any way to attach email item to new email ?

Question: any way to attach email item to new email ?

Outlook email client has a very useful feature where you can 'attach item' which can be another email to the one you are sending . This can be very useful when you want to refer to this email in the new one.
Thunderbird, as far as I can see, does not have this feature.
I know it can be done byopening the email , select all , copy and paste but that is time consuming.
Does anyone know of any addon or other way which can achieve this ?
Thx,
-keevill-

Preferred Solution: any way to attach email item to new email ?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I assume your referring to Thunderbird.

I have a word document that includes a form the user must fill in. I want to create a button that will do all of the following:
1. Update all fields
2. Attach the updated word document to an email
3. Enter an address I have stored in the macro into the To field of the email.

I have one module which does the first part:
Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim oStory As Range
For Each oStory In ActiveDocument.StoryRanges
oStory.Fields.Update
If oStory.StoryType <> wdMainTextStory Then
While Not (oStory.NextStoryRange Is Nothing)
Set oStory = oStory.NextStoryRange
oStory.Fields.Update
Wend
End If
Next oStory
Set oStory = Nothing
End Sub

I found that if I add this to the before End Sub it attaches the updated Word document to an email:
Application.Options.SendMailAttach = True 'Or False
ActiveDocument.SendMail

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

So I tried another tact. I have the email address as a hyperlink in the document, and set a bookmark at the hyperlink. Then I created a module that will go to the bookmark and open the hyperlink. However, this will not add the document as an attachment:

Sub Open_Hyperlink()
Selection.GoTo What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="hyperlink"
With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.DefaultSorting = wdSortByName
.ShowHidden = False
End With

Selection.Range.Hyperlinks(1).Follow NewWindow:=False, AddHistory:=True
End Sub

So then I found this bit of coding on the web, and tried imp... Read more

Answer:Word Macro to attach doc to email, then send address email

I found a solution, but I think it is a bit bulky. It seems to work but I'd love to know if there is a simpler solution:
Sub CommandButton1_Click()

For Each oStory In ActiveDocument.StoryRanges
oStory.Fields.Update
If oStory.StoryType <> wdMainTextStory Then
While Not (oStory.NextStoryRange Is Nothing)
Set oStory = oStory.NextStoryRange
oStory.Fields.Update
Wend
End If
Next oStory
Set oStory = Nothing

ActiveDocument.Save

MsgBox "Thank you. Your order has been sent", vbOKOnly, "Thank you. Your order has been sent"
Dim bStarted As Boolean
Dim oOutlookApp As Outlook.Application
Dim oItem As Outlook.MailItem
On Error Resume Next
If Len(ActiveDocument.Path) = 0 Then 'Document has not been saved
ActiveDocument.Save 'so save it
End If
Set oOutlookApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application")
If Err <> 0 Then 'Outlook isn't running
Set oOutlookApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
bStarted = True
End If

Set oItem = oOutlookApp.CreateItem(olMailItem)
With oItem
.To = "[email protected]"
.Subject = "Promo Order" '
.Body = "Thank you for your order"
.Attachments.Add Source:=ActiveDocument.FullName, Type:=olByValue
.Send
'**********************************

End With
If bStarted Then 'If the macro started Outlook, stop it again.
oOutlookApp.Quit
End If

Need some help here. I'm using a Compaq Evo1000c older laptop running MSXP. I'm using Yahoo email in Internet Explorer and find I can not attach files, etc. When I try to attach the window stays the same or bounces back to the email and does not go in to the attach option. When writing an email and want to send an article from the Internet Express side, how do I attach it to the email??

Answer:How to attach something to an email??

Hiya

I take it you are using Outlook Express. There is a paper clip that when yoy place the mouse over it it says Attachment. Then you browse in your computer for it.

If its a Web page, you can do the same if its downloaded or you can type in the URL in the body of the message.

Using Outlook Express 6 in Windows XP SP2, when I try to attach a digital photo file to an email, it attaches in the full size (full number of KB), which is too large--takes too long to send and receive and won't fit on a page. When I open the picture in MyPictures (in Word 2002) and click on "send this by email", a form to send an email pops up. I can enter an address and a message, but there is no way to send that email. I know there is a way to do this because of pictures I have received, but I can't find it. Thank you for the help.

Answer:Attach images in email

ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

paste this into Google search and download and run it (from Microsoft.)
It allows you to right click on a photo and make a reduced size named PHOTOXXXsmall.jpg and doesn't affect the original. That small photo is perfect for emailing.

Answer:How to attach a Notepad doc to an email

As best I know "all" email utilities (on-line - pop3 - email application, and MS Office\Outlook & Express) allow you to attach a file or folder.Which email application are you actually using?When you create your Notepad document you simply save it, and remember where you put it. That is the location where you go to when attaching the file.You may not have notepad installed, possibly you have wordpad instead? Both create text files (txt) so either would do.To start either application, go to Start\run and then type notepad or wordpad and press enter.If you don't have either installed they can be downloaded for free.

I can no longer attach files (of any size or type) to outgoing web-based emails. I have tried attaching various files in Yahoo Mail and Gmail. Both give me a "working" or "scanning and attaching" message and either time out entirely or never get past the attaching screen. I have not recently installed any software or updates, though Windows did download a new "Definition Update for Windows Defender" recently.

I tried uninstalling AVG 8.0 but this did not work. Since uninstalling AVG I have no other anti-spyware running aside from Windows Defender. I tried clearing all cookies, temp files, etc and resetting my browser to a lower security setting. Nothing works. I get the exact same problem in Firefox 3.0.5 as well as IE 7. I have added Gmail as well as Yahoo Mail as exceptions to the pop-up blocker.

I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit on an Acer PC. I have no problem downloading attachments from emails I receive however. Please help as I must be able to email attachments for work.

Have you tried getting your anti-virus up then disabling windows defender temporarily (anti virus up for protection reasons) then try attatching something to an e-mail. If it works then you should try to either keep the defender down, with some other form of protection, or you should just try to troubleshoot the defender.

When using IE and I want to attach a file or photo within a folder to an email, a few of "MY Documents" folders don't show up when I click "attach" and the IE box opens for downloads showing all my folders in "MY Documents" or "My Pictures." All the folders are there when I use my computer for Office or Windows Photo Gallery. I downloaded another browser and tried it. That works fine but I like IE and don't want to switch. Right now to attach most photos or a file to an email, I have to save it to my desktop so I can get to it to attach to an email. It's only certain folders not showing to try and download/attach from "My Pictures" and "My Documents." I've tried everything I know and have read on Tips for solving....IE. Hi,

Suddenly I cannot attach pictures to email using Windows Picture & Fax Viewer, Paint Shop Pro or any other program. At first I thought it was Windows P & F Viewer's fault, but when I tried to send an image using the "Send Mail" option in PSP too, I realized it is a general problem. Windows P & F Viewer does open the resizing box, but after that, nothing happens.

I posted my problem in a Microsoft Group where I was helped, but no solution could be found.

When I tried sending a picture using Windows P & F Viewer using Netscape as default, I got this error message:

"Command Line Usage is Incorrect"

Even using the "E-Mail Page" option in IE does nothing. It's like suddenly the option of attaching anything to an email has disappeared from my system.

I sure hope someone has had this problem here and can help. I have a new grandson and really love the option of resizing before sending of Windows P & F Viewer.

Help!!

Thank you,

Glo
I even performed a Repair install of XP and no go.

Hi-- I recently received an e-mail with an image (painting) not "attached" (hidden) but rather inserted and viewable with the text. I asked sender how this was done and was told to "right click the mouse in the body of the email, one of the options is 'insert a picture.' " I tried this and an insert option did not appear.

If I could accomplish this insertion it would be an extremely eye-catching and useful tool (I'm an artist) in communication with very busy recipients, who wouldn't have to open an attachment. Does anyone have a clue as to how to achieve this? Thanks, folks

Hello.

Running Win XP Home Edition. Three year old PC. Cable modem. Never encountered this problem before: I can attach .doc or .xls files to any email and send it - no problem. But if I attach .jpg or .mp3 files - anything big - I lose my internet connection until it resolves itself within the usual 30 seconds-or-so. I used to be able to send I think up to 10 megs at a time worth of .mp3's from my Yahoo webmail account in a single email, never had a problem - until this started up. Mind you this started happening about the same time I installed an internet filter on my PC - I'm not sure, this was months ago, and I did notice the problem starting some months ago - a coincidence?

I disabled the filter - still had the problem. I deleted the filter - rebooted and everything: still have the problem. I checked with my ISP - the guy said they could help me if this were a problem arising from use of THEIR email account, but they didn't know of a problem with other webmail accounts. Check with Yahoo, he said. Asking Yahoo anything is like throwing a bottle out to sea with a message in it. Yes, I tried it too. What else can I tell you... running the Windows firewall? That can't be it. Norton Antivirus - hell I'm about to start looking at Active Desktop functions... Help!

Thanks.

Answer:Can't attach large files to email

I forgot to mention that even trying to send an email (with "large" attachment) via a service site like yousendit.com, that still doesn't work - lose the internet connection as well. Therefore the problem seems to be in the uploading part. Thanks.

Hi guys,

I am finding it difficult attaching office documents and pdf's in my email. when i attach them, it comes up with errors meaning that the data is unreadable. I upgraded to office 2002 not too long ago and i don't know if this started the problem. I reinstalled offce 98 and the problem still persists. I installed Norton antivirus and Mcafee and have removed the option that allows for documents to be scanned b4 opening.

Whenever i open a document (word, excel, powerpoint and access) it says "requesting virus scan" which means that somehow its scanning the documents making them unreadable when sent via email. this never use to happen. Is there anyway of fixing this problem via the registry or something?

all help would be appreciated.

So they asked me an access question and I really couldn't help them out... I'll do my best here to explain it but Iv never used access so obviously I don't know much about it lol but here goes, you open access and within access they open a file which opens, what seems like another program where they can see and search for their invoices from customers and that sorta thing. Now their question is when they have an invoice open how can they attach that invoice to an email and send it to a customer? I can't even figure out where these invoices are being saved to... prolly seems like a dumb question but like i said I'v never used access so yea lol any help would be great

Answer:how do I attach access files to an email?

Get a PDF printer like CutePDF or PrimoPDF and have them print the invoice to PDF. When those programs are installed they basically include a PostScript PDF printer which creates a PDF file. Then they just attach that PDF to their email and send it.

The "browse" button does not open for me to search and install photos or files to my emails. I also can no longer right click and save photos. Both problems began at the same time. I have been able to attach the same photos prior to this happening. I have cleared the cache but this hasn't helped. I asked Yahoo for assistance but they are unable to offer any suggestions. Would appreciate any advice .

All of a sudden this evening I can no longer attach multiple images/files to an email. Neither does the "Control-A" or click on a file hold "shift" and click on another file work.

Also when I attach a single file instead of giving me the progression bar it almost instantly indicated the file is attached.

Of course this is irritating as multiple time a day I will send emails with images attached and I have to have this feature working.

Hello chums

I have a customer database with all of the tools to send emails to recipients from the database. That works great and, using "ClickYes", the level of unmanned sending gets me round spamming limits at the ISP level too.

My latest request is to be able to add PDF (or other) attachments to the email.

In my VBA code, I have a snippet of code that says:
Code:
With oMail
.to = strEmailAddress
.body = Me.txtEmailMessageContent.Value
.Subject = Me.txtEmailSubjectMatter.Value
.Attachments.Add ("C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\testdocument.pdf")
.Send
End With
With this code in place, Access sends the email to the variable 'strEmailAddress' with the attachment shown in the path, and hardcoded in VBA its great.

I'd like however to be able to navigate to the file I want to attach, so its not dependent on the filename being coded.

I once created some VB code (as opposed to VBA) that opens a dialogue box to let me nagivate to the file I want to choose, but, before I go around the houses, would that VB code (written in VB6) be suitable for my Access concept? Will it drop straight into my VBA?

Hope VB/VBA gurus can guide me here!

Thanks

Chris

I saved a file to my desktop/documents folder. When writing an email, I clicked on the paperclip (attach file) icon and it brought up the drop down menu of everything. When I clicked on the documents folder and then searched for that same file it didn't appear. It still appears on the desktop folder though.
So, how can I ensure whatever I save gets saved everywhere or is findable when I try to use email attachment?

It now takes 3 minutes or so to attach any size file to an email program.

It is the same for both Outlook Express and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Everything else seems to be working okay.

I suspect it may be associated with filepicker but I am not sure.

Have Norton firewall and Avast antivirus running, and have run Ad-aware and Spybot.

Does anybody know why I can't email my contacts to someone as a pst file in Outlook 2003?

I can do it in 2002 no problem...

Actually, I can send the contents of the folder if I select all the contacts and drag them onto the email page, but not as a pst file.

Is this something you can't do in Outlook 2003?

Hello all.

I keep getting those two small boxes messages on my laptop once I attach a word file in my email to send. What this means and how to get rid of it as its annoying. My word is original and not pirated. Plus I upgraded my Window 7 to window 10 which kept popping in and it's free from the Internet. Pls advise.

i tried to attach but the net is weak enough to upload and thats why duplicate. I will write what the two boxes show:

first one: says: u cant close the Microsoft office box because a dialogue box is open. click ok, switch to word, and then close the dialogue box.

second one: says: which is behind the first box: word has encountered a problem.

and nothing worked.

Hi,

I am currently unable to attach any sort of file when composing an email within Yahoo. When I attempt to attach files the browser will hang until I cancel the message or return to the previous page. I have a 25Mb account, of which I am only using around 50%. I am able to receive emails with attachments and I can open and/or save these successfully. I do not encounter this problem within my Hotmail email account.

I am not able to pinpoint exactly when this problem started within my Yahoo account.

A few things I have installed on my PC:
* Internet Explorer v6.0
* McAfee Internet Security Suite 2004 v6.0
* Tiscali Boradband connection

Any help gratefully received!

Cheers...

I routinely attach files to outgoing email messages sent from Outlook 2002 (Outlook in Office XP).  Sometime around last spring I found I was not able to attach certain files but was able to attach others of the same type and from the same directory.  Example:  I have a folder named "Info for Models".  Amongst files in the folder are "Info1_Invitation.pdf", "Info2_More_Details.pdf", "Info3_Model_Guide.pdf", "Sample_Resume.pdf" and so on.The trouble began when I attempted to attach my Info1 file and my Sample Resume file to an email message I was preparing to send out.  I got this message:  "Can't create file: Info1_Invitation.pdf.  Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder."This only occurred for this one file.  I could attach the other files.  I renamed Info1_Invitation.pdf to Info1a_Invitation.pdf and then was able to attach the renamed file successfully.Then a few days later another file failed to attach.  I found I was unable to attach "Sample_Resume.pdf" to an outgoing message.  I searched the Internet for cures.  I wound up changing the pointer to "Temporary Internet Files" from "C:\Documents and Settings\dmckeen\temp\Temporary Internet Files" to "C:\temp\Temporary Internet Files".  I made the change from &qu... Hi,
I have looked at a few similar posts on this, but the suggested actions have not fixed my issue. Hoping for some help here, please.

I have a client machine; Aspire X3900 running MS Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. We get a blue screen of death BSOD In MS Outlook 2010 when trying to add an attachment to an outgoing email, literally:
- open new email
- attach
- try and open a folder or attach a doc

Client reckons they have not installed any updates, new gear or made changes. I wonder if some Windows Updates may have been applied though.

MAIN PROB IS TRYING TO STOP BSOD WHEN TRYING TO ATTACH A FILE TO A NEW EMAIL

Error is:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 3081

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1e
BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005
BCP2: FFFFF8800808FC70
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

I've tried uninstall MyWinlocker but prob remains

Confusing in this is Windows tries to apply two critical updates. When these install the system gets BSOD on startup.
Safe start works OK
I can then do a restore and get back to where I was in trying to fix initial error, though on next start Windows Update again tries to install the critical updates and we go round in a circle. The updates are mandatory applied when trying to do a shutdown.
The updates causing this issue are KB2898869 and KB2901126

Answer:BSOD when trying to attach files to a new Outlook 2010 email

Hi there,

Your dumps are pointing to Kaspersky,

Code:
nable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\kl1.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for kl1.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for kl1.sys
Driver Reference Table - kl1.sys

For the time being, try uninstalling that and install Microsoft Security Essentials which we know does not cause BSOD's.

For this,

Quote:
The updates are mandatory applied when trying to do a shutdown.

You can disable that following this tutorial,

Shut Down Windows - Enable or Disable "Install Updates and Shut Down"

The mention of registry repair is a red flag, those programs are usually more harm than good.

You also mention Norton, I hope there isn't more than one active Anti-Virus on there as well.

We prefer you follow these instructions when uploading the dumps and other info,

Hi there, I was hoping someone can help me. I have suddenly started having trouble finding files that I want to attach to an email, or upload to my art site. The files I am looking for in the attachment or upload browse lists are not there, but they are in the program folder where I saved them. I dont know what has changed, must be some setting. The files I am looking for are saved in my Paint Shop Pro 7 program in the "Images" folder as jpegs. I have Vista Ultimate, but I have done this many times before while using Vista Ultimate and not had any problems..so I am thinking it is something to do with some setting either in my PSP 7 program or some other setting and not a compatibility issue, although I thought I read they are not compatible, but I know I have been able to do this before. Also something might have been changed with the Windows photo gallery while I was trying to fix it...(aka, yes I was messing around with default stuff) Please help, its driving me crazy and Im wanting to upload my newest painting...finally finished it!

I haven't had this issue until this weekend, but in Outlook Express, when I attempt to attach a file to a new message, Outlook Express hesitates for a fraction of a second, then it crashes completely. I tried going to my online Hotmail account, and when I start a new message from there, as soon as I hit the "attach file" link, internet explorer flashes for a second, then it goes back to my inbox page, closing the new message window. I get the feeling from what I've read online that this is a registry issue, but I can't find where the registry mentions attaching a file to any mail client? Help, any ideas??

Hello,
I just moved into a high-rise in the city, and every time I try to attach a file, it never attaches, it attempts to for a long while but never successfully attaches. I first noticed the problem when I was using the free wireless in the lobby of my building. I got tired of going down there all the time to do my work, so I bought wireless with Solnet (Solnet is the same internet service provider the entire building uses). But am still having the issue of not being able to attach. I'm using my wireless router (a berklin) to connect. I took my laptop over to my friends apt (literally 2 blocks away, she has comcast), and I can attach fine over there! Also have tried attaching at my parents house and again files attach just fine. So I?m thinking it has something to do with my building? Or the internet connection with my building? Is there some sort of setting I need to put my computer on for it to allow me to attach files again? My internet speed looks good at 12mphs?so I don?t think it?s the speed. Is something being blocked? I have tried on firefox 5.0 and IE 6.

Any ideas?
Any help would be great, thank you.

I have windows XP.

Many e-mail providers limit the size of an attachment you can forward, but most of them allow at least 1MB or better. Check with your e-mail provider and see if that's the issue."Channeling the spirit of jboy..."

I have been told that one cannot just attach your resume that is in Word to my Yahoo email. Told it isn't viewed properly. Am told there is a way to do it but can't get anyone to tell me how nor can I find where to get the info. I only know computer basics.

Thanks,

Kay

Answer:How to attach Resume in Word to Yahoo email so it is viewed correctly.

If you attach it in attachments and it will be sent by Yahoo! email.

How it would be shown depends on where you sent it and how the receiver opens email (using email clients, web mail and then what kind of web mail). In most email clients and email websites it would be shown as an attachment and wont be opened unless you click on it. While other email websites like GMail would give you an option to view it as html, view using google documents or download.

So it all depends who opens your email and how.

Hello everyone!
I'm ex-user of blackberry now I've been shifted to windows phone (Lumia 520) and I find it very interesting in many ways.... Lumia 520 have exciting features and after the recent update actually I've started loving windows phones.
My question is if I receive a pdf file in email how could I save that file on my phone or sd card? And can reuse it to forward to my clients? Actually we receive a lot of pdf files (documents) in emails and we have to fwd those docs to our clients in separate email. I searched and I learned that all the pdf files or MS Office files opened over the phone will appear in pdf reading app or in office app but when I try to save those files from the email the options appears to be inactive.
Your help and suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

We have initiated standard signature and stationary at work. One person has complained that after setting up the stationary/signature they have an attachment automatically created when replying to emails that were received with an attachment. The automatically created attachment seems to be a link to their temp folder. No one else complains about this (yet) and I'm sure it's a setting somewhere, but I can't find any information about it.
Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2002.

Thanks so much!

I have been experiencing intermittently for months the failure to attach files in web mail applications opened in 'Edge' , I have variously cleared cache - everything - and rebooted - with some success previously - but this morning no joy - so I have
files to send but this 'windows 10' system browser won't attach them ?  I gave up trying to use google chrome in windows 10 month ago as it was so unstable - why on earth can the worlds 2 largest computer company's just sort it out !
and windows - I can assure you as a reluctant recruit to windows 10 at the start , my reluctance has been vindicated - this windows 10 system is NOT what it is claimed to be - full of glitches and fails - most disappointing IMHO !

I can't even send an email attachment in the official windows browser !

HELP !

thanks

I have Mozilla Thunderbird as my default email client. Also, my Explorer right-click menu lists Thunderbird as an option.

I'd like to have no default email client. Also, I'd like to get rid of the Thunderbird right-click Explorer menu choice.

Are there ways to accomplish this?

Thanks.

Answer:Want to: i. delete default email client; ii. remove right-click menu item

The following may help you remove Thunderbird from the right click context menu: Edit Context Menu Items In Windows 7 & Vista. If you can't do it through the registry, then try one of the free tool options. Before touching the registry, create a system restore point and backup the registry to be on the safe side - post back if you need help with those procedures.

While it is easy to change the default e-mail client, I don't know how to prevent the system from having something setup as the default, Why do you want no default e-mail client? If you do that (assuming it is even possible), then you will be unable to click on e-mail links to send messages. What problem is having a default e-mail client causing that you are trying to avoid? Perhaps there's some other solution.

I hope this at least partially helps.

Good luck!

I have a situation where someone has 2 email addresses. One of them is now redundant and I have deleted it from the People section. However, when I am set to make a new email to that person and type the first letter of their name, in the pop up window (that you can click on) their old email address still appears.
How do I delete this from that list? Can find no way to do so.

Answer:Outlook Email - Deleting Wrong Email Entry when starting new email

In new email, start typing the address you want to remove. When you have enough characters for auto complete to show it (sometimes one letter is enough), use DOWN ARROW key on keyboard to select the address in question and press DEL key.

That's it.

Hi guys, I need some help with an issue in Outlook 2002I'm working for a photography studio doing some graphic design and stuff.We're about to send out our first email newsletter from our database program "StudioPlus".The issue is:When I'm sending the emails through Outlook 2002 i get a pop up box for every single email I'm trying to send (over 1000) I get a notice saying:"A program is trying to automatically send e-mail on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No"."Below there's a box for "Yes" and "No"The problem is there is no "Yes to all", "Always allow StudioPlus to send email" option or anything like that.There is even a time delay of 5 seconds!! on every dialog box before I can press the "Yes" button.If any of you could give me some tips on this, I'd greatly appreciate it!Thanks,Anders

Answer:Outlook 2002: External program sending email (item.send command)

Have a look here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290499/EN-US/ it seems you have to give your external program permission to use the outlook send/receive command via an SDK kit.

I have a new ASUS notebook and it uses Windows 8. On my home pc I have Windows Vista and was able to set up multiply email accounts in Window Live Mail. (my charter, my hubby charter, 2 school google accounts and yahoo)
I was able to read mail coming thru our main email acct (my charter), if an email came thru that needed to go to my hubbys account or another account I was able to drop and drag it to the other account listed on the screen.

I have most of my emails set up on my new ASUS notebook. Is there any way to drop and drag emails from one account to another? I can drag the email and hover over the new email account, but it does not drag it.

Thanks for any help. I am new to the notebook thing and windows 8.

Answer:Move email from one email accout to another email account

If you are using Live Mail on both Windows 7 and Windows 8, use the instructions in this video - Windows 8 Tips: Moving Live Mail From Windows 7 - YouTube

This technique works WAY better than exporting and reimporting them.

I used to work on Windows 7, I use to open my email and just make a click on the attached file (PDF for example) then just a simple click on Quick Print icon and that's it, the PDF file goes directly to the printer -no need to open the file-, so NOW on Windows 8 when I make a click on the attachment and, at the time to send to the printer, the file is opened and then I need to print it from there. The thing is that I need to print several files from several email daily. What I used to take me a few minutes to do it now I take a lot of time to do finish it.
Please help

Answer:Windows 8 forum: Windows 8 print attach file from email without open it?

Not sure if this will work but have the reading pane available. You can select this under view. Right click the attachment and select print.

I hope you can help. A few days ago, I was suddenly unable to attach a file to my email message. The file type did not matter and none was larger than the limit of 2.0 MB.

I'm running Windows XP with SP2. It has never been a problem before. I read and followed the instructions in "READ ME Before Asking for Support".

I will try to attach the Hijack This log below.

Please let me know what other logs you need. Thank you!

Answer:Unable to Attach File to Email - Invalid File Type??

Sorry about the previous post. I attached the HJT log directly in the message because I can't attach files. Please let me know how to proceed.
