I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
Your files aren't stored in the main Toshiba files, which probably means Toshiba no longer supports your model. But they are still stored in the listed archives. This is all the files I could find for your device Windows 7 32bit

Hi
I've got an A200-28P with an ATI HD2600 card in it and the July 08 driver version 8.452 on it,
Now I emailed ATI and asked if there was anyway they could provide Toshiba with the driver that fixes a known issue in the Sims 2 game where the ATI 2,3 and 4000 series cards suffer a black screen on TV and the PC has no picture.
And they basically told me that they can't offer me an updated driver and there are ways of getting newer drivers but that its up to my laptop maunfacturer to ask for the latest drivers as people with desktops with any of the affected cards have all had a driver update to fix the issue and the makers of the game provided a fix in a patch for one of the expansion packs that I don't own.
So unless I risk letting a copy program called Securom onto my laptop I can't get my black screen issue fixed am used to it now but when feel well enough to play on desktop is fun to see the TV programmes and the PC pictures so seems unfair my laptop can't have a newer updated driver with a fix in it.
Does anybody know who I'd have to contact at Toshiba to ask about asking ATI for a driver with a fix in it for this known issue?

Hi, You can use this tool http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php it is DH MOBILITY MODDER, dowload newest drivers from ATI 9.3, and then use this tool to mod them and after that they will work with Your Ati mobility card, I have Toshiba A300 with Ati 3470 and everything works ok. GOOD LUCK :)
2 more repliesHello!!
I Have a problem.
I changed windows on my notebook from Vista to Windows 7.
I searched on homepage and i didn't find drivers for Flasch card's and FrontPanel, is not lit :(
Pls Help me !
Hi
The Toshiba Multimedia buttons are controlled by VAP (value added package).
Since the VAP is model independent, the VAP for Satellite L500 should run also on Sat A200?
Therefore download the VAP for Sat L500 and check how it would works on your A200?
One question:
What do you mean by Flasch card's??
Do you mean the FN buttons or the card reader???
The FN buttons are controller by Flash Card Support Utility which can be downloaded also from Satellite L500 driver area?
Check it!
I downloaded the following drivers (for my Notebook; Satellite A10-163 Model number : PSAA9E)
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-8021101
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-8021102
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-9024
lan-sa100-psaa-xp-9025
I unzipped each of these and can only find a PROUnstl.exe file, which un-installs any existing drivers; I cannot find a "Setup.exe" or anything that sets up either of my wired or wireless networking cards. I am using Windows XP Home edition.
Is there anywhere I can get a driver that has an easier to use "install.exe" file in it?
Is there anyone that can help me over-come this problem?
Hi
First of all, all drivers which are available on the Toshiba driver page should works properly. I?m 100% sure about this. If you don?t find any setup.exe or install.exe in the driver folder so you have to use another driver installation procedure.
Go to the device manager, choose the LAN card and install the driver. Please choose the driver form the driver download place.
Hi
I believe i need to update video drivers on my Toshiba laptop (it's a Satellite A660, but I don't think that's relevant).
I have tried to use the downloads page on the Toshiba website: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download. It gives me no response, no list of products, nothing, whether I try to use the drop-down lists or enter my laptop's part number directly.
And it does the same using another laptop too.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there another way to get to product downloads?
thanks,
Simon.
Hi
What Satellite A660-xxx do you have exactly?
Drivers for all Toshiba European notebook models can be downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page:

4 more repliesHi Readers,
Just recently found out about these new drivers mostly issued in Dec 2007. I purchased a Satelite Pro A200 in Nov , there 32 + BIOS updates for this laptop
I am going abroad in fortnight with the laptop. Do you think its really necessary to be installing all these new drivers before i go away?
I have spent some time uninstalling the trial apps. which are now expired. Installed new firewall ZA & AV Avast. , plus Office 2003
Comment s will be taken and review the status etc.

I have Satellite A200 and I have updated Value Added Package only. Other stuff must not be updated.
With new version flash cards run much faster and you can use them much better than before. If you want to do the same download latest version, remove preinstalled from the system and at least install latest version.

OK Guys!
Please forgive me if this topic was posted before, as far as I know, the exact model I'm talking about doesn't have a relevant topic here.

I CAN'T FIND XP DRIVERS!
I really can't believe it, why are they doing this? Is it a marketing policy? They want Vista to become popular? What is this?
I'm fed up with searching the Internet and Toshiba websites, I still can't find what I need. I found LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, and other tools but I can't find audio or VGA drivers.
Is this a general problem or am I the only one facing it?
I really need your help.

You and everybody else that wants to go from vista back to xp, the hardware in the vista configured pc is designed for the vista drivers, in most cases drivers wont be available. ed
Hey Guys/Girls, im in need of some help....
So last night I swapped my brand new laptop for 2 other laptops, one of which is a TOSHIBA SATELLITE A200,
Sooo when I turn it on it first shows a loading screen saying "WINDOWS IS LOADING FILES"
I then get the normal VISTA loading screen, once it finishes loading that is it, it goes to a black screen with the cursor on it and it just stays at that.
I then tried to install VISTA again but I still get the same start up rather then going into the installation setup thing.
I TRIED installing WINDOWS XP and then a message pops up saying that "SETUP DID NOT FIND ANY HARD DISK DRIVES INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER"
"but it does show the hard drive in the BIOS"
I also Plugged in a Blank Hard drive and tried to install XP yet the same message again
Please help as I am absolutely stumped on this one
The 'windows is loading files' comes from a setup of the operating System, and will normally be followed by a reboot and the continuing installation of windows. As part of that process, you would normally get the installation of the video drivers and other motherboard drivers. This is currently not happening for you. So wherever these files that are 'loading' came from, they don't seem to have included correct driver files for the Toshiba.
The 'setup did not find any hard drives' message comes from an install of XP, but the hard drive is not found because XP does not understand SATA drives. The way round that problem is to enter the bios and set the hard drive to an IDE compatible mode, or to supply XP with a SATA driver, which is done early in the installation process, but is not easy on a portable.
In summary, your Toshiba does not have any Operating System at the moment, and you need to start from a Windows retail install CD or DVD. You also need the correct set of driver files for the Toshiba model.
Usually, portables are supplied with an OS already installed, and there is no supplied OS install disk - just a process where you can initialise an install from a hidden setup partition on the hard drive. Have a read of the manual on Toshiba's website. It's just possible that the hidden setup is still there and can be activated.
My laptop has a VGA port and an S-video. Could you help me how and what to buy to enable me connect my laptop to a TV [SONY, a/v RCA connection] to optimize multimedia features.
Hi there, if what you are trying to do is get video going from your laptops S-VIDEO out into your TVs RCA input (Yellow), then I suggest you get one of these adaptors that can be found cheap at most AV related stores. Here in Australia you could get something like this: http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4922a2b300c49ab62740c0a87e0106eb/Product/View/C0008
If you need more help on how to set it up I can help.
Hey,
I'm thinking of rolling my a200 back to xp64bit pro, but can't find any official drivers anywhere!
Does anyone know any good sites for 64bit drivers?
Thanks!
Can you please be more specific about notebook model you have?
If you visit Toshiba support and download page you will see that Toshiba offers 64-bit drivers for many notebook models.

1 more repliesHi,
Fisrtival, I'm from Poland so sorry for my english:)
Secundary,
I bought a Toshiba Satellite A200-1ZF Notebook with Windows Vista.
I have to work on AutoCad and some programs cooperating with AutoCad. These programs aren't working on Vista so I really would like to have a good old Xp System:) I have already integrate a Sata driver for HardDrive with my Xp installation cd. It installed greate but after the installation the CD-Rom disapeared from My Computer. Some Hardware was installed it self but some not. I had searched a lot of web pages with drivers, support e.t.c but i haven't found anything what was needed:/ For example ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 or Realtek HD Audio. I'd be really thankfull if someone could help me.
I don't know meybe there is somewhere a driver pack for my Toshiba for WinXP? As At Toshiba website support as at Intel i haven't found it.
Please help me.
Thanks for all help
Can't verify the drivers, but found a post on another forum where a guy had the same driver problems with an A200. He finally found them and put them together and has them posted. Hope this helps.
http://www.zofodraz.com/toshiba/
There are a bunch more sites, but they aren't in english. I can muddle through a bit of french, but that's about it.
i was having issues with a blue screen having the error nv4_disp. I uninstalled the video driver but forgot to note down the model.
I am using Xp pro service pack 3
I downloaded GeForce ForceWare 180.60 XP (32-bit) but everytime it says
"The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware."
I think that that my video card is Geforce GO 7200
Try this driver. It supports most Geforce Go chipsets, including the 7200. I looked around at Toshiba but couldn't find any NVidia drivers for WinXP. Maybe if you posted the full model; Toshiba model numbers usually look like A205-S4537 for example. An Everest report attached to a future post might help too:
Use Everest to get a report of your system?s hardware, OS, and drivers. Upload the report as an attachment
Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181
When Everest is done scanning, click "Report" at the top of the Everest window, click next to get to "Report Profile", select "Hardware related pages", click next, select "Plain Text", click "Finish". Then when it is done processing, click "Save To File". Save it where you want to. (I would use Desktop.)
Click "Go Advanced" in the MG reply box, scroll down a little way until you see "Manage Attachments", click it, browse to your file, click "Upload", and close the window. Then submit the post. You may have to also type something in the reply box, like, "Here's my report.", so that it will submit.Click to expand...

Where do I find drivers and BIOS update for my older Satellite A200-10W for Win 7 32 and for Win 7 64?
I did not find support by entering the serial number on assistance Toshiba

Hi,
I've been working on a friends A200-AHC308. It had a few viruses and was currently running XP, so I decided to reformat to XP-SP3. Prior to the reformat I attempted to back up all of his files to a USB flash drive, although the computer had problems recognizing the USB. I figured that the problem may have had something to do with a faulty driver installation so ignored it and continued with the format, having backed up his files on a DVD. After the reformat I am still having the same issue. All drivers are installed properly and nothing in Device Manager is popping up with a question mark. What happens is this: I plug the media in (whether it be an external HDD or a flashdrive) and the computer goes through its device wizard. It does one of two things:
Says the device was installed successfully although when attempting to access it through My Computer the drive does not load (it is present, although when attempting to open it I have no luck).
Says the device is not compatible.
Anyone?
If you have a second USB flash drive available, plug it into the Toshiba and see if you can read from/write to it.
If you can, it's likely the drive you backed the data up on is either going bad or was corrupted by the virus(es). If this is the case, any attempt at recovering the data should be done with extreme caution. If inserted into and accessed from another PC there is a good chance it will infect it. Go to the virus and malware section of the board for specific scanning and cleaning tips for the drive before you attempt to open or transfer any data from it.
If the second (clean) USB drive doesn't work, reboot the PC with the USB drive removed and try again. If it still fails, go to http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/Portal and download the Beta version of Microsoft's Fix-It Tool. XP SP3 had a few bugs; this tool fixes many of them.
Hope this helps.
Hello.
Windows' device manager says my laptop is missing the PCI memory driver and the storage driver, however i don't know which drivers i should install.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi,
Download and install Chipset Utility and Storage Manager.
Hi,
I installed Tempro V1.2 on a satellite A200. Tempro tell me that I have 12 alerts but when I click at description of the alert,
I have in french an error message witch tell me that tempro stopped: 'Tempro a cess de fonctionner).
Have you an idea to resolve this problem?
Regards.
Maybe you should remove the Tempro software firstly, and then should clean the OS using the CCleaner and then you should install the new Tempro software on your system.
But just one hint: the Tempro sends only a message to you if a new driver or tool was uploaded on the Toshiba driver page.
In my opinion it?s not really necessary? it runs always in the OS background and needs hardware recourses? I had this tool but I removed it from the OS.

So, to begin with I know next to nothign about this laptop. I am repairing for a friend but after a week of trying I am calling out for help.
It won't boot to windows, when I try it gets to a black screen with a mouse cursor and hangs there. I have left it there for 3 hours without any change. hitting shift 5 times does not give me a sticky key option. Safe mode does not work as it gives the same results.
I have tried using the Recovery Discs that he gave me to recover, no dice as well as I tried my own version of Vista and nothing.
I need some ideas.
Forgot to mention I treid the Windows repair and it ran for close to 6 hours before I turned it off. =\
Hi
I have Toshiba notbook model (Satellite A200-130) but i can't find it within toshiba products.
Can any one know why this model nor present with toshiba products?
Thanks
Hi
I think you have mistyped simply.
It?s not a Satellite A200-130 but Satellite A200-13O ;)
The Satellite A200-13O is definitely a Toshiba product.
You can find this here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com -> Laptops ?> Satellite - for the home
There you will find all new available Satellite series.
Choose Satellite A200 series and press the button ?View all models?.
The Satellite A200-13O will appear as a last model in the list.
Cheers

Hi there, I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 and just today I've encountered a frustrating problem. Let's just get a few things out first.
I had intended to turn it off last night, but it didn't shut down. There was some message about a program still opened or something like that (not a big deal I thought as I had gotten it a few times before). I just clicked whatever it was that ended it or turned it off anyways. So today I come back to turn it on and it was on that message. I turn it off and come back later to turn it on. I noticed there was a black screen and I could not do anything. I hold the power button to turn it off and restart it. It loads the Toshiba/Phoenix screen fine. Then I get to the Windows Recovery screen. It gives me two options.
- Use the Windows Recovery thing to try to find and repair any errors
- Start Windows normally
I tried the first option a few times but it said there was an unspecified problem due possibly to some hardware configurations (did not do anything before). I restarted and pressed F2 and looked for anything that might have caused it and I exited without saving any changes (Toshiba/Phoenix thing) and then it led me to the screen with the Safe Mode and other options. I chose Safe Mode just to see and it led me to the log-in screen, but after that it would not let me see those same options again. Anyways, I would start normally and at the loading screen, the bar would load but there is no Vista logo. After that, there's ... Read more

Hi.
When I turn on my laptop (Satellite A200) often, but not absolutely everytime, I get a bar across the top of the screen which reads 'Toshiba Flashcards (not responding'.
Sometimes this can be removed by clicking the red cross in the corner of the bar and after a few moments it does disappear, but other times it stays there and there appears to be no way of getting rid of it.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
You can probably tell from this that I am not a computer expert and simple language would be most appreciated!!
Try this:
Update the BIOS, which can be downloaded from the Toshiba website
Uninstall the Toshiba Value Added Package
Download and install the latest Toshiba Value Added Package from the Toshiba website
Hi guys,
got a toshiba satellite pro a200 when i power it up it just goes straight to a white screen
i have reseated the memory one at a time and also reseated the hard drive
but it still does the same
any ideas?
The PC's lights turn on. The fan goes, but the laptop has a black(dead) screen
Try connecting a monitor to it if you have one, and press Fn + F5. If you get a display then there is something wrong with the internal display. If no display, something else is wrong.
Hey all!
I upgraded my laptop with Vista to Windows 7 Professional and ever since then I cannot get access to the touchpad settings at all. I want to turn off the tapping and turn on the scrolling. I have tried installing and uninstalling the device as well as the new the new driver for my symantics touchpad from the symantics website and the recommended driver from the toshiba site but neither has worked.
When I go into device properties and go to change settings the only options I have are to specify the actions the two buttons have.
Totally absolutely frustrated...it should have been an easy fix.
Any suggestions?

Hoping to find some help on how to change my Toshiba Satellite A200 from Spanish Language to English.
I asked a friend to buy me this notebook from Spain, unknowing to him the OEM came in spanish language and the recovery CD as only is only spanish but i don't understand spanish and i have been finding it difficult to go about the notebook since i don't want to click the wrong thing in spanish.
Even when i install programs, it automatically installs in spanish and this is really frustrating,
Somebody HELP!!!
Your notebook was bought in Spain and therefore the Vista OS is also in Spanish language.
You cannot change it to English without purchasing a new Vista Microsoft disk in English language.
In some cases it could be possible to install an MUI (Multilanguage) package for Vista but this will work only with Vista Ultimate (and Business???)
Hello everyone
I have a second hand Toshiba satellite A200 that will not load into windows. It just goes into installing update 3 of 3 and restarts. I have tried safe mode but it just gets to \Windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys and stops there. I really need some help because this is the computer Inuse for retrieving video from my model plane
Cheers,

In order to fix a problem like this you would need a Vista Install Disk? Then do a startup repair or System Restore. If you do not have a install disk you can get the files off the drive with either a linux distro like Puppy or a WinPE disk you can build on a Windows 7 computer. After that you may be able to do a factory reset.
You can also follow the steps here to create a Vista Install iso.

A BIOS flash will not wipe the password on a laptop...and may render it un-bootable at all if it's the incorrect flash. For BIOS password recovery on laptops it needs to be taken to a Toshiba Service Center to retrieve/reset the password.Be prepared to show proof of ownership as they will ask for it.

When will the drivers be available for both XP and Vista for the PSPAEE? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E some of which work, some not, on either operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Ugrade and the drivers work but two of the driver apps are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I could get no options to enable these (unclassified as yet from MS so they are locked out) I was told to disable Defender by tech-support!
I have tried a clean install of my own version of Vista Business and had driver problems with that as well.
I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more efficient but would like to use drivers specifically for it so a time-frame would be very useful.
I'd also like to know why there is a plug where a finger-scanner could go underneath the 0 of the number-pad, and a blocked-off lower PCMCIA (PCI-E?) port when neither of these are available as upgrade options? Did I miss those upgrade options or is this a case recycled from another model where they are available? If the latter then that's pretty cheap for a new machine :)

So in my opinion the next drivers for next series should follow in the next time?
I don?t see any other way as to wait?
Of course you can test different drivers from different series like Sat P100.
Many notebook models use the same devices and therefore the different single drivers could be compatible?
Hi,
I hv Satellite Pro A200 laptop. I need its xp deivers. but i failed to find its exact model number.
On the back side of laptop it shows follwing informations:
MODEL NAME: SATELLITE PRO A200
MODLE NO. PSAE4E-02301PG4
SERIAL NO. Y7252417K,
but toshiba website's database is not recognising it. i tried the above serial no. here>> http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/SUPPORT_PORTAL/ .
can anyone help me please.
The question is what you want to do exactly.
All info you need you get it on the Toshiba sticker at the bottom.
I can imagine you want to check download page. Your notebook model is listed there.
Go to Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and there you can find it.
Hi all
In my laptop the Toshiba vista registration component config.exe program doesn't work.
Please help me? How can I make it Work?
Hi
You have received the Toshiba recovery CD with your nice Sat A200.
I would recommend setting the notebook back to the factory settings and after the new OS installation check if the Toshiba vista registration tool will run correctly.
In other case you can visit the Toshiba Europe site and could register your notebook on the Toshiba website!
Good luck
Hi!
After buying new lappy Satellite A200 I got disappointed seeing this SLOW top-bar with options to set brightness, zooming utilitly and so on. Therefore I decided to update whole packet of TOSHIBA software and installed "Value package" form Toshiba America site (better downloading transfers).
Since then top bar is reacting very fast but notification given by pressing [Fn] key + e.g. F6 has gone! I cannot set brightness using my fav. FN combinations.
May you give me some clue what could be wrong?
Thank's in advance,
Greetings.
Hello
The same notebook here! You are absolutely right. With ?factory settings? those flash card move very slow. This is solved with latest VAP version. Before you install new version remove the old one from the system.
One more thing: please use downloads from European site only if you have a European notebook model. I agree with you that download is pretty slow but we do not have other choice.
When you download VAP be sure you install the right version (no button model, 3 button model or 6 button model).
Hi,
How can I run Toshiba Face Recognition System on my Satellite A200?
The only problem with that software is the program do not see my cam.
I mean...it see the cam but when I try to register new face in system then I can read something like "The webcam is currently in use or there is problem with hardware".
So I turn off toshiba webcam utility but nothing changed.
The webcam itselfs is running correctly. Its Chicony webcam such as in toshiba's A300 series even the driver is the same (date, time, number, series)
So if someone know what can be wrong please answer..
Thanks
Bye
Hi
I have checked download page for your Satellite notebook and face recognition tool is not available so I presume you have downloaded it for some other notebook model.
This is not so important and I think it should work anyway.
I have older Satellite P200 and it was also delivered without face recognition tool. I have installed it anyway and it works perfectly. My notebook hast ?factory settings? and camera Assistant software is OFF.
Is your notebook installed with recovery image too?
Try to remove preinstalled face recognition software and remove web cam from device manager, restart your notebook and try to install it again. it works on my notebook and I don't see any reason why it should not works on your too.
On this forum many people asked if this software can work on older notebook models and many people have confirmed it runs well.
Sensor panel with two regimes has 3 buttons to open some applications.
I've coordinated these buttons with some applications... But now I need to set other applications.
This function appeared to be so useful!!!
I tried to find this information in manual for my Toshiba Satellite A200-10x, but there were not such info.
I'm not really good in computers, please help me. I'll appreciate it.
If you want to configure the Toshiba media buttons with other applications then you should take a look into the control panel.
There look for software called Toshiba Controls Utility or similar?
This program controls the buttons and there you should be abele to set the different settings.
Good luck
Hello,
I am using a Toshiba Satellite A200-AH9 Part #PSAE0C-AH908C with the pre-installed version of Windows Vista. I have moved since purchasing this laptop, and the recovery disk I made after purchasing it has gone missing! I called Toshiba, however it is approx. 50$ to replace the recovery CD from them. Does anybody have one they could send me an image of? I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Hi,
I have a Satellite A200-1ZF with Vista installed originally.
I removed Vista and install XP. And then installed all drivers and almost everything is working but those keys (power, www, mediaplayer, play, stop, back, next) on the upside of notebook don't work. :/
Only power work properly ...sometimes www and mediaplayer, but rest of it doesn,t work at all.
I have Windows Media Player 9 series. I don't know if it is problem with my drivers or windows media version or something else..
please help..
Hi
Satellite A200-1ZF belongs to the PSAE6E series.
Choose this series in the Toshiba European driver download form.
There you will find a XP BIOS. If you are using Win XP on this notebook then you have to update the BIOS to the XP version!
Furthermore you have to install the Toshiba Controls v. 2.48.2.2C.
This tool is needed to get the Toshiba Media buttons working!

Hi all,
I am looking for TOSHIBA Common Modules for my laptop. I didn't find them in the drivers download homepage.
I have Satellite A200 1M5 (PSAE0) and xp as an operating system.I will be more thankful if you guide me how to download them.
one more thing while I am trying to upgrade my Bios under windows xp I am getting this error message "
The new Bios image is the same as the current system Bios,so the Bios will not be changed" so what do think is the problem in this respect.

Hi
The Common Modules are not available for the Satellite A200 (PSAE0) series.
I don?t know why you need this tool for the A200 PSAE0 but everything else should work without the installation of Common Modules
Hello there,
I've been tweaking too much with services and other stuff on my windows vista 32bit, Toshiba Sattelite A-200. I can't recall at which point the yellow ! appeared under the storage controllers in the device manager, near TOSHIBA RAID, and stating error code 10.
I've downloaded and installed a more recent driver which DriverMax helped me find, but the error is still there. Under my device manager I've got also Microsoft iSCSI Initiatior and MagicISO SCSI Host Controller (which I think I've removed once to be sure it's not conflicting with the raid).
While I'm taking the opportunity to solve the problem, can someone also let me know if my computer is raid setup or not, and why if not do I need the TOSHIBA RAID installed and functioning? I can't detect any noticeable problem and computer is running pretty slick...
Will appreciate all any knowledge from you whiz out there!
Thanks.
> I can't recall at which point the yellow ! appeared under the storage controllers in the device manager, near TOSHIBA RAID, and stating error code 10
As far as I know the Satellite A200 does not support RAID controller.
The notebook supports SATA controller and therefore you need a SATA driver instead of RAID driver.
The SATA driver is a part of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
Here are two nice Toshiba FAQ how to include or install the SATA driver
+How to integrate the AHCI driver during Windows XP setup+

+How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver in a Windows XP Setup CD+

Hi there,
Im having problems with my Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 Touchpad. It was fine until when i was walking down the stairs and accidently dropped it. The hard drive had to be replaced and the touchpad wansn't working. I've tried to diagnose the problem by checking device manager updating driver's etc. And ive narrowed it down to 2 causes: Damaged motherboard OR the touchpad wire has come loose/off. So as im really good with computers and very good with laptop's i need to disassemble my Laptop to get to the touchpad wire and check it out first. And then i will know if it is the touchpad or the motherboard. And now I have never disassembled a laptop before i have no idea what the process is especially for my medel which i cannot find guides for as it is not a very recent one. Could someone please give instructions on how to disassemble it? I will leave model and other info. about it at the end of this post. I would appreciate links to a guide etc or just simple easy instruction and pictures would be helpful.
Thank you ever so much for reading this wall of text and Thank you if you decide to help me out
Come on Tech Forums Let's see how good you are
Model Name: Satellite Pro A200
Model Number: PSAE1E-00Q002EN
Dropping it could have damaged the touchpad itself. Not just the wires.
If it is still under warranty, do not open it. RMA it to Toshiba.
After a complete cleaning the fan and replacing the thermal grease I noticed that when the computer starts the fan is stopped for some minutes.
It starts but priodically stops again. Is it normal this situation???
Sometimes even the temperature goes up, the fan keeps stopped. I checked if the fan stacks but it seems to rotate freely (not have the symptom of stack shaft)!!!
Keep in your mind that the OS is Windows 7 installed long time ago. Before the cleaning and replascing the thermal grease, the computer hanged usually within 15 minutes terminatting with a BSOD. Note that HDD is checked for bad sectors and now is in fine condition after a regeneration (with HDD Reganerator)!
Is there any hypothetic case the OS to do not control the fan correctly???
What is your experience about this symptoms???
Anybody can help please????
Hi
as i understand the toshiba common module and toshiba value added logical device are the same thing . and i tried to google both of them to download it for my Satellite A200-211 which runs on windows 7 ultimate 64 bits , but i CAN NOT find it at all .
Can any one help to get it ? thanks
Hi
>toshiba common module and toshiba value added logical device are the same thing
No, The common modules are designed for Win XP only and this software is used by other Toshiba software and tools? so in many cases the Common Modules needs to be installed in order to get other Toshiba software working using Win XP OS.
The VAP (Value added package) is released for Win 7 and Vista.
It controls the FN buttons and Multimedia buttons and adds a Toshiba extension to Win 7 power management.
If you use Win 7 then you have to install VAP.
Check VAP Win 7 64bit which is released for other Toshiba notebook series like L500, A660 or newer notebook models
Hey, I have recently got a problem with my Toshiba laptop where after the "Toshiba leading inovation" screen shows, my laptop screen goes black.
I have manged to find out the problem is one of my hard drives, and I am asuming it is the C drive as the laptop cant start up. If anyone has any information about what may be wrong, ways to fix it, and the possible expenses involed in fixing it, can you please help me?
also.. what are the chanced I will lose my files ect. off the drive?

Hi
Normally after the Toshiba screen the notebook tries to boot from HDD.
It could be a HDD issue but I?m not sure. Have you checked the BIOS if the HDD is recognized properly?
What happens if you load the default settings in BIOS?
Did you test and external monitor?
Last but not least it would be interesting to know if you can boot from another device, for example CD/DVD drive.
First off I am new to this site, so if this is in the wrong forum, Im sorry.
I own a Toshiba Satellite A200 TR6 Laptop and it is my main computer. For a wile now I have been trying to get some games working (Age of Empires 3). The game requires a 64mb video card, and I currently have a 32mb. The game does not work properly because of the video card.
These are the things I know:
1) You cannot (usually) manually update a laptop video card.
2) It is possible to change the memory through the BIOS, but my BIOS wont let me do this. I have looked into updating my BIOS with no success.
I currently have - Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family, as my display adapter (dont know if this helps)
I downloaded - Intel® 82Q963 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) onto my computer and tried to install the driver, but there were no changes.
Any suggestions to solve this problem and get this game running well would be awsome.
Thanks
Urgently there is a problem on Toshiba EU Drivers website which does not listing drivers. Does any one have this issue too ? I have tried on other computers too. There should be problem I wanted to report
I hope it resoves a.s.a.p
Yes, I cannot get the driver list too.
Hopefully it?s just a temporal issue.
The pre-installed and also latest downloadable display driver isn't up-to-date.
Display driver version: 8.383.1.1-070621a-048565C
ATI release every month new Catalyst drivers, with improved performance and more functions.. this month release ATI version 7.9!
For example: I can't play the game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (Demo) - this game exit with display driver error messages.. (ATI release a hotfix, but not for the mobility parts HD2400/HD2600!)
When release finally Toshiba new display drivers?
(sorry for my english) ;-)
Hi there,
I am not sure when they will be release them, but I can give you a good adress which is an excellent resource for the latest available ATI/Nvidia drivers and they also work on mobile platforms:
http://www.omegadrivers.net/
Just try it out and check if they work for you. :)
Would appreciate some feedback if you got some success.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 01H, PSAE4C which has a newly installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, i am missing a driver in my device manager under mass storage controller, my sd card isn't working so i'm presuming that is why. Can anybody direct me to this driver? I can't seem to find anything on the toshiba website for this particular laptop model. I've tried windows updates and done google searches but haven't had any luck yet!
More repliesI would like to ask if there is any importance using the display drivers from Toshiba, or the latest official Nvidia drivers are better?
(Having Nvidia Geforce Go 7300) (Satellite A200-14D)
Some people here in the forum have suggested that the Toshiba display drivers are a little bit modified.
The Toshiba display driver supports an overheating protection which controls the graphic card performance and the internal temperature.
It?s a simply fact that the temperature increases while the graphic card and another devices are running with full performance.
In such case the graphic driver decreases the graphic card performance if the temperature reaches the critical level.
In my knowledge the original NVIDIA or ATI graphic drivers don?t support such function.
Therefore it?s advisable to use the Toshiba graphic drivers. Of course you can also use the display drivers from other sources but only at your own risk!

My Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 wont boot when the power cable is plugged in, unless it's in safe mode. If it's running on battery, it will boot fine normally, but as soon as I plug the power cable in, it freezes. While on battery power, I've uninstalled EVERYTHING. If I boot windows on battery power, then plug it in, it's fine if I dont do anything, but as soon as I do something like open IE, try to shut it down, etc, it freezes.
So to summarise, everything has been uninstalled, safe mode and battery works fine, but plugged in freezes the laptop.
Anyone got any ideas?
I have a Sattelite Pro A200 lap top and would like to install 64bit Vista.
As i've read you can use the 32bit key to install the 62bit version. Is there a way to get the "Product Recovery Disk" in a 64bit version.
Or to download it from somewhere
Hi
What OS was preinstalled on your notebook?
If it was a 32bit Vista OS then you can get ?only? a 32bit Vista Toshiba recovery CD.
If you want to install another OS, no matter if it?s XP or Vista 64bit, you have to buy the OS from Microsoft.
PS: As far as I know the serial key used for the Vista 32bit OS is only a OEM key and it does not work with other operating systems!
Dear Everybody,
I haven't had any alerts by Toshiba Tempro version 1.2 mounted on my Toshiba A200-1N9 laptop for good couple of months now.
Actually the last alert came in January this year. Up till then they had been quite frequent.
I bought my Toshiba in February 2008 and am wondering if the Tempro programme was only to be 'active' for a year?
Could anybody help/explain. I'm fairly basic in computer skills but not a dumb, computer illiterate.
Thanks.
Jacek.
Hi
The Tempro is a Toshiba tool and it?s always active.
Tempro notifies you about new available updates on the Toshiba page.
Usually you would receive always a message if one of the drivers or tools would be updated and released on the Toshiba European driver page.
The A200 is not the newest notebook model and I think there are no new updates for this series and therefore you didn?t receive any messages ;)
I think this is a plausible explanation?
Hi all, I'm new here so introductions first The name's Chris from the UK.
A friend has a problem with his laptop and he's left it to me to solve...
What happens
When the computer starts up it loads as normal and gets to the windows loading screen (black screen with progress bar and windows logo) however the progress bar does not appear and after around 20 seconds the computer blinks the blue screen error and restarts...
Here's another issue!
He can't find any of his discs when he bought the computer just to check if he has any form of recovery and he never received a vista disk. The product key is still visible under the laptop...
Ideally he'd like the computer restored to it's original state because he has never backed up any photos and everything for the last 4/5 years has been loaded onto his phone (itunes) In saying that... I've told him it could be a harddrive failure and he may lose everything and he's kind of accepted that as a last resort..
So, what do you think it will be? is it fixable? how can I reset everything without a CD?
thanks for your time all!
Chris
Hi there,
if you are going to reformat and lose everything, a standard windows disc may all that need to be required, after all the laptop makers, have all drivers and their recovery software on their website, if you haven't got the original discs and you don't want to pay out for their copies from the company.
you could also try and error check the hard drive, if you can link it up to another computer as a slave, see if you can fix any problems that their might be on it.
Not sure they what you after but they are options around it,
Hello eveyone, in the last days i install Vista home premium 64 bits on my Satellite A200-1DY PSAE3E and unfortunatelly I have lost the Toshiba programs.
For me it was very useful toshiba disk creator, and i like donwnload it if its possible, but i cant find this great program.
Can anyone tell me where i can download this?
Thanks
You cannot download this additional software.
The Disk Creator can be installed only using the Toshiba recovery CD. The software is a part of the image on the Recovery.
The point is that you have purchased the notebook with an OEM licenses and such additional software can be used only in connection with the Toshiba image.
Unfortunately but a full version cannot be downloaded. If you wan to use it on a different OS you will have to purchase it

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 running 32 bit Vista, and I used to be able to scroll with the touchpad, however, it doesn't seem to be working any longer. Also, in the synaptics pointing device program, I am unable to configure actions to the left and right buttons. I checked apoint.exe and it seems to be working fine...does anyone know what may be causing this or how to fix it? What should I be reinstalling? It's very annoying and I'd like to be able to scroll without holding the button and dragging. Thanks
It could be a hardware issue.
I had similar problems w/ notebook - mousepad had to be replaced.
You could try to un-install all drivers in Device Manager then re-boot. Vista will re-install. Also make sure to go to OEM site and get updated driver - if available.
Note that you will lose mouse function completely after un-install. Have USB mouse or b/c familar with CTRL-ALT-DEL that will get you to screen so you can use arrow keys to restart system

Just go to their download page and get jiggy with it.
atm their download server(s) are pretty slow, so don't
expect proper download speeds. But, nevertheless, we have
finally won. Thanks Toshiba.

Although, no NVIDIA drivers yet, only Intel. grrrrrrr!
And it would be nice if we could get all of the software
and the utilities that are available for vista (ulead

Thanks for the notice?
I found out that if the XP graphic drivers are missing then you can find and download it from Toshiba Canada site!!!
Hi.
Have ordered a Seagate Momentus 7200.02 200GB SATA 300 7200RPM 16MB 2.5" for my Satellite Pro A200GE-26P. The slow drive toshiba ships with this laptop is just not fast enough so it's being replaced.
My question is this: Can I use the DVD recovery disc that came with my laptop to reinstall Vista and all the Toshiba drivers onto this new drive?
If not - how do I do it?
If I can do it - could you give me a check list of things to do?
Are there some drivers that I need to get that wont be on the recovery disc?
I am asking this because, I know how to do this on a PC with the Original OS Disc's but I was horrified when my laptop was delivered and no original OS disc's - I think this is very poor so any help would be gratefully accepted.
Thank you in advance,
Kenny.
Hi there,
you must not worry about that whole procedure, just install the HDD, put the recovery CD in your CD/DVD drive, press F12 and boot with your CD drive or just press "C" (which automatically boots the inserted CD).
The recovery is not bounded to a specific HDD, it sets automatically the partition size and installs EVERTHING on your HDD just like a pre-installed OS shipped directly from the factory. You don?t need some additional drivers or software, the only thing you must do is to copy your personal data to the system drive and customize your windows.
Thats the intention of a recovery media: put it in and it makes everything by itself.
Thats all. :)
Cheers
Hi,
I was using Toshiba Button Controls (play/pause, stop, back/forward buttons) with Winamp and was perfect (but the FN+f2,f5,f6,f7,f8 and f9 were not working but i didn't mind) on my Satelitte A200.
But two days ago i have updated the BIOS to the newest version and the FN command started to work but the play, stop and b/f buttons are not working anymore (tried with Media Player too).
I have reinstalled the control drivers and is the same thing.
Do you have any idea how could i solve this problem?
Thx
Hello
Have you only reinstalled the Toshiba controls driver or controls software too?
I think you should try to reinstall both applications.
So remove both applications in Add or Remove programs. After this restart the notebook and use CCleaner to remove still existing files from these programs and restart the notebook again.
Then install the Controls driver first and then Controls software.
Usually the driver must always been installed first.
Check this!!

If you are unable to get them from Toshiba ( I am sure you must be able to if you persist, maybe even chatting with one of their service techs) you could try the free site www.driverguide.com You must register to use the site but it is free.
good luck.

I have an A200-1AI (PSAECE) running Windows 7 64-Bit Ultimate with 3Gb RAM and a TEAC DV-W28ECT Combi-Drive...
Everytime I try to create a DVD/CD or anytype of media using Disc Creator I get 6 or so Error messages :-
Unexpected Error Occured.
32007C-26-00000001
This error message appears 6 times when I run the software and select either Audio or Data option.
Then the normal file transfer window associated with the software followed by 6 more of the same error messages, and the software FAILS to burn anything..... When the software is closed it does so with 6 more error messages before closing...
The laptop came installed with Vista 32-Bit and I formatted the computer before installing Windows 7 64-Bit as a clean install....
No problems were encountered at anytime during this process, infact the laptop has been better than ever.... until now :)
I have previously had Roxio 10 installed as my burning software but I just couldn't get on with it so took it off in favour of Toshiba Disc Creator (As its FREE!!!)
Also Media Player and Windows itself burns CDs ok....
I can provide more info if required....
Hi mate
May I ask you where did you get the Toshiba Disk Creator for the Win 7 64bit OS?
I checked the Toshiba European driver page and there is nothing in the Satellite A200 area.
In my opinion the error message appears because you are using software which is not compatible with the installed Win 7.
I have upgraded Toshiba Satellite A200-1AE from Vista Home to Vista Enterprise, but now I can't find TOSHIBA Disc Creator and DVD MovieFactory for TOSHIBA software.
Any idea how to get these software?
Thanks, Bojan
It seems your Vista upgrade has overwritten the previous settings and therefore the applications like TOSHIBA Disc Creator and DVD Movie Factory disappeared?
Did you search everywhere???
I had Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed on my Satellite A200.
I wasn't satisfied so i changed it to Vista Business. Where i can find programs as in the topic?
Toshiba Disc Creator & Ulead DVD MovieWriter for TOSHIBA

Hi Lukasz
Sorry for this bad news but this is not possible.
The single programs mentioned in your post above are only a part of the Toshiba image.
This image can be found on the Toshiba recovery CD.
This additional software is not a Toshiba own software but it belongs to different software developing companies and it's not possible to download it from the Toshiba page.
Best regards
I want to run Toshiba Power Saver on my laptop.
I have a Toshiba Satellite --T2450-- A200, running windows XP and I really badly want to run the program.
I need massive help from anyone/everyone hehe.
I cannot find the program anywhere.
So could someone please find me a link that I can use to download it?
I would greatly appreciate this! Thank you!
On the Toshiba European driver page in ARCHIVE area you can find BIOS and Utilities for this oldie.
But unfortunately, there are NO XP drivers or any Utilities for this stone-age notebook.
Nothing to do buddy?.
Hi There,
I have a friends Toshiba Satellite A200 that when starting does not get past the post, you get the screen "In Touch with Tomorrow Toshiba" Press F2 System Utilities, or F12 for boot menu. The blue bar get about 3/4 of the way accross then it reboots. Even if you press F2 or F12 you get the same outcome.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Brett
Hi,
it looks like a Bios corrupted and need to reflashed. The problem is that you need dos-based bios and floppy disk to reflash it. On the Toshiba driver page, there is only Win -based one.
Note, I just suppose that is Bios trouble maker but it can be mobo related issue itself.
Anyway, you should contact the service center, it's not impossible to solve such issues in this virtual forum
Hi everyone, and my apologies if a similar msg was posted before.
My friend has a Toshiba Satellite A200-AH3, 1GB ram, TSST TS-L632D slim 8x DVD+/-RW drive.
I want to change it from Windows xp to Win7.

Toshiba Satellite A200 SKU PSAF6A-02Q01N Synaptics Touch pad issues, scroll doesn't work.
Operating system Win7 x64, re-formatted and upgraded from Vista x32, after having initial problems installing drivers and getting everything to work smoothly (for at least 2 months now), i was successful. Today out of the blue the scroll on the touch pad stopped working.
I read on some forums what to do, most said try uninstalling the driver using CCleaner and reinstall.
Tried to uninstall and re-install driver from Aus Support > Drivers, did this but got error, (something about) not recognising the OS.
I went to the Synaptics website found a driver which was recognised, installed it but not really wanting to restart the pc before i get some advice first. As there is a warning about specific drivers for specific Manufacturers and Models..
Help required, please.
Hi,
Uninstall the existing touchpad driver and install this one:

Recently, it has been already discussed about the touchpad malfunction in this thread. But unfortunately, it didn't help him

Hello
Can you find drivers on Toshiba download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp ?
All old Satellite A200 are listed in ARCHIVE so under product type choose option archive.
Can you find anything?
Hi!
I'm from Portugal and I've recently bought a toshiba A200-221. For starting, I'm trying do remove Vista and install XP.
After I install XP, where can I get all of the A200-221 drivers?
Thanks friends!
Hi
All you need you can find on Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads. Your notebook belongs to PSAE3E models.
Please use this part number to choose the right model and get the right drivers.
I have an A200-1AH (PSAE6E). I have just looked up the driver support page, and I couldn't see the A200 series in the list. Where did they go?
Did Toshiba stop supporting A200?
If so, how can I find the A200 drivers?
Satellite A200 is old notebook model and it is probably now in ARCIVE.
You didn?t come across this idea and try to search there?
Please under product type option choose archive and check if you can find it there.
I'm installing XP on a Satellite A200-1M8 and wondering if it's a must for ALL the drivers to be installed...
To clear this out,: I'm going to use this system for a specific application where wireless lan or SD card reader or build in camera are not going to be used.
My question is : In order for the system to work properly, beside respecting the correct driver installation order, is it obligatory to have ALL the drivers installed ?
Hi,
theoretically you don?t need drivers like wireless lan, sd-card or camera. And I don?t think thats REALLY necessary unless you use these components.
But I am not sure, it not installing these drivers does affect the systemperformance. So I suggest you to install them and leave the stuff which you don?t need or disable it in the device manager... I know, logically it?s the same not installing them but does it really matter? And if you perhaps need one day one of these components then just enable it and it?s good :)
Nice weekend and good luck

- ATI driver I've downloaded from support site works ok, need to know though if I can update it from the ATI web site or this a special driver developed by ATI and Toshiba?
(can't seam to find anywhere tech specs for this computer...)
- dose any one know how to change the size of the Vram ATI card is using, the default size is 512MB
Hi mate,
1. You should use the original toshiba drivers since they were written explicitly for this machine (yes they are special), BUT you can use also drivers from these sites:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
http://www.omegadrivers.net/
2. It?s unfortunately NOT changeable since the amount of VRAM is set by the BIOS and users cannot modify it.
Cheers

More repliesI need all drivers for WXP for my Satellite A200-1HU PSAE3E-01J014AV.
WXP drivers for Satellite A200 are not available at the moment. Check support page from time to time to see if the drivers are added.
Meanwhile you can optimize preinstalled Vista OS. I have done the same and A200 runs well.

or direct: http://rapidshare.com/files/28937251/A200-1CC.rar
there is nearly everything for this laptop but the cardreader is missing... you can download the flash-media driver from the toshiba page. And for the FN-Keys you just download the synaptics driver for vista - should work with XP as well.
Hello!
How can I download drivers for my computer (Satellite A200-10X)? There are not mentioned model.
Hello
On the bottom side there is placed a big label with part number of your notebook. I presume it must be PSAECE. Please go to Toshiba download page and there you will find all you need for Satellite A200 (PSAECE) model.

Hi there,
did you already checked the toshiba driver website? If not already did then do it. You can also try some tools from another A200 because they should fit all. (Except the video drivers: ATI <-> Nvidia).
Here?s the link to the driver website:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
and here?s a link to driver site for video drivers:
www.laptopvideo2go.com
Good luck
I have bought A200-1FL, but I need to install XP, because a I use software that need XP......When could i get all drivers XP? if i won?t get drivers xp i?d have to change of notebook....
Please i need anwser.
Thanks.
You need the answer??? Here is it!
The Satellite A200-1FL seems to belong to the PSAE6 series.
If you need the XP drivers for you notebook you have to search compatible XP drivers for the mentioned series.
On the Toshiba European driver page you will find the XP drivers:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
If some drivers are not available you could try to use the XP drivers from another A200 series!
Note; it could happens that you will be not able to use all notebook functions like i.e ?FN keys? due to the missing or not available Toshiba utilities for XP or due to the not compatible BIOS.
I can't find
Model name: Satellite A200-14d
Model no. PSAECE-004006g3
