Satellite T130-11U lost Bluetooth connection after installing Mobile Broadb

Question: Satellite T130-11U lost Bluetooth connection after installing Mobile Broadb

I recently bought a Satellite T130-11U and established a connection with my Nokia N82, using PC Suite.
Then I installed my Mobile Broadband (TMN operator) and lost the Bluetooth connection.

There must be some way to overcome this "conflict".
Anyone faced the same problem?

Thank you.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Satellite T130-11U lost Bluetooth connection after installing Mobile Broadb

Hi

Maybe this 3rd party application is not compatible and this is the reason why this happens?
But first of all you should check if the Bluetooth is still enabled?

Furthermore you should check if this issue would happen after installation of new BT stack?

Here you can find the new BT stack:

I have a T130 Satellite laptop without Bluetooth.
Is it possible to built in a Bluetooth module or something? I don't want a USB adapter cause I need all the USB ports.
Thank you

Answer:No Bluetooth on Satellite T130 - Can I put internal module?

I could be wrong but all Satellite T130 have Bluetooth build-in! Well, at least that is the case with all T130 sold in Portugal. I would assume that is the case in your country too, but I could be wrong.

If you are using the pre-installed operating system, it is just a matter of configuring it accordingly.

If however, you wiped everything and did a fresh installation of the operating system, then you will need to instal the Bluetooth Stack software from the Driver Section of the Toshiba Support.

I just learned that this is even remotely possible, so I would like to make it work. I'm on a Lumia 950XL (not Insider) and would love for the Mobile hotspot to automatically turn on when my phone connects to my car via Bluetooth. I want it to turn on because I have an iPod Touch in the car (that is always connected via USB to the car) for music playback. I would like that iPod Touch to be able to stream Spotify and use my 950XL's hotspot for the Internet connection. Is this possible?
- My car does not have Bluetooth music streaming, so this is why I have to depend on the iPod because my car does have iPod integration (ugh)

After installing the 3G modem & Wireless manager updates of September 29th, my laptop started having troubles waking up from sleep mode. Most of the times I had to hard-shutdown. I currently solved the issued changing options for sleep mode in control panel, mostly by disabling advanced features (hybrid sleep, usb sleep, network adapters sleep). However I'd like to solve the issue definitely as the current options require a longer time to enter sleep mode.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro T130 running Windows 7 64 bit.

Thanks for helping :-)

Have you installed updates recommended by Tempro?
Can you send us which versions you have installed?

I cannot stop the Dial up Connection Box running.I have read all the threads but no luck. If I tick Never dial a connection it does exactly that.I have no references to old dial up cons in the IE connections menu.I have a Wanado speedtouch modem that needs logging on each time I power up as the power comes from the USB port.It seems stupid that I need to log in each time as it is supposed to be "always on".Can I change the modem to one that has an external supply so that it is truly always on.

Answer:Dial up connection box keeps coming up with broadb

Re your modem, try dragging the icon into the start up menu in All programs. That way it will connect automatically each time you start your computer. Not sure about your dial up connection box, I will give it some thought.

I used to be able to connect to the Internet on my laptop via my mobile phone and the Bluetooth connection. When I go to the device and device properties now the dialogue box doesn't have the option of connecting to the Internet as it used to. I can still connect using my netbook computer and the same phone so it's obviously not the phone that's the problem. What can be wrong?

Hi! I am a simple guy and I have a simple mobile - a Doro63. That said, the pairing and transfer of data (pictures mainly) between phone and pc worked perfectly, until one day... (was it when I upgraded to 10 or was it when 'Knowhow' (aka 'Techguys') had to do a re-install? Don't ask me.)

Now, the laptop finds, and tells me that it is paired, to the phone - and the phone says it is paired to the laptop. But whenever I try and send a photo across, it ends up by giving me a "transfer incomplete" and a red X.

Vodafone (local) paired successfully with one of their staff phones - and sent over a pic to prove it. So they surmised that it was the laptop: "speak Knowhow." Knowhow says that the code on the laptop is corrupted: "speak Vodafone." Vodafone says that only Acer can send me the un-corrupted code: "speak to Acer" - and, guess what: Acer says that, as I purchased the laptop from Currys,, they offer no support, which is contracted to Knowhow.

Does anyone know how I get the right ruddy code into my ruddy laptop and solve the problem - or is that not the problem at all, but something else?

Thanks for your patience, Guys

Not exactly a computer related question, but technology related. If I get a bluetooth car kit and pair it with my mobile phone, does it automatically reconnect when the phone comes in range or do I have to go through the menus and make a connection each time?

Answer:Question anout Mobile Phone Bluetooth connection

I have a bluetooth mobile and a car that is bluetoothed. Once they are paired together they will automatcally exchange once the car engine is on and the cell phone is in range. The only minor problem I have had is that the cell phone should be live before you start on your car. For some reason it seems to take longer to pair that way round. So, simply, once paired, forever recognised

Hello all,

I'm using this bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Wireless Optical Mouse Black H3S-00003 - Best Buy) and it usually connects fine with my laptop. Sometimes, though, it looses connection seemingly out of nowhere. Then the BT icon disappears completely from Device Manager, the mouse disappears from Devices and Printers (although there is a 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device' listed, it is not the mouse and to the best of my knowledge I have no other BT connections so I'm not sure what that is. Going to properties of that device gives no useful information).

Finally, when I go to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network Connections, there is nothing regarding bluetooth listed.

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

it?s possible to upgrade your machine with a Bluetooth module, because your machine should be BT ready. But I cannot give you a partnumber because I don?t know it.

Maybe it would be better for you to ask a toshiba technician or someone which is a technician.

I have downloaded and installed the BT Monitor driver and it does not change anaything. I have installed the BT stack drivers but it does not work,,,,

Please can anyone can help me?

Answer:Bluetooth lost after Vista SP1 update on Satellite P200

In such situations there are two sides. It will be interesting to know if there is problem if you try to connect some other BT device to your notebook. Try it with your mobile phone if BT is available.
I cannot imagine the BT device doesn?t work properly.

Have you tried to contact Logitech support? Maybe they have solution to this.

Everything you have done is OK but I can imagine that that SP1 in Vista or SP3 in WXP can make some troubles.

Please check the functionality with other BT device and post the results.

hi - i was just playing music on my dell latitude e4300 via bluetooth to a belkin bluetooth receiver connected to stereo.

somehow the connection got dropped - during a phone call on a land line. may be irrelevant.

now, i cannot get bluetooth connection back. there is no bluetooth icon in the system tray.

i cannot find 'bluetooth' devices in start>control panel> devices
--i have 2, and both ought to be there.

i unplugged bluetooth receiver, and had win 7 search for devices to add - no luck.

sure, i can reboot, and everything will probably come back.
but i am hoping for a better answer. i don't want to have to reboot every time the bluetooth connection gets lost.

i searched the web for a little, but only found unrelated posts, or posts with no answer. THANKS!

Answer:Bluetooth connection lost, icon gone from system tray, not in device manager

bluetooth light/icon on laptop, not screen is on; no bt

ok, i rebooted, thinking the bluetooth icon would again be in system tray, with the red in the middle, showing i have bluetooth capability, but that sound is not currently being directed to bluetooth.

no icon.

the dell laptop does have bluetooth icon illuminated on the laptop, just above the function keys - not on the screen at all / not in sys tray.

the bluetooth receiver is on, is working.

'add a device' is not finding this bt thingie.

Hi all - firstly, newbie alert. Just registered. First post. Be gentle....

Bought a T130 off eBay. Worked ok initially with general browsing & stuff.
One day tried to open the Userguide pdf & everything started going VERY slow.
Eventually it opened. Smelt a rat. Started Adobe reader on it's own - VERY slow. I think corrupt Reader.

Try to uninstall - this does not go well.
Everything glacial - eventaully popup saying "management console has stopped working" (or similar). Now I'm worried.

Lots of disk activity - maybe disk is bad, maybe fragemented.
I defrag - it's fine. I run chkdsk - it's slow, but completes (fixed a few minor things - probably bcos I had to power unit off without shutdown).

At one point it won't even boot & forces a shutdown. I think I'm fried, but when I power it up again it boots up ok... WTF???

I've found some other posts & Google searches which suggest OS corruption, & this sounds like the case to me.

But this is a notebook - I don't have Windows 7 install media.
There is no recovery partition setup (that I can see). So how do I reinstall the OS??

Hope someone can help me here.
My first experience with Toshiba laptops has not been pleasant....

thanks
Steve

Answer:Different issues on Satellite T130

Hi

I think the system is corrupt and the OS should be installed again. (as suggested by your own).
You didn?t get any recovery disks because there was an option which would allows you to create an own recovery disk!
Try to boot the notebook again and check if the Toshiba recovery disk creator is installed and if you would be able to create a recovery disk.

If this is not possible, then you will need to order a right recovery disk from here:

But I can deactivate the Wlan / Bluetooth function.

I read the Value Added Package is responsible for that and the flash card utility?
I only found the VAP at the download page.

What can i do? I reinstalled the VAP 2 times and it doesnt work.

Hi

Value Added Package and Flash Card Support Utility needs to be installed in order to get the FN buttons working.
But I think other FN buttons are ok. Right?
Well, this means that you don?t need to reinstall these tools. You need to install the 3G driver.

Furthermore you have to press the FN + F8 several times in order to disable this?

Answer:Satellite Pro T130-14M - Will not boot up

Hey,

To be honest I don?t think there is much what you can do if you can?t boot in safe mode and even system rollback doesn?t work too?

So I think you have to reinstall Windows. That means you can use the HDDrecovery feature from Toshiba to do this. It will only delete the first partition but it?s good that you have done a backup because it should always be done.

Regarding the HDD recovery you should follow the instructions here:

Answer:Satellite T130-16w does not charge always

Hi

It?s difficult to say if it?s just an battery issue or maybe some more serious hardware problems.

But I think the battery should be checked at first step.
You should also remove the battery and should run the notebook connected only to AC adaptor.
The unit should work properly without inserted battery.

The point is that there are no many other option which needs a check? if its no the battery or AC adaptor problem, then probably the motherboard is affected?

Your system will run fast as new one.

Answer:How to recover my Satellite T130-13L?

Hello

As far as I know your notebook was delivered with HDD recovery image. That means it is saved on second HDD partition. If you want to have original state again (factory state), install OS again using HDD recovery procedure. How to do this you can read in http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

In the whole story I see one problem. Notebook is delivered with HDD recovery and I believe it was Win7 64bit only. When one other OS version is installed you will lose HDD recovery option and OS can be installed with recovery DVD only.

So my questions to you:
Can you start HDD recovery procedure as described in Toshiba document?
Have you created recovery DVD following instruction described in user?s manuals?

Answer:Satellite T130 N - Touch pad

> My t130 N, touch pad, left and right click buttons stopped working. external mouse works fine

Check if you haven't disabled it yourself. I don't know much about your model, but usually you can do it with fn+f9. On my laptop, there is a touchpad button to enable/disable, so check at yours. Remove usb mouse to check if it works, as I know if you conncet the external mouse the touchpad disables.
Update Touchpad drivers:

If still doesn't work, restore the factory settings. Otherwise, it can be hardware malfunction

HI Guys,

Im seriously freaking out here.
I re installed windows 7 using the f8 key system.
Worked great. Had a clean laptop. Purchased the new office 2013 and installed just great.
Installed WinRar and AVG.

That about as far as i got before it started mis behaving.

So it started to run very slow.
I shut everything down, opened task manager and the CPU was running at 80%- 100% continuously.

Nothing was opened. I even checked in the processes and nothing was showing that high usage.
No device connect or programs running. I even uninstalled AVG.

Then i thought lets give it a restart.
It shut down but never turned back on.
Now i cannot turn it on.

I removed the battery and connected the power and still no luck.
Im out of my warranty so i cannot send it to toshiba.

Do you think the ram got fried?

Im open to any suggestions. Please

Answer:Cannot turn on Satellite T130-13M

Hi

It could be possible that your RAM is faulty.
But in your case it could be any hardware part which malfunctions.
However, the RAM module is the first part which needs to be checked.
You could remove it and could check how the notebook would act using just one module.

The best case would be the usage of new, goo tested RAM modules.
But this is just my personal opinion?

Hi

I recently installed HideMyAss on my PC with no apparent problems, and once I’d ascertained it was doing as I’d expected, I then shut my PC down. However, later that same day I switched the computer back on, and was unable to gain access to the Internet (my web browser is Firefox and my OS is Windows XP).

I had earlier ascertained that since I’d installed HMA, 2 new local area connections had appeared in the ‘Network Connections’ area. LAC5 appeared to be inoperative, but HMA appeared to be using the new LAC4. However, when I switched back on, the Network Connection panel stated that the network cable for LAC5 was unplugged. Upon opening up the HMA application via the icon in the taskbar, a message in the Dashboard appeared, stating that the program configuration and server list did not load correctly, etc. etc.

The funny thing is that my internet radio and IPad (upon which I haven’t set up HMA) were both working with no problems whatsoever, presumably because they were using my original local area connection, i.e. the one which existed before I installed HMA).

Following advice from HMA technical support, I removed HMA from my PC, and the two new LACs have been removed, but I’m now in a worse situation than I was before, i.e. I still can’t access the Net from my PC (but can do so via my Ipad & internet radio). Good morning every body

I have formatted the harddrive of my Toshiba Satellite A100-712 notebook and dowloaded the sound and BT drivers from this amazing site.

But still there is a problem.
In the device manager there are yellow signs with the bt and realtek drivers. I don't know what to do?

Please, can you list the steps for proper installation for these drivers?
bcz i'll be crazy ... :(
thank you

Answer:Problem in installing Sound and Bluetooth drivers in a Satellite A100-712

Hi

First question: Why you don?t use the Toshiba recovery CD?
This CD contains all drivers, tools and utilities and you will not need to install all the drivers separately?

Secondly: On the Toshiba driver page you should find the ?installation instruction document??
Simply follow the installation order mentioned in the txt file and everything should works!!!

PS: Be sure that you use the right drivers?. I think the A100-712 is apart from the PSAA9E series?

My 130 just turns itself off without warning because of low power but it shows between 40 and 50% power remaining bfore it turns off. What is wrong with it?

Also there is no warning about low power, it just turns off. Any ideas?

Hi

That?s really strange and I never heard about this problem...

Are you using an original Toshiba AC/DC adaptor?
Have you checked the Toshiba website for BIOS updates?
Have you tested the same with Toshiba preinstalled OS?

Help me!

I have a Satellte T130, yesterday I run an unknown software and after that the BIOS has been changed. Now FN+F* funtion can not work, so I can not use projector. I have already run BIOS update version bios-20100531110112 but it still not work.

Some body who know please help me?
Thanks!

Answer:Satellite T130 - FN+F* function not work

Hey,

Which unknown software you started exactly?

I assume nothing is changed in BIOS because it doesn?t control FN keys. Therefore you have to reinstall Toshiba Value Added Package. It contains the driver for FN key combinations.

You can download it here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers

Check also the forum for similar threads, you will find enough!!!

As far as I know this notebook model should be delivered with HDD recovery image and how it works should be described in User?s manuals document. Have you checked this document about recovering?

Try please to install Win 7 following this document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

I bought a new Satellite T130 three days ago. It was pre-installed with Windows 7 Professional, but recklessly I enabled the iPv6 and the problem started.

The machine requested for a restart, but it failed to start and instead, ask to opt either have a repairing process or normally start it. The repair process has failed, though I repeated it for several times, and when try choose a normal start option, it's back to those two options. Then, I decide to use my Recovery Disk that came with the machine. It did well, and the computer worked again, but it turned out to be a Windows XP. I didn't hate XP, but I really want to return to Windows 7.

How can I do that? Can I have a Windows 7 again?

Please, help me...

Answer:Satellite T130 - How to restore Windows 7?

The Disc in the Box will be Windows XP, not Win7. You need to create the Win7 recovery discs yourself from the Icon on the Desktop.

The Win7 installation may still be on the HDD, try running Recovery by holding down the Zero Key during Power On.

If Win7 is gone, you will need to order a Recovery Disc from Toshiba.

Hi,

Windows 7 was not working properly and I tried to reinstall it. However, after installation, it boots but it does not complete the process and the pc keeps shutting down before I can use it. I can now use it just because I have installed Ubuntu and I can access all the other partitions from Ubuntu, also the one containing the HDD Recovery folder.

Can I reinstall windows starting from this folder?

I see that someone else already managed, by using the swm files as the link below shows

Answer:Satellite T130 - How to start HDD recovery?

Hello

Are you still able to access the boot menu of Windows or has Ubuntu installation deleted the Windows boot loader?
If yes you are not able to start HDD recovery anymore?

Why? It?s very easy: Even you are able to access the files you can start this feature because therefore the original Windows boot menu of preinstalled Windows system is necessary to start the HDD recovery feature.
So in this case you need the recovery medium (USB stick) that you created using Toshiba recovery media creator.

Of course it could work without installed Windows but there is no guarantee for that.

But why I?m telling you this information? You can find everything in your user manual ;)

Hello,

I recently purchased a Satellite T130-10U and decided to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit in Portuguese on the machine.

I was able to install most drivers via the standard Windows 7 disc and a few from the Toshiba Driver Downloads; however there is still one outstanding device unaccounted for.

I am referring to one identified as ACPI\QCI0701 as its Hardware ID. I am unable to identify what this device is in order to apply the necessary driver.

I have searched both this forum and Google it too but was not able to find any useful information.

Is anyone able to help me identify this device?

Many thanks and best regards,

Answer:ACPI\QCI0701 on Satellite T130?

Upon further searching it seems that this device should be identified as "*Generic IO & Memory Access*" from the "*QIOMem Disk*" but cannot find that driver available on the list of drivers supplied by the Toshiba Support site.

Any ideas where I can get it?

+DESCRIPTION="Generic IO & Memory Access"+
+WDM_INSTALL_DISK="QIOMem Disk"+
+SERVICE_DISPLAY_NAME="Generic IO & Memory Access"+

Hi

You have to use an bootable USB flash stick.
Then you could try to choose the USB as booting device pressing the F12 while powering up the unit. Then an menu with bootable devices should appear.
Then you could use the arrow buttons in order to choose the USB as booting source.

I just got a new Toshiba Satellite T130-30 because my last notebook got could'nt get better after a heavy virusattack.

Brand new from the store I already had problems to begin with. Windows did not want to install and kept on restarting. This luckily went over. Now the major issue is that the computer is incredible slow, even more than my previous old virusinfected comp. I use the processorspeedometer, and its almost always on 100% although I use no programs. I have hardly installed anything yet, mostly because its so slow and the few programs I have (like internet or mediaplayer) keep on crashing all the time. It cannot be like this, so far its the worst computer I have ever had.

And I am not very technical so its really difficult to solve this. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Please answer quick because I am close to throwing this comp against the wall. Extremely annoying that it is so slow and lags and stops all the time. desperate here people.. :)

SM

Answer:Satellite T130-30 - Is inrecdible slow

Hi martin_henna,

I can?t imagine that your Satellite T130 is so slow. I bought the same notebook for my girlfriend and she is very satisfied with this notebook. She wanted a small notebook but it should be fast. In my opinion the Satellite T130 is the best choice for that.

Anyway, I think there is something wrong with your software configuration. Did you get a error message during recovery installation?

In your case I would try reinstalling Windows again. Maybe something has muddled up the registry or some Windows files. You can solve it if you reinstall Windows. Therefore you can choose the HDD recovery option.
Do you know about this? If not, please check your user manual!

Just bought a refurbished Toshiba Satellite T130 laptop pre-installed with Windows 7, and since we got it, it has had a problem shutting down.

When I press Shut Down, it shuts down ok, all the lights go off as if it just shut down, and then a couple of seconds later, it starts up again.
I can't seem to find the issue here, sometimes it restarts fully into windows, and other times it turns on and hangs without turning on the display etc.

I have tried to update the BIOS, reinstall windows on a second partition, even reinstall every driver from the toshiba website.

It should also be noted that when I put the system to sleep, it puts the PC to sleep and then a couple of seconds later, it restarts, bringing up the good old "an error occurred, would you like to start in save mode, start windows normally" etc.
When entering hibernation mode, it hibernates just find, and then turns back on again...

I've been reading many support forums and none of the solutions worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hello,

This is very disappointing. In my case I have installed windows 8 and I have some problems.

The touchpad is "dead" and the shortcut f?r WLAN cannot be used any more.
Are there any users who have successfully installed windows 8 on this system??

Best regards

Answer:Satellite T130 - need some help after update to Windows 8

You are right. This old piece of hardware is not supported for Win8 and Toshiba doesn't offer any Win8 driver, tool and utility. You must not be disappointed. Toshiba and all other notebook manufacturers cannot offer support for all operating systems, especially for older notebook models.

It can be very problematic to use newest OS on old machine.
As I can see it is fully supported for Win7 64bit so I think it is best OS for this small machine.

Anyway, let?s see if some other owners have some luck with Win8 installation.

Hi folks!

I recently bougth this laptop but I may have a problem. Toshiba promisses a eleven hours battery life but I, with 2 full charges and with Battery Saving mode on, have reached 6 hours max.

Is that normal? Please, who has it, give me your opinion.

Take care

Answer:Satellite T130 - Battery performance only 6 hours

Hey,

It?s really hard to say something about this because everything is depending on the applications what you run, screen brightness, etc.
Here are some good battery tips:
http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9401AZ0001R01.htm

If you have only tried 2 full charges you should try up to 3 times completely charging and discharging.
After this test it again.

If you think something is wrong with your battery, contact your authorized service provider. They can exchange the battery.

I?m quite sure this isn?t mSATA port and this series doesn?t support the mSATA SSD definitely.

Fact is that models belonging to the same series support different hardware specs.
For example: some models were quipped with an: miniPCI 3G module and miniPCI Bluetooth module, and some models supported only the miniPCI WiFi.

Hello.

This is the situation:

I have Toshiba T130 notebook with no DVD drive. After installing Win7, I shrinked D partition by tool in Win7 and used the free space to install Linux with GRUB. Then I shrinked the C partition also by Win7 tool and used the free space to create another one. This however told me something about dynamic disk or something...

But somehow it broke GRUB so I decided to reinstall Linux. But the partitions were somehow broken but I installed Linux on the last partition. Since then I could not boot Windows nor repair it because D partition was actually deleted!
C partition with Win7 seemed intact.

When trying to repair computer and try to fix boot, I got an error 0x090 or something with partition table error. So therefore I deliberately decided to create new partition table using Gparted which wiped off my HDD. Then I set up new partitions: 3x NTFS, (400 MB recovery, Win7 partition and another one) + extended partition containing NTFS partition + ext4 partition + swap.

Then I copied files from hidden (which I had backed up previously) into hidden partition on the laptop HDD + I copied Toshiba recovery folder into 3rd NTFS partition (I had backed up those files immediately after getting the laptop).

Now, I'm stuck with 0xc000000e error when trying to boot. I also followed this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=53952&tstart=15

Answer:Satellite T130 - Toshiba recovery USB creation

Oh mann what are you doing is amazing. ;)
The whole HDD structure is now screwed up. I?m just asking myself why you have done this on this small Satellite T130.
I mean it is all OK what are you doing and you can do what you want with your machine but my personal opinion is that you have wrong notebook for all this.

Satellite T130 is small ultra portable notebook designed to offer maximum of mobility and offer long battery running time when you are out of office or travelling around. So I think most important thing for such notebook is well installed and configured OS that runs stabile and with minimum of power consumption. This notebook doesn?t have optical disc drive and the whole situation is more complicated if the original ?factory settings? are changed.

What you have now on HDD is nothing but ?jungle? and for me it seems pretty confused.
If you have checked ?User?s manuals? document you can find exact explanation what can be done with recovery image saved on second partition and what kind of recovery media can be created.

Recovery image is not designed for usage with third part applications so it can be problematic to create recovery USB disc.
Thread link you posted is best thread about this theme and if this will not help I really don't know what you can except to order original Toshiba recovery DVD and make clean OS installation to get ?factory settings? again.

Hi,

I am trying to show my Toshiba Satellite T130 display on my Toshiba 32" LCD TV, model 32BV702B, using an HDMI cable. The laptop recognises the TV and when using duplicate or extended desktop, the builtin laptop display behaves as expected. However, the TV shows "No Signal" when the HDMI input is selected.

We have another laptop with an HDMI output and this setup works fine. On both laptops we use a 1366x768 display.

Does anyone know how I can get this working on the Toshiba laptop?

Thanks.
Ellie.

(P.S. It appears that someone else had a similar problem: [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=205123] . The solution in that case was to use a VGA cable instead of HDMI and the original problem wasn't solved. I'd really like to use my HDMI cable!

Answer:Satellite T130 - HDMI Display not working

Well, the other option is trying to recover the notebook using the HDD recovery or recovery image created with the preinstalled Toshiba recovery creator software.

I read the other thread and the other user did not try this?
At the other hand you could try to set the BIOS to default and save the changes. Be sure that HDMI is enabled there.

Also try this:
Disconnect AC adaptor and battery
Wait some hours (3-4 hours) and then press power button for 30 sec.
Then connect both parts and test the notebook?s HDMI.

Dear Forum,

the inbuilt mic of my Sat Pro T130 15F stopped working all at once a couple of days ago.

It does pick up Static white noise.
But it only reacts to knocking on the spot where it is located next to the built in webcam. It doesn't pick up normal voice nor screaming at it...

Cannot make up any change to Software which could have influenced.

What I've done so far: Deleted Drivers, installed new ones, updated all Toshiba-software and downloaded and run all the stuff suggested to this problem.
And of course it is not muted or leveled down.

Still no cure.
What's next?

Thanks alot in adavance.

Answer:Built in mic stopped working on my Satellite Pro T130

Hmmm? it does a static noise? Sounds a little bit like hardware related issue?
But check the mic settings in control panel -> sound -> recording tab
Here you should see two entries; internal mic and external mic port.
The internal mic should be enabled!

Furthermore the internal mic belongs to the webcam. In webcam assistant software -> settings -> audio tab you could increase the mic volume to max.
Check this?

Dear all,

the integrated webcam on my Satellite T130 isn't working.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and already re-installed the 64bit webcam drivers through this website. Nevertheless, when I click on the webcam application, simply nothing happens - program doesn't open at all or shutdowns instantly. Skype also doesn't recognize a cam. Also, there is no webcam in the device manager (one undetected USB device though) and no cam symbol in the Toshiba quicklaunch ribbon, which is how the camera is started according to the "manual".

Anybody got an idea of what the problem is? Seems like a common problem according to Google, but no suggestions other than reinstalling drivers. Maybe some other application blocking the camera? Firewall settings?

I'd appreciate any support, thanks.

Regards Florian

Answer:Integrated webcam on my Satellite T130 isn't working

>one undetected USB device though

This might be the webcam since the webcam is connected to the internal USB controller on motherboard.

It looks like a webcam driver is not installed properly.
Try the webcam driver released for the satellite t230 or other Satellite series.
The versions are newer?

Furthermore recommend checking the BIOS settings.
In some cases the BIOS contain an webcam option where the webcam can be enabled and disabled.

Hello. I need to format a Satellite Pro T130 device, but the recovery partition has been corrupted, and we do not have the recovery media. I have tried acquiring a Windows 7 ISO file from Microsoft to create a boot drive, but they won't allow me to download anything since the provided windows key belongs to an OEM device. What other options do I have to format the device?

Hi all, I have a problem with my Satellite T130. I have to start the Toshiba HDD Recovery but the computer tell me that there isn't a valid HDD recovery on the PC. Probably this is a my fahter's fault. There is another way to start the recovery?

Thanks

Answer:Satellite T130 - Can't start the Toshiba HDD recovery

Hi buddy,

How do you try to start the HDD recovery procedure?

The complete HDD recovery procedure is described here so please check this article:
http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

If it doesn?t work your only option you have is using the recovery medium. Did you create it as mentioned in user manual?

Hi There,

I just purchased the Satellite T130-02F and after choosing 32bit running system I had the power connected to charge battery up and then started to get "display driver errors" where the screen would flash black and then flash back on. I've checked device manager and driver details, the drive is upto date and as far as I can see is the correct driver. I've searched sites to see if there ar other drivers out there, but its up to date.

I haven't installed anything extra on the computer yet and find I get the error more regularly on the battery rather than power which concerns me. The computer is less than 24hrs old.
Any advice?

Mobile Intel (R) display chip set.
Windows 7 installed 32bit.

Answer:Satellite T130-02F - Display Driver Error

Hi

In your case I would try reinstalling the display driver. You can find the latest version on the Toshiba website:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers

After this make sure that the newest BIOS version is installed. You can download it on the Toshiba website too.

If nothing works your only chance is an authorized service provider. It seems to be a hardware problem and must be checked from professional people.

Right I have upgraded the hard drive to 500GB, added windows ultimate, added the drivers one by one and am happy.
BUT

The touchpad is horrid yet drivers are up to date and the options in the system are cool yet it either freezes or is difficult to use - counteracted by use of a mouse but why does this happen and can it be sorted? I do not get problems using an USB mouse but the touchpad itself is problematic yet before the changes it was okay.

And two more things. MUCH more important: Can I change the CPU? - it is horrible. Thinking Intel i7 or quad core Intel. How so, if so? I would think I could change it. RAM and HDD is upgradable.

Can I upgrade the graphics card? if so, how?
This is much more unlikely to be upgradable but worth a punt at questioning.

Please get back to me, I need to perfect this machine... :P

Answer:Satellite T130-13Q - Touchpad freezes and CPU upgrade

Hi

I don?t understand why you bought this notebook if you want to upgrade everything?

Regarding CPU and graphic card upgrade there are enough threads here in forum. Just use the forum search and both is not possible. You loose the warranty and other CPU?s are not pretested.

Regarding your touchpad: Why is it horrid? If the drivers are up to date you should check the preferences. Maybe you should simply disable tapping function or change the sensibility.

Bye

Would love some help for this, as I only got my laptop a few weeks ago.

I switched it off last night and everything was fine, but when I started it up this morning the power button came on, as did several of the lights on the front of the laptop, but the screen just didnt come on.
I know it's on because of the lights and its making an average noise like when it runs normally.

Please help!! I've tried taking the battey out, starting it up again and all sorts, nothing has worked so far.
And advice would be appreciated.

Answer:Satellite T130 starts and is on but no screen display!?

Hi

Try this common workaround;
Remove the battery, disconnect the AC adaptor
Wait a longer time (2 ? 8 hours) and then connect both parts again.
Then try to power up the unit again.

Good luck

Hi,

The webcam of my T130 stopped working.
When windows start, there is a message saing the camera is not found.
At the same time, Windows tries to install a driver for an "unknown" usb device and... failed.
If I go to the device manager, I can see this unknown device (marked as unknown)

I tried to remove it and refresh the devices, windows tried again to install the driver.
I tried to remove the whole usb stack and got the same result: everything reinstalled properly but still an unknown usb device

I tried to remove the webcam driver then got a fresh copy on Toshiba website and reinstalled it... Without any success.

Then, to eliminate a BIOS or hardware problem, I've booted a Linux system and there, the webcam works.

The webcam used to work few weeks ago. Maybe a Windows update is responsible of that.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Jean-Luc

Answer:Webcam stopped working on my Satellite T130

Hi

Something has muddled up the webcam software/driver.
The unknown USB device seems to be the webcam since the webcam is connected to the USB controller.
Usually new webcam driver installation should solve this therefore it?s really strange that you could not solve this installing the webcam software.

Maybe you should clean the OS and registry using the CCLeaner (freeware)
Would recommend this workaround:
- First of all uninstall the webcam software
- Then clean the OS and registry using the CCleaner
- Now reboot the notebook
- After that install the webcam software which you have downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page. By the way ? would recommend testing the webcam driver released for Sat T230. This is a newer driver version

The Kensington model 33197 (very useful when travelling as it's light and flat and can power/charge several devices simultaneously) has two Toshiba power tips, of which the N3 outputs (according to Kensington tech support) 19V, 6A and 114W.

The Toshiba PSU outputs 19V 3.42A (so 65W).

Is Tip N3 safe to use, or will it fry my T130?

Answer:Satellite T130 - Can I use Kensington power supply?

Hi buddy,

You can use another power supply if it has the same voltage (19V) and the same ampere or higher (3.42A or higher).

So it seems that the Kensington power supply should work properly! :)

On my laptop there's an HDMI port and I would like to use it to connect it to a monitor...
The monitor supports DVI and VGA...
So I thought that buying a VGA to HDMI would do the trick...

Unfortunately when I plug it in it pretty much doesn?t do anything...
I want to use the monitor as my 3rd monitor btw. That?s why I want it on the HDMI port.
The resolution isn?t really much of a problem to me since I don?t want to do anything super graphical on it anyway.

Answer:How to connect external monitor to Satellite T130-C17?

For me it is logic to use HDMI to DVI cable and not to use VGA port.

This with third monitor is a little bit strange to me.
Do you want to connect two external displays/monitors to your Satellite notebook?

Hello,

since I changed my HDD to a SSD and reinstalled Windows 7 with 64bit on it, my system frequently runs into 100% CPU usage caused by the kernel module acpi.sys, as I found out with process explorer and confirmed by recording an ETL-file.

This problem occurs once an hour in average, sometimes after 10 minutes of system operation and sometimes after two hours, regardless which programs are running and if I am actively using the computer or not. When I notice a hanging and see in the process explorer window that 100% kernel cpu are in use, I allways need to save my work (what might take some minutes) and reboot the computer.

I could live with it, but this is quite nasty. My bios is up to date (version 2.70), as well as my other drivers (no errors and no viruses detected). In other forums I read, that such problems might be avoided, when changing the energy saving settings of Windows to something like never go into standby of the SSD, but this doesn't work in my case, as I deactivated all energy saving options in Windows and still have this probelm.

Is there maybe a not official bios update which could fix this problem?
I read in another forum, that an unofficial bios update from Dell fixed a similar problem of a Dell-computer.

Can anybody help me to solve this problem, please?

Answer:Satellite Pro T130-14L: 100% CPU usage of acpi.sys after changing HDD to SSD

Details from Process Explorer:
The thread with TID 160 and start adress:

ACPI.SYS+0x1af7c

suddenly starts using 100% CPU and does not stop until reboot.
Similar problem like in this forum described for a Dell PC:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com...um=w7itproperf

If, in contrast to the Dell-problem, there is no suitable bios-update for me, you might help me if you could tell me how to stop the kernel module (if it starts hanging or even before). Then I at least could avoid the frequent reboots.

Have you an idea to fix this problem ?

Thank's

Answer:Satellite T130 speaker stll very soft

Are you really sure this is a problem?
What kind of sound you want to have on this subnotebook?

It is new notebook model and designed for more mobility and comfortable usage (lightly and pretty slim ? 22 millimetres).
I read some articles online and nowhere is mentioned this is multimedia notebook designed for best video/audio performance.

I have factory reset my Toshiba laptop and now I am experiencing problems.

When I start the laptop I constantly receive the 'preparing your pc for first use' message and it starts, the Toshiba menu starts up too and keeps telling me that it is finishing the installation.

It randomly finishes it and restarts, boots up to the same problem.
I have tried re-installing via usb media as well as hdd.

Answer:Satellite T130-11H Factory Reset - Problems afterwards

It?s really strange.
Do you use recovery installation for the first time?

Set BIOS to default settings and try again. You can also try to format whole HDD before you start recovery installation using your USB stick.

Hello everyone,

before explain my problem, sorry for my bad english, I'm french (lol).

So I bought a Satellite T130-15T in July 2010. I never got a problem with, but yesterday when I wanna stop my computer Windows stopped w/o problems but the computer didn't stop (black screen and my computer never stopped). I push a second time on my "power button" and it was good.

But after this I couldn't boot my laptop (when I pushed on my button, there was no effect). I disconected my battery of my laptop, and reconnect it, after I reconnect my screen became white (my computer was "turned off" and my screen was "turned on", and white). And I couldn't turn on my computer.
Since my battery became empty and my screen is turned off too.

I have 2 questions :

What's the problem?
I need a return for my product to Toshiba?
I have in my laptop data which I need absolutely.
How can I extract it without lose my Toshiba warrantly? Can I go to an "approved repairer" who can extract my hard drive, copy my data and this without lose my warranty?

I expect my message is understandable lol.
Thanks a lot.

Answer:Satellite T130-15T - Can't boot, how to save my data?

Hello

> I need a return for my product to Toshiba?
No, you can?t return your notebook. It?s depending on your country but normally you have only 14 days to return it. After this it?s not possible.

> How can I extract it without lose my Toshiba warrantly? Can I go to an "approved repairer" who can extract my hard drive, copy my data and this without lose my warranty?
If you go to an authorized service provider your notebook can repaired for free due warranty. So you don?t have to pay for repair.

But backup your data is not covered by warranty I think. So either you do it yourself or you ask the guys how much it will cost.

Generally speaking if your notebook doesn?t start (no screen) the HDD and Windows installation is not affected so after repair it should be possible to access all your data and Windows should start again.

Hi all! I'm new here, and I'm having a problem with WinXP SP2. I installed Service Pack 2 on a clean system and now I cannot connect to the internet. I am using a Linksys WUSB11b adapter, and had been able to connect to my WAP _before_ I installed Service Pack 2. Now that SP2 is installed, windows will not detect the wireless connection and therefore I cannot connect. To insure (beyond the obvious indication of timing) that this was indeed SP2's fault, I installed SP2 on a second system that had internet connectivity through wireless w/o SP2. Again, after installing SP2, I have the same problem. A balloon pops up saying that there are one or more wireless connections available and that I should click it to connect to one of them, but when I do so, no connections are visible (no available wireless connections detected it says). Why does SP2 mess up my wireless connectivity? Is this fixable? SP1 is no longer supported by MS and I want the security benefits of SP2, but those benefits shouldn't include no internet connection!

Thank you in advance...

---DigiO

Answer:Lost Wireless Connection After Installing Service Pack 2

Hello,

Heres a few things to try

Open the TCP/IP properties of the wireless connection, Advanced button,
Options tab, TCP/IP filtering button, check that the ports/protocols are
"Permit All". If they are "Permit Only", it will kill the connection.

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2.

For these commands, Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt.

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset [log_file_name]

Note: the log_file_name needs to be specified, e.g. netsh int ip reset reset.log

I have a desktop PC with a Gigabyte X58 motherboard and Realtek audio and ethernet apps. The first thing that happened is the Realtek HD audio manager box kept coming up and I could not stop it. I deleted the audio app and it stop popping up, until I did a restart. Then it started popping up again. I went to Realtek's website on another computer and downloaded new drivers that included windows 10. That corrected the problem only if I shut down the computer - a restart will bring the problem back. The big issue is that the ethernet connection is not recognized. And Realtek does not have a windows 10 driver upgrade. I tried the windows 8 and the windows 7 drivers. They didn't work. Wouldn't you think windows 10 would have generic drivers that could use and just delete Realtek's. The ethernet port is pretty basic. This has been my worst experience with a windows upgrade.

Any ideas? Microsoft doesn't seem to have any.
