how to i escape this bluetooth hell? (Bluetooth Crackling issue)

Question: how to i escape this bluetooth hell? (Bluetooth Crackling issue)

well i decided to go full bluetooth because im tired of spending money on replacment headphones and broken tangled cables so i brought myself some Tone infinium HBS-900 bluetooth headphones. now on my phone that supports APT-X these things are amazing! but on my computer it seems that im plagued with interference and sound crackling. so i swapped out my realtek AC wireless wifi card and brought a intel 7260 Dualband +bluetooth 4.0
for a while it seemed to be working and now its again crackling and shuddering. its driving me nuts! then i brought THIS

so that i can make anything bluetooth just to my disappointment that i dont think these 2 thing scan connect to each other, i mean how would i connect to things that have no gui together? but someone said they have done it ant it works fine but i can for the life of me find out how to do it.
i have already trying updating the drivers on my computer and i ave the latest. but if i cover my bluetooth or even move 2 feet away from it it crackles and disconnects sometimes. it was not doing that at first and i only tested it with my pc but yea. i tried 4 phones and they are flawless, i could go outside of my apartment and i would be connected on all 4 phones but not on my pc.

Preferred Solution: how to i escape this bluetooth hell? (Bluetooth Crackling issue)

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I just reinstall a fresh update of my x61 tablet and have it in a docking station hooked to my 27" dell widescreen (woohoo! it's nice) I have a logitech mx5000 bluetooth keyboard and an mx laser mouse, both using the built in bluetooth, verus logitech bluetooth dongle/software...  (I didn't want to add a second bluetooth radio and more crappy software) it boots up fine, works great but when it goes to sleep and then comes back awake, the bluetooth is gone and no keyboard/mouse. I put back to sleep and wake a second time and it's all back to normal (slight delay in connecting) go to sleep the 3rd time, I lose bluetooth, 4th time, all is back to normal?!?!?!? I can repeatably get this to occur, every other time? ideas?

I have paired a Blackweb Blox bluetooth speaker with my notebook. I have updated the bluetooth driver. It does show the audio driver is not updated. However, the audio is going through the bluetooth speaker, and not the notebook. I am playing the audio through iTunes. When the speaker is used with my iphone, it is fine.  Any suggestions?

i upgraded from a reltek dualband wifi /bluetooth for the same issue of terrible bluetooth crackling.
and now my Intel dualband AC 7260 bluetooth is similar.
but what really bothers me is that at first as in likr the first week the bluetooth on my Intel dualband AC 7260 was amazing! working as its supposed to , i could go to the hallway of my house and be connected clear and no latency. but now a days its like before and sometimes worse. i have to be literally 1ft and sit at a angle for the bluetooth to be good. some days and places its good and others its terrible. it seems to be really bad at work( i starting to think its a interference issue. but even at home its semi bad, theres times where if i stand up and move away form the laptop my headset says out of range trying to connect, also sometimes if i cover a certain spot on my laptop it cuts off, same with my bluetooth speaker. and my devices are just fine because when i connect them to my phone they work perfect. also works well with my AUkey. i tried different drivers to no avail what can do?

Hi,

I bought a Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista, which did not have PowerPoint installed as I was anticipating, in the MS Office suite. Dell tech support responded by installing by remote control, the MS Office 'Blue Edition' but afterwards various Windows icons began to crash. I Googled on MS Office Blue Edition which revealed it was a pirate version (e.g. a forum here) even though Dell said it had installed it on many customers' PCs. So I uninstalled it and tried to do a Windows restore but the PC would not perform the Windows restore. I did a re-set to factory settings but then it would not initially recognise my modem. Eventually, after a series of re-sets, the PC connected to the internet.

A friend has warned me, the software may have corrupted my Registry. I downloaded a trial of Registry Mechanic which cited 144 problems, 13 of which the trial resolved but a long list of 'high priority' items remains. I am a bit wary, these Registry cleaners may panic you into assuming your Registry has serious problems, in order to buy their software. Anyway, I am wondering whether to buy one of these or put my foot down with Dell and insist the PC is replaced. Any thoughts?

There has also been a minor intermittent hardware problem: on putting the PC to sleep, it may not settle down with its blue light flashing (as it should), the PC becomes locked with no key able to make it do anything; I have to pull out the electric cable and re-start. If this is a c... Read more

Answer:Trying to escape 'Dell Hell': Windows Registry problem?

Do a full destructive recovery. (This will delete everything, including data.)
It reformats, recreates partitions then installs.

If not happy then, I would want a new puter.

Why do you need Powerpoint?
If it is just to look at files, MS has a free Powerpoint veiwer.

If you want a program, take a look at Open office Impress.

Because we've had the machine for 2 years, it's very difficult to find any information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated: I confirmed that we purchased a Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO with bluetooth -- but until now, we have not ever tried to use it. [We're running Windows 7 [64-bit] on it.] There is no Bluetooth Control Panel with which to add a device [in our case, a bluetooth mouse]. The only information I can find lists using the Fn+F5 key to access a window to enable it [yet, this was for a different model]. Using these keys doesn't bring up any such window. I would suppose adding a bluetooth mouse would be much less of an ordeal than this is becoming. I must be missing something. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Answer:Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO - Enabling Bluetooth and Adding Bluetooth Devices

Hi, musesupport

If you enter the BIOS of your machine by tapping Enter at the splash screen (screen that says Lenovo while starting up), there should be a tab called Security. Open this tab and then select I/O Port Access. Is there a Bluetooth setting in this list? If so, is it set to Enabled?

If the Bluetooth is set to Enabled, then I would recommend making sure all the drivers (Bluetooth, BIOS, and chipset, in particular) are up to date. All drivers for your machine can be found here.

Good luck, and let me know how it goes
Adam

Hello, through "Lenovo Update & Drivers" utility i installed ThinkPad update "THINKPAD Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II 6.2.1.3100" which is bluetooth solution by BROADCOM corp which has much better user interface and detailed settings than implemented Microsoft W7 bluetooth solution named "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator". The problem is that after installation of this update on my Windows 7 there is still functional this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator". I tried to disable it in "Device Manager" but after several restart of my computer nothing happened and this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator" is still active. It seems that this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator" came probably with some Windows actualization. The "THINKPAD Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II 6.2.1.3100" is installed on my computer successfuly - i can see it in Programs. Hello, I own two Thinkpad T61 laptops - one with an integrated bluetooth card and the other without. I swapped lcd panels in order to have bluetooth capabilities on the machine I use the most (which happened to be the one that did not come with integrated bluetooth ), but after swapping out the hardware the system will not recognize the bluetooth daughter card inside the newly-installed lcd assembly.  The two models in question are 7661-E17 and 7659-CTO.  The 7661-E17 is the machine that originally did not have a bluetooth card, and which now has the lcd panel from the 7659-CTO machine.  I figured replacing the lcd panels would be much easier then opening up the lcd asembly and installing a bluetooth daughter card - was I wrong?  Everything else works perfectly in both systems, so I'm confident I didn't damage anything while replacing the parts.  What could be causing the problem?  Could it be that the 7661-E17 simply does not support the Bluetooth card in the LCD from the 7659-CTO machine?  I looked on the lenovo website but coudln't find any definite answers.. Thank you in advance for any help!  I really want the 7661-E17 machine to have integrated bluetooth capabilities!  I'm running Vista in both machines, and had no problem using the bluetooth card when it was installed in the 7659-CTO.

The bluetooth device needs to be enabled via the Fn+F5 hotkey. Then you can install the bluetooth driver. Note: The ThinkVantage Power Manager must be installed in order to use Fn+F5 hotkey.

Hi all: I recently purchased a second-hand X61 Tablet. It shipped with Windows Vista and still has about 75 days left in the warranty.I installed Windows 7 Home Premium on it, but now I cannot connect to my Nokia cellphone. With Vista, I could connect to it very easily. But in Windows7, I go to "Add a device" and it just keep searching for a device without showing my cellphone. I have done extensive googling/binging and the following are the things I have tried: - Both Bluetooth services are up and running and set to automatic- My cellphone is set to bluetooth ON and radio discoverable- My cellphone can see the computer. But cannot pair with it.- I have installed various bluetooth stacks so now the 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device" driver not found error, is not an issue. I am at a wits end with this problem. I am actually debating going back to Vista.Anyone here who can help me with my misery?

Once the Hub is up and running you can pin it to the Start screen. In the Hub you can rename your BT devices as you please once you have connected them and the Hub recognises them.

also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.

Hello and, as always, thanks in advance for any help.  I've had a ThinkPad T430 23445GU for a couple of weeks now (my first) and so far am very happy with my purchase.  I'm running a clean install of Windows 7 and have most everything set up as I'd like.  My question:  does anyone know if it's possible--and if so how--to use the on board Bluetooth without installing Lenovo's 160MB "Bluetooth With Enhanced Data Rate Software"?  I'd only need the Bluetooth to run a mouse, or maybe connect a phone,  and thus see no reason for Lenovo's entire software suite.  Thanks again for any input.

I bought this computer about a year and a half ago. Specs are as follows

Asus M51BC

Windows 8 (upgraded to 8.1)

8 GB RAM

AMD FX 8300 processor

GTX 650 (upgraded to GTX 760)

1 TB HDD (added 128 GB SSD and 256 SSD)

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 as soon as I turned it on so I didn't get a chance to see if bluetooth was working with Windows 8. I tried to pair my phone but it didn't work. I looked all over the internet but nothing worked. One thing I did notice was that Windows 8.1 had quite a few problems with bluetooth. So after a week of trying to get it to work I gave up. Just got a Razor Orochi which is a bluetooth mouse so I started looking around for answers again. Tried MANY new things but still no answers so I went and bought a StarTech USB to Bluetooth version 4.0 adapter - 10m class 2. Broadcom makes this and tried theirs and StarTech's drivers. Both don't make a difference even after uninstalling/re-installing, and disabling/enabling. I've also tried creating a different user, re-installing from the recovery drive and a clean install, and way too many other things to list here. If anybody has any advice or tips other than "did you try un plugging it?" I'd be really grateful!!!!

Answer:Bluetooth toggle missing, onboard AND aftermarket bluetooth not working!!!!!

Hey thanks for the reply but I ended up solving it. Ya I had razor synapse installed and there was fully charged batteries in the mouse. I did yet another clean install but this time I completely deleted the system (efi) recovery partition. I had deleted the factory reset partitions when I switched to the ssd but was nervous about deleting that one. That's the only new thing that I hadn't tried on my many attempts to get Bluetooth to work. Hope this helps someone because in all of my research I never came across an answer that worked for me

Hey guys,

So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.

default (after startup): WiFi on / BT off
first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off

and repeat.

I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)

Windows 8 was able to install all my Function Keys so I'm going to assume this will be the case for others. Good luck

On the thinkpad, the bluetooth device is present and "working properly".  The wireless switch on the front of the machine is on (green light).  When I click on the bluetooth icon in control panel, the cellphone is not listed.  When I go through the menus on the cellphone, it tells me no bluetooth devices have been found, so it seems like the cellphone bluetooth is working.  It appears that the thinkpad bluetooth is not working; do I need a bluetooth adapter as well as my bluetooth device (RICOH OHCI Compliant IEEE1394 Host Controller)?  When I check the drivers, there are 2 - a windows one (1394bus.sys) and another (ohci1394.sys).  Is it possible that the former driver is being used when the correct one is the latter?  How would I make sure the correct driver is being used for this device?

I posted a message to ask that whether there is a method to enable the bluetooth module(made by broadcom) of s10-3t to work with bluetooth PAN. if it is possible, I can connect s10-3t to internet via a smartphone by bluetooth. I studied it, and  successed! The result is that: the Toshiba stack driver can enable the bluetooth PAN of s10-3t.

Hi
One of my friend in India purchased "HCL ME Sync 1.0 (U3) Tablet (WiFi, 3G via Dongle) by HCL" online . It says in many places that it supports Bluetooth but when I saw this I couldn't find any option for the bluetooth and don't know how to turn it on. Is there any one who has purchased it and help me out to turn the bluetooth on or how can we transfer files with some other bluetooth device. Even I couldn't find much good information on internet.

Answer:Hcl Me U3 tablet says file sharing with Bluetooth but don't know how to turn on the bluetooth ?

I don't see it listed in the spec sheet, nor the user guide.

On both of my android 4.2 devices, Bluetooth is listed after Wi-fi in Settings. I would think it's the same w/ android 4.1. It's possible the tablet doesn't have bluetooth.

I just set up win 8 on my computer and was going thru the process of connecting my bluetooth mouse and my bluetooth keyboard. My mouse connected automatically, no problems. When I went to connect my keyboard I got the usual prompt asking you to enter the code, but the code was not accepted no matter how many times I tried. I know for a fact that this keyboard works, because it works fine on my Win 7 OS on the same computer. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

My keyboard won't stay connected to the Bluetooth. Windows disabled the Bluetooth and gave this messge: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." What is this and how do I fix it? I can't get my Logitech K810 keybaord to stay connected. It pairs, and works for awhile, then disconnests, even though it says it is connected. Driver update says the drivers in place are the right ones. I've also tried Bluetooth dongles to connect with, but I get the same problem -- connects for a while and then disconnects.

My bluetooth functionality and even the icon disappeaered from my laptop.  The HP Service Assistant tried to do a network diagnostic and couldn't find a problem.  It said to go to the HP support site and load latest Bluetooth drivers.  The only drivers shown were for a Broadcom Bluetooth.  Not thinking I had a different Bluetoth system I downloaded and installed the Broadcom drivers.  Then I went to the device manager and saw that I did not have a Broadcom system, but an Intel system. (I should have done this earlier I know).  The device manager showed that the drivers were probably corrupted and it couldn't validate the digital signature for the drivers that were there. (Code 52) I revisited the device manager and looked at the properties tab of the drivers and the events tab under that.  It said there that Device USB/VID-8087&PID etc. needed further installation. Now I am confused and frustrated.  I don't want to try to instal this device if it is not the correct Intel device, but rather the Broadcom device. In other words, I don't want to screw things up even more. Can someone please tell me what to do?

Okay, so I don't really know if a solution is out there, but here is the situation I'm in. I only have one available USB port left which I am currently using for the Logitech Bluetooth dongle that came with my Logitech K750 solar keyboard. I would also like to attach my Samsung wep410 headset for Skype calls.

I have tried to discover the headset with and without Logitechs software installed with no luck. I then checked device manager, which does not show the dongle as a Bluetooth receiver/device. My assumption from that is that Logitech has it setup to only receive from their own devices.

Since I have no room for another dongle (and a hub isn't really ideal). Is there some way to force the dongle to detect normal Bluetooth devices? I've searched for a custom driver or other work around with no luck so far. This is on a computer running Windows 7 64bit.

I just recently got bluetooth headphones. I was wondering if I was able to plug in a usb bluetooth dongle into my xbox 360. So i could connect my headphones via bluetooth to the xbox and hear in game audio through the headphones. Would that work?

Answer:Can i plug in a bluetooth adapter to my 360 and then connect any bluetooth headset?

That won't work, the Xbox 360 don't have drivers for bluetooth devices (Impossible to install drivers) and that bluetooth dongle won't be recognize by the console.

Hello!

I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.

Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?

I have a W500 with Win 7 32 bit, 4058-CTO.  I use a Lenovo Bluetooth mouse that works good.  But I cannot see or connect with any other Bluetooth devices. This laptop first came with Vista and I could connect to our cell phones via Bluetooth for data transfer.   I upgraded to Windows 7 and had not tried to connect to a cell phone until recently. I have tried many things - updating drivers, etc.   I have "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" checked.  There are no errors.   When I click the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and select "Show Bluetooth Devices", I can never see anything. On my cell phone, when I try to pair it with the computer, it sees the computer, and asks for a passkey, but then times out. Does anyone have any ideas?

Answer:W500 cannot see any Bluetooth devices in Win 7, but Bluetooth mouse works

After trying many things in Windows 7, I decided to install Virtual XP Mode.  I had to enable the hardware virtualization in the BIOS to get XP Mode to work. After that, I was able to install the W500 Bluetooth drivers for XP in the Virtual XP machine.  The Bluetooth works perfectly with my cell phone.  So it seems that my hardware is OK.  I will keep trying to get Bluetooth to work in Windows 7 - maybe do a clean install in the future.  For now, XP Mode does the trick.

System Information: Asus Notebook UX303L, Windows 10, Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition

Okay, I've been working on this for awhile and have tried a million things. I'm going back to square one so pretend I haven't tried anything yet.

Here is the problem.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 (from windows 8.1) on a 2 month old laptop. On previous version there were NO problems with bluetooth. The problems started immediately after upgrade.

When the upgrade finished Windows 10 remembered all of my previous Bluetooth pairs. My bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition) worked before the installation but after my system reboot the cursor no longer showed movement. The batteries are new. The mouse is acting exactly like it does when it is properly connected (lights flash, makes scrolling sounds, etc). When I checked the Bluetooth device screen it still showed as paired. I rebooted. No change. So I unpaired the device. When I unpaired the device it flashed for a second as a possible device to pair with and then was no longer on the list. Other possible devices to pair with appear and disappear from the list without cause. (Ex. sees a scanner for a few seconds then no longer has a scanner. Sometimes its up for a few minutes at most but the list is constantly flickering.) So I rebooted. Then it did not see the mouse at all. I did this for several days. Sometimes when I would turn on my laptop it would flicker, sometimes it would not. After about 3 days with no ... Read more

Answer:Bluetooth does not Recognize/Pair/See Bluetooth Hardware

Probably Windows 10 replaced the original Bluetooth driver with Microsoft driver which doesn't work well, if at all. Go to manufacturer's site and download the Bluetooth driver. If there is no Windows 10 driver, use that of 8.1 This should fix your connectivity problems.

Hiya,

i have a satellite L300 1G8, had it for about 2 months. I am not very good on computers.

On the box it has a bluetooth symbol, but it isnt on my laptop, either that or i have not found it.
Looking on the toshiba site today i noticed that there was bluetooth and drivers on there to download.

I dont understand the jargon but some of you smart brainboxes must have downloaded bluetooth to your laptop and could guide me to what i need to do if that option is availaable to me.

Please help, i could really do with bluetooth as i am a ebay seller and its complicated to get photo's on it would be so much easier.

Thank you. Julia. :0

Answer:Satelllite L300-1G8 - Can I get Bluetooth / Bluetooth Download?

Are you using XP or Vista? Did you install Windows yourself or are you using the preinstalled/factory Windows installation?

Have you tried pressing Fn+F8 to enable Bluetooth?

The Bluetooth driver/stack can be found on the Toshiba Website in the Support/Downloads section. Select your L300 model in the list.

ps. I searched your model in google and viewed the specifications, it looks like that model doesn't have Bluetooth. So you may need to buy a USB Bluetooth Adapter.

After all of these years that I lost my Bluetooth after a Windows update, I tried a dongle purchased on Ebay from fabebuying for .99 USD. I received it last night and although I needed to restart my computer a couple of times, lose a USB port, and I have to be within a foot of the dongle, I have Bluetooth on my laptop back again. My phone and headset are hooked up to my laptop.
I believe the biggest culprit has been that my network card is Qualcomm Atheros Communications Inc. wireless and highspeed Bluetooth enabled. Over the years I've changed, updated, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, haunted youtube, MS, MS Central and spent countless hours (time is money and I've wasted much) et cetera trying to find a fix, all to no avail. I thought for a buck, I would try the dongle and it worked. (Excelvan USB Dongle) I think I will now look for a higher speed better dongle and see what I can find. I didn't want to change out my network card at a high price and effort (opening my laptop). Too big of a risk and cost. I've already wasted hours of my life troubleshooting Microsoft's errors that I will never get back.

In windows 10 mobile, I can go into my bluetooth devices, and 'disconnect' a specific device. In Windows 10, I can only 'remove' the device (which I don't want to do) or turn off BlueTooth altogether.
Does anybody know a way to just disconnect a device? For instance, I want to have my headphones connect to my phone instead of the PC.

Answer:How to disconnect a bluetooth device without turning off bluetooth.

'Remove device' is probably not the best choice of words they could have used on this! When you close the process (i.e. 'disconnect' your headphones) on your PC, you are performing the same function as what you describe on your phone. You are not actually removing the device, just closing the process. I hope that makes sense!

HI I have a X201, 64 BIT, windows 7. The computer will not pick up anything bluetooth. I rebuilt the computer to 32 bit, back to 64 bit, de-installed everything bluetooth then installed again, i download every update related to anything on Lenovo and microsoft thinking it might be a driver from something else causing the issue but still the same.  Bluetooth shows ok in device manager, i can switch it on and off, everything reports ok but it does not pick up anything, wireless is fine and everything else is fine. 6 months ago i had no issues then I bought a bluetooth mouse a few months back and it worked for 3 days then it stopped working, that is when i started troubleshooting and rebuilding my laptop. I have now bought a jambox and i want it connected via bluetooth, this time i intend either getting it working or i will be buying a new laptop, i have been troubleshooting on my own, surfing here and the net but now i am at a loss, i have had enough now, bluetooth is very handy but i am avoiding things that have bluetooth now and i should not have to do that. If anyone has any idea's please let me know.   RegardsJohn

Nor does it respond to pairing requests from the mobile phone!
Also in the com ports tab of Bluetooth settings, when I try to delete the Com ports it states "The specified service does not exist".
It is win 7 Ultimate with SP1 on it.

Hello.

I have an issue with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter - Version 4.0 Class 2 Smart Ready Adapter (Model No. MUA-BA3). Let me explain...

Okay, I have setup my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter with the drivers for my Windows 7 operating system. Now, when I plug this USB Bluetooth adapter into my USB port connector on my desktop computer, it automatically lights up with a blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter itself and on my Windows 7 system tray/notification area I get the Bluetooth icon displayed as ?ON?. Then I go ahead and pair the computer and my device(s) (example: a Smartphone) to connect which they do successfully. When I am done using the Bluetooth technology, I disconnect the Bluetooth connection from each device and then instead of leaving your USB Bluetooth adapter ON with my Windows 7 operating system, I go into my Windows 7 system tray/notification area and select ?Turn Adapter OFF?. I then get the red Bluetooth icon in my Windows 7 system tray/notification area demonstrating that my Bluetooth is indeed OFF and the Bluetooth blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter goes OFF or is not lit any longer. Okay, so far so good ? everything is normal.

However, when I shutdown my Windows 7 operating system and then restart the computer at some later point, I notice that the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter still shows on my Windows 7 system tray/notification area as OFF (okay ? normal); BUT THE BLUE LIGHT ON THE MEDIA LINK USB BLUETOOTH AD...

I have a T60 (1951-BS7) thinkpad that has Bluetooth installed. The Bluetooth radio is enabled, I have the Blue icon in the taskbar. It appears that the Bluetooth driver is enabled in device manager. I have updated the Bluetooth firmware and drivers from the Lenovo site. Here's the problem: when I attempt to open "My Bluetooth Places" and/or open the Bluetooth taskbar icon, I receive:"Bluetooth device not found. Please verify that your Bluetooth device is properly connected and turned on."

Answer:T60 Bluetooth Question - Bluetooth Device Not Found

Which version of Windows are u using?  I recall that there is a Windows patch to enable an updated version of bluetooth support in Windows. Have you looked at the driver chart for this patch?

Question: Bluetooth Issue!!!

OK...well I had my first issue with my edge.   For some reason I couldn't get my Bluetooth to work.  I spent a good deal of time trying to get it to work....... i.e. Driver installs etc.  It wasn't even listed in device manager.  Soooo of course I called tech support who walked me through the "normal" steps and determined that I need to send my Edge in to replace the module.  This didn't sit quite right with me being that my system was only 2 days old.  So I decided to see if there might be a cable loose or something like that......After taking basically the whole computer apart (the Bluetooth module is under the keyboard on the bottom left.)  unplugging the module then plugging it back in ~still didn't work.Called tech support back and just asked them to send me the Bluetooth module.  They agreed and will ship it out tomorrow.  Lets hope this works. Overall, tech support was so-so..First couple of people I talked to were a little rude but overall I've had worse.  I will keep everyone updated when I receive the part. Brandon

Answer:Bluetooth Issue!!!

Update:  So I received the bluetooth module and installed....and well....it didn't work.  System didn't recognize any new hardware.  Still doesn't show up under device manager or anywhere in the system.  Called support and sales...I'm sending it back for a full refund and I ordered a new one.  I had to be a little firm with them because they wanted me to send it in to be fixed however, I thought that since the system was 2 days old that it should have arrived to me in 100% working order.  They finally agreed and my system is set to ship in the next 10 days.  Anyone have any ideas of why my bluetooth wasn't working?  Does the bluetooth icon show up in your device manager.  Mine didn't show up anywhere in the system. Thanks Brandon

Question: Bluetooth issue

Hi,

i just installed a fresh copy of Windows 8. I was running Windows 7 and i had my bluetooth device off. Now when i try to install the bluetooth drivers using broadcom software i failed cause it needs to have the bluetooth on. As far as i know i can turn on my bluetooth only by software. On HP website there is a program called "HP Wireless Assistant" where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be turned on or off. This cannot be installed on Windows 8 and a pop-up message indicates "HP Wireless Assistant cannot be installed on systems with .NET framework smaller than 2.0".

Is there anything i can do or do i have to go back into Windows 7?

Answer:Bluetooth issue

Try this:

Right click on the bottom left corner and hit device manager. Open the Bluetooth category and right click on the Bluetooth device that is not functioning and hit enable.

Hello:

I followed your above steps, and I cannot turn on bluetooth or even get the option to show up anywhere on my computer; I even pressed Fn + F5.

I am wondering, do not all z560 computers come with bluetooth?  It's weird, because when I do a search on my computer for bluetooth, the only thing that comes up is an option to send/receive files.  Yet, the actual bluetooth software/component isn't anywhere to be found or can't even be turned on.

Please assist.  My computer was purchased in January, in the United States, and it came with Windows 7 and is running x64 processor, so I'd be shocked if it wasn't bluetooth capable.  Even my Ideapad S10-2 has bluetooth!

Thank you.

Answer:s10-2 bluetooth issue

when you press fn+f5 you should see wireless management window.
if you don't see it, re-install power management and try again.

about bluetooth, your computer may come or not with bluettooth support.

Question: Bluetooth issue

Hi,Not sure if anyone can help me but here it goes. I just bought the Ideacentre B500 and tried to sync the bluetooth keyboard and mouse.  The mouse works fine but the keyboard battery light keeps on blinking.  I tried to re pair it and entered the code and it works fine.  Once I installed Itunes, then both the mouse and keyboard goes back to the blinking state and not work.  I located the keyboard and mouse on my hardware page and tried to remove and add again but then nothing happens. Therefore, i one key recovered the comp since it was new and nothing is on it, then it works fine again.  Once I installed itunes, the same thing happens. Does anybody have a solutions for this?  Thanks in advance for your help. S

Question: BLUETOOTH issue

hi...i hope you guys can help me with my bluetooth issue.

i just purchased my laptop about 3 months ago. it had already been reformatted once, however, after reformatting, i noticed i no longer have the bluetooth icon on the COMPUTER window whenever i enable bluetooth on the computer. and also, i no longer am able to send and receive files through bluetooth automatically, the way i used to prior to reformatting the pc...now i have to send and receive files manually...one at a time which is really frustrating..

my mobile phones and other bluetooth devices are unable to automatically detect my computer unless i right click the blueooth icon and click on receive file..which i have to do for each and every file that needs to be transferred to my laptop...

do u think i need to install a software for this?

i have built in bluetooth in this laptop..

ASUS M50SV
BT Module: ASUS BT-183

i have already tried uninstalling and re-installing my wireless console and the bluetooth driver. same thing...

i really hope u can help me. thanks much!
