Kyocera FS-1020D print not aligning

Question: Kyocera FS-1020D print not aligning

I have a Kyocera FS-1020D printer that has printed about 45,000 pages. It now has a problem with aligning the print. When a page prints it begins printing right at the top of the page and is missing the first 1-2cm of detail. THis happens when printing documents from word etc and when printing a test page from the printer. It also happens when the paper is fed from the print tray or the manual paper feed

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Kyocera FS-1020D print not aligning

Try installing the most up to date driver software for your PC according to you OS: http://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions...ownload_centre.false.driver.FS1020D._.EN.html
I know for HP, the drivers come bundled with a control center that allows you to align and clean the print heads, check ink levels, etc. Maybe the new driver will come bundled with that type of software. My printer can also clean and align the cartridges from with in the printer itself since it has a touch screen. Not sure if you can do that with yours because of the small screen. You can also take a look at your user manual for steps on how to align the cartridges. Download the manual here if you lost it: http://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions...wnload_centre.false.driver.FS1020D._.EN.html#

I have just installed the latest driver from Kyocera for the FS-1020D. I am using the USB connection. This problem has occurred with Windows 7 Professional and Windows 8.

When I print the page, the print doesn't start until between 5cm and 14cm down the page (I tried printing off 5 pages, the first page started printing 14 cm down, then the remaining 4 pages left a top gap of 5 cm).

Any ideas?

Cancel this request - I don't understand why, but after I tried printing from the MP tray, it suddenly sorted itself out and is now printing perfectly from both paper trays!

Have you tried removing all the drivers and software (via Printers and Faxes) then doing a re-install following the instructions EXACTLY as they are written?

I've got an admittedly archaic printer - HP Deskjet 920c (10 years old) that has served me well, see no reason to replace it.

Except the ink is starting to run low and I'm only now realizing that the "toolkit" utility that came with it doesn't work in Windows 7.

HP's own web site - How to Get Your Printer Working with Windows 7 HP Deskjet 920c Printer - HP Customer Care (United States - English) - as much as says "tough luck."

So what am I supposed to do when I replace the print cartridge, to get the print heads aligned? I assume the printer will print legibly, but I know the toolkit utility was something I always ran after changing the cartridges in the past.

Suggestions?

Answer:Aligning print heads w/o HP toolkit?

If there is no way to manually align the printheads via the printer controls, I can think of 2 possibilities (create a System Restore point first):

1) Try installing the software in compatibility mode and set the install program to run as an admin.
You would right click on the install file, & choose properties. The screenshot should guide you through the rest:

If at first it doesn't work, try different compat modes (i.e., XP SP2, SP1, etc.)

If that doesn't work:

2) Install the printer to an XP machine, align the printheads, move printer to Win 7 machine. Win 7 will likely have a driver for it, even if generic. As a rule, I generally don't install HP printer software, as it seems bloated. I never miss it.

I'm not sure if a virtual machine will support a printer install, but if it does, an XP V.M. is a possible solution as well.

Hi Everyone,

I have setup a Kyocera FS-2020D KX printer on a Windows 7 x64 computer. On the Windows 7 computer the printer is connected by LPT port. Within Windows 7 the printer is set to Share so that it is available over the network to other Workgroup Computers.

On an XP computer I have added the printer by using the Add Printer dialogue. During initial setup of the printer XP stated that it would "automatically get a driver from the host computer", however it failed to do this, and as a result presented me with an additional dialogue which I used to browse for an appropriate driver file.

I am unable to print a test page from the XP computer, furthermore there is some strange behaviour when right clicking on the printer and selecting Printing Preferences. I have created a YouTube video explaining the issues at hand (please take a look):

Kyocera Driver Issue

I believe that there is a basic incompatibility between the host (Windows 7 x64) computers drivers and those of the guest (XP); more specifically I think that these are driven by the fact that the host is 64 bit and the guest is 32 bit.

If anybody has any advice on how to overcome this issue (whilst leaving the printer connected by LPT to Windows 7 x64) can you please let me know?

Kind Regards,

Davo

Answer:Can't print from XP to shared Windows 7 Kyocera printer

I would just try to get the matching 32 bit XP driver from Kyocera and install in manually. That's how I did it decades ago when the printer ran on a W2000 server and I had to use it from WfW Desktops

Answer:Can't print from XP to shared Windows 7 Kyocera printer

You need to add the XP drivers for the Windows 7 machine. Go into devices and printers, highlight the print and click server properties at the top of the Windows. Click over to the drivers tap and click add, it will prompt you for the location of the Windows XP driver.

Here's a tough question for you network gods...
I work for the NHS and have been asked about getting mobile printing set up across the trust. Our mobile devices connect to our WiFi range which is 10.96 and all of our LAN devices connect to either 10.179 or 10.231 (10.231 will be our new range once all sites are changed over)
The Kyocera mobile application will only search for SNMP devices on the local network (10.96). Is there a way that I can get the 10.96 range to include results from both 10.179 and 10.231?
Our print servers are on Server 2008 R2.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,

I was wondering how I could unlock ringtones and download pictures?

I bought a data cable off the ebays, but it obviously requires some kind of software for the pc that I don't have. When I connect the phone via the USB, it just kind of locks up. Dang.

Thank the gods that I only spent $6 on it, but it'd be cool if I could get it to work.

I keep finding references to "MPT" when I go a'googlin, but can't seem to find a good or safe download of that either. And I'll be damned if I have to PAY for that! LOL

I already bought the dang phone, why can't I use all of it's features too? Greedy SOB's!

Yeah, I'm not exactly a pirate or anything either, I NEVER download music or movies, as I've actually had an old roomate get sued for that about 4 years ago. They wanted something INSANE like $35,000 from him. He made about $18k a year teaching at USF. He's still screwed, going on 5 years later!

But seriously, is there a freeware kind of thing that will let me accomplish the same thing?

And if so, what is it!?

P.S.- Before somebody suggests it...I CAN'T BUY A NEW PHONE RIGHT NOW! Some Einstein always says, "Just buy a new/better one". It gets tedious, folks!

And as always, I very much appreciate any help!

Hi,Can anyone tell me how to put two images on the same line in html. I want to put two flags in the top left and top right of my page but when I try div align="right" the second flag jumps down a line.Is there some way just using html to keep them on the same line?Thanks.

Answer:Aligning to the right in HTML

Create a table of two cells.Put one flag image in the left hand cell and align it to the left. In the other cell put your image in but this time aligned to the right.To place them at the top of each cell do this: td valign="top"At the bottom replace top with bottom and in the middle replace top with center.While your're setting it up keep your border switched on but once you're happy with it switch it off. ie border="2" change to border="0". Don't leave the '0' out otherwise you'll get a thin border.For a logo in between the two flags then start with a 3 cell table instead and simply put your logo image in the middle one.

Samsung 830 has a bad alignment issue, first install was a clone of a Vertex SSD and it ran blazing fast but in AS SSD shows over 500,000k bad. Then did a clean install and after getting all my updates and software re-loaded had a similar huge number bad again but still a very quick drive and both installs showed 7.9 in WEI. So now I've imaged my Samsung to a Seagate HDD, I've totally cleaned my Vertex and need to restore the image to it then I can use the Samsung clone tool to hopefully properly align the Samsung 830 and be off to the races as they say. So I need help with re-storing the image to the Vertex then cloning should be smooth from there???

Question: aligning text help

I'm making a website and on it I have that it tells the viewer what kind of browser they have and what version.(I have'nt got to the writing of the version part yet.) I was wondering how do I align the text that is in the Java script tags. I want the text to be on the bottom right of the screen. Heres the codeI took out the script tags so it shows up)
var name = navigator.appName;
var vers = navigator.appVersion;
vers = vers.substring(0,1);
// or 0,4 could return 4.5 instead of just 4

if (name == "Microsoft Internet Explorer")
{
//
document.write('<font size="1"><font color="red">Browser = Internet Explorer</font>');
//
}
else
{
//
document.write('<font size="1"><font color="red">Browser = Netscape</font>');
//
}

It's so easy, but I forgot how to do it. I have'nt written code in a while. Please give me a tip on how I can align the text to the bottom right.
Thanks,

Answer:aligning text help

the problem you are going to run into is support for the height attribute in older browsers.

You could put the whole page in a 2tall 1 high table and make the bottom cell aligned right and put the text in there. The trouble is defining the height of the first cell to be 99% or even 100%. I don't think NS 4 will do it. Not sure about how far back in IE it would work.

Question: Re-aligning icons?

Is there a way, in Windows XP, to re-align the icons if you have the task bar on the top of the screen? Say, for instance, you downloaded a file. It would normally go in the upper right-hand corner, right? But is there a way to get it to automatically place itself in, say, the lower left-hand corner? Thanks!

G-Nome

Answer:Re-aligning icons?

I think that Windows will place a file in the first available spot, top to bottom, left to right. There isn't a way (that I know of) to tell it to place a file on the desktop at a specific x,y start point. You could create a download folder and put it wherever you want on the desktop, then save all files to that folder.

Hi all Hope everyone is doing well )
My query is with regards to a 3750kx printer which is networked in my office. This beast is worth a few Grand with extra paper trays which we have installed.
The issue we are experiencing involves the printer going to sleep and not waking up (Even if we run an echo command to cancel sleep mode on the printer).
IT then needs a turn off and on again for the document to be spooled and printed which is strange as used to work ok i believe but is old so fair enough right lol.

I called out a repair Tech and he tried to say was network problem on our side however I am pretty sure this isnt the case as why would it start printing after being turned off.
The problem can not be pinned down to one part of the printer as the tech guy said could possibly be a faulty Main logic Board or Engine board based in UK cost of board and repair is 245 but doesnt garentee that fixing logic unit will cease the problem and could be engine board. A phat load of help that was really as im not willing to pay that for the printer to possibly not be fixed. Is there a ping command or a way around it so peeps dont have to turn on an off all the time.
Thanks for listening to me babbbllee on failing a fix maybe a HP 1320 duplex may be good idea as close to repair fee and i know a new printer will work hehe )
p.s will printing direct to printer make a difference as oposed to spooling im not too clued up about this im afraid

Answer:A sleepy Kyocera 3750kx

First off I would check powersave mode if its on disable it and see if the problem keeps happening. I notice alot of very OLD PC's with powersave enabled sometimes don't act the way they should anymore.

Second how is the printer hooked up to your network? Is it connected ot a PC and you guys do network print sharing? Is it hooked directly to a network via an internal card or is there a box its plugged into that then is hooked into an ethernet wire? Each of these can be points of failure on the printing side.

What I would do is determine the last item in the chains IP address and once it "goes to sleep" try pinging the IP of the device that is connected to it (either the computer the printer is connected to OR the print server box OR the internal print server) this will tell you if communications is at least getting as far as that last point.

If its a print to 1 computer that the printer is hooked up to scenario have you checked that PC's spool information?

What do you mean by "aligning" - do you want to have them in a certain sequence. That is only possible by name, etc. - see picture.

I have a much-loved Kyocera Mita FS-3800 KX which is still working perfectly from my Samsung Laptop using Windows 7. Unfortunately my 7 year old Dell desktop has died, and I am now struggling with this much-unloved new software, Windows 8.1, on my new HP desktop.

Although the Printers page shows the Kyocera is connected, it doesn't print, so I have downloaded the correct new 64-bit driver from the Kyocera website and am trying to install it.

Firstly, I can't see how to uninstall the old software (it doesn't show on the Control Panel/Uninstall page), and when I tried to install the new downloaded driver (using the setup.exe program in the download) I got the message "The operating system is not supported".

Microsoft strikes again. Any ideas, anyone?

BTW this is not the only gripe, but it's the major one at present!

I much rather prefer the icons to be placed at the right of the screen instead of the left however i have to sort the icons to the left manually and sometimes an update can cause the icons to jump back to the left. Not to mention that when you update or download new files then the updated/new file will be added to the left of the screen.

Is there still no way in Win7 to automatically have icons aligned to the right?

Answer:Aligning icons to the right of screen?

It's not really possible to set it to the right side automatically. At least not that I've seen. You could disable Auto Arrange and that should stop them from jumping over after you've moved them.

I would however recommend Fences. Neat little program that helps to better organize your icons. I love it.

Identical letters are identical text, and the numbers are all different.How do I align it to look like this?:A 1 A 2 A 3B 1 B 2C 1D 1 D 2 D 3E 1 E 2F 1G 1 G 2 G 3I need the aligned name column to move and the number next to it to move along with it.Thanks for the help!

Answer:Aligning Columns of data

Since you didn't provide column headings or row numbers, I had to use my own in order to set up a spreadsheet. Obviously you'll need to adjust the formulas to match your data layout.I copied the data from your post and pasted it into spreadsheet. Here is an excerpt so you can see the layout I am using. Your data is in Columns A & B. In D4:D13 I entered 1 - 10 for the Item #'s. This is the location for the Output table. Below the data excerpt I have posted the formulas that should be used in E4:G4 and dragged down to E13:G13 to produce the output table.

I have a Kyocera CDMA Wireless Modem that connected successfully to the Internet pre XP Home. Now the modem "reaches" the phone and dials, but I get an error message:
Error 777: The connection attempt failed because the modem (or other connecting device) on the remote computer is out of order.

There is no problem with my Earthlink connection. I've redone my Network Connection and have the addresses correct. Does anyone know anything about this? New drivers? Kyocera has not been able (yet) to provide me with help.

Thanks.

I have three kyocera devices, an FS 3800, a KM 2530, and a KM 7530, with 5 total NICs all with Static IP addresses. I have 84 total devices on my network, most using static IPs, and about 15 using DHCP. The network is Windows 2000.We began having trouble scanning to our workstations and printing to the all of the printer components of the Kyocera devices. I tried pinging the devices and the requests time out about 66% to 75% of the time. I can ping my workstations and my HP print devices and I get 100% return on the traffic. Has anyone encountered this? Or does anyone have any clue what could cause this problem?

I am learning Access, so please bear with me if to some of you this question seems elementary.

I have set out a report in a columnar lay-out. There are perhaps 8 controls in the column. In Print Preview, I can see that all the labels are correctly aligned left, but I can also see that in 2 cases the text-boxes are out of alignment. One is a long way away to the right, the other is also to the right, though considerably less so.

I go to each offending control in turn, click on the control to make the handles appear, steer the mouse-pointer till it turns into a pointing finger, and drag the text-box until I can see on the grid that it is precisely aligned with the other text-boxes.

I have another look at the report in Print Preview --- and nothing has changed.

Have I missed something ?

I have some sales pricing data for products in our company in one spreadsheet. I have the cost prices for the same products in another spreadsheet. They are completely unrelated in how they are ordered. The sales pricing spreadsheet has been ordered in a way over the years that most efficiently helps our sales team sell the products and corresponding accessories etc. Our cost prices are ordered by supplier.I am looking to maintain the order (or sort) of the products in the "sales spreadsheet" but want to take the cost prices and place them in an adjacent column within the sales spreadsheet.So I have copied the "product" column and "cost price" column from the supplier spreadsheet and pasted them into the sales spreadsheet. I want to now sort these columns so that the "product" column from the supplier spreadsheet aligns with the "product" column from the sales spreadsheet so that cost price of each product is there but the order of the sales spreadsheet has been maintained. There are multiple heading lines in the sales spreadsheet within the "product"columnHere is an example (with altered product names and prices) of what I am looking at and what I would like to achieve -- The 2nd and 3rd columns have been added into the sales spreadsheet. Hi,

I've been trying to align my two monitors so that the mouse doesn't "slip" from the bottom right corner of my main (left side) to the right-side monitor when going for the show-desktop button.
i.e. I was trying to replicate this solution here: link

but for some reason, every time I change the alignment and hit "apply", the screens flash and just revert back to the default state, which is exactly aligned across the edge. Its driving me crazy!

Any help appreciated!

Answer:Problem aligning two identical monitors

Right tick on Taskbar and Select Desktop. You will see a new Desktop icon on the Taskbar that should work for you.

Hi, im having a problem with our printer, we have a Kyocera FS-1000 with 7 computers running off of it.

Now, 3 of the computers are running Windows 98 SE and it works fine for them but the others are using Windows 2000 and for some reason it wont print out of the second tray for those computers, the drivers we are using are just the ones from the CD and then i went to the Kyocera site and downloaded specific win 2000 drivers but it's still not working!

When i go to Word 2000, i click print and then i click on the properties next to the printer thats selected and in there i click the drop down box in the "Paper/Quality" Tab and it has a little yellow triangle box with an exclamation mark around the "Cassete 2" icon and when i try select it i get this error messege.

"The following settings conflict with each other."

"Paper source: Cassete 2"
"Paper Feeder: Not Installed"

Then just gives me an option to "Restore my previous settings" or "keep this setting, ill change it later".

Please help!

And i realised it said the Paper Feeder is not installed but i didnt do anything different when installing on WIN 98 SE and the second tray worked fine so its got me boggled.

Hey everyone,

I'm having a small buy annoying issue with my taskbar. Turned my Laptop on to find that every window now aligns to the right, right next to the system tray. The quick launch is absolutely fine, as is the system tray.

Here's a screenshot of what my problem is:
The small arrows to the right of it only appear when there are more than two windows open. It's as if everything is stuck in a small invisible area

Don't suppose anybody has seen this problem before, and how it can be fixed?

Answer:Aligning PHP and HTML code on page

If you discarded that messy table mark up and used divs, you would find it a lot easier. You could just float the image to the right (depends on the position of the <img> in the flow of the mark up) or position it absolutely within the parent div (if the div has relative positioning).

hello there

I have been having a problem with an old kyocera fs1000 printer I would like to get installed in XP. I have used the driver that is on the Kyocera website and it seems to get the printer installed so it shows up in "Printers and Faxes" in control panel.

The problem is that it randomly spews blank pages out for no reason, sometimes prints duplicate pages and sometimes prints pages with nothing on them except for the number 357.

I had heard of a fix that the printer should be installed as a hp 2000j using xp default drivers but haven't tried it yet since it is a customers pc and I dont have access to it at the moment. Does anyone have any other thoughts?

I recently formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows on my hard drive and now I have a strange issue. I have align to grid selected (as I did before) and now I cant put icons in the lower row. Whenever I try they always move up about an inch from the taskbar.

Is there a way to change the size of the grid or something? I would like to do this without third party software, as it worked fine before. Somewhat baffled here. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:Desktop icons not aligning properly

Are you using a custom DPI (dots per inch) setting? Try pressing the Ctrl button, and use the mouse scroll wheel to resize the icons larger or smaller. See if icon size is the issue. A Guy

When printing duplex documents, firstly, both sides of the page won't centre. I made a coloured box in MS Publisher, and placed it in the same position on both page 1 and 2, but on the print out, page 1 was higher up than page 2 (on the back of page 1).

Also, the paper doesn't seem to be feedbing through straight. It seems to pull at a very slight (but noticable) angle.

I desperately need help with this as I am currently looking to change printers purely due to these issues.

Answer:Kyocera 2530 scanning to network pcs?

we have a Lanier 2135 (i belive) that does network scanning.

Basically, you set up the scanner/printer/copier/coffee maker/jukebox on the network.

Then install the management software on a computer that will never be turned off (server), then the software should be able to find the scanner via broadcast/responce, and establish the connection.

Then you should be able to assign a directory on the network where the management software will dump the processes scans.

I need to change my cellular, but don't want to get rid of some old nice pictures I have on my Kyocera KX16, so I bought a data-cable via eBay that came with a CD. The cable plugs in on the side of my cell, and has a USB connector at the other end. SETUP was then run from the CD and there was an app called QPST that installed on my laptop. With that done, I went to check the posibility of accesing the data contained of my mobile phone but nothing happened. Reading some more, I realized one more app was needed. KPD v3.1 was then found on the web and installed it, but when run it keeps saying no phone is connected to the desktop. What am I missing?

Found this on google while working on this issue myself and came back to post what I got working.

Setup the port as LPR, queue name print with byte counting on.

Use the built in x64 2k3 driver for the Ricoh Aficio AP3800C PS.

So far I have Color, Duplexing, Tray options working properly with this driver, but the finisher doesn't want to staple... better than it being a large paperweight though.

Hope this helps.

I have an HP Officejet 6500A Plus 10n-z printer that is about 4 years old.  It has always printed very reliably until recently.  It has a USB connection to my Lenovo Desktop, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  I made a greeting card with Print Shop 23.1 Deluxe and when it printed the card, the image printed had shifted to the left so that part of the border ended up on the back side of the card.  At first, I thought it was Print Shop, then I remembered that I'd been having a problem making copies whether I put them on the glass or through the feeder, the tops of documents were much closer to the top of the page than the originals.  I went to HP and got a new driver to see if that would help, and it did not.  I'm really stumped on this one.  Does anyone one have any other suggestions?  I hate to buy a new printer as this one prints well other than the misalignment of printed matter.  Thank you,

How do i install or upgrade the memory of this printer??

Answer:Kyocera FS-C5100DN memory chip installation

Most Kyocera's use a special memory configuration. You gain access to the slot to it is beneath the top part of the case, usually on the right side... which sometimes has to be accessed by removing screw drivers. If it is accessible, there is a diagram or photo on the Kyocera website for each model.

When I plug my new Kyocera FS720 via USB to my new Fujitsu Siemens portable running Windows XP Home I get a message saying there is a harward fault - but the mouse works when connected to the same USB port. The printer works perfectly when connected to a Toshiba Tecra USB using the same cable. Installing the printer driver I first get a warning that the supplied software is not digitally licensed (or some such term) but the process continues only falling over when I click Finish. Downloading and installing the standard KX driver from the Kyocera website I find FS720 is not listed. Because the mouse works Siemens say there is a software problem. Has anyone noticed this? Windows mobile for phones is currently at build 10134 (according to the latest leak) and the desktop version is at build 10135.
I find this interesting because Microsoft was so behind with their mobile builds vs the desktop. Could this mean Microsoft has played caught up internally with the mobile build?
I don't know, but I would like to start seeing universal updates to universal apps, instead of apps updating separately for desktop and mobile.
Just thought it was interesting to bring up - especially since we all want more stable versions of Windows 10 mobile, maybe it means the core OS is even closer to the desktop version.

Answer:Windows Mobile and Desktop build numbers aligning

Lol I think this was always the basic idea. Keep in mind that while MS launched the updates for PC's first, this never meant that they weren't working on the mobile versions. The problem was that they didn't want half baked versions floating around and they never expected their program for "insiders" to be this succesful

Hi, I think your phone uses Android. You need to set it as mass storage device (or Mass Storage Mode) to allow your computer to "see" it. Please use the following instructions to set your phone up:                http://www.device-recovery.com/how-to-connect-android-devices-to-pc-with-usb-mass-storage-mode You may have to ask Kyocera how. Regards.

Hello everyone

I have troubles to accurately align text elements with objects in powerpoint 2007 (working on vista business).

I already set the internal margins (top, bottom, left and right) to 0.0 cm but there is still some space left between the upper end of the text/characters and the upper end of the text box itself. Hence I am not able to "align top" e.g. a rectangle with the upper end of that text because powerpoint aligns the rectangle with the upper end of the textbox (which is a bit higher).

I would very much appreciate any kind of hints and help!

Thanks in advance, Philip

Answer:Connect Kyocera s2100 cell phone to Windows 7 PC

If there is no mass storage mode on your phone, a new data cable of any kind won't make any difference.Check you phone settings again for "mass storage mode". Without that mode you cannot do what you are trying to do.The generic mass storage driver is built in to Windows but unless you can switch the phone to "mass storage mode" Windows won't be able to install that driver.If all you need to do is transfer data from/to the phone's memory card, buy a card reader & plug it in to your computer's USB port.Then remove the memory card from the phone and insert it in to the card reader. Than gets around your current problem as far as the memory card is concerned.message edited by phil22

Just changed ink cartridges and my printers is tellig me it is aligning cartidges but nothing happens

Answer:hp office jet 4500 keeps telling me to wait aligning cartidg...

@Nelson1941 Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!Sorry, but I don't have very good news for you ...I ran into a very similar problem last year with my older HP 8500 all-in-one -- and learned two unfortunate things:1) HP no longer services my model printer. I offered to send it to them and PAY them to service it, but they said they would NOT service it.2) Other printer repair facilities would NOT service my printer, either. They all said they could no longer get parts from HP for my printer, so they could no longer fix it.In your case, you need to call HP Customer Support and have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to discuss your printer problems -- to find out IF it can be fixed.HP Tech Support WILL charge you a FEE for this, but you need to know IF your printer can be repaired; otherwise, you will have no choice other than to replace it.If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.htmlNOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836Good Luck

downloaded yesterday for an important installation where I was very afraid to use 64-bit Windows 7 in real production environment with non-technical users. older Kyocera model, fortunately has a fairly recent wad-respin tagged for x64 Windows 7 & Vista. Ran multiple tries as Administrator, user, compatibility mode, debug mode. nada.
could not install the drivers.

i see all the files necessary right there but they don't clue me as to whether the driver files themselves are 32bit or 64.

any idea how to hack this in?

Answer:Kyocera Network Printer FAIL. supposedly Win7 Driver package

Short of just running the installer one quick and easy way to check is to locate any INF files and look for anything mentioning "AMD64", if that is present then the drivers will be/work on 64 bit Windows.

My  laptop is a Lenovo T61p running Windows 7 Enterprise. I use a Kyocera KCP650 cell phone modem which plugs into a PCMCIA slot as its internet connection. If I reboot the machine then the modem always works. If I unplug then re-insert the modem it
most likely will restart but not always. Likewise, if I put the machine into hibernation and then restart it then it will more often than not recognize and properly utilize the modem but not always.
In a failed condition, I can hear an audible confirmation that the system has recognized that something  has been plugged into the PCMCIA slot but the modem's lights are not lit. I can unplug and re-insert as many times as I'd like and will get the
audible indication that the system has discovered the new device but the modem's lights do not come on and the system insists that no modem is available. The only error indication I can find is a statement to the effect that the device driver could not be
loaded because one already has been. This is suggestive to me that the unplug event failed to properly close down the modem's device driver.
I've done the usual things, I've gone to the Lenovo and Kyocera sites, downloaded and installed the latest of everything that looks remotely useful. This has not improved the situation at all.
There are two possible desirable outcomes:
1) The best would be if someone could help me get the modem to properly start on the above described error condition.
2) Failing that, but I'd be s... Read more

Answer:Sometimes Kyocera PCMCIA cell phone modem doesn't start when plugged in

You need to discuss this with Kyocera.  The modem is over 5 years old and there is only one update for Windows Vista.  The is no information implying this is compatible with Windows 7.  Vista compatibility does not guarantee Win 7 compatibility.
Until Kyocera provides a solution to support Windows 7 you will never have full functionality and compatibility.
Sometimes Vista drivers can be installed in the Compatibility mode, but not always.Please remember to click ?Mark as Answer? on the post that helps you, and to click ?Unmark as Answer? if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Whenever I print to the shared printer on my Windows 7 desktop, the print job will just sit in the print queue. If I stop and then start the print spooler, the job will print. It happens from an XP laptop. Print jobs sent from the local Windows 7 computer print just fine.
How can i solve this one ? :(

This issue with some particular laptop running windows Xp and windows 7 Home

Answer:Whenever I print to the shared printer he print job will just sit in the print queue

So, the Windows 7 Desktop has the printer physically attached to it and it's shared?
And the XP laptop is sharing the printer through the network? If I understand you correctly?
If so, on the XP Laptop, go to Start/Run and type devmgmt.msc and press enter. Are there any devices with yellow flags? Or Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers is there an Unknown Device? Or any listings for the printer? If so, right click it and Uninstall it. Now go to Start/Run and type appwiz.cpl and press enter. In the Add Remove Programs uninstall any drivers or software for the printer. Now,go to Printers and Faxes, and if the printer icons is there, Right click the shared printer icon and Delete it. And Restart the computer. Now when the computer comes back up, go to the printer manufacturers support/download drivers site and type in the model# for the printer and download the driver for the printer for XP and install it. Now, go to Start/Run and type the computer name of the Windows 7 machine (ex) \\ComputerName and press enter. A window should open up with the shared drives on the 7 computer, with the shared printer. Right click the shared printer and choose Connect. This will add the printer to Printers and Faxes again. Right click this printer/Properties and print a Test Page.

Currently I have MS Works and access to MS Word. Am trying to do a couple different manipulations with text but don't know if this software has the capability.

1. I want to align text so that I can make a sort of template with that text arrangement and then using that template make annotations that I can print out separately onto a pre-printed sheet of the first document and the annotations will be in the correct spot. The problem I encounter is that the alignment is all weird and printing out the second document over the top of the first one ends up with text on text.

I am probably not explaining this very well. Picture in your mind say an application form with lines and blanks for you to fill in with your answers. Then picture me writing a document with the answers all formatted to fit exactly in those spaces on those lines. Then I feed the application form into my printer and print out my new document, thus filling in the blanks.

Do you know if that kind of thing can be done with Works or Word? Do you know of any free software with that capability?

2. OK....Here's a second scenario:

I would like to be able to print out a document angled at say 45 degrees to the left of the vertical, but justified to the margins of the page. I can angle say a text box, but this doesn't justify it. The end result of what I want is for the top line to say be 1-1/2" long, the second line to be say 1-3/4" long, the third line maybe 2" long, etc. increasing un... Read more

Answer:Aligning Text and Angling Text

Try using Courier font for the form problem. Other fonts use a different amount of space for l than it does for m. Compare the space used by 20 l and 20 m on any font but Courier. Then try it with Courier they will occupy the same space. That lets you align things more easily.

I would probably do the second in an image editor rather than word processor. There are some free image editors that will handle text. Of course a good image editor like PhotoImpact, Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop makes it very easy.

I also do forms in an image editor. I scan the form and use the text tool to fill in the blanks. But I think you could probably do it in Word with Courier font.

You might do better on the Business Applications forum there are some people there who really know Word.

Hello to all!

It has been a while since this problem first occurred. Now it has become unbearable. When I try to print, use print preview or enter page setup, Microsoft Word 2003 freezes. The same thing also happens with other Office 2003 programs like Microsoft Excel 2003.

I am not sure if there is a problem with my printer driver (the printer is an HP L2600n by the way) as I have reinstalled it many times AND I have no problem using it as a network printer and can print the same word documents FINE from laptops or other desktop computers in the house. Thus I know that the documents aren't corrupted. I can also print .pdf documents fine from this computer. I think this problem started when my laser printer driver 'disappeared' and when I tried to reinstall it I got a spool-related error. I reinstalled the spool driver and then when I tried to print a .doc file I was unable to do so. The problem may most likely be linked to Office 2003 itself but I have tried options like deleting the data key and renaming the normal.dot template, all which have failed to alleviate the problem.

I think that is all the information I can offer to assist anyone trying to help me with this matter, and I hope that the problem can be fixed without me having to reformat or something like that.

Thank you in advance.

P.S Not sure if this will also come in handy but my OS is Windows XP Professional SP2.

Answer:Office 2003 freezes when trying to print, use print preview or enter page setup

In Office, On the Help menu there is a 'detect and repair' option. It wouldn't hurt to run that. This could also be a sign that the hard drive is going bad (loosing stuff here and there)...

My laptop Equium M40X has suddenly decided to stop allowing me to print, giving me the message "Operation not completed. print spooler service not running". I get this message even when trying to install the print drivers that were originally installed.

To resolve this issue I have gone into the services.msc to try and start the print spooler but the command is not present there and seems to be missing. I have also tried to start this by clicking the start and then run and typing "net start spooler" but again this does not work. Can anyone help on this matter?

My laptop is an Equium M40X and the operating system is Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Answer:Equium M40X: Cannot print - Operation not completed. Print spooler service not running

Hi

This error occurs because the Spooler service has not been started or has stopped working.
It seems that this error message is known to the Microsoft and they decided to public an knowledge base article which could helps solving this issue.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314876

As you said the Spooler service must be started again.
To start the Spooler service, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
3. Double-click the Printer Spooler service, and then change the startup type to Automatic. This sets the Spooler service to start automatically when you restart the computer.
4. If you want to start the spooler service immediately, click the Start button under the Service Status field

If you will be not able to restart the Spooler service, you could try to restore the Windows OS to the early point using the Windows System restore tool.

Just migrated our office to a new Server 2012R2 Print server. about a dozen printers installed via GPO to Windows 7/64 workstations. Mostly HP's running Universal PS driver (6.1), plus the odd Kip plotter and Xerox Copier.   For maybe 4 users
out of 30 some, there is a printing problem. When a print job is sent, it appears in the queue and then is immediately deleted.   No other indication that anything is amiss. No events fire, no dimming of the icons or exclamation points,
 no error messages.
 That's the consistent part. There is also some inconsistent (but still bad) behavior I'm finding on the different PCs. For some, deleting and re-running gpupdate will  bring the printers back and printing properly, but only for a short time. Sometimes
only one or two printers will print, sometimes not. Sometimes logging in as a different user will install the printers, sometimes no.
 I've been fiddling with this over the past few days and gotten absolutely no where.  Now I don't know what to look at next. Any idea would be appreciated!

I have an HP C5280 printer running wirelessly via a TP Link wireless print server and D Link Di 624 wireless router. I can print successfully from either my desktop (which is connected direct to the D Link router) or either of my laptops (wireless). However, when I select the double-sided print option I get a print error message after re-inserting the odd number pages to print the other side of the paper and then click 'continue'.

Could I resolve this by connecting the printer both direct to the desktop using USB AND leaving it connected via the wireless TP Link print server? This would enable me to print double-sided from my desktop (as I did before when the printer was only connected via the USB desktop port).

Probably, unless the USB connection is already used with the print server.
