Hi: am getting a darn notice about a document viewer, Microsoft.NET framework notice and Windows Installer. Cannot get rid of any of them..Help!!!

Preferred Solution: Document Viewer

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Document Viewer

hi, do you have an HP printer? I think document viewer could be related to that. If so and you have the disk that came with the printer, try deleting the printer software (see if there is anything in Add/Remove Programs and also if document viewer is installed in the start up folder), and download from the disk again, or try the HP web site where there should be links to drivers etc.

Question: hp document viewer

When I try and access Hp's Image Zone Plus, a box will appear saying something like; "accessing document viewer". Then after a minute or so I get an error saying; " The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable and tells me to try to use source c\hp\tmp\src\setup\documentviewer. When I try this I get the message; "The path cannot be found". I am lost. Please help.

Answer:hp document viewer

Hi

What Windows version are you using?

Are there any files in this location c\hp\tmp\src\setup\documentviewer ?

If you have the original setup files or disk for HPs Image Zone Plus then re-install it.

Could also be if you haev reciently updated your Windows version, maybe one of these issues.

I would uninstall every version of MS.NET that appears currently in Add/Remove Programs. Don't worry about the security updates but remove if it says NET Framework or is a SP1, SP2, or SP3 for MS.NET. To remove these, you have to start with the latest edition that you have installed...and work upward to the oldest...if you don't do that, you will get messages telling you that they cannot be uninstalled. Then I would go to the MS.NET website and download the current version (3.5, SP1) to my desktop, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en.Having done that, I would run chkdsk /r (Start/Run...type chkdsk /r (with space between the k and /) and hit Enter or OK. Type Y in response to onscreen query and hit Enter or OK. Reboot the syatem. The chkdsk /r command will execute before booting into XP and the system will boot into XP automatically when the command has completed.Then...install the 3.5, SP1 edition of MS.NET.System manufacturer and model?Louis

I have windows xp (came with pc, so no disk) with this I run my HP all in one printer. I had a blip with the printer when it stoped printing only to find the usb had been un-plugged. I had kept trying to print and think this caused the problem I now have with the document viewer msi.
As the pc starts I get this message

"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removeable disk that is not available. Insert the "Document Viewer" disk and click ok "

The thing is I have no idea what disk is being asked for, any idea's!
Many thanks

Answer:Document viewer msi

Hi

Its likely to be the HP driver CD that came with your all in one printer, on the CD will be a folder called Document Viewer and in that will be a file called Document Viewer.msi install that as it seems yoru software may have gotten corrupted.

If you dont have the CD, then goto HP support and download the HP Full Feature software/driver for the all in one ( they tend to be around 200+ MBs ) you have.

Question: document viewer

I have a Logitech digital camera that I can hook up to my computer and make movies with or take pictures. I'll make a short video of my granddaughter and then go to play it back and I get a message saying that 'Please wait while Windows configures document viewer.' Then after this message I get another one saying, ' The feature that you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removable device disk that is not available.' Then another window pops up saying, 'Error 1706 No valid source could be found for product document viewer. Windows installer cannot continue.'
I've been using this camera for ages and I've never had any problems with it until now. It will record but it don't want to save it. What does this mean and what can I do to fix it?

Lizameth

Answer:document viewer

This seems to mean that the program set as default for your videos is not capable of playing them.
This may have been inadvertently changed at one time by some other installation.
What program is set as default?
What kind of files are they (What is the file extension)?
My Olympus camera uses a Quicktime format, but you may be able to use WMP or Winamp.

Issues:

1) When I plug in a USB stick or now my HP printer via USB, it says USB device not recognized. In Device manager one of the USB links says Device Unknown. Have gone through the troubleshooting guide but no help there. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP CD but when it gets to the connecting via USB it fails. Any ideas??

2) Document Viewer keeps starting automatically on start-up and will not quit even on Cancel. Have to shut by Task Manager. How to stop it?

Answer:USB & Document Viewer issues

1. Do all of the USB ports fail, or just some? Sometimes though they go bad, my two front ones don't work anymore, hardware failure.

2. Is Document Viewer something you installed on the PC? Is it a "Windows Installer" type box where it tries to install?

At first I thought it was only my printer......uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled.......etc. Then I tried to print as an XPS document and I get the same error messages. Example error message from Excel is "Your file could not be printed due to an error on Microsoft XPS Document writer". If I try the printer I get the exact same message. From Firefox I get "An unknown error occurred while printing." I have searched everywhere for a solution, I even restored as far back as I could but that was only a month ago. I can print from Notepad and Internet Exporer, both on the printer and XPS Document writer, I can also print a test page and an alignment page. Any ideas?

Solutions tried so far......

Malware scan, troubleshooter, reinstall of MS Office 2010, printer port checks, uninstall and reinstall of USB printer.

Answer:I cannot print any document other than notepad, IE or XPS Viewer

I just tried an Office printing troubleshooter page, it had me install a generic printer and try to print.....would not "print" or save the file in either Excel or Word

Answer:Document Viewer Tries To Install on Startup

1. Start - Search - DocumentViewer
The results ended up that the file was showing up on this location:
C:\temp\HP_WebRelease\Setup\DocumentViewer

2. Keeping that location in mind, open up any media file that will cause that error/install window to pop up and this time don't cancel the installation.

3. When the DocumentViewer file cannot be found, click on the Browse button and locate the folder where you found DocumentViewer in your search. There should be the file "DocumentViewer Windows Installer Packate" visible and select that file.

Try if it works... if not, download and install .Net Framework 2.0(x86) and its SP1 from here...
.Net Framework 2.0(x86)> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
Net Framework 2.0 SP1(x86)>
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Still doesn't work!!!

Download Windows Uninstaller Utility from here http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...bd/msicuu2.exe , and remove document viewer installer from the list...

I'm sure this issue will be resolved... :-)

Hi all,

Recently my one-year-old got ahold of my mouse and started clicking away. I believe he managed to erase an important file folder for my HP Image Zone/Document Viewer software. Now I can use Image Zone Express, but when I try to open Image Zone or the Document Viewer I get an error message that the path to

c:\hp\tmp\src\CDA\setup\DocumentViewer\

is unspecified. I did a little investigating and found out that the "tmp" subfolder is missing from the "hp" folder. I tried searching for it, also searching for the "DocumentViewer.msi" setup file, but I can't find them. I did contact tech support for a chat, but they say the only thing I can do is a System Recovery, and I don't feel like backing everything up and reinstalling everything I've ever downloaded. Does anyone out there running a pc with Windows XP Media Center Edition have the above folder or setup file, and would be willing to send it to me here? I would be very grateful. Also if you know of another way I could fix this problem, please let me know.

Thanks and have a great day everyone!

P.S. I did also try uninstalling the software and reinstalling it with the CD, but still a no-go...my "HPIZ" driver is still missing from C:\hp\drivers.

On occassional reboots of my pc I will have a program try to install a program named Document Viewer or sometimes call itself Photo Gallery. It will eventually ask me for an install cd which of course I don't have and it is looking for the file: DocumentViewer.msi

(This is associated to a file called gzmdhlpx.exe but right now I cannot remember how I figured that out.) I found that file in my Documents and Settings folder. I removed that manually but of course that did help remedy the situation. My antivirus and spyware detectors didn't find anything either.

I did a roll back which seemed to fix it for a while but now it is back. I need to help to get rid of this thing once and for all. Please help!

I have a 500 page report that was created and stored in Snapshot Viewer from a dynamic database on 8/31/2003. I had someone else run the report for me because I was out of town and it wasn’t until I needed the report information that I realized it is sorted by the wrong field.
I am looking for a solution, short of re-entering all of the data by hand to recreate the information in Excel and resort with subtotals by product category rather than by warehouse.
Is it possible to extract the information from Snapshot viewer and put it into Excel?
Copy and Paste the data?
Or some other means?
Thank you in advance for whatever assistance you can provide.

Answer:getting data out of a snapshot viewer document

Yvonne:

To my knowledge, this is not possible. Have them re-run the query.

If you absolutely can't do that, then the ONLY method (which sucks) that I can suggest (and it really sucks) is to print it, scan it with OCR software, and open it in Word. (Did I say that it would really suck to have to do that?)

Hi All,

i reckon this is quite a n00b question but here goes...

I need to edit a no. of microsoft excel sheets and word documents whenever I do documentation of a project. and it's really annoying as these documents reside in different places in my company's common server. And sometimes, i forget to update one doc and everything screws up.

I was wondering if there was any software that can open these documents together and link them in some way?

thanks!

Answer:Is there such a thing as a multi document viewer??

well, if they are all xls files, I think you can use Excel to link them all, as ole objects and them edit them that way. I'm not certain, but it's worth a try. I know you can setup your own program to do it too, but that probably isn't what you want to do...

What about using access?
What I would probably do for now, is create a folder with shortcuts to all the files, and then just edit them from there, so you don't need to find them each time.

Just remembered something... We just setup a program called Rational ClearCase, which manages all docuemtns for us. The only problem I can see, a side from cost, is how it manages them. Think of it as a library. You have to check the file in and out, so there is always a tracking key on it. But I think you can group files together, so that you have them as a whole...

Good luck

Hello,
I have had a lot of trouble with my pc running really crappy. I keep getting this strange box pop up that says Windows Installer- Installing Document Viewer. It then goes on to say it cannot locate the needed file to complete the action. At first I didnt think it was a virus , only a windows error of some type, however, my trend micro halts internet traffic. It also has popped up several messages that it prevented some trojans. I have trend micro PCcillin internet security 2006. It expires in Sept and has been updated everyday. It doesnt seem to prevent a lot of trojans, though. I finally ran Panda Activescan Pro which caught several viruses. Then , after getting several nasty popups, i called Trend micros tech support. They had me run their free online scan and it caught over 33 things. I also installed SuperAntispyware which caught too many too mention. I ran the panda in safemode as well as the super spyware. It finally shows clean and then today, I am back with this stupid box that pops up again.I am a computer dummy, so please be patient . If i have to use Hijack this or another program , please tell me step by step how to do it. I have been fooling with this for days. Please help. Thanks so much,

Hi Everyone,This is getting pretty specific, but I'm hoping there is another random online teacher using the Canvas Learning Management System with a Lenovo laptop who has some insight on this.  I have been in touch with Canvas support, and we have figured out the problem seems isolated to Lenovo laptops, hence my inquiry here. Here is the problem: Canvas recently switched from a document viewer and grading system called crocodoc to its own propriety document viewer.  After this change, the documents when viewed through the system have fuzzy text (like a bad scanned pdf or a typewriter with ribbon ink bleed).  See attached sample screen shots for old system (clear) and new system (blurry). I'm wondering whether this problem is related somehow to the Windows 10 Intel Graphics driver update issues that was prevalent this spring (see a link here on this).  If so, is there a fix? I know this is a long shot (dealing with a specifical laptop model and a specific learning management system function) but heck...I thought I would try.  I figure someone is boiling in record heat and stuck inside eager for a technical challenge ;-). ML

I have made a brochure (containing a table)in MS Word97 in *.doc format. The brochure needed to be transferred to my mother-in-law's PC for printing as we don't have a printer. Anticipating compatibility issues (we use MS Office on a system running Win98SE; she uses MS Works on a system running WinXP), I made one page and opened it on her PC. The PC read and printed my test document and I assumed it would work. I then spent the day making the brochure, FTPing and downloading it to her PC. Now when I go to open the documents, Works says that it can't read them (I tried various options - double-clicking to open; selecting different *.doc file extensions from the drop down menu etc). I downloaded the Word97 viewer from Microsoft and it, too, claims not to be able to read the documents. Is there anything I can do to make her PC recognise these documents? And why can't different Microsoft word processors read each other's file formats??? Arrrrrgh! Please help!Jill

Answer:Word viewer will not read Word document

Any version of Microsoft Word should be able to read a document from the same or an earlier version of Word. As long as you have saved the document as Word Document (*.doc). Opening the document from within Word is the safest way.

Find a .jpg file to open and right-click on it. Then click on "Open With" and then "Choose Program".

Select Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and check the box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

When saving a Word 2007 document as a webpage (htm, html), an extra folder is automatically created besides the hmtl document itself. This folder contains background information like pictures, wallpaper etc. Is there a way to prevent that folder from being created in the first place? I've got Word 2000 on another computer, and when I save my word documents as html files over there, that extra folder is not generated. The only time that folder is created in 2000 is if my documents contain pictures, wallpaper etc. In Word 2007, it is created all the time, even though my documents are just plain text.

Answer:Solved: Word 2007, saving document as html document: how to get rid of extra folder?

Managed to find the solution, it was very simple after all. One has to save the document as a filtered webpage and click "yes" when a box pops up warning you that you will use certain featuers which are specific to Office2007, such as the background. Then the document will save without that extra folder and files.

This is just one of those odd quirks I have run into. When I open a new document in Word, then open an older file, the new document closes and only the old one is displayed.Using Microsoft Office 2010, specifically Word.Windows 7 64-bitA bit of explanation, I often do research/writing for school or for fun. This issue has always happened, just one of those small annoyances. Here is the exact thing that is happening:1. I open a new (blank) word document, by clicking on the Word icon or by selecting "Open New Document" in the Word program.2. I open an older (saved) Word document, by clicking on the saved file, not by using the "Open" function in Word.3. The New (empty) document disappears, only the older document is open. I must now open a new empty document to write in. What I want to happen:1. Open new document2. Open old document3. Both new and old document are open (2 windows).Other notes in no particular order:- Word has always operated like this. Just wondering if there is a way to stop it.- I am not using the "Open" function in Word to open the older file, I am opening the older file by double-clicking it in the File explorer. When I use the "Open" function in Word, it does the same (basically "closing" the new file in order to open the old one). - I tried searching through Word's settings but couldn't find anything that seemed to relate to this behavior.- As per regular Word behavior, the new document is auto-na... Answer:Microsoft Word Question (Opening old document closes new empty document)

Yes, you are right. That is normal for MS Word.Do this:Open a new document. Type something. Even a single space. Save it with a name you want. Now open an older document. Both documents can be on the screen or cascaded. If memory is not an issue, you can haven two instances of Word.

I have two questions regarding documents created in Word 2007...

1) Can links be created within a Word document? For example, can I click on and item my table of contents and have the document jump to that particular section of the document?

2) Also, is there a way to make sections of the document hidden until the user clicks a specific word or graphic in the document?

I'd like to specify a particular instruction and include a "Show example" link that would make a detailed example appear for those who needed the extra help.

Thanks everyone!

Answer:Word 2007 - Links within a document? Hide/Show sections of a document?

If you created table of contents through References - Table of Contents, you can hold Ctrl and click on the item in that table, word will take you there. This feature is standard.

Also, to navigate inside document you can use bookmark option.
Insert bookmarks. Word 2010 Bookmarks
Then insert Hyperlink - in the window select second tab "Place in This Document" and choose your bookmark.

As for hiding parts of document, I do not think that is possible.
You can create that in HTML document with javascript, but not in Word document.

I am running XP and Word 2000 and Nortons. Word will crash if you leave the document open for a while (there is no specific time frame) and then select close (icon). The error - Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. The details are: AppName: winword.exe
appver 9.0.0.3822
Modname: kernel32.dll
modvers: 5.1.26002180
offset 0001eb33

This has pretty much happened since I got this laptop. I have reformatted and reinstalled everything (due to another problem) and still have the same problem with word. I have used the same CD on other computers to install word and they do not have the same problem.

I use a variety of templates and plain documents in my work and can not pin point it to one template.

If you leave Word open with a document (no matter what size) and come back to it later this is when the problem happens. I started to get around it my saving first then closing, but this no longer works. The save completes and then I select Close and this is when it happens - you get the dreaded pause and then you hear the whirl of the computer and then you get the Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. Firstly I could put up with it but is now just a nusiance.

Hi all.

The other day whilst in the throws of fixing another unrelated problem I came across a strange and annoying Word Document problem.

When I bought this word document up it present a very unusual icon. It was grayed out and part of the title contained a ~$ then the name of the document.

When I tried to open it, the word document only opened up to the gray page just before it should turn white displaying the text, and there it froze.

Nothing worked after that! The freeze was so bad that the only way to close the window was to turn the computer off at the tower.

After rebooting I tried it again 2 more times with the same problem freeze occurring in the Word document.

Today I again found another document that caused the same problem, this time the icon for that document was normal but right beside this icon was another malformed grayed out ~$(name) icon.

When I tried to open either of the 2 icons I got the same freezing up problem, just as before.

I tried a previously suggested step in that I opened "Word" and from there navigated to where the bad files were located.

In turn I only hi-lighted each, and at the bottom of that window clicked on the arrow for the drop down box.

I was advised that one of the presented options was to repair the file. No such option was present.

So there you have it. Any advice on this problem please?

Regards

Answer:[SOLVED] Word document freezes computer and document is corrupted

Hi all.

Just to advise that I am going to mark this topic as Solved......to a fashion so to speak.
I may resurrect it at a later stage if the problem re-presents it's self.

In a nut shell. I spent a lot of time today searching sites and performing tests including searches on my computer program.

I ascertained that all the aforementioned "defective " Word documents originated in the same folder. After performing several search functions with the criteria as ~$.doc no other such files were found on my computer, other that the already mentioned.

All tests suggested would not repair the said documents.

I have now deleted the offenders and I will monitor the situation. If I run into problems again I will re-post.

Thanks anyway.

This might be kind of tricky.

We're trying to streamline our RFQ-to-Quote process, which currently utilizes a combination of digital forms and hand-written forms passed among several departments. My boss asked me to modify the RFQ form to save him some typing (because he has to retype all the information in the final Quote), and I--not understanding the complexity of the process--very stupidly told him that it could be done fairly simply using form fields and bookmarks. He's been kind enough to grant me a lot of leniency because for him anything would be better than the current situation, so as long as I can improve on what we use now, he'll be happy.

I thought about creating form templates for each of the departments, then as the original RFQ circulated from one department to the next subsequent forms would be appended to it to create a rolling document. I'm not too happy with the that idea; there's all sorts of room for user error. I thought about creating a single document template containing every department's form, but a) I don't want any single department to be able to modify information gathered during another department's process, and b) certain departments must generate a variable number of copies of their form.

I told my boss the best way to accomplish a secure and low-maintenance RFQ-to-Quote would be to create a stand-alone Quote Generator application, but we both agree the effort is not condusive to the timeframe by whic... Read more

On my previous computer with Windows 2000, I was able to make incremental backups of a Microsoft Word document while it was being created by me. The advantage of this was that if an "accident" happened and the document was lost or corrupted before it was completed or saved to a folder, the partially completed document could be retrieved from a special folder somewhere in C-drive. I was able to specify how often a new backup was created (ex.: every 3 minutes, ex.; every 10 minutes, etc.). It is possible that this special folder also contained backups of all previously saved Word documents, which were also being re-backed up every few minutes. -- I cannot find any reference to this on my new computer (Windows XP and Microsoft Word 2002) in the Windows search engine, or in the Word user interface "Help". I cannot remember how I found this feature on my previous (W~2000) computer. -- Thanks

I was working on a Word document that someone sent me by email in form of rar and saved the document. I now can't find the revised file and I have lost about 8 hours of work. Any ideas on where I can find this file? I looked in the email that was originally sent, but it is still the old file. I have also done searching on my computer with no luck. Help, I'm desperate!!! I have Word 2007. Please give me reply as soon as possible.

Answer:Cannot find the saved revised document in Word document

If you were only hitting "Save" and not "Save As" the document is likely, unfortunately, gone. You can try opening Word by itself and going through recent documents to see if it shows up. If you opened it directly from the email and the email was in Outlook, you might be able to find it in the Outlook Secure Temp Folder. To get to this folder, the easiest way is to send yourself a PDF file, open the PDF from the email then go to File | Properties and on the General tab (this is from memory, so I might be off a little bit) you'll find a location that you can click on. In this folder, you have a slight chance of finding the modified file. The only other option you have, that I can think of, would be digging through your temp folders hoping to find a .tmp or .doc file in there that has the content, but I give that about a .01% chance of happening. Good Luck!

Hi,

I work at a small non-profit and we have updated two computers with new computers running Windows 7. We use MS Word 2003. I have checked all threads on forum related to this issue, but nothing seems to correct our problem. I would be grateful for any help.

Description of issue: With a Word document open, one should be able to click "File" > "Send To" > Mail Recipient As Attachment", or any of the other mail options, and have the email composition window of Thunderbird pop up. What happens is that Word is attempting to send the attachment via Windows Live Mail. The computer basically freezes. If you try and abort or get out of Word, and error pops up stating you can't close Word until the email has been sent. Finally, you have to force a shut down of the computer.

Internet Explorer shows Thunderbird as default email client. I have check all of the other obvious places for setting the default email client, but I can't seem to find a conflict anywhere on the computer showing Windows Live Email as default client.

As a side note, this employee was using Outlook Express as their email client prior to the computer upgrade and all setting were imported into Windows Live Mail, which was initially used. The employee did not like Windows Live Mail, so I installed Thunderbird. It is used as the default email client and the only issue has been with Word. Additionally, I know that the document could be sent from Windows Explorer by right-cli... Read more

Hi....
I'm using word 2010.
I have a Mailmerge document (actually a company letter with header and footer, used by a package called "Cash4Windows" [C4W]). This document usually has the recipients name and address etc. inserted by C4W.
The document is a template - "xxx.dotx".
What I want to do is strip out the Mailmerge fields and save the document as a normal Word 2010 document, 'cos the User wants to have a blank standard company document available.
I've spent a long time fiddling with the Header and Footer to get just what the User wanted, and I know i could just cut-n-paste the Header and Footer into a new document, then save it as "xxx.docx", but when I looked on various help sites the normal method in Word 2010 seems to be
on the ribbon tab
Select Mailings
Select "Start Mail Merge"
Select "Normal Word Document"
then save the Word document.
I've tried this and it has absolutely no effect, as when I close and reopen Word and select the previously saved document, I still get the "Opening the document will run the following SQL command" splash screen!
I've tried saving the "normalised" document with various different extensions, but nothing seems to get rid of the SQL.
I've also tried opening the VBA editor (Alt+F11) to see if I can find the SQL, thinking that if I can delete the SQL it might cause Word to avoid the prompt, but I can't even find the SQL!!!
I know I'... Read more

Hello

I don?t know what you mean with laptop keeps sending the document but if you have this issue with office word or some other office application, try to check some forum where you can find discussion about similar theme.

I can not give you any precise answer but it is maybe because of office specific settings or you press accidentally some key on the keyboard and on this way interrupt symbols entering.

Now the problem is i need a backup of each letter on my computer and i have no clue if its even possible to save each page in the master document as a unique document. If not, is there a way of saving each unique document of a mail merger?

Answer:Word Document within another document

The only simple way is to go to Insert, Object, Create from file and choose to insert your file as a link (these are 2003 instructions - would be similar in 2007, though.) However, you will then get a questions about the file having links and do you want to update...every time you open the file.
You could also just insert some text and hyperlink it to the other file.
Finally, someone could probably write some VBA that would insert the file and update it every time you opened it.

If I set her default font to Times New Roman it will stay for creating new documents from within Word. If she goes the other route mentioned above to create a new document it will always default to Courier. Also when she tries to save the document with the Save As item it defaults to txt instead of a .doc file. I am thinking there are two different templates for these two seperate ways of opening or creating a document.

OS is XP Pro
Word 97 SR-2B

Thanks!

Question: Need a eps viewer

Hola
I need to find a good eps viewer, it does not need to be free, it needs to be good.
Don't need to convert from this to that, only if I can "look" at the eps, it will work for me.
I can look at gogle or yahoo, but need your opinion first in whatever program that you are using now.

Thanks

Question: VNC Viewer

I'm running VNC on my home computer and when I'm at school I'd like to be able to connect to it so I can do some things while at school.

My cable modem is connected to a router, and from the router it is connected to a switch, and from that switch it is connected to my computer.

When I'm trying to connect remotely on my laptop from school what IP address would I enter? The one that's displayed from http:///www.ipchicken.com ? or is it different. And, do I have to forward any ports at all?

Answer:VNC Viewer

You would have to forward the default listen ports for VNC to the specific machine you wish to connect to. Those ports however, I'm unsure of but i'm positive you'll find them on realvnc.com somewhere.

Answer:tv viewer

There are several dozen different Monitor/TV makes and models on the market, not all of which may do PIP (picture in picture) that you want.

There is no way we can guess what make or model you have, so anyone that has a similar model can help you.

I'm having difficulty finding a freeware, shareware or free trial program that allows me to view .ai files.

Is there such a thing?

I only need it to get 3 or 4 files so it's not worth me investing in one. I have the jpeg versions of the files but they're really jaggy so I'm in need of these .ai ones.

Any help is much appreciated.

Some time ago I had some problems with spyware and a virus embedded in my MS media player.
I have resolved the spyware issues but can no longer use MS media player.

I have also lost the ability to use the MS pic and fax viewer in XP.
When I try to open a jpg or tiff file with ms pic and fax viewer, upon double clicking it nothing would happen.
So I reassigned IE to open these type of files, however without the use of MS pic and fax viewer I can no longer do simple tasks such as seeing previews or turning pic and such without taking them one by one into PS

Anyone who can help resolving these issues?

thanks

BTW....I have sp1 installed

Answer:wj viewer

Hello patches

Download / Install / Update / and Run:

Adaware SE
Do an indepth scan and check for updates before scanning.
It wouldn't hurt to get the VX2 Plugin .
Just save it to your machine and open Adaware and click Add-ons, click it once and click Run tool.

Hope this helped

Question: pdf viewer

can anyone recommend a pdf viewer that can span 6 pages across three monitors. currently adobe x pro cant do it and microsoft word can. but the problem is pdf to word messes up and includes like 200 more pages when i convert like ,,a 1000 page file.

whats like the second best going apart from acrobat. ill try foxit, i heard of that.

Answer:pdf viewer

There's also NitroPDF, they have a free reader.
Some people swear by Sumatra, I've never tried it though.

Out of the free ones where printing is not a requirement, I prefer Nitro more than Foxit.

If these are print sensitive where the formatting has to remain intact, your best bet is Acrobat though (even though that doesn't work for spanning it). I've had issues with free PDF readers not printing fonts correctly (even simple fonts like Arial or Helvetica), whereas Adobe Reader or a full Acrobat does it just fine.

Question: .plt viewer?

Does anyone know if there is a free download somewhere on the net for a .plt viewer? Or where I could get one cheaply?

thanks

Answer:.plt viewer?

I did find a <a href="http://www.trixsystems.com/forms/tdctrreq.html">demo of Trix Drawing Center</a> which will allow you to view CAD files. The full version is $129.50 (but, hey, they offer a money back guarantee!)
Here's a few other places you may want to check:

Question: .ppt viewer

Hi,
I'm looking for a small program that would be able to view PowerPoint 2002 presentations on computers that dont have PP2002 installed. Also it would be nice if there was no installation involved, so that I could just launch the program from a CD.
Thanks
