[ThinkPad Yoga S1 20C0] No Bluetooth devices found...

Question: [ThinkPad Yoga S1 20C0] No Bluetooth devices found...

I am using a Windows 10 64-bit system and having bluetooth issues due to broken drivers. Reproduction:- go to Windows 10 settings- click on bluetooth- let the system search for devices- (optional) switch off and on the bluetooth in order to reset the search Error:Windows does not find any devices. No headset, no controller, no phone. It was different a while ago, I could connect all these devices without difficulties. It is a driver error for sure, as I also booted a Live CD with Arch Linux distro, loaded bluez and bluez-utils, activated the bluetooth.service and did a device search with scan on in bluetoothctl. It immediately found all devices. I did try drivers on your support page: http://support.lenovo.com/de/de/...I did try one for Windows 8.1 x64 and one for Windows 7 x64. I also tried the automatic installation through Lenovo System Update. These all did happen on clean installation of Windows 10, no other software installed. How am I supposed to get bluetooth back running on Windows 10 again?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: [ThinkPad Yoga S1 20C0] No Bluetooth devices found...

Hi.

Do you see the Bluetooth recognized on the "Windows Device Manager"?
Since you booted Linux and bluetooth is working I don't think it may be a hardware issue like you said.

Just in case did you updated the BIOS from the support site of your model ? There are some updated on the BIOS related to Window 10 compatibility.

I'm not sure which Bluetooth device you have on it. Is it the one from Intel. Maybe you can an updated driver on the Intel site, or sometimes I use DriverEasy (not from Lenovo) to help me find a newer driver on their database.

I hope this helps in something.

My lenovo Yoga Thinkpad, Win 7, 32-bit, has a battery that is stuck at the 2% remaining mark.
I have it plugged in and the Power Manager states that it is charging and that the battery is in "GOOD" condition.
Power Use is set to "High Energy Savings".
The current BIOS is GQET38WW (1.18).
Based on other posts regarding batteries that won't charge, I tried updating the BIOS but I get this error: "Your battery needs to be charged to avoid accidental shut down during the BIOS update."
The laptop will not power on at all without the AC adapter plugged in and immediately shuts down if the plug is removed.

Any suggestions?
I can replace the system board, but I want to make sure I haven't exhausted all possible fixes before doing that.

Thanks!

I have a Lenovo Think Pad Yoga running Windows 7 32 bit.
I kept getting this message at boot up: "a disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"
The first few times it restarted and booted up normally.
Finally I got the BSOD. After trying a few fixes with no luck and unable to get around the BSOD, I decided to reimage the computer.
The reimage failed multiple times with this error in the deployment failure message: "Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt."
So I figured I had a bad hard drive. I replaced the hard drive with a new one, but when I went to put our image on the new hard drive - I got the same failures.
I took the new HD out and put it another working Yoga, and I was able to image it with no problems or errors. Now that I know it's not a HD issue, I'm wondering could something on the system board be to blame?
I'm confused because all the error messages seemed to point to problems on the HD.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I am having an issue with our Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga's connecting to our MDT 2012 server.  When I boot to Windows PE and try to connect to the deployment share I receive the message, "no networking devices found on this machine!."  I was able to find a link to MDT drivers on the Lenovo site https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht074984.  I have imported this driver into MDT and created a selection profile. I have ensured that the driver is in the boot image.  I have also tried injecting the drivers manually while booted into PE.  Just for good measure I even tried the drivers for the Think Pro One Link Dock and for the USB to ethernet dongle.  I have researched the web for solutions on this issue and tried all that I have found thus far. Oh by the way I have even totally recreated the MDT server from scratch and I still have this issue with the Yoga. I have other models of Lenovo computers and I can connect to the MDT server in PE on these machines.  Any advice or assistance would be highly appreciated as I am under the gun to get this up and working.

Because we've had the machine for 2 years, it's very difficult to find any information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated: I confirmed that we purchased a Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO with bluetooth -- but until now, we have not ever tried to use it. [We're running Windows 7 [64-bit] on it.] There is no Bluetooth Control Panel with which to add a device [in our case, a bluetooth mouse]. The only information I can find lists using the Fn+F5 key to access a window to enable it [yet, this was for a different model]. Using these keys doesn't bring up any such window. I would suppose adding a bluetooth mouse would be much less of an ordeal than this is becoming. I must be missing something. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Answer:Lenovo ThinkPad EDGE 0301CTO - Enabling Bluetooth and Adding Bluetooth Devices

Hi, musesupport

If you enter the BIOS of your machine by tapping Enter at the splash screen (screen that says Lenovo while starting up), there should be a tab called Security. Open this tab and then select I/O Port Access. Is there a Bluetooth setting in this list? If so, is it set to Enabled?

If the Bluetooth is set to Enabled, then I would recommend making sure all the drivers (Bluetooth, BIOS, and chipset, in particular) are up to date. All drivers for your machine can be found here.

Good luck, and let me know how it goes
Adam

Windows 7 Professional 32bit, Gigabyte x86 PC.

Windows bluetooth discovery is not finding any devices. On my android phone I can turn on discovery and locate the PC, and it prompts me to enter the passcode on the PC. However no devices show up.

I have tried three different USB dongles and installed the generic Windows bluetooth driver. (One of the devices prompted me for a different driver which was downloaded and installed, but then the radio was not recognized) I've tried three different devices as well (a mouse, a trackpad, and the android phone).

I've installed "Bluetooth Command Line Tools" and it tells me that the radio is installed and working properly, as does the Windows device manager. Bluetooth icon shows in the system tray when the dongle is plugged in.

I've changed the settings in services.msc as detailed in other posts (changing to local account with my username and password).

I've turned off firewall and antivirus, no change.

Constructive ideas, suggestions, and opinions are welcome. I can't just throw it out the window, though, as this is a work computer. All I want to do is add a Bluetooth trackpad.

Answer:No bluetooth devices found, but other devices find the PC.

I've just installed BlueSoliel (trail version which will expire in 30 days) and now all my devices can pair and connect.

At this point it appears to be a Windows software / driver issue. I'd really like to track this down and fix it myself, I don't mind actually paying for the BlueSoliel software but I'm stubborn about 'stupid computer problems'.

It just hangs on the blue Windows 7 screen.  I tried Last Known Good Config, Low Resolution Video, and Debugging Mode, but I get the same flashing screen.I'm pretty sure it has something to do with a video driver update.Any idea how I can get the machine to boot up so I can uninstall it or update it? Thanks!

Hi!
I have read a lot about problems on W7 with Bluetooth, but none of the solutions seem to apply to me. When I doubleclick on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar the Bluetooth Devices window comes up, the green bar loads to 99% and nothing happens, even though I have 2 turned on Bluetooth devices near the dongle. I have also tried using the software (BlueSoleil) that came with the dongle, but that doesnt work either.
All the devices in the device manager are installed correctly (no unknown devices). I am using W7 Premium.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

I uninstalled the driver, re-installed..looked on google and turned off power saving for devices; changes service to auto instead of manual and nothing..

Device manager shows Bluetooth is running fine Qualcom Atheros QCA61x4 4.0 installed.

I really don't want to factory reset, i called MSI for support and that's all they told me to try doing...that's great tech support.

I am the owner of Yoga 2 Pro and I have been using the integrated bluetooth that came with it to connect to a HC-05 Bluetooth module and that worked well for a while. After an update or something, my laptop decided to just stop being able to connect to the HC-05 module. In the add a device menu, the HC-05 name can clearly be seen but when the device is selected to open it just continues to load to no avail. And of course, the Bluetooth is on, I have verified that. It is not the module because I have two modules and cannot connect to either. And my friends my friends can connect.  Another detail:Because I was doing this for a project for someone who may not have integrated Bluetooth, I also purchased a Bluetooth dongle and connected to the HC-05 using the dongle and was able to connect using that. When the Bluetooth stopped working, I was no longer able to connect via the dongle and since have uninstalled it. What have I tried:I uninstalled and reinstalled the Bluetooth drivers twice and do not know any other possibilities. If anyone could give me guidance in troubleshooting methods or has experience with this I would appreciate the help.

Just got the Yoga 2 Pro a few days ago and really enjoying it, however I'm having a problem with Bluetooth.  I've tried pairing 3 different devices (iPhone 4s, a Bluetooth OBD adapter for my car, and a 1st Gen Nexus 7).  All three will pair, but only the iPhone stays connected.  The other two devices show "connected" status for 2-3 seconds, and then immediately switch to "not connected" status.  Not sure if this is a Windows 8.1 issue or a Yoga 2 Pro issue.  Anyone have suggestions?  I've searched around and tried a number of things (uninstalling the paired devices, reinstalling the intel bluetooth drivers, changing parameters in the Bluetooth Support Service, etc.) but nothing is helping.

I recently acquired a Thinkpad yoga 15 laptop and while playing with the options I realised it completely lacked Bluetooth functionality. I have tried updating the Intel PROSet Bluetooth software, updating the network adapter drivers, disabling the adapter altogether and reenabling it through the BIOS. I don't know if the Bluetooth adapter is supposed to appear as a different adapter in the Device Manager or if only the Intel Dual-Band AC 7265 is supposed to show up (under the Advanced tab, Bluetooth is labeled as Active). No bluetooth option is present in the PC and devices options menu... I even reset to factory settings in case it was an issue with a third party program, but even there, same situation. Hello there, I recently bought the Yoga 920 and tried to connect the HP Omen Accelerator for use as an eGPU. However, something seems to be wrong with the thunderbolt connection. When I connect the accelerator, the device connects for a split second (typical USB connection sound) and then immediately disconnects again (typical USB disconnecting sound). I tried different setups for the eGPU, I tried every possible driver I could find, I tried a different Thunderbolt cable and I followed every step on the Omen Website, nothing changed. Now, after looking at the Thunderbolt Controller Driver it tells me that the Controller-Driver-Version as well as the Networking-Driver-Version are unknown. I suspect, that there is something wrong with the thunderbolt driver/fírmware. Could it be that somehow the drivers aren't recognized? Any ideas as to where I could continue from here? Any advice is appreciated! RegardsMrKnowNothing Edit: To anyone who has the same problem. Sometimes the easiest solutions are the best. Two things could'Ve been the problem: 1. My antivirus blocking something. I uninstalled it and installed a different one, while I was working on the Omen problem, can't verify if that was the reason though. 2. I had the Thunderbolt Programm Window open when I connected the device. Not sure if I had tried that before, but it worked. So, it was probably either the antivirus or the thunderbolt software not being open before connecting.... Read more

So I'm really at a loss with this issue.  I've done so much troubleshooting to no avail.  Removed soundcard and bluetooth and reinstalled.  Installed new drivers.  Deleting and repairing devices. Changing the WiFi to "Prefer 5.2GHz band".  Other troubleshooting based on discussions on other forums... The Problem. Brand new Thinkpad P71.  I have two of the same external speakers I've used with my iPhone via Bluetooth to stream audio and never had a problem.  The speakers are the Oontz 3XL. When I connect with my P71, it can go 24 hours or two minutes, but it will just suddenly stop playing audio.  The blue light on the speaker will turn off.  To get it to work again, I'll have to close the audio app and reconnect the Bluetooh.  Then it will run for anywhere from one minute to 24 hours and disconnect again. I also just bought a brand new Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd gen).  Exact same problem.  Did all the same troubleshooting. I mostly stream Sirius XM from a browser (and have tried different browsers as well).  I also play audio from iTunes.  The weird thing with iTunes is that when this happens, the Play/Pause button in the software will also stop working, unless I close the app and restart. It's definitely a Lenovo problem, since I am encountering the same problem on both systems.  I don't know if this could be related to BitDefender and/or Malware Bytes (both are inst... 3 days ago I purchased an edge E520 1143 AK7. I installed Windows Home Basic on it and then updated it to latest date upgrades. Then I installed all the drivers and Thinkvantage ulitiies. The machine is just amazing. However, the bluetooth hardware itself is not found on the machine. The vendor who sold me the machine was very cooperative. He booted another machine to find out if a bluetooth exists on the machine or not. Unfortunately, even the service center person is facing the same problem. luetooth not found. I doubted that my machine either does not have a Bluetooth OR it is a manufacturing defect. I called Lenovo service center and they confirmed that my model DOES SUPPORT A HIGH SPEED BLUETOOTH. Manufacturing defect is ruled out as a second machine is also having the same problem. Therefore, I am doing something wrong. Some driver seems to be missing. Can anyone please help me with the issue?

Hello, I work with a Thinkpad Yoga. With bluetooth off, I get wifi speeds of about 100 mbps. When I turn on bluetooth and I use my microsoft bluetooth mouse, this drops to 20 mbps, and if on top of that I connect to my bluetooth speakers and turn spotify, internet connection completely stops. Thank you all in advance for your help.

We're currently running into an issue with an older Yoga ThinkPad model 20C0. Specifically when these devices were upgraded to Windows 10, they've encountered issues sporatically when users would shutdown or sleep the device. The system's screen will go black, but the LED power indicator on the palm rest "ThinkPad" sticker and atop the laptop itself. This behavior continues until the battery is fully drained. Here is what I've gathered so far. Early false positives led us to believe the Intel Management software was at issue, but a colleague eventually found that if Chrome and/or Firefox were running at the time sleep was initiated, the problem would be triggered. The behavior is inconsistent regardless of which driver is installed for Intel MEI or Intel HD Graphics. Currently using the following driver versions: Intel MEI: 11.0.0.1157(Lenovo's latest version is 9.5.15.1730) and Intel HD Graphics is Lenovo's current version 20.19.15.4416. Windows 10 1703 Enterprise OS Build # 15063.540. Anyone else encounter this issue? I know it is something plaguing Windows 10 users accross multiple hardware vendors and the only things that seem consistent is Windows 10 and Intel Gfx thus far. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated! JH

Hi all,
I am trying to change the names of the bt devices I use to connect to my lumia 1520, like my bt ear buds and car bt so it's easier to choose the bt I want to connect to, any suggestions? Running windows phone 8.1 update 1 in developer preview.

Answer:Changing the names of my bluetooth devices in the bluetooth section of my lumia 1520

Go to Settings -> Device hub (located at the bottom of the list)
Once the Hub is up and running you can pin it to the Start screen. In the Hub you can rename your BT devices as you please once you have connected them and the Hub recognises them.

Hi all: I recently purchased a second-hand X61 Tablet. It shipped with Windows Vista and still has about 75 days left in the warranty.I installed Windows 7 Home Premium on it, but now I cannot connect to my Nokia cellphone. With Vista, I could connect to it very easily. But in Windows7, I go to "Add a device" and it just keep searching for a device without showing my cellphone. I have done extensive googling/binging and the following are the things I have tried: - Both Bluetooth services are up and running and set to automatic- My cellphone is set to bluetooth ON and radio discoverable- My cellphone can see the computer. But cannot pair with it.- I have installed various bluetooth stacks so now the 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device" driver not found error, is not an issue. I am at a wits end with this problem. I am actually debating going back to Vista.Anyone here who can help me with my misery?

After refreshing a family Dell Vostro 3460 with new HD, new Windows 7 and a driver disk that was also provided by the (legit) Windows vendor), and after all the Windows updates, everything is fine in Device Manager except for three items, for which updated drivers cannot be found, and one for which no driver present at all. I don't know enough to know where to being looking for whatever is needed.
They are:
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
Unknown device
USB2.0-CRW
The unknown might be the built-in card reader in the front? Just a guess, since no other USB devices are "attached" as for as I know.
The CRW is the one that shows up as having no driver present.
Can anyone assist me? More info needed from me?

Answer:Devices manager, unknown USB devices missing drivers, can't be found.

Install first:

Then reboot.
Install second

Okay, so I don't really know if a solution is out there, but here is the situation I'm in. I only have one available USB port left which I am currently using for the Logitech Bluetooth dongle that came with my Logitech K750 solar keyboard. I would also like to attach my Samsung wep410 headset for Skype calls.

I have tried to discover the headset with and without Logitechs software installed with no luck. I then checked device manager, which does not show the dongle as a Bluetooth receiver/device. My assumption from that is that Logitech has it setup to only receive from their own devices.

Since I have no room for another dongle (and a hub isn't really ideal). Is there some way to force the dongle to detect normal Bluetooth devices? I've searched for a custom driver or other work around with no luck so far. This is on a computer running Windows 7 64bit.

I have a W500 with Win 7 32 bit, 4058-CTO.  I use a Lenovo Bluetooth mouse that works good.  But I cannot see or connect with any other Bluetooth devices. This laptop first came with Vista and I could connect to our cell phones via Bluetooth for data transfer.   I upgraded to Windows 7 and had not tried to connect to a cell phone until recently. I have tried many things - updating drivers, etc.   I have "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" checked.  There are no errors.   When I click the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and select "Show Bluetooth Devices", I can never see anything. On my cell phone, when I try to pair it with the computer, it sees the computer, and asks for a passkey, but then times out. Does anyone have any ideas?

Answer:W500 cannot see any Bluetooth devices in Win 7, but Bluetooth mouse works

After trying many things in Windows 7, I decided to install Virtual XP Mode.  I had to enable the hardware virtualization in the BIOS to get XP Mode to work. After that, I was able to install the W500 Bluetooth drivers for XP in the Virtual XP machine.  The Bluetooth works perfectly with my cell phone.  So it seems that my hardware is OK.  I will keep trying to get Bluetooth to work in Windows 7 - maybe do a clean install in the future.  For now, XP Mode does the trick.

Hello, through "Lenovo Update & Drivers" utility i installed ThinkPad update "THINKPAD Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II 6.2.1.3100" which is bluetooth solution by BROADCOM corp which has much better user interface and detailed settings than implemented Microsoft W7 bluetooth solution named "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator". The problem is that after installation of this update on my Windows 7 there is still functional this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator". I tried to disable it in "Device Manager" but after several restart of my computer nothing happened and this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator" is still active. It seems that this "MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator" came probably with some Windows actualization. The "THINKPAD Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II 6.2.1.3100" is installed on my computer successfuly - i can see it in Programs. And "Device Manager" says that this service also works OK. Can anybody help me to get rid off MICROSOFT/Windows7 bluetooth solution ("MICROSOFT Bluetooth Enumerator"), please? Do you know how to COMPLETELY uninstall this?I want use on my computer original LENOVO ThinkPad bluetooth by BROADCOM. Thank you for your notes and help.Xs

Hallo!

Answer:Lenovo Thinkpad Bluetooth Laser Mouse hakt und ruckelt seit Creators Update am Thinkpad P70 ...

I got the same problem.... But first let me translate this for everybody here.  My P70 (or in my case P71) has a problem to keep the connection estimated between the Lenovo mouse and my Laptop. Got the current driver installed.  The German guy above me got the same issue after the creators update.   I set everything Bluetooth related in Device Manager up to NOT let windows turn of the device to save power.  The mouse cuts out for 5 sec and comes back on. If you turn the mouse upside down during that time I noticed that the battery led toggles on and off. So it reboots. So I assume it's driver related to because it worked perfectly fine before on the L530 guys machine.

Hi,

When I connect Thinkpad Yoga (model 20CD00B1US) to the onelink dock, the stylus stops working.

In order to enable the stylus and Wacom driver following 2 options/ workarounds:
1)  Manually stop and restart the Wacom ISD Service
2) or reboot the machine while the Onelink dock is attached.

I'm using the latest 7.2.0-4 Wacom driver version, all latest lenovo software installed installed on the machine.

Both above mentioned workarounds are ugly, does anybody have a better suggestion to fix this issue?

I posted a similar question earlier and people referred me to the Yoga (much appreciated).  However, I was interested in the 2.6 lb carbon version with touch screen capabilities.  Asus has a Spin 7 model that is very good at 2.65lb, but I miss the red mouse toggle in the middle of the keyboard and Asus's track pad was designed too large....causing unintended tapping.  The Yoga, while nice, is heavier than I was looking for.  The 14 inch screen is about 3.3lb? the 12 inch at 3? I thought that some of the earlier Thinkpad Carbons had touch screen and was hoping they would make a return soon.  Thanks,

Hi, I am new to this site and wondering if I can get some advice. I just purchased the 20DM009Gus (thinkpad yoga 14) from this site when it was on sale the other day, however I was just given an offer for the 20DK0023us (thinkpad yoga 12) which was the size I originally wanted, for the same price. I know each have their pros and cons, but I am wondering if anyone has first hand advice with either or both devices to help me decide which I really should choose? Thanks!

Hi chiakri.

I have a TPY 14 (20DM008UUS) and I'm happy with this model. I didn't not compare it to the TPY 12, but mine is working fine and have no issues. It didn't came with a pen, but it supports "Active pen", so I bought a Thinkpad Pen Pro and it worked fine.

I prefer to stick with the 14" screen but that is more about personal prefence. Maybe if you like to use it very much on tablet mode with a pen, possible the 12" will be more confortable to hold as a book.. but I'm just guessing.

I am hhaving difficulty finding an acceptable scaling mix between resolution, system scaling, and edge scaling. At 1080p, 125%, 125%, os navigation is mostly fine, but edge text is way too large. At 1080p, 125%, 100%, edge text is way too small. At all combinations text is inflated (but crisp) in certain elements while fuzzy in others. What scaling combinations work best for you? I am considering returning this to Best Buy and upgrading to a Pro 4 / Book, or even a Mac. The scaling is ruining an otherwise great experience.

Hey guys, I'm a PreMed student who's life revolves around his laptop. I'm always on social media, watching some show, listening to music, doing an essay, taking notes, updating some website, or emailing some person on campus. Of course, my old laptop broke. It was a Dell Inspiron. Now, I have a campus job and have been saving money(so money is not factor necessarily). After researching my options, I've narrowed my choices down to the three previously listed laptops. I just want to know which do you guys suggest and why?

Answer:Surface Book vs Lenovo Yoga 900 vs ThinkPad X1 Yoga

By looking at your requirement, you prefer on-the-go PC that lets you do all that on a decent budget, SP4 is better than SB(if you want lightweight device and decent battery life), Lenovo's are pretty good too. X1 w/o OLED seems to be a better buy in terms of ultraportability and battery life. You could wait for others to chime in.

I have two staff members with different Yoga models, but with the same pen issue. Say, for instance, OneNote is open. The pen doesn't draw or write, but it can select and still be recognized. When I try using an old stylus from an HP Elitebook, it works TOTALLY fine - even the button on the pen functions properly. This suddenly started after months of the Lenovo pens working fine. I thought maybe it was a driver issue, but it can't be as the HP pen works.... I'm thinking it's the pen itself just getting worn down? It looks okay though but may be just a little loose... Disclosure:  I received these laptops from Lenovo as part of their advocacy program, so huge thanks to the folks over at Lenovo. I don't receive compensation for my review, and as always, all opinions are my own.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga is first modern ThinkPad that I've ever owned.  I?ve been using Lenovo?s Ideapad lineup for a very long time, and while I?ve used ThinkPads in the past, the X1 Yoga will be my first personal ThinkPad that I own.  So how does it stack up to the Yoga 910?  Let?s find out! I have the i7 UHD model of the Yoga 910 and the i5 FHD model of the ThinkPad X1 Yoga.  I tried out the latest Yoga 920, but I haven?t tried the latest X1 Yoga yet? hopefully, I will!

Hardware & Design
Even though both laptops carry ?yoga? in their name, the hardware behind them is vastly different.  The ThinkPad X1 Yoga has the classic ThinkPad black design, which is made of a carbon-fiber hybrid for the top cover and a magnesium-PPS hybrid for the bottom cover.  The Yoga 910 has a similar design from the Lenovo?s Yoga lineup, with an aluminum build throughout.

The ThinkPad only comes in two colors: classic black and silver; whereas the Yoga has a whole suite of colors to choose from, such as silver, copper, bronze, and even a few exclusive designs, such as the Vibe designs for the Yoga 920 and the Star Wars themed designs for the Yoga 910.

Hey guys,

I just went out and bought a mic from bestbuy and I plugged it in, I had a small bit of trouble getting the headphones to work, but eventually got them working.

Now I am having trouble with the microphone part of the headset. It is plugged in properly to the back of the computer in the correct jack, but for some reason under "Recording" it is giving me the message of "No Audio Devices Are Installed."

I have no clue what to do and was wondering if anyone out there could be of assistance to me?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Respectfully,

Borgstede

Answer:Devices>Recording: "No Audio Devices Found"

I just plugged in my old headset which IS a USB headset and it recognizes it but I am unable to speak, I dont know if its because the mic doesnt work anymore or if its another problem.

My new mic is NOT a USB headset, it has two different plugs, 1 for the headphones and 1 for the microphone jack in my computer. So is it because of that feature that my computer is unable to recognize the new microphone?

Question: bluetooth devices

I am attempting to connect a mobile phone to my computer. On the Bluetooth Devices icon in Control Panel I am unable to 'turn discovery on' (in options). The message 'Settings not Saved' appears detailing discoverability and connection. I am operating on a Pentium 4 system with Windows XP and SP2.

Answer:bluetooth devices

Do you have a bluetooth icon in your system tray?

You should be using this and then utilizing the bluetooth places folder to find and connect the device and then discover available services with that device.

If you don't have that icon, your missing the Widcomm stack, which you need before bluetooth functionality will happen. Search your manufacturer website for these drivers.

Question: Bluetooth Devices

I have bought a Bluetooth keyboard for my PC (running a Windows 7 64bit OS) and while I am able to successfully install and pair the device, I find that each time I either switch off the device (or PC) and switch either back on again I cannot re-establish the connection unless I remove the device and re-install and pair it once more? Surely it isn't necessary to have to follow this procedure every time I wish to use it...or is it? Any helpful ideas would be much appreciated.

Question: Bluetooth Devices?

Hi all,

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum, but I've got a question about bluetooth devices. This is gonna be a really dumb one. I have a newer laptop here that is wireless. In other words, I have a router and a small wireless network set up. I have the little blue button that lights up at the top of the keyboard. Is that bluetooth? I also have a wireless printer with that same icon lit up blue.

I have a new cellphone that is bluetooth and I want to make the phone and computer talk to each other to transfer pictures. I read that I need to go to "Bluetooth Devices" in the Control Panel to get things set up. However, I don't see that selection. So, do I have bluetooth or not?

Is there a program that allows me to un-pair Bluetooth devices BESIDES the Bluetooth tab in PC Settings?
I can NOT un-pair devices this way! Note that removing the device via Device Manager does NOT remove it, as it comes right back.

I had to buy a new Bluetooth adapter to re-pair my devices, but I got THE SAME ISSUE as before, and that is this.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I can't do it like this:

And before anything, yes, I'm admin. Also note there is no on/off switch. Please explain this. Thanks.

Cannot un-pair via Device Manager (just simply comes back after uninstall, removal, and re-insertion of BT dongles).
Cannot un-pair via Bluetooth tab in Settings.

Hi,

Hopefully this is the correct Forum !

I have a Microsoft Mouse 5000 and Wedge keyboard (the early one that does not fold).
Both have been working perfectly.

Recently I paired them both successfully with a new Samsung tablet, but when I came to use them again on my laptop,
I found that I could not pair either of them.

I have spent countless hours researching this without success.

Here's where I am now:

Settings > Bluetooth & other devices does not list either of them.
Device Manager > Bluetooth has both of them showing and reports both working properly.

Device Manager reports as follows:

Notebook Mouse 5000:
No driver files are required or have been loaded
The Events tab says that further installation is required

Wedge Mobile Keyboard:
No driver files are required or have been loaded
The Events tab says that further installation is required

The 2 Service Discovery Service entries also report that further installation is required.

Can anyone suggest the way forward, please ?

Regards.

Hello @Nisko,

I don't use any of these type of items, so I really don't have any personal experience with them.

It would probably be best to have a separate thread per specific device to have a higher chance of someone that knows more about that device be able to find the thread and help.

I have 3 different Bluetooth devices, 2 headphones and a Bose wireless speaker, all 3 have died and will not charge. I am plugging them in to charge using the cable they came with and plugging them into the same brick that I use to charge my iphone. Am I doing something wrong?

Answer:Charging bluetooth devices

You need to check what charging Voltage each device needs and see if it's the same as the iPhone charger provides.
The Amps (current) and/or Watts from the charger can be the same or higher that the device needs, not lower though.

Should be written on the charger and maybe on the devices, if not should be in any instructions you got with them or we can search online if you post the exact model details for the device(s).

Is there some registry items that may have been disabled? I checked the services and Bluetooth Support is set to automatic and started. What other troubleshooting steps can I try. Thanks in Advance.

I've got an Acer Aspire S3-951, just installed Windows 8 Release Preview Build 8400.

Right now, I'm having the exact same problem. I have that model too. I ran a Windows Troubleshooter, and it came up with lots of bluetooth problems. It told me to reinstall the drivers for it, so I'm trying to do so right now...

I have a Thinkpad T410 with Bluetooth and up untill recently everything worked fine.  Now I cannot connect to any new bluetooth devices.  Existing bluetooth connections still work fine, but if I wanted to add another mouse or headset, I cannot. I am running Windows 7 Pro x64 with all the latest drivers, I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers and application several times with no luck, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Answer:T410 Bluetooth not seeing devices

hey Gizmoguy3000,could you try uninstalling all the bluetooth devices and drivers. then let windows install its generic drivers.once the generic drivers has been installed, try pairing all the devices and see if that works.

I have a Medialink Bluetooth dongle that I am unable to get to work with all my bluetooth devices. I have the drivers installed and everything seems as if it should be functioning properly. However, I am not able to pair my two Android devices or my Turtle Beach PX5 headset. I was able to connect with my printer so I'm sure the device itself is working properly. I'm just not sure what I am doing wrong with my other devices. Thanks for the help.

Answer:I can not connect Bluetooth devices.

Also, when I go the Bluetooth menu and click "Open Settings" nothing opens. What's causing that?

New PC with bluetooth.  Can anyone provide guidance on how to use blue tooth with external speakers and send music from ITunes or other sources to them along with external speakers directly connected to the PC?  Is there a limit to the number of BT devices you can ouput to simultaneously.  I have a couple of bluetooth speakers in other rooms and would like to be able to play music from the PC to them. Thank you

Am I correct to assume that I should not reformat Drive C with XPPro O/S with my Microsoft Elite Bluetooth Keyboard & mouse? I'm thinking that I should re-connect the orginal Dell keyboard & mouse then after sucessful re-install...then reload the bluetooth keyboard & mouse...am I correct?

Answer:Reformatting Win XP Pro with Bluetooth Devices?

I would most likely do it your way in re-connecting the DELL KB and Mouse then once the OS is installed install Chipset Drivers so that the USB drivers are correctly installed then install your Bluetooth KB and Mouse.

Hi all! I have problems when i try to transfer files between my PC and other devices (mobile phones, PC's) via bluetooth.

I can send files normally but i cannot receive them. When I try to receive, the connection just fails. Do you have any idea what might be the problem and how to solve it? Could it be something to do with serial ports? At the moment I am using different serial ports for sending and receiving (COM23 and COM24). How can I change the serial ports so that they would the same for sending and receiving..?
Or has it anything to do with serial ports?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit and my bluetooth device is Generic Bluetooth Radio manifactured by Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd.

Br,
John

Hello:
This is a very minor issue with Windows 10 and Bluetooth audio devices.
I have a laptop with (3) Bluetooth audio devices set up to be used. They work just fine.
The issue I am having is that I just want to run (1) of those devices and not all 3 at the same time.
They are set up in different rooms to listen to music, but all 3 will turn on and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off 2 of the devices.
I could do this very easily with Windows 7, but cannot figure out a way with Windows 10.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Maxdout38

Answer:Bluetooth Audio Devices

Right mouse click on the little speaker icon in the system tray. Select "Playback Devices". Then make sure only the desired Bluetooth speaker is selected.
This drove me totally crazy until I saw a post on another forum. The ability to choose what to connect to should be under "Bluetooth" settings, not just under the audio devices. Easy once you know it, but who would think of trying that???
Let me know if that works for you.
Brian

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, running Vista 64 bit.
Wireless works fine.  I have never tried connecting with Bluetooth before.
I was looking for a portable speaker but they are all Bluetooth operable.
So, decided to see if my laptop connects with Bluetooth.
According to the configuration it does.
It has a Dell Wireless 1510 802.11n Half Mini Card.
I have a Bluetooth Devices file in my Control Panel but no devices that it connects with.
Does anyone have any suggestions or help?

Answer:PC does not recognize bluetooth devices

According to Dell, these are the specs for your wireless card.  As you can see, there is nothing to show that your wireless card has any Bluetooth capability.  Without more information, I cannot say why you would have a "Bluetooth Devices file" in your Control Panel.  Should you want me to look into this further, please post screenshots of your Control Panel and Device Manager windows.

Just to tell that the Widcomm 5.1 provided on a link on this forum, does work fine and install very well through Windows Update for most of the bluetooth drivers...

Version on my Original CD Install is around 4.1 or 4.3 dated 2003, have an issue with tray control (windows pops up every time) and is buggy.

I'm with a PCMCIA Bluetooth TDK PC Card Type II, to transfert files and pictures with OBEX from a 3rd S60 platform mobile phone.

I didn't wanted to install a PC suite, just basic transfert from Phone to PC.

Widcomm 5.1 suit most of the bluetooth devices known by now.

I was looking back yesterday the post for the link and couldn't find it back. Orbital Shark may you have the link?

The purpose of this new thread.

Thanks.

Answer:Bluetooth Devices (Widcomm)

Have you tried the following:

Broadcom Corporation - Bluetooth Software Download

Using the Broadcom updater I managed to get a very recent version installed:

Bluetooth (WIDCOMM) driver v.6.2.0.8900 (22/04/2009) for Win7

The updater should work with all Broadcom based BT chipsets...

If WIDCOMM v.5.1 worked for you this might too...

I have a new Dell xps 8900 desktop. When I get on the Bluetooth it just circles and can never find any devices even though they are close by. Nothing in device manager seems out of place. Bought new with windows 10, hasn't worked yet. Something I'm not doing that should be obvious? Should I search the Bluetooth adapter and look for a driver update?
