Question: Help required in connecting bluetooth headphone **bleep** mi...

Hi all, The other day i was trying to connect a SYSKA(SH76) bluetooth enabled headphone **bleep** microphone to my newly purchased HP Pavilion 15ac179tx. I installed realtek bluetooth 4.0 driver and then started to find bluetooth enabled devices, neither my HTC 816 phone got detected nor my bluetooth enabled headset. I checked and found that all necessary settings for device detection were already correct yet windows failed to detect my device. Any help please.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I didn't know where to put this, or what kind of problem this is.
I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones and an ASUS bluetooth USB adapter.
When I turn on the Bluetooth headset, I have to manually go into the Sound settings and change the "Default" to the Asus Adapter.
Though ZId love to know if there is a fix to this, it's easy enough to live with. The thing I cant stand though, is when I do switch any default device in the Sound settings, I also have to close all programs that were open when making the switch. Otherwise, the programs (like iTunes and Media Player Classic) will contiue coming out of the computer speakers, or whatever the previous default was. Ive only had the ASUS Bluetooth adapter, and havent been able to try another adapter, but I have used different bluetooth Headsets/Headphones, and they all react the same. The program also exhibited on Windows 7, so I doubt its OS specific.
Is there any way to fix this, because this is absolutely annoying.

Answer:Problem: Have to restart programs when connecting bluetooth Headphone.

Did you ever find an answer? I just found this post and I'm having the exact issue. And agreed; very annoying.

Edit: Just found this page on reddit. It works! Swich the audio playback in iTunes to Direct Sound rather than Windows Audio.

I seem to be constantly frustrated nowadays by a computer that truly is best described as being of the bleeping variety. I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium, and after all the problems experienced with Vista, I had thought things would improve. Silly me.

For reasons beyond me, it won't, or can't, do what I'd expect it to. I've run chkdisc (no errors found) and SFC (errors found, all corrected) and various malware / virus scans (no infections, no threats.) Yet simple ordinary routine tasks continue to be impossible, as per this list:

1 System Restore. I can set new restore points to my heart's content but will System restore ever find them? Nope. Never. I've tried repeatedly to go back to an earlier restore point but on each occasion am greeted with the message: "System restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files and settings were not changed. Details: System restore failed to extract the original copy of the directory from the restore point. Source: %SystemRoot%\registration. destination: ComPlus Staging."

2 Windows Repair Disc: Another supposedly simple Windows 7 task. But not for me. Every time I try to create it, the message is: Microsoft Windows Repair Disc has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

3 System Maintenance. An unexpected error occurred while troubleshooting. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue. Packag... Read more

I'm quite frustrated with a redirect problem I'm having. If I do a google search, then click on the result it goes elsewhere. If I try to use a browser (ie, or firefox) to go to a particular url, again--it's a redirect. I've downloaded and run 4 or 5 programs to resolve it, but none get rid of the problem--including Norton, Pareto, xdelbox, and hijack this. Why does Norton make so much $money$ if it cannot deal with this?Anyway, I've followed all the instructions on this site. The dds.txt file is below; attach.txt and ark.txt are attached... I have a Dell Latitude E6410 that finds and apparently "connects" to my Rocketfish RF-MAB2 bluetooth headphones. However, the headphones never show up as a device in the sound/volume settings, so the computer plays sound from the speakers rather than the headphones. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi there,
I am using two different bluetooth headsets to connect to my computer. They
pair and connect just fine and even work with Skype. The problem is Vista
(business) disconnects the headset about every 30-60 seconds. Does anyone
have any ideas of how to keep the connection stable?
thanks!

Answer:Bluetooth Headphone disconnects

Are you using vendor's bluetooth drivers? If so, remove it, reboot and let your system install the Microsoft bluetooth stack. You may have to uninstall your hardware manually too (from device manager)

Hi Guys,

I am trying to buy a new "sports headphone" to be used at the gym. Unfortunately, where I am, I only either have bluetooth 2.0 + NFC or Bluetooth 4.0 (only 1 or 2 options) without NFC.

I am really keen on NFC, as I have a S4 and really keen to try NFC, would really appreciate any feedback on this? Is BT2.0 with NFC a better option in terms of easy of use or a simple BT3.0 or BT4.0 without NFC be a safer bet?

I am not too sure how stable the NFC technology now is, so thats my only concern.

Would appreciate some feedback on this.

Thanks

Answer:NFC or bluetooth sports headphone?

Since NFC only works up to a few inches, it must be used just for the setup. The Bluetooth would then be used as the link between the headphones and phone.

I can't use my bluetooth headphone and wired earpiece simultaneously. whenever I connect my bluetooth headphone to my laptop, the wired earpiece stops working.I'm having Dell XPS L501X with Realtek High Definition Audio. Is there any way to make them work simultaneously?

Answer:Can't use bluetooth headphone with earpiece!!

I don't think there is because usually when you plug in a headset or turn on a bluetooth headset it disables the speakers, so I suspect that bluetooth essentially does the same to your wired headset - probably nothing that can be done about it unless you happen to find a setting in the realtek control panel that disables the 'feature'."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Hello, I got a JBL Everest Elite 700 bluetooth headphone and I would like to pair (connect) it with my HP Pavilion G6. I also have the latest updates installed. 1. Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a deviceNo device can be found! (I am sure the headphone is discoverable and it works perfectly with other laptops and my mobile phone) 2. In "Device Manager", there is no "Bluetooth" icon. 3. In Computer Management > Services, "Bluetooth Support Service" is running and is set to Automatic. 4. In Computer Management > Services, "Bluetooth Handsfree Service" is running and is set to Automatic.   This is driving me crazy. I don't know what else to do.

I own a macbook pro and runs windows 7 by bootcamp. The headphone is JBL e40bt.
I tried to use my bluetooth headphone it had always failed and it said there was no driver for "bluetooth peripheral device."
I then downloaded the ASUS driver thing from here: Can't find drivers for bluetooth headset - Windows 7 Help Forums
And the problem was solved.

But now when I connect my headphone, it is only good immediately after I connect it. As long as I play something continuously the headphone won't switch off by itself and nothing's wrong. But if there's no audio input from the computer to the headphone for like a minute and then I start playing music, the audio is skipped. I have to reconnect the device for it to return normal.

Please help me. It is quite annoying. It's okay if I am playing games and stuff but I when I'm playing music I can't let it stop.

I have a Insignia bluetooth wireless headphones that I want to use to listen to my Viso VO37L flat screen TV. So I put a Soundblaster Audigy soundcard in my spare computer and connected the TV headphone jack to the input line of the soundcard. I can now have the TV audio playing through the computers speakers. The problem is that no matter what I try I can't get the signal to the headphones. I have WIDCOMM bluetooth 5.1.0.3900 software installed on the computer and it works fine ,I can hear all Window XP sounds as well as the media player and other software audio. I tried using a few recording software programs thinking I could use the monitoring feature to hear the in-line input, but even though I could record the input and hear the replay I couldn't hear the monitor. This whole Idea seemed so simply but not I am thinking that "you can't get there from here". If anyone knows what I am missing I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Hi, I am having problems getting a Bluetooth headset to operate. Having connected and paired (I believe), the device shows in Devices and Printers. In Device Manager, there are three listings for it (Aukey model EP-B4). Each listing says there are no drivers installed. Have tried updating each and all but after an age for Windows searching for drivers I had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to close it.
I have contacted the manufacturer many times but so far no results - they repeatedly requested from where I bought it and item number.
I am using Win7 SP1 with all updates current.

The headset works well with my mobile phone and tablet (Android 5.1).

Any help much apprecitated.

Hi.I've been lurking for a bit and have had most of my questions answered and issues solved bythis fine community. Thank you!My problem is that I can add my bt headphones (I've tried two different sets) in the "add device"option, but once I shut the bt device (headphones in my case) off and then turn them back onagain the sound continues to come from the tablet or stereo speakers (which ever I'm using atthe time) and the sound won't switch to the bt headphones automatically. I must manually go theSound settings in Control Panel options and select the bt headphone to use them again. As ofright now I've got a shortcut to the Sound options on my desktop. Now this isn't a deal breaker forme, but there's got to be an easier way! LOLS!Any suggestions? Thanks! And for the record I have no wifi issues and I've upgraded to 8 gigs of ram so I'm keeping this!!!

Had searching the internet for two weeks, but still failing.
The closest solution I found is this: How to connect wireless headphones to PC
The problem is exactly the same as mine, but using the solution given, my wireless headphone still won't pair to my desktop PC.

Here is my devices:
- Wireless headphone: Jabra Move Wireless
- Windows 7 Ultimate, x64
- Bluetooth 2.0 USB Dongle

I don't think the other specification such motherboard, graphic card, etc is needed, so I will not write them here, unless they are needed to find the solution.

What I'm trying to achive:
I want to play music from my desktop PC using my wireless headphone through the USB bluetooth dongle.

Problems:
- Even after my wireless headset is already listed in control panel, it seems that its still not completely paired.

The bluetooth headphone/headset in "Sound" properties is still blank and nothing happened if the "Connect" option (by its popup menu) is clicked.

- In the Wireless headphone menu, I still can't click "Listen to music". Nothing is happened.

Here is my wireless headphone properties:

What should I do to make my wireless headphone completely paired with my desktop PC and fully working?

Any kind of help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The sound quality on paired headphones is terrible. There is a background, high pitched whine being transmitted that makes it unbearable to listen.
A wired pair of headphone works fine. The headphones work fine when paired with my Note 4 & Sony TV. A second pair of bluetooth headphones exhibits exactly the same problem, so it is 100% definitely the laptop that is the problem.
Does anybody know how the fix this please?

I used to be able to listen to music through a pair of Sony bluetooth headphones on my Wins 7 laptop. However, I am no unable to do so. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers with no success, removed and added the device. I followed a number of the steps in this thread : Bluetooth headset pairs but won't connect, not avail as playback devic , specifically the post from 11th Dec 2014 . Computer has been restarted multiple times.

I've attached an image of what I see. I can connect the headphones to the laptop, but can't listen to music. I also cannot set the headphones to default playback.

Atm, I'm listening through an aux cable, but any additional trouble shooting steps would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I am installing a PCI Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio in my ThinkCentre M51 1843-wnv with 2.5 GB RAM and a freshly installed PCIe ATI Radeon HD 4550 graphics card. My question is this: How do I connect the sound card to the front mic and headphone inputs?  I have been googling this all day and keep running into something about "2 x 5 pin Front Panel Header for connections with Intel HD Front Panel Audio standard header" but don't really understand what that means. Thanks!

----------------------------------ThinkCentre M51 (8143-WNV): Intel Pentium 4 (HT), 4 GB RAM, 40 GB 7200 RPM SATA HDD, PCI Tower (4x5), Intel GMA 900, 48x32x48x16x CD-RW & DVD combo, Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet, Win XP Pro, US Robotics voice/data modem PCI, USB 2.0 PCI card

Answer:Connecting SB sound card to front mic and headphone inputs

there should be a cable that is connected on the motherboard, which connects the internal sound card sound out, mic in to your external front sound jacks, disconnect that cable and try to fit it on your sound card.

Hi Satellite users,

I recently had a problem getting my Toshiba Satellite P50t-B running Windows 10 to detect (and hence connect) to my Sony MDR-XB50BS Bluetooth Headphones. The symptom of the problem was that the "MDR-XB50BS" device didn't appear in the list of available devices on the Windows Activity Centre "Connect" screen, nor in the Windows Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth and other devices -> Add a device screen. Since the device never appeared, I couldn't connect to it.

The solution to the problem turned out to be upgrading my Toshiba Satellite BIOS from version 1.10 to BIOS version 1:50 available on the Drivers & Updates tab of the Toshiba Satellite Support site. The release notes mention a Bluetooth issue being corrected in version 1.40 and while I can't say for certain that this is the same issue I encountered, updating the BIOS was the last thing that I tried before the problem went away, and it's reasonable to expect that a relatively new technology like Bluetooth might have had early implementation bugs.

The other point to note is that if you've already paired the headphones with another device, like I had with my iPhone, then you have to hold the power button down for 7 seconds at power on in order to enter Bluetooth pairing mode first time you try to connect it to the Satellite.

I hope this helps someone someday!

Cheers,
Graham

Answer:iball pulse bt4 bluetooth headphone not working with my vostro 1540

Have you tested other BT (bluetooth) devices on the Vostro 1540? What BT device is installed in the Vostro 1540? What operating system are you running? You should check with iball- Chat for support and setup of their product. Assuming you read through its User Manual for troubleshooting steps.

If you connect any Bluetooth Headset or Devices using Audio + Hands-Free Profile with Windows 10 build 10049 Bluetooth Stack, it uses only Audio and doesn't allow Hands-Free use.
I have tested 2 different devices, Windows registers both profiles, but never allows Hands-Free, so it isn't possible to use cortana, teamspeak or any Voip-Application by now.
With different Bluetooth Stacks, I tested Toshiba's, it works, but other issues occur.
Previously used devices may not connect at all, because they seem to be already registered to Toshibas Stack, but not working at all. Any suggestions or ideas?

X220 tablet (about 2.5 yrs old, out of warranty) was working completely fine last night; this morning, no sound is coming from the laptop, either through speakers or through headphones (audio jack).  I am, however, able to get sound through a bluetooth-connected speaker. I had hoped this was a software issue.  Tried uninstalling/installing all sound devices, updating BIOS, updating drivers, system restore to previous date, rebooting a million times, etc.  No joy. When I run the sound troubleshooter, it says that no speaker, headset, or headphone appears to be plugged in.  The sound icon has a little red circle/white X next to it.  When I try to plug in headphones, nothing happens -- does not seem to detect the event.  When I press the mute and volume buttons on the tablet, no response. Also, under Device Manager -> Sound, video and game controllers, it lists only "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" and "Intel Display Audio".  I don't think either of these is the normal X220 audio driver, is it?  What else should be there?  I downloaded the Conexant Audio Software from Lenovo's site (this is what came up when I searched for audio drivers for the X220 tablet), and tried to install it, but halfway through, it said the install failed because it couldn't locate the device for the driver. This sounds like it's a hardware problem -- any way to verify?  Also, which piece of hardware exactly?  Is it the sound card ... Answer:X220 tablet - sound suddenly stopped working from speakers and headphone (but not bluetooth)

If it doesn't appear in the device manager, it sounds to me like the sound chip (codec) or some support chip has died. I'm not sure how exact you want the answer to be. I think on that model, the codec is a Conexant 20672. If I am correct, the normal fix is to replace the motherboard. Many x220 machines are still under warranty. If yours is, now would be a good time to use it. You can check here:http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-service/warranty-status/default.page?

A Mic-R
B Mic-L
C FRONT-R
D FRONT-L
E REAR-R
F REAR-L
G GND
H BASS

im pretty sure power to the mic comes from the psu which is plugged into the reader.

Ok on my mobo i have the following

01 AUD_MIC
02 AUD_GND
03 AUD_MIC_BAIS (Microphone power)
04 AUD_VCC
05 AUD_F_R
06 AUD_RET_R

if already managed to pair C,D,E,F and G, with corresponding 5,9,6,10,2

If it is not possible for any reason to connect my card reader with the motherboard.
Then ill resort to my case front panal, but that too i cant connect properly.

Hi all,This is technically not a problem but an information request.I need the info because it will save me making a more clunky solution and I know that it exists because the factory preload must have used SOME method to get this working automatically.I know I have written a lot but its all relevant and I dont want someone from Lenovo to have to ask me three times for missing info so I have listed everything.BASIC SCENARIOThinkPad T40 [6474-R1U]Windows XP Corp w/ SP2 <NOT THE FACTORY PRELOAD OR A DERIVATIVE>I have two T400 "prototypes" to work with in making the current corporate image work on this platform. One has the test corporate image and one has the XP factory preload installed on it.The SATA, sysprep, drivers, webcam-reboot-issue, etc have all been fixed and its gotten to a point where the Device Manager is clean as a whistle and no errors.I am not new to this as our corporate image is my sole responsibility and it works perfectly on 7 different hardware platforms, 4 of which are laptops. At the end of the re-image, the following software will be "silently" installed in the specified order ONLY if the system is detected to be a 6474-class Lenovo.    [1] ACPI Power Management                    SETUP.EXE -S -SMS    N/A    [2] Hotkey Utility                     &n... Answer:T400 - Bluetooth Software - Unattended Install instructions/procedure required.

Because of the overwhelming response [snicker, snicker] I received to my missive, I have decided to answer it myself.I still dont know what commmand Lenovo's factory preload uses and I will try and re-image the factory preload laptop as described above and try to find the exact command line but until then, this is a confirmed working solution. The folder c:\swtools\drivers\tpbtooth\Win32 on the factory preload has a file called BTW.msi in it. If you extract the driver manually on your own XP install, its the Win32 subfolder of the extracted driver root folder. Run the following command and it does the install quietly for you and doesnt allow command processing to continue until it is done.start /wait msiexec /i c:\swtools\drivers\tpbtooth\Win32\BTW.msi /qnOnce the install is complete, you can either double-click the Bluetooth icon in the Control Panel to initialize the drivers or run the following command to do so.btcpl.cplSolution for the main install was on this page:http://helpnet.acresso.com/robo/projects/HelpLibDevStudio9/SilentInstall.htm

Hi, all.
I have a desktop and a Compaq laptop both using Windows XP Pro SP3. I would like to connect them both using Bluetooth so I can transfer files between them. I don't care about sharing the internet connection. I hoped to buy an Ethernet crossover cable but I couldn't find any, and I've been using a USB stick to very, very slowly transfer files across.
I turned discovery on on both the PCs and used both to try and find the other to "add a device", and they do; and also turned "allow Bluetooth devices to connect" on, as well, but they are unable to connect for whatever reason. I tried using a custom key and letting it choose one for me but neither worked. As clever as Microsoft is it doesn't tell me what the actual problem is. All it says is there isn't any more information about it. I also don't want to not use a passkey.
Again I don't need to share the internet connection, merely transfer files between them. I also tried with a small test file and it saw the other PC but then chose to fail. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi, I recently got this new WLAN Bluetooth Combo Adapter so that I could have the option to use bluetooth devices with my laptop. I'd connect my Sony MDR-XB950BT bluetooth headset and use it to talk to friends on Skype. When I look in my sound devices, there are normally two devices my headset connects with: "Headphones" and "Headset". The headset option is what lets me use my mic. However, now "Headset" displays as "Disconnected" and right-clicking then pressing "Connect" doesn't help. When I unpair then re-pair the device, it takes forever to download it's drivers, then I see that there is no "Headset" option in my sound devices at all! It reappears upon restart, but again as "Disconnected". Also, now when I connect my headphones, the "Headphones" option also displays as "Disconnected", but unlike the "Headset" option I am able to right-click and press connect and it will then connect. All my drivers are up-to-date and when searching for my new WLAN Bluetooth adapter I was told by an HP expert (who was a great help by the way) that this one was indeed compatible with my laptop model. It worked at first, but now I'm having these issues. There is no answer anywhere online that works for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Answer:Connecting the 6310i to PC Via bluetooth

I have had a similar problem connecting the bluetooth via a Compaq multiport and the 6310i. It has still not been fully resolved because I can`t synchronise my Organizer 97 with it but all other functions are OK. i.e. Copy from phone to PC. Phone Editor etc.Firstly you need the latest version of the Nokia PC suite version 4.88 - It is available from the nokia site.Secondly, I had to take my phone to a Nokia agent to have the firmware upgraded. Check with Club Nokia (You have to sign up for free membership) & then contact them to check what you currently have on the phone. They will tell you a code to tap into the phone. click hereAfter that little lot you can then start to configure the computer and phone together. Keep me posted.

I have a pair of August MS515 connected which work only intermittently and which seem to require me to restart me machine several times before they will finally work. I've uninstalled several times, basically done everything I can. The manufacturers tell me that Dell is particularly bad for supporting their equipment and that I need to install the latest (Radio) drivers to make sure that the connection works all the time. At the moment the speakers are both visibly paired and indeed reporting as connected via bluetooth but there's no sound and I can't get them to Connect when I right click on the sound icon. SO the only speakers showing as connected are the default laptop's. Any idea what I need to download and update form the Dell website? They, of course, disown me as I reuse to buy a new laptop from them and think it;s weird that I have one which is 6 years old. I've tried downloading the WLAN Radio Switch but that stops and I also can't get the DellRctlService to start or run,. Si I suppose I'm stuffed, unless someone brighter can point me in the right direction!

Hello. I have located and updated Bluetooth in my Devices folder. I have turned on Bluetooth in settings. The message says, "Your PC is searching for and can be discovered by Bluetooth devices." Answer:Trouble connecting bluetooth

Hi: I see that your notebook originally came with W8 from the factory, so that means that you upgraded to W10. I also see that there are no W10 bluetooth drivers for the model wireless card your notebook has on the support page. Accordingly, the only suggestion I can offer (assuming you have not done so already), would be to install the W10 bluetooth driver for the Ralink/Mediatek bluetooth radio your notebook has.... 11.0.761.0 Rev.A  Jun 18, 2015 This package contains the driver installation package for the Mediatek Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71572.exe Restart the PC after installing the above driver and then try connecting via bluetooth.

Hi all! I have problems when i try to transfer files between my PC and other devices (mobile phones, PC's) via bluetooth.

I can send files normally but i cannot receive them. When I try to receive, the connection just fails. Do you have any idea what might be the problem and how to solve it? Could it be something to do with serial ports? At the moment I am using different serial ports for sending and receiving (COM23 and COM24). How can I change the serial ports so that they would the same for sending and receiving..?
Or has it anything to do with serial ports?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit and my bluetooth device is Generic Bluetooth Radio manifactured by Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd.

I would like to switch listening, over the headphones, to the other three devices (maybe more in the future). I haven't been able to find anyone that understands this subject. I've searched Google for a good forum and can't find one. Perhaps you could help with your connections. Thanks in advance!

Answer:Need help connecting four Bluetooth devices

Hello @Nisko,

I don't use any of these type of items, so I really don't have any personal experience with them.

It would probably be best to have a separate thread per specific device to have a higher chance of someone that knows more about that device be able to find the thread and help.

I love my Sony DR-BT101 bluetooth headset. It would connect fine with my PC and worked beautifully. Unexpectedly, it suddenly stopped connecting and every time I tried to pair nothing would happen. I've been able to add the device, so the PC recognizes it. However, it won't connect with the PC and the device does not show up as an option in the playback tab in the sounds menu.

So, I tried following this link:

http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-networking/24580-make-your-bluetooth-devices-work-windows-7-a.html

Still nothing. I'm not even sure what the Mobile Device Center is meant to do as the headset is not a mobile device like a handheld. It said I should see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device' - which never was listed.

My headset is not on low battery, and has never had connection issues in the past, or even problems with playback. I haven't messed with any of the PC's services or changed anything on my adapter.

If someone could help me out that would be great, or share similar attempts to solve this problem.

Flok980 welcome to SF,
You must go to BT devices and set it up to look for devices while putting the headphones in visible mode.

Hi,
We got my Dad a Nokia Lumia 530 for Christmas.
We managed to connect it to his car via Bluetooth for a very short period of time before we started having issues.
The 2nd time we tried connecting it, the phone showed as 'Voice Control (or Voice Connected)' and didn't work. No phone book was visible on the car's dashboard.
Then, I have done a factory reset on the phone in the hope that it would work, only to find that it now says UHP Couldn't Connect, and I don't know what that means.
Any idea how I can fix these Bluetooth issues as it is a feature my Dad really needs?

How do you get it to connect?

My Bluetooth connection to a speaker was OK but then it stopped and I have not been able to re-connect. The computer detects the speaker but pairing goes on endlessly without completing. I tried updating all the Bluetooth drivers but they were reported as the best available. I saw that the checkbox for 'Bluetooth will be allowed to find the PC' kept becoming unchecked, and that 'Bluetooth devices will see this PC' had a yellow triangle against it.I also tried connecting my Windows phone to the speaker, which worked fine, so it seems to be an issue with the PC. In Properties it is reported that  'additional installation is required' --- what is that and how is it done?

Answer:Bluetooth stopped connecting

Where are you getting these drivers from ? ?...Yellow triangle usually indicates bad/wrong driver...

I have a a Dell Latitude E7450, running W7 Pro (64 bit). I recently bought an August EP650 bluetooth headset and tried to connect. It does not. It is recognised in 'Devices and printers' and drivers are installed and when I go to 'Sound' I can see it, but it is disconnected and nothing can make it connect.
I searched the internet for 2 days and tried various things. I understand I have to go to 'Device and printers' -> right click and select 'Service' and click on 'Listen to music' or 'Forward VoIP to Handsfree'. I click on 'Listen to music' - nothing happens. No message, just nothing. I checked 'Properties' -> 'Services' and 'Headset' is selected as a Bluetooth Service. I tried everything suggested on forums.
I went to Dell drivers and could see a new bluetooth driver issued on 01.08.17. Downloaded and installed it. The fun started then as the headset would not install correctly, I hade like 15 issues with 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'. Nothing I did installed the correct drivers for 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'.
I gave up and called Dell, but they see it as a software issue (yeah! their software!!!) and want to charge me the earth for helping me with no guarantees.
I found the restore point and rolled back to before I installed the new drivers. Device manager is now not complaining, but still nothing works.
BTW - the headset connects to my mobile no problem. So ... Read more

Hi My laptop is not bluetooth enabled so I purchased one of these mini USB Bluetooth gadgets, but when I plug it into the USB port and the driver software loads up it tells me that the device is a bluetooth radio. When I try to find my bluetooth enabled mobile it cannot find it. I know I purchased the correct thing at PC World but I really don't understand what is going on.It did at first recognise that there was a bluetooth phone but when I tried to marry the two up it would not find the phone.Anybody got any idea's or will I have to purchase a cable to connect the phone to the laptop.I am running windows 7

Answer:Connecting my Bluetooth mobile

Strange to say I just the other day paired a new mobile to my laptop (Vista) using an old Cable and Wireless dongle... and it worked. As always can't remember exact steps but I just let Vista install the dongle and turned bluetooth on the phone on. Clicked the bluetooth system tray icon to find devices and phone was there. Had to enter a pass key into phone that appeared on the screen when picking the phone as item to connect to? (I think it was that way round) to pair the device and not to always ask for permission to connect.Do you have to make your phone discoverable ?

I have a Sony MDR-10RBT bluetooth headset that used to work with my HP ZBook 15 G2 laptop. I'm not sure what happened, but it no longer works.I can pair the headset, and it shows up in the Devices and Printers window. However, when I double click on the headset's icon and get the window where I can click on Listen to Music or Forward VoIP Calls to Handsfree, they are both greyed out. If I look in services:Bluetooth Media Service: not started, automaticBluetooth OBEX Service: not started, automaticBluetooth Support Service: started, manual If I try starting Bluetooth Media Service, I get an Error 1053. I have updated the Intel Bluetooth Driver for 7260/3610 WLAN (American, International) to 17.1.1504.518 Rev.A29 Jun 2015. I'm not sure what that replaces, since when I look in the Device Manager, under Intel Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter, it still says 17.0.1401.422. Any suggestions of where to look next would be appreciated.

Hey all,

I have a Windows 7 32bit Enterprise.
I bought a bluetooth speaker Anker SoundCore this week, but it wonīt connect. I installed the drivers needed, but when I click on "estblish connection", nothing would happen.

I tried reinstalling the drivers, my speaker as well as the computer are both visible, all bluetooth processes start automatically.
My computer connects normally to my old phone, but when I try to connect to my new phone and to play music via itīs speaker, it wouldnīt work as well, so I guess that computer is the problem.

Can someone help me, please?

hello all.

Ive been having trouble with my bluetooth connection. Whenever i attempt to double click my phone icon in the devices menu to view its bluetooth connection options, i get a message saying:

"an error occurred when initializing this operation. Try restarting your computer and/or the Bluetooth device. "

so, what i see so far:

-the phone successfully pairs with my computer
-each device can see each other

but they cannot interact.

the phone however will connect and interact with other bluetooth devices.

ive double checked many times, my drivers are all there and up to date.
(also used driver genius to check this)

also, whenever i start my computer, i always get the message: "ERROR: unable to start bluetooth stack service"

any ideas what's going on here?

thanks.

my system specs:

dell studio 1555
windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, build 7600

phone: verizon samsung intensity

Answer:need help connecting pc to phone via bluetooth

Sounds like an error with the bluetooth stack and or drivers... check Dells website for the latest versions.
