Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007

Question: Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007

I'm running Media Center Edition 2005 and have Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 installed but it does not show up in the Add/Remove Programs list in the Control Panel. All the updates are listed but not the program itself. I don't need to uninstall it now but would like to know why it isn't there in case I should ever need to uninstall and reinstall it. BTW, this is a legal and validated version.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

For no apparent reason my version of MS Outlook has suddenly gone belly-up. All other apps. in Office work fine.
When I now try to open Outlook I receive the following "Cannot open your default email folders. The file C:\User\Maurice\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not a personal folders file"

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Office from the original disks a number of times, I have successfully installed this on another Win7 desktop computer partition and it works fine. I have attempted to follow the MS repair online notification for .pst but it doesn't seem to work (or maybe it is me that isn't working). Most frustrating. Any word by word suggestions greatly appreciated.

While there is a Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 edition, I have never heard of the "Blue Edition." Based on what I have seen on Google, it appears to be an illegal version.

The Enterprise version, which is not sold (you have to get the Ultimate Edition) includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access, OneNote, InfoPath and Groove 2007.

...and won't install

Right...where do I begin. I'm using an oldish PC with xp sp2. I downloaded and used some utils from this excellent site to try and increase it's performance (namely ccleaner, taskfree and complete clean up).

I found that after running these programs Office stopped working (I don't know whether it is related to those programs) saying that it was not installed for that user, or words to that effect. I spoke to an IT guy at work about this and he told me to unistall office totally then try reinstalling it - i did this following instructions from the microsoft site.

On reinstalling I was presented with the 'Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 encountered an error during setup' message. I've tried loads of 'fixes' from different forums and from microsofts site and nothing has worked.

Has anybody got any ideas of a way to sort this problem?

Answer:Problem installing Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 64bit

Have you tried exploring the DVD contents and clicking on setup.exe? Hold down the shift key whilst you insert DVD in drive (this stops Autorun DVD) so you can explore the contents.
answers.microsoft.com/office2007-officeinstall/microsoft-office-2007-enterprise-setupexe-wont suggests solution. Also note: Office 2007 is 32-bit only but will run in a 64-bit Windows OS. Office 2010 is the first that has both 32 and 64 bit version though the 32-bit still works in a 64-bit os.

Answer:please wait while windows configures microsoft office enterprise 2007 problem.

A common problem - here's Chris Pirillo on it:"Poor Big John Midland. Every time he launches a Microsoft Office application the Windows Installer box comes up. Uninstalling and re-installing hasn?t helped the issue. Luckily, I have a very good idea what the problem is.Most likely, a third party extension is causing this trouble. I asked John what version of Windows and Office he runs. He?s using Vista and Office 07. Both are still relatively new programs, and still have some bugs in them. He doesn?t recall installing anything new that would hook into Office. But that is probably the trouble here. I advised John to go through Microsoft Word and Outlook both to check active addins. Disable them one by one, and see if any of them fixes the problem. If not, then he needs to go through his programs, and uninstall or disable (one at a time again) any programs? such as Adobe Acrobat Professional? which tie into Office. I?d bet the farm that he will track down the problem through this method of madness."And here is a MS kb.Put the message into Google for plenty more users with the problem.   Looks like a bugfix from MS is required.Good luck

I'm attempting to install Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, and during installation an error message appears that says something like: error - cannot update file/folder at c:\windows\pchealth, installation cannot proceed.

Then the installer rolls back everything and I get mad. Does anyone have any suggestions? How do I authorize the folder? This has been happening for a while and a solution will make me very happy inside.

Just thought I'd also mention this as it may have some bearing on why this is happening: When I purchased my computer it came with Windows XP Media Center, but a virus plagued my system and my hard drive became corrupted and I had to reinstall windows. Unfortunately, I didn't have the installation disk and ended up installing a non-Media Center edition on a disk from my roommate. I don't know if this would affect anything...but just thought I'd put it out there.

Hi there
much as I like Office 2010 and will continue to use it I find it a bit frustrating to have to re-activate it every time I use my Win 8 to go system on different computers -- even though I do have an Enterprise version.

The Enterprise version of Office 2007 seems much more tolerant -- I tested my win2go on 8 different machines - all with different hardware - some INTEL CPU's some AMD's.

Wasn't required to activate it again EVEN ONCE !!so I'm going to use Office 2007 Enterprise - Luckily I still had the old install disk from work.

Note this is a LEGAL copy -- no keygens / hacks / poodlefaking activation servers etc.

(You WILL have to activate it the first time after installing it).

It still gives security updates etc from Ms update and I believe its still supported until mid 2015 and there isn't a lot of difference if any in the document formats between 2010 and 2007).

So now I have a nice PROPER portable system with a decent version of Office on it.

Cheers

I recently formatted my HD and reinstalled MS Office Enterprise 2007, I last used MS Excel on the 08/06/2014 without a problem, today I go to use my Excel spreadsheet and for some weird reason it wants to roundup my cells.
I have cleared the cells formatted the number but it still keeps on rounding up 25799 to 258. I downloaded a stack of MS Office updates 3 days ago, is it possible one of these Updates has corrupted - broken my Excel program?

I am considering uninstalling all of those updates and turning off Updates for MS Office altogether.

Answer:Excel 2007 (MS Office 2007 enterprise)

Hi there.

To test if it's really a software issue, please try out on a new excel spreadsheet and see if the problem is still there. It might not necessarily be the software. Once we have confirmation that the problem exist on a fresh new spreadsheet, then try to do a repair first before uninstalling.

I am not sure when this happened, but there is no data in the 'Help' links to any of the modules. When I press the "?" help links, either nothing happens at all or a box opens and when I touch 'list the index' it appears on the left, but nothing displays on the answer box on the right. I have tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling - still the same.

I have searched the internet and there does appear to be history on this, but unfortunately none with any resolution to the problem.

I do not own a fax mechine in my home.

I have written a document and filled in a PDF form and saved in my computer.

I have written my document in the Office Enterprise 2007-Word on my desktop that has Win 7 Ultimate x64 OS.

Is ther a free software that I could use to fax my document using my broadband connection directly from my computer to a destination that request my document & the PDF form?

Regards

Answer:How could I fax in office Enterprise 2007 &Win 7 Ultimate x64?

Fax (or facsimile as it stands) for uses A Fax Modem, so an old fashioned 56k PCI Fax/Modem can be used to send Faxs using Windows built in fax facilities (see the Fax device in Devices and Printers) which can be configured to use the Fax/Modem.

A less well known way is Fax over IP, which uses VOIP (Voice over IP facilities), so you could use a Skype account and an add-on called PamFax (Use Skype As a Fax Machine: Send a Fax from Computer).

The only other way it so Email the PDF to the user, FTP it to a FTP file server, or use a Instant Messaging utility such as Windows, MSN, Google or Yahoo chat to send it over your broadband network to another user.

Answer:Windows 7 RC & Office 2007 Enterprise

Office 2007 Enterprise Edition is fully functional in Windows 7. Either your files are corrupt on your install disk or something went wrong on the install. And I don't think you should talk about patching/cracking programs, but I will let you know I didn't need a patch for Office 2007, just a serial.

I'm trying to find out if MS Office Enterprise 2007 is a stand alone product like MS Office Professional 2007. All I use from the MS Office suites are Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. I'm unclear if MS Office Enterprise 2007 is an add-on to MS Office Professional 2007 or a stand alone product. I have MS Office Professional 2003, should I even bother updating to MS Office Enterprise 2007? Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,

Answer:MS Office Enterprise 2007 question

Hi

Yes it is, its no different to Office Pro, this one tho is more feature rich on applications ( for the full Office package of apps you'd need Office Ultimate... guide to versions below )

To only install the Office components you want choose custom install and untick the ones you dont need.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101635841033.aspx?ofcresset=1

As for upgrading, thats something you would have to decide, but do you need to update, do you get it cheap/free via work? If you get it cheap/free then its worth the upgrade but a warning, files saved in Office 2007 format will not open with older versions of office unless you install the compatability pack on the older Office installed PCs. ( or change the way you save in office 2007 by choosing Save As > pick the older formats )

Hi i recently tried to uninstall microsoft office enterprise 2007. It would not uninstall correctly with 3rd party uninstallers or add/remove. I got rid of all the updates and eventually it did not show up in the program list in add/remove. I went microsoft support and follwed directions to remove office thru windows folders and the registry. I used 2 recommended tools to remove it they didnt work. I ran 2 registry editors they found the keys and removed them. But then after i restarted and ran the same reg scan again the same keys appeared again. If it didnt cause me no trouble i would just let it go but, when i tried to start a couple programs that i hadnt run in awhile, an installer window would come up saying preparing to install,
then it would say preparing microsoft office enterprise 2007 to install. When all i tried to do was start a program one of the programs was Driver Genious Profeesional edition. So I have been trieing to figure out how to get rid of this problem. Does anybody know how to solve this.
In addition here is my system: Win xp pro with service pack 3
Also i do not intend to re install office i switched to open office so i would really like to get rid of all instances of it.

My Microsoft Word would not open, so I decided to uninstall and then reinstall MS Office 07. Every time I try to install it, the green installation progress bar hangs at the same area (about 80% complete). It never moves or finishes from there. I've even left the program to install while I sleep, giving it several hours to finish installation, but the progress bar remains at the same place.

I never get an error message or anything. The only way I get get the installation to cancel is if I terminate it through Task Manager.

I've tried using Microsoft Fix-It and other programs to remove Office completely and start from scratch. I've used CCleaner to get rid of any Office-related registry keys that may be hanging around. Nothing has worked.

My OS btw is Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.

I also ran an sfc to see if a system file could be preventing Office from installing completely but it found nothing.

There are no viruses or spyware on this computer after running a virus scan and a Malwarebytes scan.

Answer:Office 2007 Enterprise will not finish installing

Try disabling your antivirus software temporarily

Also check the cd for scratches and clean if necessary.

I'm currently running both of these, and any time I receive an e-mail, outlook crashes, gives me the option to send an error report, and then restarts. However, if I disable the e-mail scanning, everything is fine. Obviously I do not want to run outlook 2007 if I have to keep scanning disabled, so I'm wondering...does anyone know if McAfee plans to come out with a patch for this soon?

Answer:Office Outlook 2007 and McAfee Enterprise 8.0i

It's not a solution, but you are using something that's considered beta, and shouldn't be used in the production environment. Of course, I'm talking about McAfee!

It is very tempting for me to point at McAfee as the problem, since that's some of the worst software ever created (please smack your IT folks, and tell them to switch during their next upgrade cycle). However, your Office suite is still in beta as well, so there's a very good chance this is a bug that will be worked out by the final version.

Hi everyone,

I have been having an issue with my computer for the past few weeks and I was wondering if you guys could please help me out. So, I used to have Office 2007 on my computer. Recently, when trying to install 2013, I found out I had to first uninstall 2007. Simply using programs and features was not so simple, and I had to do it manually, which I probably ended up doing some steps wrong. Now, when I constantly click on certain things-- like control panel or personalization-- I receive an installer for Microsoft Enterprise 2007. Obviously, I do not want this; frankly, I don't even know what it is; I assume some part of Office. If I attempt to complete the install, I get an error of having insufficient files (the one thing that seems to make sense). If I click cancel, it does cancel, however; I get a windows explorer error. I don't know about you guys, but based on my knowledge of windows, the correlation--or lack there of-- between these errors seems to make no sense to me. Could someone please help me in removing this install and just making it go away completely? Thank you so much!

Answer:Office Enterprise 2007 constantly tries to install

Hi there and welcome to Eight Forums,

It seems to me like you screwed up the uninstallation of Office 2007 . There must be some files left behind so now the system is trying to repair the installation. But it cannot do that due to insufficient of files.

It seems to me you can do two things in this stadium. First of all, you could do a full reinstallation of your PC. That is a proven method but it takes time. The other option would be the more likely one ==>
First you must uninstall the Office 2013 installation (don't worry, after you've reinstalled it the software will remember your settings );
Then try to reinstall the Office 2007 using the origional installation disk;
If the reinstallation of Office 2007 succeded you can try a uninstallation of Office 2007 (via add/remove programs. Read first then click );
If the uninstallation of Office 2007 was succesfull you can reinstall Office 2013.
I recon there is a 50% change that the tips above will work. It all depend on how screwed up the remaining Office 2007 files are.

Good luck with it!

Greetz,

Rover
ps. If you use Outlook PST files don't forget to make a BACKUP first! And don't configure the software to custom specs until after the operation was succesfull.

Hi
I would like to download a copy of office 2007 in case my computer brokes down.
I have the key but not the CD.I tried the Microsoft site where you can download a
copy of office 2007 with your product key but it says that the key is invalid

Answer:Where can I download a copy of Office Enterprise 2007?

To the best of my knowledge...
Since Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 was never sold outright (legally) on the retail market, or offered to OEM's and only offered with a volume license, you should be able to get the install package from your enterprise administrator (at work).

If you are the person in charge of the licensing information, you should be able to log into the Licensing Center, where the download is available...
https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx

Best of luck and Please keep BC posted!

I dowloaded and installed Office 2007 Enterprise 2 days ago (with a crack serial # that doesn't allow me to register the product anyway!) Installing pirated copies of software carries a risk. Aside from the inability to remove Office 2007, you may also be infected with viruses and spyware. I would suggest formatting your system.

Answer:Office Enterprise 2007 - new install fails

I'd recommend you use a registry cleaner and delete all the install files before you try installing again. After that, just for fun, try defragmenting your hard drive. Then reinstall.

The registry cleaning and clearing the install files should help a bit. I'm not sure about the defragmenting, but I'm often a fan of trying to trick a computer into doing what it should.

I have a dell dimension 4700c. I had to re-load XP and re-load most of the drivers. Device manager shows all hardware working O.K and all drivers have been updated/reloaded. I have re-installed most of the software that came with the machine, and it has installed all the updates, including SP3. I cannot load the MS office enterprise 2007. After putting it in the cd drive, nothing happens. If I go to "run" to install, I get "install a disc in cd drive" warning. It's as if it doesn't recognize there's a disc in the drive. It also wouldn't recognize the AVG disc I have. It shows nothing in explorer, either. What can I do to install this software? Is there a hardware issue?

A few months ago I tried installing Office 2007 Enterprise Edition and encountered the 1704 installation error. After many failed attempts, I let it go. I am now trying to install it again, as I prefer MS Office to Openoffice.

I have read many, many different posts regarding people being unable to install Office 2007 due to the 1704 error and have followed all the steps from the MS site on how to 'correct' this problem, but to no avail.

It's believed that the error is due to the <CONFIG.MSI> setting file attributes to READ ONLY which borks the installation. It's also believed that is caused by a hotfix/hotfixes. This makes sense since I had not installed Office previously on this installation, but had installed SP1 prior to attempting to install Office.

The problem that I have is that I still cannot find a fix for this. Does anyone actually know WHICH hotfix/es are causing this? Is there actually a work-around available?

We purchased 6x secondhand Dell Vostro 230 PCs from a business that was closing down.
All have Office Enterprise 2007 installed. Using Belarc, it has been identified that all computers have the same product key. After Office was wiped on one, when the PC was 'factory reset', it could not be reinstalled and a call to MS resulted in being told we need to buy a retail copy, as we could not provide the licensing details.
With Office Professional 2007 costing several hundred dollars, any suggestions to circumvent this, as the PCs were a legitimate purchase?

Answer:Reinstalling Office 2007 Enterprise without licensing details

Hi there.

Why not just take an IMAGE from one of the other computers and restore it on to the "broken one". They are all "Identical machines" !!!.

When you get asked for Windows re-activation just enter the product number of the original computer I would assume these machines have either Enterprise or Pro version of windows installed on them.

I'd even suspect that as they are identical machines you wouldn't even have to activate Windows again !!! -- but to comply with the EULA you really should enter the ORIGINAL product key --so do it via CHANGE PRODUCT KEY (or type SLUI 3 from the Run command).

Office won't need activation -- no hardware change.

The BELARC data should give you the product key of the ORIGINAL windows key for the "Broken" machine. Alternatively the windows key might be on a sticker on the machine itself or perhaps on the invoice when you purchased the machines.

(To image the machines use Free Macrium to copy image to external device and boot from USB / DVD)

How do I get rid of this, please - it pretends to be a MS prog, but I don't think it is. Everytime I want to access older versions of Excel or Word, it tries to install itself, and I can't get rid of it. Is it dangerous?

Answer:"Microsoft Enterprise Office"

Microsoft Office Enterprise, as opposed to your posted name of "Microsoft Enterprise Office" is a genuine MS Office product, in fact I have just bought it (not installed yet) through my wife's work (NHS) for 9. click hereWhen you have it installed alongside an older version of MS Office, it does indeed "try to install itself" when you try to start it, in fact most MS Office products do that when there is more than one version installed on the same PC. Have you maybe installed a trial of MOE or had a version pre-installed on your PC, or maybe you're using a work PC?If none of the above senarios apply, and you think your "Microsoft Enterprise Office" is a rogue program, try running a scan with MBAM. click here

"An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Please run Setup and select 'Repair...' to restore this application"

Now i assumed that this was due to the fact that this was a student account. We then upgraded the account to Domain Admin, and we are getting the same error.

This is in an enterprise, and if we were to repair the Word File, We would have to do it on all 18 computers on said domain.

Hi,

I've spent hours trying to install the Microsoft Home Use Program on my personal notebook PC at home with no success. My workplace enables me to purchase a licensed copy at a cheaper rate to put on my home computer, whilst I remain employed by them.

I click on the link to http://hup.microsoft.com/.
Select the country "Australia".
Enter my corporate email address.
I enter the program code that work gave me.
I check my work email account and receive the email successfully.
I open the email which says "congratulations, you are eligible to purchase the home use program for $28".
I click on the green "Buy Now" button.

Then, this is where it all goes wrong.... Instead of taking me to the screen that allows me to purchase my license/product key and download the software to my PC, the screen reverts back to the previous one which asks me for my corporate email address and program code! I am going around in circles! There are no error messages.

I have tried turning off the antivirus program and I have tried cleaning and fixing my drives. I have a brand new ASUS notebook PC model PRO50G with stickers on it saying windows vista and intel pentium.

Microsoft has announced the availability of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for the 2007 Microsoft Office system few days back. The update includes major performance enhancements for Office applications, most notably Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Another big benefit is SP2’s boost to interoperability.
This tutorial will help you to slipstream Office sp2 updates into your Office 2007 DVD.
Follow the simple steps given below.

Ok, well up until yesterday my father was using Office 2000 with Microsoft binder for work. He just got a new laptop for work and he's got Office 2007 installed. From the looks of Microsoft's site it states that 'Microsoft Unbind is not included with Office 2007.' Looks like what I really need is Microsoft Binder from Office 2000. Is there a place I can download it (legally) or purchase it? He literally has thousands of binder files (*.obd) that he needs to be able to access. I've tried searching with nothing turning up.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Answer:Microsoft Office Binder (*.obd files) with Office 2007?

So further searching turned up that Unbind for Office XP/2003 is just a waste of time for Office 2007 and no point in looking further into that.

So then I found this:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822622

Which seems to me if I can track down a Office 2000 disc I should be able to install JUST Binder 2000. Results show that it works along side Office XP/2003 so I don't see why it wouldn't with Office 2007. It would only be used to unbind old files, not create new ones.

If anyone has any other thoughts that would be great.
I'll look into what I wrote above tomorrow and post back with the results if need be.

Does anyone know what happens in February 2007, after trialling the Beta version and having had your current Office software over-written. Does the Beta version reinstate the former version, or are you forced to re-install yourself?

Answer:Microsoft Office 2007 - February 2007????

Good question. I bet the FE would know that if he's about. He's our friendly local MS Beta tester (the ones who get to try it long before the mortals!)

:wave If I have, and LOVE Open Office :drool, but run in to the occasional file that I can't open with it, not the new .xdoc or anything, but for instance, a friend of mine sent me a .doc that I couldn't open with OOrg, can they coexist on a machine? Can I still use OOrg for everything, and MSO for things that get emailed to me?

I am guessing I can, and this new CD is licensed for 3 machines, so I might use it on mine, if it's not going to mess up OOrg..

Thanks guys!

Both windows XP Machines.. my signature refers to a machine I have at home. lol

Answer:Open Office & Microsoft Office (2007)

Yes, you can run OOorg and MS Office on the same PC. You may run into occasional problems when the PC can't decide which program to use to open a certain document, but this is easily solved by right clicking on the document, and selecting Open With and then selecting the program you want to open it with.

Ok, so I got a Trojan virus and had to use Dell Datasafe to delete everthing on my computer and reinstall windows. Now, when I open any of the Microsoft Office programs it asks for a key, which i don't have. I never got an office CD with my computer, so where do i find my key? If it helps, here's my computer info:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7450 @ 2.13GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10
Processor Count: 2
RAM: 4056 Mb
Graphics Card: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, 1804 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 290204 MB, Free - 214483 MB;
Motherboard: Dell Inc., 0G848F, , .HV9M1K1.CN701669BU048S.

Answer:Problem With Microsoft Office 2007 Office

How did you reinstall Office if you didn't have the CD for it?
The key should have been included with the documentation when you bought your PC. Unfortunately if it's not included in the documentation there is little likelyhood that you will be able to recover it now you have wiped everything. Have you contacted Dell for support?

I have vista home premium 32bit and i have been recently getting error messages like the following: "the program has stopped working". Microsoft office 2007 was working for about couple of weeks when i installed it, but later on, it started not to work. I tried the repair function, reinstalling it, manually deleting the files and reinstalling it afterwards. I have also tried installing service pack 1 RTM to see if it will fix the problem. But so far, nothing works. Will the offical service pack fix this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a friend that is looking at getting Microsoft Office 2007 because she does not have excel. My concern is that she works out of her home and does a lot of communication with people across the state. SHe receives excel spreadsheets from various sources to view and at times edit. My concern is if she edit it and sends it back to the sender that they may not be able to view or edit the spreadsheet correctly if they have an earlier version such as 2000 or 2003. Also is there a certain version of operating system that is not compatible to Microsoft Office 2007.Thanks for any insight.

Hey, i just installed office 2007 enterprise and i am wondering where i can find the templates in word and excell just like i had it when i was running office 2003. thanks

Answer:Microsoft Office 2007

Open Word and/or Excel, click the "orb" at the top left, and click on "New". Then, on the right side of the New dialog window, there's a pane containing templates, mostly from Office Online, which you can browse from within that window. Once you select a template, if it's not already on your computer, MS Office will automatically download the template for you.

Answer:Microsoft Office 2007 help

Welcome to the forum. There is no way that I know of to display the Recently Opened Files in a taskpane anymore. You will however see them when you click on the Microsoft Office Button.

Anyway a while back my daughter for her online class had to install the trial version of microsoft office professional 2007 mainley to use the office word part. Well now that the trial version has expired none of the features work. If I uninstall this expired version from the computor, will the old version still be present? If the two intermixed will both be uninstalled? I don't know if I have the original installation cd. All that microsoft works stuff was already installed on the computor. Is it at possiable to restore the original microsoft office programs? Thier pretty expensive otherwise!!
Hope this all made since. Thanks .

Can I replace my Office 2003 with Office 2007 without replacing Win XP sp2 with Vista ?? Does Office 2007 automatically overwrite 2003 or does it uninstall it..... or do I have to uninstall before ?? Thanks

Answer:Microsoft Office 2007

1) Yes it runs on XP.2) You will be prompted on installation as to whether to remove Office 2003. It will remove Outlook 2003 anyway.

I just bought a new Acer laptop with Windows 7.  It only includes a "trial version" of Microsoft Office 2007.  It allows for access to the program 25 times before requiring a product key.  I have a copy of Office 2003 on a CD that a friend gave me years ago.  No doubt it would do the trick although I'd prefer the newer version.  Any advice as to how I could acquire a copy of 2007 the same way I got 2003?

Answer:Microsoft Office 2007

You'll need to pay the customary fee for a full software license to continue using Office 2007 after the trial period. If the Home and Student version of Office 2007 would suit your needs, it costs much less than the other versions.

Hello, I bought a new computer in March and it came with a trial version of Microsoft Office 2007. I did some work using it and am wondering if now I will lose it all? It says my time is up trying it out. I have my old Microsoft Office, which I think is 2003 version. How can I save my files I have done and saved on my computer if I uninstall the 2007? I do have a flash drive, will the files work with my old version if I want to work on them again? Sorry if this is a silly question. Karla aka grandmakarla

Answer:Microsoft Office 2007

Hi

and no not silly question at all, you'll need this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...70-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en it will give your office 2003 the compatability to open office 2007 docs in which you can then re-save them in Office 2003 format if you wish.

The new Office 2007 formats are very different to previous office formats, although you can if choosing Save As in Office 2007 save the docs in a format that can be opened by previous Office Editions, choose Save As > Word 97-2003 Document.

Or the compatability patch above works fine too.
