Why does WUDFRd fail to load for the device USB?

Question: Why does WUDFRd fail to load for the device USB?

Hi,
My event viewer keeps reporting the following warning:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_05AC&PID_1297&MI_00\0.

What's wrong? How do I solve it?

Preferred Solution: Why does WUDFRd fail to load for the device USB?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Answer: Why does WUDFRd fail to load for the device USB?

According to microsoft you can ignore as long as everything works.

For the past couple of days i have been having a problem where my computer just shuts down on its own and then turns back on again. It mostly happens when im launching or playing a game but a couple of times i was just on the desktop and it restarted. I have checked the event logs and it keeps saying this:

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\SensorsAndLocationEnum\LPSensorSWDevice.

I have searched all over the internet for the past couple of days and have found multiple answers (all of which didn't work). Some say its the psu and others say its the gpu. I personally think it was the windows update that i did three days ago because that was the day it started but i have yet to see anything online about a windows update causing this. I have already updated the graphics drivers and chipset drivers but it didn't change anything. Can someone just tell me whats going on because is just built this pc about 6 months ago and nothing like this has ever happened.
Specs:
MSI Z87 GD65 Gaming Motherboard
Intel Core i7 4770K
Nvidia Geforce GTX 780TI

680W PSU (Not sure what the brand is. I think it might be kentek or something)

I get the following Warning, Event ID 219 in the System Log on each boot:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device {C5A047D8-CB5B-40E9-B9E3-316AB06B5A18}\WirelessKeyboardFilter\8&16310cd5&1&01.
The Event Log Online Help doesn't appear to be working anymore.
I was able to resolve these types of errors with the assistance of the Event Log Online Help in the past. Does anyone know the procedure to troubleshoot this error so it can be resolved?
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards

Hi there!
I'm in a desperate need of help.
This is the situation (sorry for my bad English as always...).
Yesterday I left my PC running with a download in progress through MiPony.I told the program MiPony (for the first time) to shut down the PC at the end of the download.Until then the PC had no problem. Before going to bed I checked the PC and I saw that it was offThis morning I turned on the PC and I glimpsed a sign that it was starting a scan (the only letter I saw was I:\) but I could not stop it.The PC is turned on regularly. Only half an hour later I found out that an entire 3TB HDD in 4 partitions had disappearedI did some search and found this error: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE\0000.I tried to reboot but same situation (no scan and normal situation) but NO drive.I checked the event log (attached) and I see the problem started after 4 different event regarding my network connection (It's a week that I have to reset the modem \ router several times a day)

I am seeing several of these Warnings in the Event Viewer, Windows System logs. These are Event ID 219, Source Kernel-PnP.

That said, I am not experiencing any crashes, freezes, BSODs, and everything on my PC seems to be functional. So perhaps I can safely ignore these warnings, but I prefer to get to the bottom of something in case it will lead to problems in the future.

I have done some online research on this event, and none of the suggested fixes seem applicable to me. I have been vigilant in keeping all drivers on my machine up to date. I've checked, and there don't seem to be any newer drivers available for any of my hardware. I also have the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework service set to "automatic" startup.

The details of this event are below.

Any suggested action to remedy my problem? Thanks!

Go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc, right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Device Manager, are there any devices with yellow flags? If so, these devices need drivers installed. Usually your video card driver.

Hello,
I've been experiencing multiple bluescreens daily and what's odd about them is they occur randomly while using many programs; however, I have noticed that they occur more frequently directly after opening a new tab, loading a new site or running a game (StarCraft II).
Looking through Event Viewer. I see a list of warnings and errors immediately prior to the BSOD. In chronological order:

9:07:18 PM CRITICAL- "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

9:07:28 PM WARNING- "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_0483&PID_2016\5&249af6f9&0&2."

9:07:42 PM ERROR- "The previous system shutdown at 9:05:49 PM on ‎7/‎13/‎2011 was unexpected."

9:07:44 PM ERROR- "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x0000099e0000007e, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffff80002a92885). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 071311-32869-01."

9:07:47 PM ERROR- "Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0"

I also get this warning quite often:

My PC started BSOD-ing a few days ago and now does it every few hours.

It starts with this error:

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Multi&Prod_Flash_Reader&Rev_1.00#058F63666471&0#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}.

Then moves on to:

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Multi&Prod_Flash_Reader&Rev_1.00#058F63666471&0#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}.

Then:
Installing printer driver Microsoft XPS Document Writer failed, error code 0x0, HRESULT 0x80070705. See the event user data for context information.

Then:

The print spooler failed to regenerate the printer driver information for driver Microsoft XPS Document Writer for environment Windows x64. Win32 system error code 1797 (0x705). This can occur after an operating system upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive.

Finally:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff80c5d0d15b0, 0x0000000000000000, 0xffffffffffffffff). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: d35c98fc-b1e6-4003-bed9-f7cdbca575e2.

This started happening a few days ago, right after a new update from windows:

Hi,

Since the 11/18/2012 event viewer (Event ID 219, Task Category 212) has been posting a warning:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN (followed by name of USB device)

It only occurs on start up if I have a USB memory device plugged into a USB port. The USB memory device functions perfectly and the error never occurs when I plug in and out a memory device after boot up.

The error only occurs for memory devices like memory sticks, external USB hard drive does not cause this error.

Checking back to around the 11/18/2012 I see nothing that I have changed/installed that might indicate something that has caused this. No other Windows 7 failures or issues.

Booting a second hard drive with windows 7 on the same system (I have this second installation for testing faults etc), the issue does NOT occur.

From checking forums and searching I have found a few others with this issue and a few articles on its cause

WUDFRd failed to load for the device

Event ID 219 is logged after you install Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

I was just curious as to why it would suddenly start occurring after a particular date when as far as I can tell I have not made any changes to anything around this date.

Also I wondered if there was a fix to stop this, other than removing a memory stick before boot up!

Any thoughts?

Answer:The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device... error

I just started getting this exact same error message logged in Event Viewer when I plug a USB stick into a USB port. It happens with two different sticks from two different manufactures, but it does not happen every time I plug them in. It seems that it may mostly happen the first time I plug a stick in after I have booted up my PC.

Have you been able to find a solution to get these error codes to stop logging?

Full event error: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device {C5A047D8-CB5B-40E9-B9E3-316AB06B5A18}\WirelessKeyboardFilter`

Driver environment:
Windows 10 x64 desktop
I have a wireless Microsoft mouse
I do not have a Microsoft wireless keyboard
I have the associated transceiver that should work for both (if installed)

This problem started when my Microsoft wireless mouse driver was updated to version 1.0.102.0 (dated 3/16/2016).
This driver update also appears to be responsible for a few other device errors as well:

I believe this new driver assumes you have a wireless keyboard (without checking) and just tries to load a driver for it.

My temporary fix is/was to rollback the driver to the previous Microsoft version 10.0.10586.0 (dated 6/21/2006):

Anyone else run across this condition or have a known solution using the latest driver?

Thanks,

aardvark

Been searching for days to find a solution for this problem (including fresh installs of Windows 10 etc), and today accidentally found it ... for my Asus Maximus V111 Formula at least, but it may also work on other motherboards

Hi,

I'm been having issues a looong time with different sorts of BSOD's but I've been able to cook it down to this last one after replacing both graphics card and Logitech headset.

Latest error which occuring at least once per day:

At Windows 10 startup this Warning appears in my Event Log as Event ID: 219.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{a1c931b2-3b00-11e5-9c14-806e6f6e6963}#0000000008100000.

I know why this happens. The device in the message is an internal SATA AHCI hard drive. All AHCI drives, even internal ones, are considered removal or hot swapable. It even causes the safely remove icon to appear sort of like it was a USB drive. It happened on Windows 8.x. Don't remember if it happened on Windows 7. I can't make any changes in my BIOS to make it not hot swapable as there is no option for this drive.

The fix to get rid of the message in W8 was to modify the Service 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' Changing the Startup type from Manual to Automatic fixed the problem. However, on Windows 10 this method does not work.

I can't disable the Service as it's needed for other devices. Just wondering if anyone found a nice clean way to get rid of the warning message like in W8?

Windows 8.1 Pro x64 - please find the complete system log warning details below and a (related or not?) disk controller error below. Motherboard is an ASRock B75 Pro 3 with an Intel B75 Chipset.
I keep getting these warnings. I get them for all my Windows Portable Devices (disk drives) on boot up. Here are my disks:
Disk 0 on internal SATA 3 connector off an
ASMedia ASM1061 chip on motherboard (internal drive, but enumerated as removable) - Seagate ST100DM003-1CH162 D: data drive
Disk 1 on internal SATA 3 connector off the B75 chipset on motherboard (internal drive, not enumerated as removable - gives no warnings or errors - Seagate ST100DM003-1CH162 C: system drive (has Windows 8.1 OS on it)
Disk (2 or 3 depends on order of USB connection) on external USB 2.0 connector off back I/O panel of motherboard - Kingston DT 101 II USB device F: backup thumb drive
Disk (2 or 3 - depends on order of USB connection) on external USB 3.0 connector off back I/O panel of motherboard - Seagate BlackArmor DAS35 USB device G: backup external hard drive
There are no symptoms other than another (probably unrelated) disk controller error (shown below). The controller error is on either drive 2 or 3, but never 0 or 1, so it is one of the external back up drives (the thumb drive or the BlackArmor drive).

I tried the "fix" suggested in another thread (change the service "Windows Driver Foundation" to Automatic from Manual) and it works for awhile. However, I have made the change several times since the Event Warning comes back after a few days. Anybody got a way to make the "Automatic" stick. Windows 8.1 seems to have a need make it "Manual"!

Answer:Driver WUDFRd failed to load - Event ID 219

It should be set to manual w/trigger so that is not the solution to your issue (whatever that is):

I keep getting this warning in Windows 10 at every boot, as well as:

Can't load \Driver\WUDFRD for ROOT\SYSTEM\0002

I've seen that this is unsolved in other threads, hence opening a new one...and crossing fingers

I am trying to get rid of event viewer errors and warnings at bootup. This one still eludes me. It appears to be a driver error related to my Epson RX680 printer. Can someone give me a few tips on how to narrow it down further?

Slow booting. Really slow booting. Seems that using an SD card for ReadyBoot/ReadyBoost is causing the issue. But why?
On investigation, this only started happening back in November, which coincides with the install of KB2685813 UMDF 1.11 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2685813).
Could be a bit buggy....

I'll uninstall the update and see if this solves the issue.
So, first event:

Answer:UMDF Reflector fails to start (event 10114, Driverframeworks-Usermode) resulting in WUDFRd failed to load... (event 219, Kernel-PnP)

Hmm. Now that is interesting.
In my System event log I was getting an NTFS error (57: Failed to flush tlog). I didn't think it was from my HDD, so using diskpart, I ran a 'CLEAN ALL' on my SD card, then recreated the FS as exFAT (previously it was NTFS).
Seems to be working now, although I'm getting VDS Basic Provider errors (Unexpected failure. Error code:
[email protected]) "which can be safely ignored" (re: KB979391).
This begs the question: if it can be safely ignored, why is it raised in the first place?
Boot time is also restored to an acceptable timescale.

Hello, please help me with the following issue.

One of the program that I used to operate a laboratory machine, AB 7300 (real time PCR) failed to load in normal mode but could be loaded in safe mode. The problem started to occur after I send the machine for repair. Apparently the problem was related to a loose computer cable but the technician also cleaned my registry file.

All the other programs could load normally. The OS is Windows XP SP 2 with the latest updates installed. The computer has an intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40 GHz 3.39 GHz, 2GB RAM. I also have Bitdefender standard 9 antivirus, Zone Alarm Pro firewall ver 7.0.337 and AVG 7.5 anti-spyware. The machine is regularly scanned for virus anti spyware. the 7300 program was able to run previously even with these firewall/antivirus/antispyware running.

Using selective startup mode (by opening the msconfig.sys), the 7300 program could load even when all the SYSTEM.INI, WIN.INI, System services and startup Items are enabled. However, the program failed to load when the computer was started using the original BOOT.INI.

Thank you

I'm using XP and just did a recovery console for XP to recover a vital file. Now when I start my computer, it sits at the desktop loading for about five minutes. After five minutes, all the programs in the tray will load simultaneously. Then when I try to go to My Computer, control panel, help & support, etc., all the icons will disappear from the desktop and then reload after a few seconds, and thats it, nothing actually loads up. Also, with some programs, I will try to open it, hear the noise that an error message would make (but don't actually get a message) and then it just sits at the desktop as if I hadn't clicked anything. But some programs, such as Sony Vegas and Soundforge will load and run perfectly well. What should I do?

Question: Facebook Load Fail

Hi all,

Tried to log in to facebook today which failed to load completely.
Only the topmost blue bar shows with the buttons but when clicked, does not load to any URL.

Searched for fixes from around the web like adding 's' to 'http', which does not count for me for I had been on the 'https' setting even before. Ran Avira and cleared my caches and temporary file with CCleaner to no avail.

My PC is up to date on everything including malware and spyware detectors its just that I am not the only one using my PC. My cousins and sibling go to sites that I don't always see.

I suspect phishing and am contemplating on running the battery of anti-malware software but I thought I need more advice before proceeding.

Specs:
- Browser: Google Chrome
- Processor: Pentium Dual Core E5800 @ 3.20 & 3.19 GHz
- RAM: 2 GB
- System: Windows 7 32-bit Starter SP 1

P.S. Might be of help: Avira detected and alerted of a virus sometime ago while my cousin is playing some facebook game. I said to remove it but my cousin had already cancelled it before I could intervene.

Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

**** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
Helpful Notes:

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual update Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

I have a problem that I'm sure can be sorted very easily. The problem is that the above drives keep telling me to put a disc in...even though a disc is in the drive. I very rarely use the drives, owing to using my laptop frequently, but yesterday I tried to run a disc and got the window 'put a disc into the drive'. As stated above the drive did have a disc. I then tried the other drive and got the same error. Then other discs that I have used before but same answer. The drives light is working and I can hear the drives trying to play. Any one with the swimple explanation please. I am running a windows XP Home platform and the computer is 15 months old.

Hi, I'm having a problem on my Hp Pavilion laptop. It is running windows vista, and im connected to the internet via my wireless linksys router. However, sometimes, for certain websites, they are not loading. I can easily access the web but for some reason these websites give me a "oops, google chrome cannot connect", same thing with the other browsers i tried, firefox and ie. Obviously i know there is a problem, because when I go onto my desktop computer, or my other netbook, this website works perfectly fine. I have run two virus scans on my computer and they have come up clean, so i do not think it is a virus. I really want to be able to go on these websites on my laptop... help please?

Answer:Certain websites fail to load

Try refreshing your DNS resolver cache by following these steps:

Click on Start > Run > type CMD

In the Command Prompt, type: ipconfig /flushdns

Reboot.

I was trying to solve some graphics issues by the errors i was getting in the Services pane.

I started looking into a few more and when looking for a hidden file, i must of selected something that "hid" or deleted my user account, and at first glance, all my desktop icons

Now on boot up i visually have 1/2 the files i would have in my C drive (memory of them is still there), and just about every program fails to boot, says its currently running, or tells me its missing files.
It may just be programs on my C drive, programs located on my second drive boot and run fine.

Now i just did a system restore point to a few hours ago, wayy before i did any of this stuff. my files are back (mostly) my desktop is still bare, and my programs still wont load

any ideas?

Thanks

Answer:[SOLVED] Some programs fail to load

I have found my own solution, i tried googling for random symptoms and came up with someone telling me to,

"Go to your C drive icon, right click to properties, check "hidden" then apply, and wait for it to do that. Then immediatly after, uncheck the hidden box and hit apply."

Seems maybe last time when i un-hid folder and hid them not all were selected, leaving me with half the files missing and half working.

Hi guys,
I need help..
I've been using winxp sp2 for about 4 years now, I rarely use my desktop pc so after about 2 months since the last use, I started it just now.
The keyboard is not working, I checked the device manager and the property says, the driver fail to load, missing or corrupted.
- Uninstall and install didn't work
- Safe mode didn't work
- replacing keyboard didn't work
the keyboard only work in bios (at least that means it is not broken).

I read somewhere here about similar problem but that one is on laptop and related to bad battery, well mine is desktop. On some other source I checked, it could be related to registry or something, not sure.
I'm a novice user.

anybody can help? If there has been a post somewhere regarding similar problem, kindly point me to the right direction.
appreciate it, thanks! :)

Hey I've got an annoying problem here. I use Google Chrome and I signed up to Hack Forums the other day but whenever I click on a thread, and threads only, they fail to load. So it'll go on the page but it won't show the page, just a white screen and a never ending loading circle on the tab. This is the ONLY website this is happening to and I logically can't think of why it's happening or how to fix it. I've tried emptying the cache and deleting cookies and nothing, it just refuses to load. Can someone please shed some light on this?

Thanks

Answer:Threads fail to load in Chrome

Based upon what I know Chrome is suppose to be the fastest, but not always compatible with every site.
Try IE and see if that works.

Hi there,

I am having trouble starting my PC. It gives the error "Fail to load msgina.dll. Contact System Admin. to replace the file", something like this.

I cannot boot even in safe mode or by command prompt. My XP setup CD loads the files, but after completing loading its files, it restarts without continuing the setup. So I cannot repair my XP files.

How can I replace or restore 'msgina.dll' file from my XP CD to the System folder?

Hello, I'm not that computer literat but please bear with me. I recently added some new hardware to my 6 month old computer (2x2 gigs of ram and a 1T hard drive). I had my computer off and unplugged, added the ram and hard drive, then plugged my computer back in. I started my computer and while Vista was loading I all of a sudden got a BSOD saying:
Stop: C000021a {fatal system error}

The initial session processor system terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0Xc0000001 0X00100490)
The system has been shut down

After a few more tries of starting it normally, I tried it once with safe mode and it stopped loaded at "crcdisk.sys" and after a bit it would BSOD to the same screen

After starting it up again I selected the option to run the comouter with a previous setting that had a succesful boot, and it went to an error saying that the NLS data was missing or corrupt with an error saying "0Xc0000225"

After I went back to the screen where you have the option to start in safe mode or normal mode, and it said at the top that Windows had failed to load and that if it was due to a hardware change to put in the Vista CD and click on fix my computer, so I tried that. After it tried to fix itself it said that it couldnt automatically fix it. I tried doing a system restore to several differnt points which all didnt work because the system restore couldnt find the file "0X80070002"

If anyone has a solution to help me I would be very gr... Read more

Answer:New Hardware causes vista to fail to load?

Put the old ram back in, dicconect the new HD and see if it works.
If it does backup your data.
This way you can try to diagnose the problem and fix it knowing your data is safe.

Dunno if this is the right place for this type of prblem, I dont know much at all about this stuff. I tried searching around but I only found stuff about this with different drivers.

My problem is I just rebooted my pc yesterday, and after logging into windows and getting to the desktop, there was ared msg that popped up from avast antivirus saying it couldnt update or something, then it my pc rebooted, ever since after I logged into windows there was a sound like you hear when you get an error message, then my pc rebooted or crashed, and it keeps happening, I used safe mode and looked at the event viewer and it says:

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
Aavmker4
FileDisk
Fips
NPPTNT
Processor

I went to the link it says to goto for more information but it only says to verify you have the latest drivers and stuff, i'm not sure how to do that or even what drivers I have..

My main concern is, is this a something that can be fixed, or can it be a hardware problem and my pc is just screwed, its pretty old though, like 5 years or so, never had any problems like this before :x.

Answer:start driver fail to load

a search on this listed that many causes it made your head swim
boot into the recovery console and run first
chkdsk /r
then try
fixboot
it could be virus or malware related if the above does not work do the five steps

Here's an odd one. I'm developing a cloud-based system and SOME images are failing to load in Explorer 7. (Screen grab below.) Most images load fine, including ones from the same domain folder. In all cased I'm using fixed rather than relative URLs.

Bizarrely, if I load the image only, in a different tab, then it appears fine. However, even after that, a refresh on the original page fails to resolve the problem.

This defies logic. Well, my limited logic. However, it is a recurring problem. I have to fix it somehow!

I should stress that Firefox does NOT have the same issue... the images all load fine. The SIZE of the image does not appear to be a factor.

However (importantly) OTHER people with Explorer DO have the same problem.

I have turned smooth scrolling off and done everything else I can think of.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It's a real challenge.

I'm having trouble with 2 programs not loading at start up. Both are set to load in 'start>run>msconfig but I have to load them manually through the start>programs list about 50% of the time.
I'm fairly certain this is a computer problem rather than a program problem?
Any feedback? Thanks Dave

No matter what browser I use some webpages will not open. I usually get the following error code:

An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions 184.172.52.99:80

For some websites the IP address will be different but the port will still be the same.

I tried the following:

1. Flushed DNS cache
2. Disabled Firewall and AntiVirus
3. Opened port 80 in Windows Firewall both TCP and UDP
4. Through cmd I reset the TCP/IP
5. Changed DNS servers back to default (I was using OpenDNS servers) then flushed DNS cache again
6. Added the URL to the whitelist in my account in OpenDNS

None of these has resolved the issue. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which websites I get this error message on. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thank you in advance.

I have been having trouble on my pc with explorer web pages failing to load. Some sites work others don't. When I click on some site it will come up with the name in the tab and the circle will just keep spinning and page never loads. This is on any browsers I try, explorer, chrome, firefox. I thought that ccleaner may deleted something important. So I even reformatted my pc. work ok for a day maybe then the problem is back again. My laptop has no issue with any pages. If it wont load on desktop I can pull laptop out and open site up fine. Any ideals? I have flush dns reset internet settings, reconfig ip. Could it be my network card failing?

Some sites that wont load

adobe.com.... tab say waiting for adobe. hit stop tab has adobe icon blank page
Honda-tech.com... just get spinning circle. hit stop icon for site in tab page blank
truckforums.com . same as above.

just a few to list

Answer:explorer 10 certain pages fail to load.

Try running the site(s) that won't load or load properly in compatibility mode. I had that problem with too many sites and uninstalled I.E.10 and went back to I.E.9.

In I.E.10, click on Tools then Compatibility View and see if that helps those sites.

I'm a Windows Xp user.

When I first on my computer, Windows fail to load and then it reboots and the black screen asking me to load in safe mode, last good config, load windows normally will appear.

I have tried every option but my computer will just reboot and bring me back to the black screen with the same options. Sometimes, after selecting one of the options, my computer will freeze and i will have to manually reboot my computer.

I have to repeat this process for many times trying different options before I can start windows successfully.

I have tried to unplug all my usb ports connecting to printer/scanner.. Reinstall windows for 2 times.

This seems to happen each day, for the very first time I on my computer and since my computer is out of warranty, I want to try to 'fix' it my self if possible before I call in the techs.

Gang I am having a bad time trying to get Conexant audio to work. With the original Windows 10 install, from 8.1 via the wire [Home edition], the Audio device drivers were installed. on casual look things appeared ok until I looked in Dev Manager, in Properties, in the Events windows and got message:
Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2807&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000\4&17ddd72c&0&0001 requires further installation.
playing any sort of media file would result in sporadic, patternless fails. play for a few seconds, gap for a few seconds, play again, or fail altogether. Removed the Device Driver and instead opted for the generic "High Definition Audio" and it all seems to work ok.

Windows 10 specific device package from the maker, Lenovo, results in "success" at driver install, but fail in playback. Removing that entirely [driver deleted and verified before turning on the net again] then letting Windows install over the wire produced a similar fail but with a couple of diffs. At first it dropped the speakers, looking like the driver was installed but no 'speaker' showing up in the mixer. When I tried to uninstall that driver, Device Manager locked up ["not responding"].

If we assume that the driver is just badly botched, HOW do I get Winupdate to ignore, and leave me alone with the High Definition generic?

any light you can shed is greatly appreciated.

Greetings all,
I am working on creating a new master image to deploy windows 10 64 to a new of different models throughout our organization. Currently I am having difficulties getting the drivers to be "auto Detected"

The Sysprep command I am using is :
sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:C:\windows\system32\sysprep\10answer.xml

When the PC boots after being sysprep it does not detect and install the drivers.

I have loaded the uncompressed drivers to C:\windows\INF and created a folder called drivers. I set the permissions for pretty much anyone to have full control. If I manually point the driver install wizard to that folder they all install correctly. This previously worked in 7 32 bit without any thought.

I tried adding the driver path to Pass 2 and 5 in my answer file without any change.

I'm not sure I am going down the right path, and am curious to see if anyone has encountered this and made it work. Thanks for any time you may spend with this.

Answer:Driver Auto Load Fail with sysprep

Looks like it just wont play with unsigned without inserting through DSIM. Working perfectly afterwards though.

I've been having issues with my vBulletin 4 discussion forums for a while now and have tried almost everything to try and resolve the issue but nothing has helped.

I will be browsing the forums perfectly fine one minute, pages will load fine and under 3 seconds, the next I will click on a link and it will continuously load. I'm forced to cancel the page load and click the link again.

I've contacted HostGator about this issue, they've checked the server and they're reporting that everything is fine with the server I'm on. I've ran a vBulletin database check, repair and optimise. I've messed around with all of the settings, watered down my forum style, optimised the forum settings etc.

I'm not the only person having this issue; other users of my forum have reported it as well. Could it be that HostGator is in the US and I'm in the UK? Could it be the domain? Could it be HostGator?

What do you recommend I do? My forum isn't even popular!

Hi,

I am clueless on an issue that is getting really annoying on my network. We had some replication issues on our Domain controllers (2008 R2). I repaired the replication with repadmin and removing lingering objects.

However, even after this, my issue stays : Most servers on my domain are suffering from an issue that puts the NETLOGON service in manual mode randomly and does not start by itself while rebooting.

The issue sometimes even spread to certain workstations. I also have a hard time figuring out the issue in event viewer, it does not seems to have errors for this.

I have just enabled NETLOGON server verbosity for logging purposes but did anyone had this kind of issue?

When attempting to load any web page with a Java applet (for example, the Sun web page for checking if Java is working here) the applet fails to load showing a red x in the corner. The status bar either displays "Applet [AppletNameHere] notinited" or "Java applet failed load".

Running XP Pro x64 edition, same issue on both IE7 (32-bit) and FireFox 3. (IE7 64-bit is having a whole other issue so I wasn't able to test effectively on that.) Incidentally, while the current official release of Java does not support Chrome, a prerelease version on the Sun site does, but resulted in the exact same problem in Chrome as in FF3 and IE7.

I've totally removed (including cleaning up the left behind folders in local/all users App. Data and Program/Common Files) Java and in my attempts to fix it tried reinstalling different versions (one at a time, removing each between): 1.5.0_16, 1.6.0_07 (current), and 1.6.0_10RC2 (prerelease) all failed in very similar fashion, with slightly different worded errors in the console.

The only thing I could glean off the Java site is that is has to do with Proxy settings. I do not use a proxy of any sort (just a straight modem, not even a router). FireFox and IE are both set correctly not to use a Proxy. In the Java Control Panel, I've set the proxy to use browser, and to Direct Connection, neither to any avail. I have a proxy I can try to use, so I tried setting it to that, but it failed in the exact same... Read more

windows updates will not load - when I try to load non-critical updates they seem to be copied to the machine but the update fails when it comes to updating the system.

Answer:Windows non-critical updates fail to load

Did ALL the updates you just tried to install fail to install, or only some of them ?If it was ALL of them, have you run a Repair installation of Windows procedure, and it was only after you did that the updates will not install ?(As in, you booted the computer from the XP CD, chose to run Setup, then chose "Repair your existing Windows installation" or similar, and Setup completed successfully.).......In any case, if it was ALL of the updates that failed to install, then you probably need to repair Registry entries for Windows Update related files....It would be a good idea to print the following text.E.g. Select the following text, RIGHT click on the highlighted area, select Copy, open Notepad, place your blinking cursor on it, RIGHT click , select Paste. In Notepad's top bar - File - Print.Or use Wordpad for a better display of the longer lines - Notepad can mess that up. Click Start, select Run and type the following:cmd (click OK or press Enter) net.exe stop wuauserv (press Enter)(stops the Windows Update service) regsvr32 wuapi.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 wuaueng.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 wucltui.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 wups.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 wups2.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 wuweb.dll (press Enter) regsvr32 MSXML3.dll (press Enter) net.exe start wuauserv (press Enter) (starts the Windows Update service) Close the black Window.Restart the computer.Windows Update should then work fineYou can save yours... I'm having some kind of virus or god knows what on my network.

It started with my PC that I got a constant errors that TeaTimer.exe has got an error and I could press "Retry, Cancel and OK". None of the choices made a difference since the message kept popping up. After a while (minutes) it didn't anymore. I decided to Reboot. Then on the stage where the OS loads up (after the booting sequence and before the password entrance in windows) It resets the computer. That goes on and on. Can't go to Safe Mode - same thing happens there too.
I was OK with that and knew I'll install a fresh installation of WinXP in a few days.

BUT then my Notebook had the same signs (TeaTimer.exe errors) and suddenly I found it shutdown. Trying to reboot giving me resets on the stage I need to enter my password to windows.
Safemode loads properly so it seems.

Both computers run Spybot and AVG Free.

Any leads ???
Thanks a lot...

Edit: I've used WinXP Restore to recover my notebook. It's back on track for now. Going to scan the fella from head to toe. Still can't load my PC.

I think I had a short in the electrical cable of the cord on my computer and the computer crashed. I looked at the cable and one of the prongs in one of the three holes is fried. When i start it up, it seems fine but then will not load windows. When it goes through the attempts to repair automatically, it says it cannot repair. Any Idea as to what may be the issue and what I can do to fix it?

Answer:Short causing windows load to fail

Clear the CMOS and see if that helps. Might be a long shot, but worth a try.

Spontaneous and persistent slowdowns/hang-ups - is there hope?
This problem arose pretty much out of nowhere. I've actually had surprisingly good luck with Vista, it's been a couple years now and things generally have gone pretty smoothly.

Just yesterday, everything suddenly began running really poorly. The hard-disk "thinking noise" goes on much longer than it did before, firefox and winamp and other programs will freeze for a few seconds, then sometimes unfreeze and other times just stop responding and I'll have to ctrl-alt-delete.

Beyond these issues, which really I can live with, none of my games will load anymore. They'll start, but like for example Fallout 3's opening screens go MUCH more slowly. It will go from "Bethesda" to the next title card or whatever in like thirty seconds, and it never reaches the title screen, although the music keeps playing. Dead Space gets to the title screen, and you can attempt to load or start a game, but it will just continue loading indefinitely.

Far Cry 2 actually does start and does work, but the load times are significantly longer than before. Am I dealing with a failing hard drive here? It's relatively new, only a year and a half or so old. Is there some virus or problem I haven't found? Is there any hope? Not being able to continue playing Fallout has really got me down. I've run virus scans with what free programs I could find, nothing was found. I scheduled a few disk scans, and the results told me... Read more

Answer:Is there any hope? Games don't load, various programs fail

I guess there isn't any.

Last week I got my new laptop, which I imidiately upgraded to windows10.

My problem is that some (a lot) websites will not load. On my old machine the sites loads fine, and I can even ping them on my new machine, but the will not load in my browser (I have tried both Mozilla and Edge), but instead end up with 'the connection as timed out' after a few minutes (they load instantly on my old laptop).
Some websites can easily be opened but time out, when I try to login with my userid.

Since my computer is brand new (an Alienware 17) I don't know if the computer or the software is responsible, but my guess is that it's an obscure security setting somewere, eventhough, I have tried everything I can find on the net.

Have other users experienced a similar problem, and does anybody have a solution for the problem?

Hello,
I have operative Printer and Scanner equipment. The Printer was in use. At later point, installed Scanner which detect a error 43 Device Descriptor Request Failed. Uninstalled Scanner; uninstalled Printer. Reinstalled Printer, at this point, it returns the
same error 43 as Scanner, which I double check installing the drivers.
I did some attempts to recover USB drive with manufacturer driver. Fail. I even tried some youtube workarounds. None have repaired the usb.
Then I found
this site which led me to
this site. The former is more of a identify the problem tutorial, which I can't detect the event with the Netmon tool. It is simply unfindable.
The later do have a workaround; the Diagnose steps, again, couldn't be detected because Microsoft Message Analyzer couldn't start the Capture/Trace operation. Following, the workaround can't be applied because the 4-digit binary-coded decimal number that
contains the revision number of the device (device manager dialog) is not in the format of 4 digit * number.
What else should I try?

I will post more detail when I reach home. I just wanted to start off finally.

I appreciate your attention, Truly.

I have a problem with my laptop, which is a Dell M4800 Precision running Windows 7 x64 Pro.

What happens is whenever I plug in a usb device (keyboard, usb stick, usb floppy drive, etc) that this computer has not seen before, windows fails to install the device, stating that it could not find the device driver. Oddly enough it works fine with devices it has seen before some date in the past, such as my wireless mouse, all of my usb sticks, and my external harddrive.

If I plug a previously seen device into a port that it has never been in before, I get the same symptoms.

Looking up the failed device in device manager shows it with a code 28 (The drivers for this device are not installed.)

Stuff I have tried so far:
Updated the intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller drivers from Dell's website.
Ran the sfc /scannow command in a command prompt running as administrator. It stated everything was fine.
Followed every step in this guide (deleting INCACHE.1, etc): USB Driver - General Fix for Problems
Attempted to do a system restore, but the earliest one I had was from the 29th. Same problem when I restored to that state. I undid the restore.
Uninstalled everything under the usb devices in device manager, then rebooted. Windows was then unable to install virtually everything that used to be there. Had to restore the system to a point I made before attempting this so I could get back to at least using the known devices.
Transplanted the C:\Windows\inf directory from a known good... Read more

Answer:New USB Device Drivers Fail to Install

Perhaps you've somehow deactivated the automatic check with the Microsoft Update Catalog to retrieve drivers for newly installed hardware, which is where Windows would normally go to find these new drivers for devices not seen before on your machine.

Check the video on this MS web page, for instructions on how to enable this automatic retrieval of drivers from their "cloud", on the off-chance it's not currently set.

Otherwise, if you have an example of a device which fails to get the driver, can you post a screenshot from Device Manager showing it under "other devices" or "USB device" with a yellow exclamation mark (showing drivers not installed correctly)? Then, right-click on it, select Properties, go to the "details" tab, drop-down the Property Value listbox and select "Hardware ID", and post a screenshot of the hardware ID value you see there.

I am currently hitting an issue attempting to upgrade HP Device Manager to either version 4.6 or 4.7. The goal is to get it to 4.7 but I cannot complete the install. I currently get an issue upon completion of the install. Write local error: The system cannot find the path specified I have seen articles around this error but they relate to access denied and I have tried fixing permissions anyway but it has had no effect. I am in limbo here as the backend server is upgraded but the platform I deliver the client from is stuck at v4.5 Please help as I am sure someone has hit this issue before????? I am installing on Server 2008 R2 64bit OS and I am only installing the console element as nothing else is required. I have successfully installed just the console on a WIndows 7 64bit system so am really at a loss here. Regards,

Helping a friend clean up and repair a Gateway laptop. Finally got internet web pages to load (ran Norton removal program) and resolved some other issues using Registry Repair. However, nothing seems to be working to allow ServicePack2 to load (followed some MS suggestions), and there is at least one .NET update for SP1 that loads but won't configure correctly, so OS reverts to previous configuration.

I just starting having this problem a few weeks ago and took me a long time to narrow it down.

After I connect to my dial-up account, any programs I try to run won't load for 3-5 minutes. It is as if the computer is frozen except that any programs already open prior to dialing-up keep working fine. So long as I have my browser open BEFORE dialing, I can start surfing immediately. The hangup is only with exe's I try to run AFTER establishing the dial-up connection.

I have tried opening task manager before dialing so I could keep an eye on all the processes, but nothing seems out of place.

This only happens after dialing the connection and lasts for about 5 minutes or so and then everything works fine again. CPU and Memory usage is always normal so it's not like something is bogging the system down. It just won't load those new exe's right away.

This is getting old and I can't find a fix for it. I can't even find the source (other than being somehow dial-up related) Thanks for any help.

Answer:Exe's fail to load for several minutes after establishing dial-up connection.

Disable all your programs in msconfig, reboot and see what happens. What .exe 's are you referring too?

Hi - I have a G81915P Duo Pro mobo, XP and Vista on separate drives. I was (happily!) changing the boot order to select the OS. Then I increased (exchanged) my ram from 1GB to 2GB. The bios saw the new ram but XP sys info did not. It was recommended that I update my bios. So I went from F1 thru F3, F5 to F6. After each change I booted in bios fail-safe to XP. I did not notice that my Vista drive (IDE under a sata controller) was not shown in the boot up sequence selection.
So then I changed bios settings back to my original ones, saw my other IDE drives and booted into Vista.
Now I can only boot to XP by resetting my bios to 'failsafe' and to Vista by changing any bios setting. All very irritating!!
I have changed my bios back to F1 but it makes no difference.
Any ideas? TKIA

Answer:bios 'load fail-safe' needed to boot to HDD

Put back the latest BIOS version.

Start applying your own BIOS settings and see exactly which setting makes XP unbootable.

The message ?Fail to load module C:\Users\Ron Wolpa\AppData\Local\Icdrsoft\hpboidps.DLL? pops up just after Win 8 starts up.
It started to happen after AVG anti virus cleaned a possible threaten.
I was about to remove from registry then , before doing stupid things , I made up my mind to post a message here ; it is located @ HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT > WINDOWS > CURRENT VERSION > RUN under the name ICDRSOFT and data : regsvr32.exe "C:\Users\Ron Wolpa\AppData\Local\Icdrsoft\hpboidps.DLL".
If deleting from registry is not the solution what else can be done ?
Thank you for your support.

Answer:fail to load error message just after windows 8 starts up

It is possible that the threat was a false positive and warrants more investigation.
Select a system restore point prior to when the problem started.

Dear all,

I have been getting an error with the service "Desktop Windows Manager Session" and "WLAN Auto Config." Both are setup to start automatically but when I startup my computer, the welcome screen hangs for about 10 minutes !! Once it finally does log in, my computer starts in Windows Basic and the Wireless is disconnected. I have to restart both services to get my computer to run normally. What can I do to fix my start-up issue?

I've tried installing new drivers for GPU, disk checking, virus scanning, defragging, registry cleaning. I've looked up similar problems on Google but could not find a solution ... I've also removed at least a 100GB of programs. I'm close to reformatting if that is my last option.

PLEASE HELP, will respond fast.

Ok so I recently moved from vista to windows 7 and everything is great except that about 40% of the time when I restart my computer, the mousepad and video card drivers don't load up. The mousepad stops responding and the resolution goes to 800x600. When I look in device manager those two drivers say they failed to initialize and need a restart, I will post the exact error messages soon. Then when I restart everything runs fine. But this consistently happens, I believe it happens everytime I install something new and then restart. I can't figure out how to stop this from happening, anyone know what to do?

Once in a while, I would try to load an application, for example, a Setup.exe file to install Nero, but the mouse loading icon would display for a second or two, and then go back to normal again without the application starting. No error message whatsoever.

When I check the task manager, I can see the process has started, but I can't actually access the application. What could be the problem?

BTW, I'm using Windows XP.

Answer:Some applications fail to load, but no error message displayed

This is happening to me as well, but with almost every single application.
