Preferred Solution: Flashing Yellow Triangle in Taskbar

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Ok, I'm new so sorry if this is in the wrong place. Anyways recently over the past few days I've noticed two flashing triangles in the taskbar. One just flashes and randomly puts up that balloon trying to make me download programs. The other changes between a yellow triangle and a blue spikey ball, also popping up balloons. My homepage has also changed, it keeps blocking off certain webpages that I frequently visit (like my email inbox and one of my forums), it brings up lots of popups, and the classic: my computer has slowed down tremendously. I noticed I had a lot of programs (my dad downloaded them while I was out *sigh*) like PestTrap, Virus-Bursters, WinAntiVirus Pro 2006, that were the cause most probably. I followed instructions and went into safe mode etc. I managed to get rid of them all (or what I know of) except WinAntiVirus Pro 2006. It's currently sitting in my Control Panel refusing to uninstall. Still I'm getting all the symptoms from before (though I think it's gotten worse) so I'm not sure if the other programs have actually gone. I ran HijackThis and these are the results I got. Please help.

Hello. I am working on a company computer that someone got a virus on. At the time there was no antivirus software in use. After the issue came up, someone tried to install Symantec Antivirus 9.0 corporate, but screwed up the install, and now I can't remove it because of a corrupt install. I tried to follow the symantec web page for how to remove it manually from the registry, but that failed. So, i am unable to install any other virus software at this time other than norton system works, which is crap, and did not find any problems. As with the flashing triangle, comes an array of pop-ups and a slow computer. Also, half the time when i start the computer, explorer fails to load, and I have to manually launch it from the taskbar menu to get it running. Here is the hi-jack this log AND an online virus scan from Kaspersky. If anyone has any help or ideas, please let me know. Thanks again in advance for any help you can offer. This all started when I tried downloading a program from a questionable site. If I were to leave my computer running all night there is six or seven pop-ups about how my computer is infected and what I need to buy to get rid of it, or there is pop-ups offering for me to get laid tonight. There are also a few casino pop-ups trying to get me to gamble. These just come up randomly when I am using the computer. There is also a flashing yellow triangle in the system tray, which if i right or left click it does the same thing, goes to a site called thespygaurd.com, to try to get me to purchase an anti-spyware program. The triangle also makes a pretty annoying little popping sound about once a minute. My homepage in Internet Explorer was changed from Google to sysprotectionpage.net and a pop-up comes up that says I have a virus, [email protected], and I should click okay to download software to uninstall it. One more thing, I have installed and ran numerous programs to try and get rid of this. I had a different problem in which a red bubble popped up from the system tray that said I was infected, but I do not remember what the icon was. One of the many programs I used got rid of that problem. I have used Ad-Aware, Ewido, Spybot S&D, Housecall, Bit Defender, and McAfee Stinger. I hope this is enough information, and I really would appreciate any help you could give me on this matter. Thank you very much in advance.Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 10:38:11 AM, ... Answer:Flashing Yellow Triangle In System Tray With Pop-ups

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmdSelect option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present). We?ll get them next step. Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm

Another one came up as i was starting this thread it said: Power security; to keep this info safe.... it disappeared before i could even read or copy it all. also a System warning!warning hard disk clean up system determined that your hard disk has not enough free space to work properly. This problem occurs because of a number of unused or old files, shortcuts etc, and results in system slowdown and errors. Click "ok" to download Disk clean up software and remove unnecessary objects.

I've installed spybot sweeper and ran that twice. Installed Ad-Aware and ran that twice and also s-t-i-n-g-e-r and ran that once. I've removed all the spyware and adaware they listed.

I have one poker popup that opens when i open internet explorer that i need to get rid of too.

Can you help?

Hello Lola555, Let's run ComboFix. You should NOT use Combofix unless you have been instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert. It is intended by its creator to be used under the guidance and supervision of an expert, not for private use. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again. If you have used Combofix before, please delete the version you have and redownload it again, because Combofix is being updated everyday. Disconnect from the Internet while running ComboFix. Temporarily disable any anti-virus and anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. Some scanners may see some combofix related components as suspicious and block or delete them while there's nothing wrong with them. 1. Download this file - combofix.exe to your Desktop. Answer:*help* Flashing Yellow Triangle With A Popup Bubble, Anyone Know How I Can Remove It

Hi seanhubyI will be helping you with your problems. Before we go any further you are running Hijackthis from your desktop. This is not advised as any backups that Hijackthis makes will not be safe.So delete any existing copies of Hijackthis you have and go here and download a fresh copy to your desktop. Double click HJTinstall.exe and then click on install. This will automatically give you a shortcut on your desktop for future use. With HJT running choose "Do a system scan and save a logfile" and post the resultant log in a reply to this thread.Regards Demon Cleaner

After reviwing several discussions on this topic, and trying various recommendations, I am still stuck. No anti-cirus or spyware program is picking it up, and I am left to ask a question. :-) Kaspersky has been able to "block" the events, but some still come thru. Some errors I get are explorer.exe is trying to connect to the internet, there is a keylogger, and some other random events attached to main processes. Also, Kaspersky shows something about "invader (loader" is trying to change files. Here is my hijack this log. If anyone could help, I would ppreciate it greatly. Also, i know that something with the vmcgypjf.dll is a virus, I just can't get rid of it. I'll fix it in hi-jack and then it just reappears. I'm just trying to give as much info as possible. Also, i ran spybot SandD, and it found nothing.

Hello, I am having problems with a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark in it popping up in my task bar next to the clock. I was trying to go to MSN website and fire fox said it could not find the address. That is when I noticed the yellow triangle. Friday night my wife had an ad pop up saying your computer is infected click here to fond out how to clean it. I figured it was adware so I ran my Avast virus scan and it found a couple viruses that it quarantined. That happened Friday and today is the first time I have seen the yellow triangle.
I am running WinXP SP2 (tried downloading SP3 but it kept dying in the middle of download), use fire fox except when doing updates for microsoft ( I use IE8 for that). Here is the log I got from Hijack This. If any more info is needed let me know. And thank you very much.

For some reason this yellow triangle seems to be appearing to the taskbar. Basically it makes the same sound as the windows update. When I click it goes away only to come back little later. If I click it comes back 10s later. It is super annoying.

I have ran few virus and adware tools (avast, adware, hjt) and I have found nothing. I have checked the event viewer in the administrative tools and nothing there either about any warnings or errors. I have also checked that my firewall isn't blocking any software from running. Games run fine and no problems when booting.

I have avast antivirus, windows xp32bit up to date and firewall is standard windows with windows7firewall control.

I have also restarted my adsl modem.

I'm thinking this may have something to do with the power cuts I had earlier this day because this started after them I think. Basically the power cut out couple of times within few minutes. Computer started by itself again each time. Everything seems to work fine but the sound and the error is just super annoying. When the first power cut came I was copying bunch of small files so hard disk was at work then.

I tried searching but none of the solutions I found were really relevant...

Edit: I just noticed the yellow triangle comes back when I click something on my web browser (opera). I also have one device missing its drivers in the device manager as it shows up as (?) there. But I'm listening to music atm. so how can my sound card driver be not... Read more

For some reason there is a yellow triangle in my taskbar that occasionally tells me that my computer is infected with spyware, some sort of trojan, or there's some kind of critical security issue. I've run Spybot S&D, Avast! AntiVirus and Lavasoft's Ad Aware and haven't been able to clean it. It's really putting a hamper on my computer.

Answer:Yellow Triangle Not Going/Some time yellow triangle goes but then also not working

we do no provide remote support on the P Chere

using xirrus see what sort of signal you are getting around the house
if the strength is -70 or lower (note negative number) then that would be why you have a connection issue as the signalis not strong enough in those areas
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector
Download and install
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to copy the program across to the faulty PC
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and install the program.
You will now need to take a screen shot and copy that back to the working PC and attach the screen shot in a reply on the forum here.

If you do not have another PC - do you have a phone connected to the internet - can you photograph the result and post the image in a reply

I have windows 7 and sometimes when Iam using the internet (explorer) the iexplorer icon in the taskbar begin to flash yellow. Why is that?

Answer:Yellow-flashing in the taskbar?

Mine has always done that. It always seemed like some sort of notification. For example, if I had 2 Internet Explorer windows opened (but minimized) one would have Facebook up and if I received an IM from someone, it would blink yellow. Or if I had something downloading, when the download completed, it would blink yellow.

Hello!

Just bought a new Cisco e1200 router about 1.5 months ago. When I first hooked it up, it was giving me EXTREMELY low download speeds (only on wireless, not while connected through ethernet). After switching the networking mode from "mixed' to "Wireless-G only", the speeds went back to normal. This is just info that might help you determine source of this problem:

My internet at times refuses to work, and the connection bars in the task bar display a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside it. This goes away when I unplug the router from the power and replug it.

I took a screenshot of "ipconfig /all" during, and after the problem. Also, does the problem have anything to do with me setting the networking mode to Wirless-G only? What should I have it set to?

Ipconfig /all DURING problem(not working):
Ipconfig /all AFTER problem(working):
Any help would be appreciated! Thank You!

sounds like a faulty unit - have you tried to get replaced under warranty ?

should not make a difference - just means only devices with a wireless G or N adapter can connect and the speed will be set to 54mbps max

Question: Yellow Triangle

Hi Guy,I work in a school and they are setting up a new ICT suite. I teach Math?s so my networking knowledge is very basicThe ICT tech has wired the room in cat5 (from each of the 20 machines back to a 3 com 24 port switch) The internet will be provided by a BT business hub and internet package (the phone line has still to be put in) so no broadband router yet.The tech connected all the pc?s (XP pro) to the 3 com switch today and each machine has the yellow triangle (limited or no connectivity) on the network icon.I would be most grateful of you could answer the below questions 1. Why is this message appearing (is it something to do with the ip address)2. When the BT broadband router comes and is installed into the switch will this limited or no connectivity error disappear. (Can you explain why??)3. If say hypothetical they just wanted the room for just sharing files and printing and no Internet is it possible to remove this error.Once again I would appreciate any info on the above. It might seem very simple to you but any insight would be great.RegardsDiarmuid

Answer:Yellow Triangle

there is, or there's going to be a central network server?Or are the computers simply going to share a broadband internet service? If you can supply a little more information I'll try to answer your questions.

I keep getting a little yellow triangle with a ! on it in the lower right hand corner of the screen by the clock. Every few minutes while I on the internet, I will hear a "pop" sound and it will show up. I have tried right-clicking on it and left-clicking on it, and when I do, it will just disappear. Also, when I put the cursor on it, it won't even tell me what it is, as with the other icons on that task bar.

HELP! I have run a partial virus/spyware scan and it came up clean. I am now running a scan on ALL files, and am now waiting for that to be completed.

My husband installed a wireless router this weekend (for use with our laptop and our Wii), and also installed software from our internet provider that is supposed to upgrade our service to make it faster. Could either one of these be the cause?

TIA.

If you can get us a screenshot of it, that might help

Hello, I am new to the forum. I have been spending this week updating my laptop. I have seen improvment but one. While I am applying for jobs on a particular site, after checking the appropriate boxes I get an exclamation point in a yellow triangle asking me to make a selection. Even though I have done that several times, it's just not recognizing that I have checked these boxes. When I look into tools of browser & click on error console there are several items pertaining to fonts, etc. on this site. so I cannot complete the job application process.

What can I do/or you can help me step by step so that I can use this site? Thanks.

Hi

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which we would have had you run last time you had malware infection as they are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
Bitdefender - from step 6
Panda Scan - from step 6
runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
HijackThis

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require tha... Read more

The website pcidatabase.com let's you look up unknown hardware. Based on what you posted, it seems to be an Nvidia nForce System Management Controller. I'm taking this to mean you have an Nvidia-based motherboard. There is likely a driver available for this on your motherboard's website. If Windows update doesn't find it, go there and download the driver.

Hello it seems that whenever I launch a 3d application for longer then 10 minutes I get a black exclamation point encased in a yellow triangle. First however, within my application the entire screen would flash on and off then it would stop responding.

With the information I could find before posting on this forum it seems to be a virus of some kind that nod32 and SuperAntiSpyware were unable to remove. Of course there also seems to be a windows error with this same picture, however it gave me no clue as to why it was there.

Also note: Ever since I installed service pack 1 Windows Defender and Windows Mail have DLL errors, (Mpclient not found for Windows Defender) (MSOE not found for Windows Mail) however both .dll files are still in their respective folder.

Heres my Hijack this log, thanks in advance.

Hi
I don't know if this is a software related issue, but here goes. I've suddenly been getting a small yellow warning triangle popping up in my taskbar. If I click on it, either right or left, it just disappears and won't lead me anywhere or offer information etc - not very helpful. It then reappears pretty quickly and just sits there. What is going on & where should I look for more information?
Thanks

hi there

I am working on a laptop and ever since it got the virus I have had the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it and the wireless internet doesnt seem to want to connect anymore. I search around for ways to fix this and i found out about smitfraudfix and used it and now the yellow triangle is gone. But the internet still doesnt work. I installed Bitdefender Antivirus and removed the trojan that it found but it seems like the computer is still hot since it has been an abnormal amount of trojan trying to get in.

I have included the HJT log and Smitfraudfix log of after the removal of the yellow triangle. PLZ help and thx.

one pop up is a window with the title: Windows Internet Explorer
[email protected] is a virus that infects with .exe extentions.
(I never do, I know better) it then goes on to say it steals passwords and private info.
the other thing is the yellow triangle in the start button icon bar on right side at the bottom of the screen, blinking on and off, I click it to see what it says it states: bestseller antivirus installer, that is the title, under that
it states: please click continue to protect your pc against viruses, identity theft, spying, and unauthorized downloads. by clicking continue button, you are accepting our terms and conditions. the words: terms and conditions is a link in blue. then at the bottom. it has a continue button. I just click the X button at the top to close it.
One more thing is 2 two Icons i keep deleting and they keep coming back. they are as states: "Online Security Guide" and the other one is "Live Safety Center" Keep trying to get rid of them and can find where they are seated, when I run regedit. I ran your combo spyware download and I also ran Hijack this and saved it. I need to know what to do from here without format and reinstalling because to backup some of my info. they could be hiding and waiting for me to reinstall that to come back. BY THE WAY, THIS IS WINDOWS XP ON AN EMACHINE W3507 DESKTOP

Hi guys,

I have just noticed these 2 icons on ''My Computer'' page. A yellow triangle and a green circle.

I'm happy with the green circle, but the yellow triangle is annoying me.

I've had a look in device manager but no problems there, I've also looked in event viewer for errors but there is nothing wrong there either.

Any help would be great.

TIA

Answer:Yellow exclamation triangle

You could run a chkdsk /r as an administrator from the cmd prompt, but have a look in Action Center to see if anything is flagged.

Have you been using any tune-up programs or registry cleaners ?

Answer:how do i get rid of the yellow triangle with ! in the middle ??

Right-click it or mouse-over it and see what it says... Probably a display or internet problem... If you just want to sugar coat the problem, you could right-click the taskbar, and change the options so that icon is always hidden. If you're using Win XP, it should be in the XP, not Vista, forum.

Right click on the system tray or taskbar, click "properties" then click "customize" then look for "Past Items" you should see your Yellow Triangle with an explanation beside it.

Check Device Manager, click "show hidden devices" and report any flagged devices here.

How much free space do you have left on your HD ?

Check for BIOS update.

There seems to be a BUNCH of possible causes, but it seems also that the consensus is that this is a serious problem that should be investigated.

If none of the above is useful, I'd start searching from here:

I live in the Philippines out in the country away from the city because of location have to use broadband internet.    Up till a couple weeks ago it was not all that bad and especially during off peak hours, early morning.

The signal is not all that good and I installed an 850-2100 MhZ signal booster, really helped and eliminated several problems.

All of a sudden unable to connect to the internet during day time hours.  I get a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and no internet access.  Signal strength is above 90%, good strong signal but no access.  During off peak hours, midnight to 8 or 9 AM there is no connection problem and for here it's fast.

I have tried a different laptop and also a differnet USB modem, new SIM card and have the same results, no internet access during peak hours.

Have a paper trail at least a mile long to the internet provider and their response is always the same thing......"We are sorry for your inconvenience and have forwarded your problem to our technical team."  Biggest problem is "THEY"  are the only game in town!!!!  No choice, tried the competition and the connections is so slow that it is not usable.

Can anyone offer suggestions for sloving this problem.

I am 70 years old and retired, the internet is my link to the outside world and am tired of getting up at 2AM to get online!!!!

thanx,

LRAYT

I am not sure this will work but see if changing your DNS servers to OpenDNS or Google DNS solves the problem. Write down any current DNS servers addresses in case you need to revert. Remember to flush your DNS and browser caches.

Good afternoon,

Pop-up after pop-up after pop-up.....annoying to say the least. I clicked to install ActiveX the other day and now I am getting a yellow triangle with an "!" inside of it. It keeps telling me that my computer is infected with a Trojan. When I click it it takes over my msn.com-directed homepage on IE and replaces it with some random Anti Virus "fix" site.

I am not advanced with code, I would consider myself an Intermediate computer user. Also, I do not have the funds to purchase software online to make these fixes...so "free" is my friend right now.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

OS: Windows Vista home premium 32-bitEvery so often whilst running applications (games mainly) the program appears to freeze, and the sound will play in a 'broken loop' for a few seconds (i.e. repeat the same part over and over). The screen will then go black, and after a few more seconds the program will be back to normal (Unless it's an online game in which case the game's protection shield will close it down). After this a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark appears in the notification area of the task bar. Clicking it does nothing/opens no menus. In the 'customize notification items' window it is called "".I've read around for help with this and tried;- uninstalling all Adobe products- checking for any suspicious processes in the task manager (though to be honest, I'm not sure what I'm looking for)- Running scans using AVG anti-virus, AVG anti-spyware and SUPERantispyware- Running SmitFraudFix.exe as detailed hereI've uploaded a picture of the triangle hereI'm a technical newb, so if you're kind enough to help, please be patient with me! ^^;Thanks

Answer:Yellow Triangle On Task Bar

My experience of this has only been on XP but the only time I have ever seen an exclamation triangle in the taskbar is when I've run out of RAM for the system or graphics card (graphics cards only in certain configs). Windows may be increasing your page file on your hard drive and shifting some stuff on to it, which could be causing running programs to freeze momentarily.
Is your graphics card dedicated or shared?
How much RAM do you have?
The default pagefile setting is "Let windows define my page file size" You could try setting this to a manual setting, possibly about 1gb.

Hope this helps!

i have been getting a yellow triangle appearing in my toolbar the last few months. it stays for a couple of minutes then disappears. while it is there the other toolbar icons do not display their names when i hover over them.
i have not left-clicked the triangle at all.
the only malware detected by AVG recently was a false positive trojan.
i enclose a picture of the toolbar complete with yellow triangle.

what will happen if i leave it ?
also is it safe to use the Combifix program as i have read several reports that it may contain rootkits ?

This is not the yellow triangle in the taskbar. When my antivirus attempts to load, i get a dialog box with yellow triangle and a exclamation point in it, with no text. I attempted to format my drive, which did not resolve the issue. I attempted to use the DDS thing to get all my processes, but I guess it does not support vista 64. No amount of google searching has helped me so far... Hopefully someone is able to help me out. Thanks a lot for your time. Here is a ss of the error box. Posting for a friend, who has a virus that puts the yellow triangle with an exclamation point on the toolbar, warning of viruses. It slows down the computer significantly, and makes browsers almost unusable. AVG has said that there could be upwards of nine trojans, and healing does nothing, vaulting asks to make sure you wish to force it. I told her not to, as the virus could be on a system file. A couple of weeks ago I began receiving a triangular error message on my desktop with various messages reporting spyware or suspicious files on my system and offering a free scan. When I click the triangle I am directed to at least 3 different sites all advertising anti-spyware software. Also, when I use Google and click on a lick a blank page is loaded or I am taken to another search engine website. I get between 2 and 4 of these error messages per day and usually when I open Internet Explorer and occasionally when I open Windows Explorer. I have used both AVG and Spybot but neither detected or solved the problem. Also, after running Hijack This I noticed a file in the system32 folder called dmserve.dll which when I hover the cursor over gives no info other than the file name and creation date and does not seem to be a Microsoft file nor has any connection with disk management I aslo get the same result when I right click for properties. I have been unble to delete this file and its registry entry in both normal and safe mode. The file was created around the time that the problems began I have since found out that dmserve.dll is a trojan but have been unable to find any information with regards to its removal and my AV program (nod32) does not even detect its presence. I have downloaded and installed 3 apps on or just prior to the problem starting 2 of which were cracked. All 3 have since been removed.

Help. I can find and connect to the wireless network, but it has the yellow triangle. My roommates are on the internet fine on their laptops, so it is clearly an issue with my laptop. My laptop internet works with an Ethernet cable, but I canít just go through an Ethernet cable all the time.
This is a mystery, hopefully someone can help.
Thanks in advance.

Hello all,

I've come here to hopefully get some assistance with my internet issue rather lack of internet issue.

I have an Acer Aspire S3 and am unable to connect to home network using Wifi connection. I have tried almost everything and nothing has worked thus far. My laptop does not have an Ethernet port so I have been unable to test if it works through a wired connection.

My laptop is working fine as I have tried other wifi networks and there has been no issue. The modem/ router is brand new and works fine with the other devices in the house (2 other laptops and iphones).

I have spent hours on the phone with time warner and with Acer and both are blaming each other.

It's been like this since we have moved into the apartment (2 weeks ago) and I have been unable to connect on my laptop the entire time. However, i have taken it to other places and it works perfectly fine.

In summary, I have done the following-

- Reset the router etc. - didn't work
- un-installed the network adapters - didn't work.
- Restored the laptop to factory setting - didn't work

The network and sharing info. says that it is connected yet it is labelled as an unidentified network and there is no internet access. There are full bars on the screen and I signal is excellent. The other devices do not struggle at all ( one Toshiba satellite Pro and one Macbook).

I am now desperate and would love some help as both Time Warner and Acer have been mostly useless up to this point.

Answer:Yellow Triangle, No internet access - Tried everything

Hello and welcome TJ just had a look at the specs and I can't believe it doesn't have a cable port.

But down in the system tray at bottom right is there an icon with the connection indicator?

In the Device Manager see what the adaptor setting is like - see my pic.

Then you could try the little flag bottom right near the audio control click on it and it will or may show you if something needs fixing - mine shows those USB ports need attention.

If this cannot be fixed easy - return it to the dealer mate if it is still in warranty - that is a lot of money for a laptop especially one that size.

When I start my laptop I get this annoying callout box that reads:

Your computer is infected!
Windows has detected spyware infection.

It is recommended to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss.

Windows will now download and install the most up-to-date antispyware for you.

Click here to protect your computer from spyware.

When I click the icon or box nothing happens. I have tried searching google for some answers but it has led me nowhere. Hopefully I can get some help here.

Answer:Kaspersky yellow triangle icon

This is a known bug, sometimes occurs after deleting malware... Notification Center shows as green and everything ok, but K icon in Windows Task bar still shows yellow triangle...

Possible solutions for now:

1.- Uninstall and reinstall (annoying and radical).

2.- Just wait, some times after some days or a few weeks, usually K icon gets normal again.

Hello,

I have been attached by Htepo.com (online security guide icons on the desktop) with the yellow triangle with the ! in it. I get the virus war rings and the pop ups.
System is running windows XP.
I have been unable to find the file(s) that keep infecting my computer.
I have tried the installed Norton software and it does not see anything in regular or safe mode. Trend Micro (cwshreder/housecall/sysclean), Mcafee (stinger), smithfraudfix, superantispyware (temporary installed).

It starts up in safe mode so the virus removing application I feel do not see it.

enclosed is my Hijack log-

Occasionally in my taskbar a small yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the middles will appear. I can hover my cursor over it and nothing shows up, I can click (left or right,) on it and nothing will happen. Its as if it doesn't even exist. I have not noticed anything wrong with the system. The triangle does not flash or anything. i don't know if its a program I run that triggers this or what causes it to come. The only way I have found to get it to go away is to restart. After restart, it could be a few days before it returns. I am running AVG 8.5.424 with all updates and it has found nothing. Also running SpyHunter version 3.7.19 with all definitions up to date and it finds nothing. I am also including a photo so you can see the triangle for yourself. Please help.

For the last few weeks, I have noticed that I have the occasional yellow triangle with an exclamation point on it in my system tray. It does not appear to have any affect to my PC, but these things always lead to something worse. The icon appears with no pop-up message of any kind. Hovering over it yields no indication of what program it belongs to, and it also seems to disable any other icon from giving the hovering label either. Left-clicking on it does nothing and right clicking on it makes it disappear.

Hello,
1. Please complete your specs (see mine for comparison) as this relates to hardware.
2. Please post a screenshot of your Device Man. showing the problem
use the Insert Image icon to the left of the video icon above your post

What's the history?
Have you recently upgraded to Win 10, or from 32 bits to 64 bits?
Or were you running Win 10 ok and suddenly this happened?

And which is your Win 10 version?
(Win key + X, winver)

Have you checked for Win 10 drivers on your manufacturer's site?

Thanks

All the drivers you need for windows 10 can be found here on the support page for your computer.  Select windows 10 if it is not already, and download all the drivers that correspond to the hardware inside your laptop.  The chip set and video drivers should be installed first.

I usually use the Firefox browser, but somehow on some occasion when using IE, I now have four trojans.

What I mean by this is that I have a Yellow Triangle with an exclamation point in it in my taskbar that lists the Trojan that I have and suggests that I click on the balloon to download spyware for to get rid of the trojan - which is just more spyware.

I have in the past removed a the Vundo Trojan using CC Cleaner and AVG and the Norton Antivirus recommended removal tool, but this time CC Cleaner and AVG aren't doing much. My other spyware scanners aren't doing much as well.

Here are the four names it lists:
PSW.x-Vir

Spyware.Cyberlog-X
