. Right?
In such case you will need the Recovery disk for the European series and this can be ordered here:

Dear Friends,
I have purchased a new model of Satellite (L755-M1E6) from Abu Dhabi.
But i could not see this particular model number in the UAE - Middle East website.
Normally we could see that the model number has the format - "L755 - 000".
that means after L755 - only three digits.
Here in my laptop it shows 4 digits, L755-M1E6.
support website shows model number as "PSK2YE-0E602UAR" as against serial number.
Can you please clear my doubt that, is it a original toshiba laptop? is it a discontinued model?
Or please help me to know its correct model number.
Please help me
Hi
I am pretty sure this is a real Toshiba!
The model seems not to be an EMEA model though so it could be that it originates from another region of Toshiba - like Toshiba Asia.
Use your model number, the coplete PSK2YE-number you mentioned below along with the real serial which always is 9 charachters long ending with a letter (syntax 12345678A, X1234567A, 1X234567A or XY123456A - please understand that those are examples showing the syntax only - your letters and digits will be different!) and look them up here:
Link: [https://onlineregistration.gedb.toshiba.com/GEDBPUBLIC/]
If you enter the proper information there you should be able to look up your PC.
Good luck
Tom
I want to run Toshiba Power Saver on my laptop.
I have a Toshiba Satellite --T2450-- A200, running windows XP and I really badly want to run the program.
I need massive help from anyone/everyone hehe.
I cannot find the program anywhere.
So could someone please find me a link that I can use to download it?
I would greatly appreciate this! Thank you!
On the Toshiba European driver page in ARCHIVE area you can find BIOS and Utilities for this oldie.
But unfortunately, there are NO XP drivers or any Utilities for this stone-age notebook.
Nothing to do buddy?.
When I purchased my Satellite Pro A120 it had on its keyboard a large circular red label - `Test it! Toshiba Easy Guard' and 'Toshiba Assist Button' but I cannot find the Toshiba Assist Button on my laptop.
Has anybody found how to access this?
Hi
Toshiba Easy Guard is not a single too but a collection of different notebook properties which secures your notebook.
Check this Toshiba page about easy guard:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/TOSHIBA_EASYGUARD_08/
The Toshiba Assist button would start the Toshiba Assist tool:
You can optimize the button in this way:
1. Launch the Toshiba Assist utility using one of the methods described above.
2. From the left hand side of the Toshiba Assist window, click the OPTIMIZE tab.
3. Within the Optimize window, click the TOSHIBA Button Controls icon.
4. Within the Toshiba Controls Properties window, ensure that TOSHIBA Assist is selected from within the drop-down menu list and then click OK.
5. Close the TOSHIBA Assist window.

Hi!
I have a problem to find a driver for the multimedia keys (6 easy keys) on my Satellite A100-979. I have Windows Vista 64-bit and this Notebook should be vista capable. Can somebody help me? Maybe you have an idea, to solve this problem.
>this Notebook should be vista capable
Of course it?s Vista capable. You have installed the Vista on the Satellite A100-979 and it runs.
You ask for drivers for Vista 64bit version? Well, unfortunately but there is nothing to do!
It should be common that Toshiba does not provide any 64bit drivers; neither for XP nor for Vista. :(
Best regards
